10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness and hospitality of the owners and the impressive facility plus the excellent location and sumptuous breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our breakfast was excellent, even having eggs from their own chickens!
Cons: The selection of restaurants in the main square. Having walked all around the square we settled on an Italian, which was ok but not brilliant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: THE best thing about Ropieur is the hosts. Jacque and Yolande were delightful; Jacque gave us a very warm welcome and then in the morning he and Yolande joined us for breakfast. The breakfast was superb! Yolande makes her own waffles and also makes superb omelettes to your specification. The room was spotless and well maintained with a homely feel to it. It is obvious that Jacque and Yolande do this for the fun of meeting people and not for profit.
Cons: The only thing I can think of to help others is to say be aware of the stairs you have to climb to the lounge/breakfast area and then again to the bedroom. No real problem, just domestic stairs but worth noting if you have mobility difficulty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly couple, superb breakfast, very close to the centrum, cheap private parking.
Cons: The room was no air conditioning but the fan cooled the room perfectly at around 25 outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice small private run B&B with a very friendly host. The facilities of the room are great. Payment was no issue, as we already knew that payment in cash. The breakfast was very super, with homemade jams and omelette from the own chicken eggs. Location is very central. Private parking fee is reasonable (5€/day)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jacques and Jolander made us feel very welcome and at home.Nothing too much trouble. We look forward to another visit sometime in the future
Cons: Nothing....couldn't have been better.Lovely

Pros: The staff was the best
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Second time e stayed there. Great experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Martine excellent host, room wonderful, breakfast very good and everything dog friendly.
Cons: Nothing although it would be good if the chateau serves evening meals.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Side jets in shower! Beautiful gardens were in bloom. Antique furnishings, art and decorating were very appropriate for castle like architecture of the building.
Cons: We miss having a top sheet on the bed, but it is apparently not the norm in Europe. It is practical to us because if the room is not to cold the sheet gives you a light covering so you do not get too hot during the night. Sorry to ramble.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful small chateau in quiet surroundings, excellent breakfast (more like a brunch). Mme Martine is a kind and genuinely caring host who will make you instantly feel at home. Best for travelers with a car who value quietness and greenery over easy access to public transport.

Pros: Lovely property, very friendly and helpful couple who run it.
Cons: Literally the only downside to the property is that the walk into the city centre is a little bit long. That's it.

