the large room given to us with modern balcony. (at a supplement) good pub food and friendly village atmosphere. Food and drink at reasonable prices. what an improvement if the manageress would smile and acknowledge your presence now and then. If not up early then the breakfast is greatly reduced as it is on a first come first serve basis. when its gone its gone.
Very friendly and helpful staff, renovated rooms are excellent, good value for money, rooms bigger than average in this class and comfortable, location good for a visit to Bonn but luckily a bit outside town, quiet village, WLAN available, really satisfactory breakfast no shampoo available in room
The nature outside There was no bath. I asked for one king size bed. It was not available
I visited on a Sunday night in January and there must have been only another three or four guests. In the summer this would be a lovely location for a family trip or for a mature couple. Everything was very efficient although most of the staff seeme dto have a cold!
Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived much later than intended but the hotel were still prepared to serve us a lovely meal.
frendly personal no
The room was clean and tidy with a view over the river. The food was exactly as expected and the staff were friendly and obliging. None
efficient, easy to find, no telephone in room and located on highway, literally, which made it difficult to pull out of because parking was limited. Key locks disallowed entry from outside which wasn't great with kids in room across hall.
Owner very helpful when we had to get urgent repair to our car. Room very noisy indeed, could hardly sleep.
cleanliness and friendly staff no
Welcoming and comfortable.
The room was excellent overlooking the river, the food was good too and the place was not expensive. Nothing
1-St and main is all hotel's staff.2-nd hot food.3-rd Location and region of location,
This is a tourist area but from the lack of written and limited spoken English the brits have yet to discover the region. This might put some people off but we seasoned travellers with ten words of german and a small German phrase book were able to cope very well.I thought the location wonderfull, the hotel charming, the staff friendly and the food very good. And there is good red wine in Germany! Ask for the Dornfelder. We will be back sometime. For some reaso Bob Dylan's song about the lonesome death of Hattie Carol kept running through my mind!
Room too small too expensive
Very good breakfast
A modern hotel bordering the forests. Friendly staff and efficient service. Free wi-fi and in-house video. Breakfast included. Excellent value for the money. Slightly difficult to reach without a private car. Room a little small.
Very clean and airy hotel. Calm environment. Very quiet setting with beautiful woodland.
Good location for discover this area. Excellent breakfast. Easy to get there only with GPS.
Comfortable bed, goo breakfast, beautiful location, nice staff.
Very good situation with a beautiful view on Rhein There was no wi-fi in the hotel
hotel was located next to the rhine river we were upgraded to a larger room with a window over the river which was nice we wanted to take a boat tour but boats leave that town only rarely
Excellent location, excellent location of rooms with to the river , view to the chateau Cold ambiance of main lobby and lounge, sublime terrace along the river
The location of the hotel was very scenic, situated in a wonderful little tow and the staff were very helpful and friendly
we could not get an evening meal in the hotel because we had not booked but we were never informed we had to book for this facility.
When we arrived they did not have our booking, any way they give us a room.
Nice hotel in pretty German town. Beautiful terrace overlooking the Rhine. Comfortable rooms. There was a wedding, which occupied almost the entire hotel. We could not use the terrace. It was not possible to have dinner in the hotel, which had not been told at check-in. The next morning, we were not allowed to have breakfast in the nice restaurant. Instead, we had to move to a cramped room together with the wedding-guests.
This is a super hotel in very charming village and beautiful part of Germany. We were very impressed by the decor, all extremely well designed, the colours perfectly matching and the finish was increadible. We travelled around the world for many years but have never before seen a hotel where everything was so perfect and yet so pleasing and homely at the same time. Very impressive indeed and much recommended.
It is a lovely situation and the village is really great. Nice for walks along the Rhine. There is a really awesome, family run restaurant n th village where they serve their local wines and cheese and sausage platters. We ate there both nights we were in Unkel. When we checked in the receptionist was not very friendly. Also, when you book, you have to pay in advance and it is not refundable should you have to cancel for any reason.
Very friendly and helpful staff, comfort and quietness of room, location in old centre of Unkel overlooking the Rhine
Good breakfast Problem getting to the hotel by car through Unkel
a pleasant and wonderful atmosphere. everything was fine.
Location was excellent and great variety for breakfast.
easy parking, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice quit room, easy access to nature but also to highway
Excellent quality of room.
Good welcome; comfortable and very clean room. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good. Airco quiet. Wonderful location and views. Hotel follows the landscape and is unobtrusive and well thought-out (even though you have to get used to the layout).
Very plush and comfortable Staff were disinterested to learn that one of my party (my brother-in-law) had recently died and wouldn't be joining us. Their response: "You can't have a refund"! Also, we found it impossible to reserve a table for our evening meal. We tried for three nights and couldn't succeed.
friendley staff and fantastic food
All excellent. Staff all very friendly and did their very best to understand our requirements (in English) and do what they can. Bar Man very good and service excellent. Nice touches with the baby (wont spoil the surprises!!)
