Pros: The location is wonderful - secluded, romantic - perfect for a swim in the lake. The house is wonderfully decorated and we had access to a kitchen. In the evening it was perfect to have a drink in the garden overlooking the lake. The hosts were very friendly and it was nice to hear about the history of this unique and beautiful house.
Pros: Where to start? This is a place you actually want to keep to yourself. The view is amazing, when you look out of your window you see the lake. There is a small private beach where you can enter the water for a swim. The breakfast is really good with home made bread, fruit salade, yoghurt and good coffee. After breakfast, Just sit down in the garden and take in the view.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to not like!
Pros: Personal touch by the owner. It was very different from other hotels. It give you a more authentic swiss feel.
Cons: Dont check in during night time as it took us a while to find it
Pros: Breakfast is great, adding the great view, it's perfect!
Pros: Everything is perfect beside shared bathroom/toilet - but its only for two guests
Cons: shared bathroom/toilet
Pros: Very nice view out over the lake, both from the room and the dining room used for breakfast. (And there is an easy walking path along the lake toward Neuchâtel.) The Neuchâtel tourist booklet grants you admission to a variety of museums and attractions in the area, making it easy to explore a little.
Pros: the room was lovely and comfy. gorgeous view. amazing views to make your heart beat faster. also a lovely reading corner. perfect break when biking around

Pros: Superb location with a great lake and Alps view. The whole staff is friendly and helpful, specifically the owner/managing director. Great breakfast and restaurant.
Pros: The location is beautiful and the staff is very kind and friendly.
Pros: daniela and rené both are living examples of genuine hospitality, kindness as well as authentic professionalism. a place to discover, a place to be and to stay for a while! thank you both!
Pros: Comfortable room with wonderful views
Pros: Everything. The room are perfect, clean, well equipped and also very nice. Quite simple but stylish.
Cons: The restaurant is good but too expensive for what you get. The food is clearly not prepared from fresh ingredients but mostly assembled. Even though the meat is very good, all the garniments are industrial pre-prepared stuff.

Pros: The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. High quality in everything. The view over the lake. The rooms were very clean.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great. We travellered with handluggage only (from Sweden) so I would have appreciated a pair of slippers and a bathrobe even if it would have been charged extra.
Pros: Didn’t have a safe but wasn’t in need either.
Cons: Very nice view of the lake and Erlach. Food was delicious and attention as well.
Pros: Food was excellent - fillet se perche !
Cons: Everything was good nothing to complain.
Pros: Staff is very friendly and accommodating- we were traveling with two small kids. Everybody had a friendly smile ready and they found solutions on how to accommodate for the kids, like food items etc.
Cons: Bathroom has no door... at least for our room, we would have preferred a proper door, rather than a big thick curtain
Built in 1873 as a girls' boarding school, the charming Hotel Garni Villa Carmen in La Neuveville at Lake Biel offers an outdoor pool, a tennis court and free Wi-Fi. The recently renovated Villa Carmen is situated amid large gardens, a few minutes' walk from the shore of Lake Biel, the La Neuveville Train station and the centre, where you can find some nice bistros. Rooms are spacious and have an en-suite bathroom or shared facilities. Some offer lake views and a balcony.
Pros: Comfortable beds and very quiet! The staff were so nice and helpful, they made us feel like family!
Pros: Swimming pool. Good shower. Quiet room with plenty of space and several windows. The atmosphere of staying in a mansion rather than in an hotel. It was our fourth stay here and we always enjoy it for comfort, convenience and charm.
Cons: My wife objects to the scent of fabric conditioner on the sheets. I have to say I did not notice it!
Pros: Hospitality and welcome from the host was great. you feel quickly at home. Nice to have swimming pool and available bike. Close to train station to go around.
Cons: Air conditioning is missing as many places in Swizterland :)
Pros: A lovely BnB is a tastefully renovated house. The owner is very helpful and welcoming. Its located close o the old town - easy walk.
Cons: The pool area lacked pillows for the loungers.
Pros: Nice old building Sunny swimming pool
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, the place was clean and room was large
Cons: we have booked two rooms for 4 people. The rooms althought the price was the same were just two different quality. The room in first floor was o.k. but the room on second stock - it was extremly simple and didn't meet the quality of the other one at all. The bathroom was extremely small, water was working very slowly , to adjust the temperature of the water in the shower was extremely hard (the water was too hot and was not possible to adjust it less temperature).