Pros: Excellent breakfast. Excellent location. Spacious and comfortable bathroom. Friendly hosts.
Cons: We just missed the 'doudou' festival ;)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners spoke excellent English and were warm, friendly and inviting. Breakfast was very good. The room allocated was large, comfortable and full of character. I would use this B&B again in any future business trip to Mons.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1. The owners are great, always smiling, full of energy and they make you feel very welcome. 2. The location is perfect: close to the train station and very close to the centre of Mons, in a very quiet area, on a narrow cobbled street. 3. The house is absolutely marvellous. The decor is vintage and elegant. The bathroom is astonishing, really stylish and special. The bed is comfortable, equipped with clean, high quality linen. 4. The place is crystal clean. 5. The breakfast was one of the best because it had lots of options, all of which were of extremely high quality (jams, cheese, cake, chocolate, butter, milk, yogurt, cereals, different types of bread, honey, coffee, orange and lemon juice, fruits). Thank you for making our stay in Mons one we will never forget. ❤
Cons: Everything was just perfect!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a surprisingly good experience. Most of Mons' hotels were booked. I have found Table et chambre particulière available and i booked it. Have never regret it. Wonderful hosts: Julian and his wife are very polite and helpful. I was offered a welcome espresso shot. Kudos for decoration! It reminded me of home decor magazines. Hosts have invested a lot in decoration which makes the place even more warm and cozy. Everything was brand new and stylish. Wonderful bed sheets and very comfortable bed. Many amendments, Nespresso coffee machine in the room along with boiler for making a tea. Iron board set for ironing your clothes. And finally a spacious terrace to chill in case the weather permits. Nothing negative to mention. Highly recommended and will definitely book it again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful accommodation the owners were lovely, friendly and very accommodating.
Cons: The accommodation was stunning bit far out of town but fine if you have a car. Not enough tea and coffee in room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was beautiful. I loved the wallpaper. Really good WiFi speed. Great ensuite bathroom. Nice Amenities. Comfortable bed. Lovely couple who own the home. Peaceful neighborhood.
Cons: We felt a little like we were intruding on the family privacy. We were told we could use common spaces but frequently there are barriers set up to prevent use of the patio. The small window in a corner of the room provided very little natural light. When we opened the window in the evening for fresh air mosquitoes inundated the room. Location is not within convenient walking distance to central areas. Rooms are not sound roof as the guests next to us were loud. I also had to stop someone from coming into my room when I heard a key inserted in the door on the morning of our first stay. No one knocked to check if the room was vacant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic accommodation, very clean, very contemporary, a really great place to stay - would definitely recommend this place to all - Gillian and Stephanie were excellent hosts - love their dogs too
Cons: Nothing - it was brilliant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at Ferme de la Blanche Fontaine. Ingrid was very welcoming and gave me nice sightseeing and restaurant tips that enabled me to experience Mons as a real local! The city of Mons is really close by, only 10 - 15 minutes by car. Ton also gave me an interesting tour on the farm and even allowed me to feed a little calve which was really fun. The room was clean and spacious (with a king-size bed!) and was even equipped with a little kitchen. I would definitely recommend!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating hostess.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely couple, Martine and Pascal couldn't do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A lovely room with tea, coffee and chocolates and a beautiful bathroom/shower. We decided to visit the nearby town in the evening and they had even taken the trouble to produce a map showing how to get there and the best places to park. Breakfast was a real treat with a fresh fruit salad, eggs from their own chickens, homemade marmalade and cake. A lovely welcome ... we will definitely go again!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere individualistic & interesting. Staff delightful & hard-working
Cons: Double beds against the wall is not the best idea, but, of course it's fine for a single occupancy. Other than that, what's not to like?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything! The staff was marvelous and most accommodating, including ordering a delivered pizza when we were too tired to go out.
Cons: The restaurant options were very high priced and pricing for ordered meals was confusing at best. We have no doubt the food was good, but the price for breakfast was not in keeping with the overall pricing for the room. Aside from that, we highly recommend this hotel. One of the best of our 60 day journey in Europe
9.6 Excellent
Cons: The room deposit was almost as much as the nights stay and can take upto 3 weeks to refund I was told. There should have been an option to pay the difference on checkout instead of paying double until refunded.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, so much to choose from. Friendly staff. The only thing it is missing is a pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, very helpful, super nice
Cons: That I had to leave...
7.0 Good
Pros: The property and location was great plus the rooms were neat. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms had a funny odor left behind by the maids and there was no air conditioning but you can easily keep cool with an open window.

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. This hotel has 9 meeting rooms available for events. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything. Good spacious and clean room, nice (firm) bed, make-up mirror (a definite plus), good shower (a little more pressure on the water would be good though). Nice touch with small greating from house-keeping. Sufficient table space for working. Good restaurant with good choice in the evening (and the possibility to sit outside when weather permits). Ample choice of breakfast with eggs cooked to order.
Cons: Only thing I missed was ironing board/iron in the room, but managed without.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Not a bad location, you walk across the rail bridge and you are in town in 10 mins and if you are going to the conference centre or just staying a night and intend to eat in the hotel restaurant it is really good. Good free parking and big comfy rooms. Buzzy restaurant but no good if you are veggie.
Cons: A vegetarian choice would have been very welcome indeed as we ended up having to eat elsewhere, when we'd have preferred the restaurant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Efficiency, cleanliness and welcome by the staff
Cons: Mons Station is being refurbished and there is temporary footpaths and bridges to the town centre.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very welcoming reception and a very generously sized and well appointed room. The temperature control and the air quality are superb.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good restaurant, excellent service.
Cons: Hotel is making deposit on credit card, then upon checkout they do not bother to release it (convert to payment) - instead they charge second time and then you waiting few days to original deposit to expire. Also, when I am booking with free cancellation and payment at checking, why you charging my card 2 weeks in advance?!
Apart - Hotel Saint Georges - Mons - Building