The location was such as to be able to walk into the town without any problem but not too close to any noisy distractions or busy areas. A great mix of Restaurants are within easy walking distance if you don't eat at the Hotel. The staff are excellently well presented and very helpful, the breakfast is good and leisure facilities are ready on site straight away. The secure undercover parking is also a very welcome asset.
Everything was perfect. Very friendly staff; Excellent accommodation.Fantastic location in the middle of the old city. Breakfast buffet with a lot of delicious foo.
1/ The proprietor: he was attentive and thoroughly helpful. 2/ Bathroom: recently re-furb'd - much appreciated. 3/ Breakfast: comprehensive selection, and very well presented indeed. We could not fault this hotel
The hotel staff was very friendly. Nothing
A breakfast with all you may want. No elevator in a tree floors building, stairs at the entrance, not wheelchair friendly, and a very very hard mattress, and the room was not soundproof from the inside, voices in the hall at two o clock in the night, and doors slamming.
Room 12...excellent..spacious, big bathroom..not on the main road
I found the hotel to be clean and tidy and the staff were polite and friendly. There was nothing to dislike about the whole experience
Extremely Clean Hotel, Friendly staff, great breakfast, good location for those arriving by train.
The hotel is facing the Train Station.
closeness to the station, its simplicity, its a small cozy hotel can't remember anything now
Small hotel in the middle of Ahr River wine area.
Hotel was clean and charmingly decorated. Bathroom was large and included a whirlpool bath as well as a shower, and heated floors! The bathroom in the room was down a steep spiral staircase, which was hard on our senior knees, and middle of the night trips to the toilet.
frthe location is very good, the hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly no
Helpful tips regarding viewing of the Rhine in Flames event.
Right around the corner from the downtown area. Easy to find location. Easy to find good restaurants in area. Good breakfast. Quiet location, just one block from Rhine.
This hotel offered a really warm welcome it had an excellent restaurant serving wholesome German food good car parking and in an excellent position for the centre and the Rhine the room was top quality. It did not have any
Friendly, efficient staff. Clean rooms. Good location for local facilities. Limited parking.
Very friendly staff; good restaurant as part of the hotel; in a good location. Positively recommended.
Friendly, efficient staff. Clean rooms. Good location for local facilities. The lady owner was very helpful . The location so near to the river was an added bonus.
Pleasant town and free parking Hotel shut when we arrived at 2100 although we had warned of late arrival. Managed to find owner in restaurant at back. Room ok but breakfast poor and although we were not the last down most things had run out.
The lady owner was very helpful and was able to speak English very well. The location so near to the river was an added bonus.
Dinner of the restaurant was good Internet was broken and not available, which cause lots of problems, besides the credit card reader was also broken and I had to pay in cash, they should tell us in advance, I booked water bed but it was not.
Warm welcome, excellent food for breakfasts and dinners. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Located near to a Roman Baths and close to Koblenz and Koln by rail. It was all brilliant
Excellent service, good breakfast, plenty of parking, proximity to the centre of the town and river. The hotel web site indicated a vibrant nightlife in the town and was one of the reasons we chose to stay there. However, whilst there was a full street of bars they all remained closed over the weekend - on checking out of the hotel was told they only open for around 10 weekends a year. Still a good selection of local bars and restaurants but very quiet.
Staff friendly and very helpful. Quiet location - mid week Sept
Very central to the town and within easy reach of most facilities, comfortable rooms, although a bit noisy from the trains The breakfasts were not too imaginative and some of the cold cuts looked quite curly and dry, as they were out for the 2 days we were there
Reception staff spoke good english and were very helpful. None
Good location in Bad Honningen town centre and close to Rhine. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Good parking. Quiet. Nothing.
The hotel is located on the promonade and has it's own car park. The owner was very helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay. No
The kindness of the family Reuter and their staff
Location close to Rhine very good. Breakfast good. Hotel is a bit old fashioned some areas like the dining room look rather dated
The Hotel Zur Mühle is located beside the Rhine River in Bad Briesig, 30km south of Bonn. It was a very peaceful place to stay with friendly staff. Our room was very clean and confortable. The hotel has a well-kept garden, including a very pleasant terrace just beside the river.
Fraindly Helpfull Staff
Location...The hotel is right on the river. Very nice. Nothing. We had avery nice stay.
The owner and his wife were lovely. Informative about area, kind and happy to please. Would prefer to have new individual liquid soaps etc not large bottles that have been in use.
the aparthotel has a fine bathroom. It is clean and much space. No
The owner has something to teach all of the hotel proprietaires I have ever met about hospitality. He went out of his way to ensure that I had everything I needed and took advantage of his beloved region (which is beautiful). I liked the sort of honor system for drinks outside of hotel hours and his efforts to find what I like to eat. A little far from Bonn for business travel but worth the stay to get out of city hustle and bustle.