Pros: swimming pool, location
Cons: need to pay extra for the tennis court
Pros: Friendly staff. Large room. Quiet, yet central, location. View of the lake from our window. Shared fridge for use by guests. Choice of at least 5 different breads at breakfast.
Cons: We had a large, 4-person room but the en-suite bathroom was basically a cupboard built into the corner, much like you would have in a caravan. The shower was under-powered. Every other hotel on our trip (also in major Swiss towns) provided better value for money.
Pros: Everything was beyond expectations. The room is completely equipped. Even that we had the toilet on the hallway it was like home. Very very clean rooms. Every day the house teenagers team clean the whole area.
Pros: all good. pool. friendly staff.
Located in rural surroundings in Praz on the shore of Lake Murten, Hôtel Restaurant Cave Bel-Air offers a private beach, a garden and rooms with a balcony and beautiful views of the lake. Free WiFi is available in most rooms. Each room also comes with a flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Hôtel Restaurant Cave Bel-Air has a bar, a shared lounge, a games room and a children's playground. Guests can enjoy billiard and table tennis. Massages can be arranged on request. The Praz-Vully Bus Stop is 100 metres from the house.
Pros: Good diner (but costly).
Cons: Avoid room 24. It is on the lake side, but at less than 1m from the window, there is a wall of 1.5 to 1.7m high blocking the sight and you don't have a terras like the other lake side rooms. Only if you stand up you can see a glimpse of the lake. I confronted the personnel with this when I went to pay, stating that room 24 should not be priced as high as the other lake side rooms. They acknowledged there was a 'problem' with that room but I still had to pay the full 'lake side' rate. Breakfast was really basic.
Pros: Lovely lakeside hotel with great restaurant and food. Really enjoyed the wine from their own vineyards. Only an average breakfast though and out of date yogurt, quickly resolved when pointed out.
Pros: Wonderful terrace for dining and relaxing al fresco lakeside. Some rooms have great balconies with lake view
Cons: Very poor breakfast, at least on the weekly closure day (Wednesday)
Pros: Most of all we liked view from window- big lake, little ships...
Pros: The hotel location is second to none on the lakeside. Very close to the pier of the boats on the lake. The food was excellent as was the wine
Cons: The bedroom was very small and hot but they did provide us with a fan which helped.

Pros: Kindly take care...
Cons: Nothing..eberything ist wonderful..
Pros: The location . IT was a kind of Bed and Breakfast on top of a restaurant ! The staf was very Friendly and the food was excellent ! Hope to visit them next year !
Cons: We did not have television, but that was oké.
Pros: Rooms above a restaurant in a cute small village. Our family of 4 had two very large rooms next to each other with the floor to ourselves. It was very hot during our stay, we had to leave the windows open, and even though the restaurant is directly downstairs and has outdoor seating with noisy patrons, for some reason (maybe we were so tired), we weren’t disturbed. Breakfast was simple, adequate, yum and more than sufficient for our needs. The waiter (we did not get this name but he was originally from Montenegro) was amazing, he took such good care of us even carrying our heavy suitcases upstairs to our rooms. Hotel is steps from the lake where swimming is possible and where there is a ferry service.
Pros: Great location, fabulous views, friendly staff, great outside bar.
Cons: Nothing iit was good.
With a stay at bed&breakfast Erlach in Erlach, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Lake Biel and Lake Bienne. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The studio we stayed in was really comfortable, well equipped and had lovely views. Breakfast brought to our door was also a delightful bonus.
Pros: Everything about the small village was wonderful. If you are looking for the Ritz you won’t be happy. The accommodations were humble but our stay was fantastic. The lady served a very nice European breakfast. She spoke very little English but amazingly we were able to communicate. We felt like we had gone back several centuries in time. Ate at the Margarita Restaurant and had a delightful young waitress who made our meal even more enjoyable. Shopped at the local cheese store, butcher shop and bakery. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an adventure. If you need the Marriott don’t stay here.
Pros: The hosts were wonderful...friendly and helpful. Our studio was perfect! It allowed us to cook for ourselves and save money. The area was quiet and peaceful. The town was lovely and historic. It is an easy walk to the Bielersee, which was a great place to swim and relax. Of all the places we stayed on our 3 week trip, this was our favorite. We would like to go back and spend more time there.
Cons: We liked everything!