8.9 Excellent (710 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Apart - Hotel Saint Georges places you in the heart of Mons, within a 5-minute walk of Museum Mons Doudou and Mayeur Garden. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good facilities and spacious room. Great staff and very good breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is beautifully presented and pristine. All your needs are catered for including coffees and chocolate treats in the fridge, table laid for breakfast, dog bowl in room, washing up liquid by sink. Little things that make a difference. Host gave us a very warm welcome and covered all the details of our stay very quickly and professionally. (I’d misread the details of our booking as hadn’t appreciated we didn’t have direct access to the garden as we were upstairs but am sure if I’d have contacted the team, something could have been sorted so make sure you contact the hotel if you have any specific requests.) Outside garden was a great space for us on a sunny Autumn evening but also allowed our dog to run around after a long drive. On street parking was free for us as we arrived just before 6pm and left before 9am. Great location, only a short, 10 minute walk up to the main square with a great variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy. Ours was only a quick stopover so sadly weren’t able to make full use all this gem of a property has to offer, but certainly hope to return to the lovely town of Mons so definitely know where we’d stay!!
Cons: The score would probably have been a 10 but for (1) we would’ve preferred a larger bed with less hard mattress - personal tase I know (2) a small microwave would have been useful for quick milk heat up (3) there was no lift - not a problem for us even though we were in the attic but just to highlight this for others - request lower floor room if you think you might struggle You can’t please everyone but the St George comes pretty close I reckon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel St. Georges is the best hotel you can stay in Mons. Very clean & the Manager is very helpful and accomodating.
Cons: 10/10 for cleanliness
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a good breakfast for 12 Euros each served in the apartment the apartment was big and nice. Very cauzy. The location very good , close to the city center.
Cons: A little bit cheaper could have been perfect.

Cons: More than familiar, too much family

Cons: Leaves the impression everything has been put together in a hurry, walls are thin as if from carton, breakfast was a bit of a joke.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with home grown strawberries and honey from the owners' bees.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property with lots of original details. Peaceful and quiet.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The town of Walcourt is wonderful. Really nice location of the B&B: close to the cathedral. The host was nice and helpful. The room was clean and quite spacious for two. Good wifi connection.
Cons: Some hot meals (e.g. omelette, sausages) could be added to the breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place right next to the beautiful basilic! The hostess was wonderful, and her breakfast - simply amazing. The room under the roof was very authentic, but modern, nice and comfy. Enjoyed my stay there!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, copious breakfast, easy parking, good WiFi. Next to the cathedral.
Cons: It was all good - even met some interesting people staying there for the night.
7.9 Good
Pros: Eggs prepared on request. Good coffee and hot chocolate. Friendly staff. Room was cooled before we entered
Cons: Lighting in bathroom could be better. Towels not so soft. Next to church (bells)
Mons Dragon House - Mons - Bathroom
15
8.9 Excellent (192 reviews)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great reception by owners, very friendly. Very clean, Nd new-looking room.
Cons: Shower might be easier than a bathtub.
7.9 Good
Pros: We arrived early and when I contacted Mathias he quickly arranged for someone to check us in. He responded very quickly to any of our queries and advised us of the best place to park. This is a traditional townhouse that has been refurbished in a contemporary style. We had the DouDou room which was spacious, bright, very clean, plenty of storage space, with a beautiful bathroom. We had full access to the kitchen and a sitting room.
Cons: The safest parking was a short walk but it was not free as suggested in the information. In the evening, there was a lot of noise from people coming and going in the street below and the local entertainment further up the street.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent location as really close to the Grand Place. Quirky house with kitchen and living room for guests use. We had the ground floor room with free standing bath in the large bedroom, which made a nice change. Bed and pillows very comfortable. No breakfast provided but there is a nice artisanal bakery just a couple of minutes walk away and tea and coffee are in the kitchen.
Cons: We were on the ground floor which was quite noisy during the night with the window open. No private parking available so you need to feed the meters in the street.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A house with bags of character. Very well located. Parking outside free from evening up to 9am. Good kitchen facilities so ideal for self catering. Good coffee machine and large fridge. Very good communication from owner.
Cons: Attic Room upstairs is not in same price bracket as below rooms by a long chalk on wow factor. So felt it should be at a better discount. Lower rooms are spectacularly furnished. Top room is noisey if windows open at night so keep them closed.
Le Relais De La Haute Sambre - Lobbes - Beach
16
8.8 Excellent (561 reviews)