The staff were very friendly, the room clean and the breakfast generous. The hotel was situated just 200 yards from the centre of town but in a quiet location. In terms of decoration, the combination of old and modern didn't quite work.
Very nice couple runs this hotel. They were especially helpful to an english speaker who didn't know much german and explained how the nearby thermal bathes work and offered a jacket for my stay in case I got cold. There is also storage for bikes if you are on tour. The restaurant around the corner is also especially good.
Helpful staff and a good location with clean and well furnished rooms. Nothing to complain about.
Guy from bar should talk a little less loud and stop selling wine during breakfast
Excellent staff, condition of room, view. Cannot fault!
The host was most gracious and helpful The hotel clean and very quite. The old wall city was beautiful to visit as were the hillside vineyards. (one of the few places in Germany to grow red wine grapes). The breakfast was tasty and filling. I was there for the German Grand Prix race at Nurburgring some 30 minute drive.
The owner, Iris and her family were fantastic and breakfast terrific! So welcoming.
Very friendly family run b and b,room a little basic but well located hotel.Internet not available in our room but accessible downstairs and we were to lucky get a parking space outside as only a few spaces.located right by one if the four medieval tower entrances to the lovely old town. No lift available and b and b located over three floors.
Manager spoke excellent English and was very helpful. My room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the old, walled town. Breakfast was a high quality buffet.
The hotel staff were wonderful and most helpfull. They went above and beyond what we expected. A kettle in the room would have been a welcom addition
Its excellent location just outside old city walls of Ahrweiler, with easy walking access to bars/restaurants/cafes/shops; its proximity to the Red Wine Walking Trail and other beautiful walks; above all its comfort, cleanliness, and very friendly and helpful welcome. Can't think of anything at all that we didn't like.
Staff were friendly and helpful, also spoke English. Hotel was near the lovely walled city/village area which was also covenient for dining out. Breakfast was lovely. Blinds instead of curtains for bedroom didn't keep out enough light. But this was not a severe critcism.
Great staff and good breakfast. About 30 minutes from the Ring and a nice drive.
A very nice feel to the hotel, highly recomended
Nothing other than the breakfast was adequate. Very poor reception. Could do with some training on customer care. The hotel was ugly and neglected. Very outdated and not of the standard or value of other Booking.com hotels I have stayed in on all my trips to Germany. Advice to all avoid this place!
The Hotel advertises free internet but is only available in the restaurant. The overview indicates the hotel has a restaurant but fails to tell you that it's not open every night.
The very friendly staff and excellent location of hotel The breakfast was to expensive
Restaurant very good with excellent service. Room was rather small with a poor layout. It was however clean and comfortable
Friendly, helpfull,and Clean
There were only 2 twin rooms, the other 2 were doubles, and people had to share beds - not good
peace & quiet no information in English & limited breakfast range
Friendly staff. Very comforable beds. Room was a little on the small side and traffic was only a matter of a few feet from the window.
Location of the hotel is great. There is plenty of room for everyone. Bar is very cosy. Egg waiter only there on the weekends although you could still ask for eggs cooked any way you wished.
Viosited Koln & Linz ,bought wine and visited Spa This was not an Hotel but a Pension/Gasthaus where Breakfast would normally be included- no restaurant nor bar facilities.Stayed in Weingut on Mosel with better facilities, breakfast included at half the price!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location, along the Rhine and near the city pedestrian area, was also good.
Owner very friendly and accomodating, cleanliness excellant, location near to centre of town with restuarants and shops but alos by the river Rhine. was in a road full of pubs and nightclubs although these did not cause a problem as non were open during our stay.
I stayed at this hotel during the recent Volcano created crisis with European air travel. I found the staff excellent, especially going to special effort to resolve a problem with the internet connection. The Lsndlady was very friendly and cooperative, and made me feel very welcome during my short stay. Breakfast was excellent. The people of the village were very friendly to me (a traveller far from home and stranded in Germany during the airport Volcano shutdown). The nearby spa (therme) is excellent. Overall, I found every aspect of my visit to be very rewarding and would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends. Whenever I am in this part of Germany again, I will certainly stay here.
relax. excellent staff. no.
Staff was friendly. Dingy 1950s Eastern European atmosphere; not a hotel at all but a pension. Besides breakfast there were no facilities available, no drinks or snacks even. The main hotel was not in the big building but in a small house. The big yellow house has a few rooms that are part of the hotel. No garden to sit in. There is no view of the Rhine at Rheinblick.
Very neat and comfortable room.Very friendly and helpfull receptionist. We had to take an early train the next morning, and she specially made us an early breakfast. Highly recommended Maybe it would be difficult for people who don't understand and speak German. It didn't bother us, because we understand and speak a little german
Good welcome very clean balcony to sit on a night super breakfasts near train station easy access to Rheinsteig walks which we went there for handy for local town Bad Honingen restaurants and shops very reasonable price
