Pros: Perfect location to explore the Zemplen Mountains with walking trails starting right at the front door.
Pros: There is a very good pension, rooms are new, clean and quiet. I´ve spent there only one night with my family (2 children) but I was satisfied. We had 2 separate rooms which was really ideal for us. The refrigerator is in the hall, used by every rooms, no issue. Hotel is located in the middle of village, near forest with so many bike ways. Staffs are very friendly and speak english.
Cons: Food menu, la carte is only in the Hungarian language. It will be better to have it also in English or with pictures because it saves time during ordering of dinner or lunch. We payed cca 12 euros more as was booked via booking.com (we booked room with breakfast but we payed price as on booking and additional price for breakfast) . I think that there is a communication problem between booking server and pension. But in general still good price for this level of pension.
Pros: The owner - Mr. Barath Zoltan have done all his best to make our trip special (welcome drink, tasty food for low prices, etc) Some guest told in reviews that the menu is basic, but in the heart of Zemplen Mountain this variety is more than rich, tasteful and served in minutes from the order. (if you came back from mountaineering with a wolf hunger it worth a lot this small detail)
Cons: In the morning and evening - if we forget the windows open - a strong food smell entered the room situated on the kitchen side of the right part of the hotel (room nr 5) I am sure it will be changed installing an active carbon filter on the exhauster.
Pros: We booked three rooms at this hotel in order to spend time with friends. All three rooms were very nicely appointed, attractively decorated and comfortable. We all loved the outdoor seating area as well as the indoor common area. Breakfast was very nice and the coffee was wonderful. Parking was also made available for us directly in front of the accommodation. There is a large kitchen and we were welcomed to use the kitchen one night for dinner which was very much appreciated.
Cons: This property allows animals and the first night we were there, all of us were greatly disturbed by a dog in house that barked randomly throughout the night!
Pros: Nicely furnished.
Cons: The breakfast was very poor. Expected something different. Disappointment.
Pros: Very nicely renovated house Great for relaxing or to organize hiking trips in the area The host is kind You can taste their own wine Or you can even arrange a bigger party
Pros: Everything. Stylish, comfortable, friendly. Also very much liked the small restaurant downstairs.
Pros: Beautiful room, really nice furniture and perfectly renovated, spacious and nice bathroom, quiet garden, truly perfect! Owner was very helpful, he was a great help in organizing the weekend!
Cons: Breakfast was less of my taste, I appreciated that there were fresh vegetables too, but too much meat products and nothing sweet, orange juice and coffee could have been better quality. - but this is a small detail, overall perfect experience and thank you so much!!! And when we asked for some jam for breakfast, we got a delicious home made plum jam so thank you for everything!

Guests can rent a bicycle and explore the Tokaj wine region, or visit Szerencs castle, 10 km away. A shuttle service is available on request, and free public parking is offered at Oroszlános Borvendéglő és Borhotel.
Pros: Calm area, peaceful village
Cons: Staff is absent during most of the day, very limited services, spa was closed in the evening and also due to maintenance. Breakfast is ok but also limited in terms of selection. Receptionist is not too service minded. Overall this property is not the best selection in the area...and limited value for money (especially if Eur/Huf rate is inadequately used by management)
Pros: Cozy, extremely silent, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a short weekend getaway
Pros: The place itself is nice, clean and quiet.
Cons: We’ve paid premium price for 2 nights with breakfast. Only once we arrived we found out that the hotel is actually closed, there is no reception, no access to wellness. The bar, reception and wine tasting are all closed throughout the week. We obviously arrived on Sunday evening and were welcomed by receptionist to only gives us the key from our room who explained the breakfast is in the fridge in our room. (Baguette and fruit) We were in the famous Tokaj wine region but we couldn’t even open a bottle of wine as there was no bottle opener, no glasses, no coffee or tea for us to enjoy. The second day they opened the restaurant to serve breakfast but if I didn’t pass by I wouldn’t know this was actually happening. The whole experience was plainly bad even tho the place is actually nice. I wouldn’t recommend to come here during the week but assume the experience over the weekend can be somehow better. But I won’t find out as I won’t come back.
Pros: Friendly staff, very silent and nice area. It is a good starting point for visiting the near turist spots. I liked much the restaurant. The menu is relatively short, but the food is excellent. I'll come again for sure.
Pros: Very nice hospitality! They handle your problem professionally and correctly. Due to a technical difficulty we had 29 C in our room and they upgraded us to a family room with a nice bottle of white wine. I can tell they have a nice management team. Creative menu at the restaurant.
Cons: Sauna was only 65 degree.
Pros: Huge room for the family, extra bed and cot bed provided upon request.
Cons: Room key is still the old heavy one and you are expected to carry it with yourself as Reception is not 24/7.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very clean, food is nice, wine there is good and reasonable price. Staff very nice
Pros: 24hr reception
Cons: The bed sheets stopped short before the pillow. Not very pleasant to sleep on a raw mattress
Pros: Its a no frills 3 star place in a quiet location . The reception staff were freindly and extremely helpful . The place is clean and well maintained. Good place for a 2-3 night stay .
Cons: The restaurant management is a little shoddy, which sometimes is a problem considering not many choices to go around (other restaurants) near to this location. We were asked to vacate our outdoors table bcos a group had booked the outside area eventhough we were also guests at the hotel.
Pros: So I was looking for a place to do remote job while visiting the Tokaj region, and I didn't expect such a 3-star hotel for that low price (maybe because of low season). The Wi-Fi was unreachable from the room, but ok in the common spaces, with good armchairs and tables. There is no other restaurant in Erdöbénye except the hotel's one, so it's about 3000 Ft a meal in average, it can seem pricey for this region, but these are big portions. Breakfast is big too, you are never hungry at lunchtime. They could arrange the breakfast earlier and free shuttle back to Erdöbenye/Szegilong train station on checkout day. Nice wine-related decoration in the hotel. Wine cellars nearby, but few are open in November.
Cons: Well, of course a person who is used to 3-star level hotels would say that there are a few mistakes, like tea served instead of coffee, or getting the breakfast menu in a random language each day... but you know, it's like part of the experience, it will get better with time. Let's be supportive to this team of young people, who bring tourism opportunities to the village.
Pros: Great location, also we felt comfortable with our baby. The baby cot what the hotel offered was great. Great starting point to explore the hiking trails in the surrounding mountains, also to explore Tokaj vineyards.
Cons: The staff, some waiters could be more polite.
Pros: Quiet, private, clean, air condition, good parking, can get laundry done
Cons: Not enough food options! Same menu at restaurant for lunch, dinner and breakfast. Not enough supplies to cook with and eat in the apartment.
Pros: I liked the range of facilities, and the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: There was a bar in with the bowling, but no signs telling us it was there, we only found out on the last night at 20.40 and then they were shutting early. A bit disappointing.