Free WiFi is available throughout the property. All rooms are spacious and have a private bathroom with a bath and free internet access. Guests can choose to enjoy a buffet breakfast if they wish. The restaurant, which has a social purpose, employing vulnerable people, is located 20 meters from the property and serves traditional French cuisine. The Ravel is only 2 km from the property. The woods of Lobbes Thuin are less than a 5-minute walk away and provide a peaceful setting for hiking.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Well basically everything. It was he only accommodation that showed up in booking.com for the area and I hadn’t checked the details, so it was basically a pleasant surprise. This was possibly the largest hotel room I’ve been in, and I slept like a log. Breakfast was also superb, staff ditto. Highly recommended for everyone.
Cons: The only thing that I can think of doesn’t apply to the hotel, but that most roads that we had to take to get there are a bit awkward to ride a bicycle on: no bike lanes, and an inexplicably large number of cars driving around on them, at least for such a non-urban environment. It seems to be like that in much of Wallonia, I have no idea why.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are large and warm. The WiFi is ok and there is tea and coffee available in reception. Dogs are welcome but the price is €10 per night... more than we paid in the whole of Europe.
Cons: While the complex is good for a stopover, I couldn’t get over the smell in the corridor or in our room. It was the same smell as a care home so not comfortable when you’ve visited elderly relatives in such places.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely friendly staff - helped me find my mislaid phone. Gorgeous large comfortable room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. The restaurant next door isn't bad either, also v friendly.
Cons: Nothing. It was fabulous.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location in the middle of the woods, but not so far from the village center and towns quite near (Binche/Charleroi). The fact that each room is on the ground floor is very nice for people with reduced mobility.
Cons: I had spider webs in the bathtub, with of course its nice owner in it, but fair enough, it's the countryside. The soap "pump" was empty and was not refilled before I left.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly host
Cons: Not easy to find entrance during night arrival
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Needed a quiet, easy place to stay whilst we competed in a round of the Flanders International Rally Championship. This hotel is some distance away from the rally, but me the criteria of being comfortable, cost effective and easy to deal with. The staff are not particularly good with English, but we managed OK.
Cons: Nothing do with the hotel particularly. I should have tried to pay when we arrived. Reception opens at 7:30am and we wanted to leave much earlier. One to consider if you want to get an early ferry!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet surroundings, large rooms, Super Breakfast with Good Coffee, Lovely Yoghurt and personal made egg. Restaurant and Supermarket near by, forest around the corner, and a wondefull host !
Cons: /
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Very Friendly staff with personal touch(they even make you an egg in the morning for breakfast). Bikes available for cycling in the green area.
7.5 Good
Pros: Liked the quiet countryside location
Cons: Building was very dated
Overview Reviews
A stay at Auberge de Jeunesse de Mons - Hostel places you in the heart of Mons, steps from Belfry of Mons and 3 minutes by foot from Hotel de Ville. Featured amenities include a computer station, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location and rooms quiet; staff very helpful. Breakfast simple but effective. Typical Hostel with self-service, but knew that when booking.
Cons: Sadly, no parking, but reasonable easy street parking. No Towels, so pack accordingly!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Great location, right underneath Mons Belfry and near the main square. The new and well preserved facilities are very comfortable. Amazing value.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Basic but decent breakfast
Cons: We booked a private room not a shared dorm and I feel that towels should have been provide for free. We had to take sheets to make our own bed. Quality of mattress needs to be better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The auberge is located right in the middle of town, less than a minute's walk from the Grand Place - perfect. The facilities are superb for a youth hostel, with private rooms (4 beds per room) each with their own loo and shower. Everything was clean, the bedding was a little threadbare but useable. The breakfast was generous and varied, and the bar area was delightful with lots of interesting games to play as well as a small outdoor area to sit and soak up the evening air. The free underground parking was a happy surprise as we had no idea where to leave our car.
Cons: The price reflects the excellent facilities, so although for us as a family it was an ideal stopping point, I would imagine that backpackers might be put off by the price tag. It cost a similar amount to a hotel room, but with much more basic facilities. The bedding was very basic and self service. I would have liked there to have been an option for more air movement in the room, it was stifling in warm weather with only one window that was limited (for safety) to only opening a crack.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - Decent breakfast - Very sturdy bunk beds and don't shake when your bunk mate moves around - Room clean, comfortable - Separate toilet and shower - Great location - Good common area with bar, games and books. - Views of the belfry
Cons: - Wifi not great in the Dorm 101, and cuts out intermittently in the common areas - No duvet cover for the blanket and plastic covers for the mattress which makes me hot - Only two lockers (for a 4 bed dorm)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and secure parking
Cons: Nothing considering price and location