Pros: The size of the room, the apparent friendliness of staff, the gorgeous breakfast in the morning. The house need restoration quite soon and does not correspond anymore to the picture shown in booking.com.
Cons: The difficult public transportation (I dared not to rent s car but it was a mistake), the fact that I requested not to withdraw 24% from my personal credit card as a deposit fee, since I was on a business trip, but they withdrew it twice; the fact that I asked to stay one more night but they said that it was occupied: anyhow I tried again via booking.com and I got the room (?); the fact that I received a mail announcing that for that second day there would be no 24% deposit withdrawal, whilst this was done immediately ; the fact that they seem not to speak English nor French (but they write google-translated mails in English)....Question: why these properties are kept within booking.com network?
Pros: This bed and breakfast is a hidden gem. The owners are extremely nice and caring, and the service is exceptional. There's a beautiful large garden with free range hens and ducks. A lovely breakfast was served at our room every morning. The surroundings are lovely and the rooms are super cozy. Highly recommended!
Pros: Very friendly and kind hosts, excellent location, quiet place. The belonging cosy garden with its many beautiful corners is enjoyable at any time of the day. Guests can also buy handmade pottery in the store, which is the part of the main house.
Pros: The owners took the extra time to write us a message attached to the door as they weren't home, we felt really welcomed and free to move around the place. Great visit!
Pros: The room was really clean and spacious. Also very cute decorated
Pros: Braakfast, really gorgeous
Cons: Deposit of 24% retained in spite of the fact I asked to pay cash (in order not to use my personal credit card), they said the room was not available firbtgevday after, but indeed I reserved on your site another room in thevsame property, not English speakers (writers yes, with Google Translate), place badly deserved by public transportation , TV set working when it wanted....
Cons: The kitchen/dining space has been painted with agressive green colours, which impacts negatively on the enjoyment. It all looks not quite cared for, even though it is quite spacious. Mosquito nets in the windows would be useful.
When you stay at Fontana in Twann, you'll be on a lake, you'll be a 4-minute drive from Twannbachschlucht. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Love the combination of classic and the modern character. The host Cirillo Fontana is so kind, nice and attentive. He allow us to check in 2 hours ealier. Highly recommended!. TQ Cirillo. Easy free private parking.
Pros: Friendly, good breakfast
Pros: Exactly what I expect from a Htl for one or two nights: Easy booking/check-in/check-out, comfortable, silent, very clean! (seems new), spacious and bright room, bathroom with practical design. Friendly and helpful reception. Breakfast ok. Parking
Pros: This is a lovely hotel, good location and nice view from window, next to a train station. The owner is very hospitality, gave us some suggestion for dinner which is very helpful, there are a lot of grape trees on the hill which is next to the hotel, it's a wonderful stay this hotel
Pros: Staff + location
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: No AC and too noisy from the train line when you opened the patio door to get air
Pros: Very efficient and friendly staff, good location, good breakfast
Cons: Bathrooms probably need updating
Pros: Nice hotel, a little dated but perfectly fine, breakfast was good and the staff were excellent. Great location overlooking the lake and a 1 minute walk to the nearest restaurant.
Cons: Maybe needs a slight modernisation.
Pros: Attention from Cyrillo, the owner was second to none. What a nice chap! We basically had the hotel to ourselves for our two night stay. Note that I have not given the 'value for money' a top rating. This is only because everything in Switzerland is expensive. Hotel Fontana is priced to match the local competition. Fantastic views from our balcony. Great rail links. If you are using the train system look up discount advance tickets. We didn't and we paid a more for our train fares!
Looking back upon a long tradition starting in 1525, The Hotel Baeren Twann offers you rooms with views over Lake Biel or the vineyards, gourmet cuisine, free internet and free parking. Traditional French and Swiss dishes combined with ingredients from all over the world are served in the restaurant. For the youngest guests there is a special kids menu. After their meal they may enjoy themselves on the playground or in the playroom. From the terrace and the garden with flowers and fruit trees you have panoramic views of the lake. You can take a walk to the Twannberg, enjoy a cable car ride to Magglingen or a boat ride on the lake. There is also an excellent cycling network all around the lake and to various places up the Jura mountains. During the winter months the ski resorts of Les Près d'Orvin and Nods can be reached in less than a 30-minute drive.
With a stay at Hotel de la Gare in Bas-Vully, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Lake Biel and Lac de Morat. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Room was Ok, clean and as expected.
Cons: Bar, restaurant and main hotel was closed. This wasn't obvious when booking. Basically just a room for the night which was over priced massively.
Pros: Beds were okay and the bathroom nice and modern.
Cons: The owner wasn’t there when we arrived, had to phone him and retrieve the room keys from a box even though we arrived exactly when I said we would. I think when you’re paying this kind of money for a room someone should be there to great you. The shower wasn’t very powerful. We only saw him in the morning when paying for the room. I should have looked at the position more before I booked, nothing really around so went to another town, Murten, to eat supper. They were having a festival so it worked out ok
Pros: This was a stopover on a motorbike trip around Europe, convenient, clean with good restaurant. Host allowed me to park my motorbike in his garage.
Cons: Switzerland is just a bit more expensive than other countries!!
Pros: Location convenient for my scope
Cons: Combination of restaurant, hotel rooms
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: Not a good value for money. There are better options around. Breakfast could be better. My room faced backyard with a lot of clutter - not nice to look at....
Pros: Quiet, despite being near the station, new or newly refurbished room & bathroom, ample parking
Cons: Don't like the sliding door to the bathroom that doesn't really close so lacks privacy
Cons: Not prepared for summer. Too hot. Bedroom 's window not safe.
When you stay at Hotel St. Petersinsel in Erlach, you'll be on a lake, just steps from Lake Biel and 4 minutes by foot from Lake Bienne. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
Pros: We spent a nice weekend here. The staffs are very nett. I did the special requirment of booking a cake, the corperating bakery with the hotel did exactly what I requires. Everthing is pefect, I would like to visit it again in the future.
Pros: The personnel, the location and cleanliness are great.
Cons: Booking was not accurate as I thought I had reserved half board and it was not done that way. The bathroom needs more privacy as it includes the toilet and shower in the same room.
Cons: Room with Yard view. No lake or vineyard view as described.
Pros: Amazing location
Cons: Food could have been better but service was terrific. Our steak was amazing though.
The Hotel Le Cheval Blanc is housed in a historical building situated in the ancient part of Saint Blaise, which is located only 5 km from Neuchâtel. The rooms have bee renovated in contemporary style and feature free wireless internet access. Several possibilities for hiking and a golf course in the vicinity make the Hotel du Cheval Blanc a great place for active holidays. There is a charming contrast between the retro-style rooms and the modern bathrooms. From some of them, you can admire a very beautiful view over Lake Neuchâtel and towards the Jura Mountains. The well-known restaurant of the Hotel du Cheval Blanc offers you refined Swiss and international cuisine.
Cons: One evening when coming back to hotel at 8.30pm all the doors were locked. I had to take a taxi and go to another hotel. Very upsetting. The morning I left I had to leave without breakfast while I had paid for it the night before. The owner decided to sleep in. I tried to call him but no response.
Pros: It is clean. The bed is comfortable. The guy at the reception is kind. Speaks very little English but uses google translate.
Cons: No lift. Narrow spiral staircase. Virtually no amenities. No coffee maker. No mini bar and no phone in the room. WiFi is useless. Connected but cannot download anything, not even email. Can only WhatsApp.
Pros: Room was small but clean and confortable, the manager was pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was barely adequate. Bread and croissants were stale and bananas were almost black.
Cons: The list is endless , no reception not hotel signs , in need of a complete refurb
Cons: A very run down, grotty hotel! May have been a grand building in its day but is now very neglected and not at all well presented. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels in about 30 countries and generally aren’t very fussy but this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in !!! Room was tiny and facilities very basic. Room felt unpleasant. Would not recommend to anyone!
Pros: Nice patio to gather with friends after a long day of cycling. Easy check in and out.
Pros: The room was basic and perfectly acceptable for one night. The bathroom we very big and seems newly fitted. The beds and bedding was very comfortable. Breakfast was somewhat limited but enjoyable nonetheless.
Pros: The bathroom and the fact that there was a bathtub. The room was quite spacious.
Cons: The heating was quite ineffective and the mattresses would always separate during the night, which made it difficult and uncomfortable to sleep.
Pros: Room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was OK.
Cons: The whole hotel smelled like the kitchen. Difficult to park (only 3 places). Not tidy. Place had seen better times.
Cons: the impossibility to sleep with church clock chimes every 15 mins throughout the night. Had to leave after one terrible night although we had to pay for the two we had booked.