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Cons: Key card works only for one day - needs to be recoded every day in the reception! Dark rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I sincerely salute the vision of the owner! Perfection at it's best!
6.7 Good
Pros: Location good, staff friendly.
Cons: On check in there was a man passed out in the lift drunk. Police had to be called to remove him. The hotel reception dealt with matter efficiently ently but not what you expect from 4 star hotel on check in. The price of the hotel was quite expensive for the experience and really should have breakfast included in the price. Breakfast not included in price - an extra 18 EURO is a bit much. Parking cost of 15 euro a day. Don't think this should be included as car park on grounds of hotel. No room service after 22.00
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely mini weekend break, luxorious room, nice spa facilities. I would stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Will come again
Cons: Everything great
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in the centre of the city. There is a good selection for breakfast and it is replenished frequently. Unique location in an old monastery!
Cons: No air conditioning for this stay, and it was warm, but the staff provided us a fan and it was much better!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and beautiful building!
Cons: No bar or brasserie available and all nearby restaurants were closed Monday and Tuesday evenings.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Had to call the owner to come to the hotel to open up. The bedroom was up two floors via a narrow staircase - poor access. The room was very small / cramped with the shower and toilet in the sleeping area with just a curtain around both of them, - no privacy what-so-ever. The hotel restaurant was closed other than for breakfast which was nothing special.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was different and bespoke
Cons: Nothing to dislike
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rustic building and its surroundings: an old Abbey hosting gourmet restaurant with local cru craft beer just around the corner, some historic ruins, feeling of being secluded in the middle of Belgian countryside nowhere. A bit further - narrow bridge over the river dam. Spectacular and peaceful. Very polite and helping host. Tasteful interior. Nice local cheese variety at breakfast.
Cons: Interesting but functionally strange shower and toilet hidden behind round individual curtains in the same room. Couldn't find a way to lit them, so it was strange experience at first. Got used to, though.

Pros: The hotel personnel were very professional and helped on a few things for me i.e. as soon as I got to my room I picked up the TV remote to move it and it fell to pieces in my hand, took it to reception and the gentleman found a replacement straight away.
Cons: Yes the rooms could be cleaned more thourouly. There was a hair in the bathroom and a false nail next to the bed leg. And the carpets need a deep clean. Broken TV remote that had been tapped up before.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Tristar is located in the center of the La Louviere. Hotel is nicely decorated. Rooms are clean and comfortable. On site parking is not possible. but just in front of the hotel there is an underground parking garage, 24h is 12 Euros. Wi-Fi was free and worked flawlessly. Breakfast was 10 Euro per person and very good for the price. Rooms are equipped with kettle to make coffee and tea and there is a refrigerator. Staff was very friendly, Definitely advised for a stay in La Louviere.
Cons: None
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated in the town square and is adjacent to a restaurant. I had a meal in the restaurant and it was excellent. The room was very big and spotlessly clean. The lady at reception offered me to put my bicycle in my room or their conference room which is what I did. Breakfast was a buffet and cost an extra 10 euro which was well priced. Staff were very nice.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
