Beautiful building, superb views and stunning hilltop location. Rooms very nice, with own balcony. All in all, very good value.
Everything. Very friendly staf. Nice rooms. Patio
Beautiful setting, kind reception, big room, guading of our luggage after check-out Advice on place to eat at night was not up to standard
I loved the hotel! It was perfectly situated, my room was comfortable and spotless with the view that I had requested. It was located very near to all I wanted to see, and had parking just a few doors from the hotel. Couldn't have asked for better.
Helpful staff. Good location. Good breakfast buffet.
Centrally located, easy walk to most areas. Would like clear directions to quality dinner. Need place to put two pieces of luggage so bending to floor not necessary.
good price, parking inside forniture and services very poor, not very close to the centre
Delightful small hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Easy to drive to and with adjacent secure car park for reasonable charge. Short walk to old part of town and sights/views. Lovely breakfast at Hotel.
Very well situated, near to the old town. Free private parking. The staff was extremely helpful, congratulations. Breakfast very good, both continental and meat/cheese.
Location of the hotel
Location right in the center of town and the view from the terraces. The food in the restraunt and the service was great. Driving into Hotel was confusing and the streets/lanes were narrow.
The views from the terrace and from the room were out of this world. The hotel is situated in the historic part of town within walking distance.
Location in old town Breakfast food not covered. Flies in dining room.
It is hard to describe this property with words unless you are a poet! This is the most beautifully located hotel that I have ever seen. I was able to upgrade to a room with a view that was beyond description. The staff at this hotel was wonderful. The food was fantastic. The room was spacious by any standard. If you go to Andalusia do not miss Arcos de la Frontera and make sure you stay at the Parador. There is a reason that this town is one of the 1,000 places to see before you die. There was nothing about this hotel that I didn't like.
Parking was problematic. The lot used by the hotel is a public lot. On one of the two evenings we were staying at the hotel the lot was full. The nearest alternate parking location is about 3/4 miles away down the hill.
I can enjoy great view from the terrace. The breakfast was also great.
Excellent view from terrace and very good location. Food in hotel restaurant was overpriced, very small portions and it was tasteless.
The location is amazing. We had a wonderful dinner in the patio. nothing
The hotel was great and panorama excellent. Food was not as good as expected. The fish tasted like it slept overnight in the plate.
The views, facilities and location of hotel as well as cleanliness None
It was at the top of white wash hillside town. Beautiful.
Location Lack of sign posts to the Hotel. Was actually 4 kms outside of the town
Comfortable clean and well furnished rooms. The decore of the hotel was very attractive with a nice pool. We felt the service at breakfast was very bad. We arrived at the correct time at breakfast to find the breakfast table not laid and no staff to be seen. The receptionist had to help out as she was the only one that could speak a little English. The second day was a little better as we had a young man who tried very hard to please us with his service and seemed to be doing the work of several people which we felt was very unfair to him. Our praise would go to him for doing his best.
Spacious, clean, staff friendly and helpful, great location in the centre of the sunflower plantations, lovely pool area and central courtyard. Restaurant slightly over priced and main courses a bit sparse. We ordered steak with mushrooms and that was exactly what arrived with no garnish, potatoes or veg, but neither was there an option on the menu to order them separately. Also the mushrooms seemed to be tinned as opposed to fresh - not exactly what you would expect from this level of hotel. Not really a big complaint but worth noting. Staff did everything they could to rectify any problems.
Rooms were very unique, (good) Clean, Food Excellent and Staff very helpfull! Hotel near Autovia, but remote.
It was a beautifully refurbished Cortillo out in the country. I chose it as we arrived latish at Sevilla airport and were en route for Jerez de la Frontera. However we found it a little difficult to find and found ourselves on a dirt track - but always difficult in the dark.
Good situated at the lake level with its own big and clean swimming pool. Only several people were there. Amazing sunset by the lakeside. Good kitchen. Last breakfast was not buffet as was written, but continental one only.
good food nice location good size pool n/a
The lakeside location was beautiful, and the food in the restaurant was excellent - loved the zanahorias tapas. I think that some parts of the hotel could benefit from some attention e.g. the hotel sign at the entrance - part of it is missing. The swimming pool area could also be improved upon. A little bit of attention and a coat or two of paint would make it perfect.
The place, the room, the landscape
magnificent environment with a view on the lake. good swimming pool. Rooms are good. We also had a good dinner at the terrace. No Wifi in the room.
The staff was amazing, they helped us pay a parking ticket & booking other hotels. It makes a great base to explore the White hill Towns as there is plenty of parking & it is easy to get to.The deal with the breakfast is if there is not that many people staying there you get a served meal in the restuarant but if the place is full they set up the breakfast buffet.both were great. the pool does not open till june.
Restaurant in hotel is good and cheap. Scenic view of the lake. The breakfast was personally brought over with rich variety.
The terrace setting on the edge of the lake is very attractive and makes a nice place to sit with a beer in the evening. It's a long way from the centre of town; breakfast was very poor.
hotel in a wonderful lakeshore setting, nevertheless close to town
Incredible view of surrounding countryside. Friendly staff A strange smelling room perfume plugged in to outlet by the bed....but I just unplugged it....
The view and friendliness of staff We didnt realise just how inaccessible the hotel was before booking, so more info on website would have been helpful. If we went again it would be by donkey, not a fully laden motorbike ! No complaints about hotel generally.
The amazing views, the old-fashioned decor and the friendly service
We liked it very much and it was great value. A superb location and very nice room.
The private terrace overlooking the cliff was just the best! Also, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. WIFI didn't work in the room -- had to use the computer in the common room. Also, my husband could not get hot water in the shower
Wonderful views across the valley from the terrace of the bedroom
Room Balcony & view Cost of breakfast rather high, parkin a problem
Quite a traditional hotel in a wonderful location. We chose a room with a balcony and loved having breakfast there while also enjoying the spectacular view. A comfortable room well laid out. Our room (number 8) was directly below the communal balcony. The noise, caused by movement of furniture on the balcony carried straight through to our room, disturbing sleep. The bed was a standard double size, so smaller than we are used to.
Reception staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful.Decor of room was very nice and view from room was amazing. Location of hotel is right in the centre of the old town so once you have managed to park your car you can leave it and walk everywhere. Continental breakfast was fine and could have been taken out on the terrace overlooking the fantastic views of the valley below (the weather was too cool for us to do that) Access is challenging due to the very narrow streets, limited parking close by and the fact that you have to walk 250 yards with your suitcases because the hotel is on a pedestrianised street. However, I would not use this as a deterrent to staying there unless you have limited mobility.
Excellent shower facilities, very helpful service. Left behind a telephone charger at the end of our stay and found the owner had emailed us about it on our return home and kindly posted it to us.
we had to call the owner to come and open the door of the hotel which usually remains closed on Sundays. The hotel was empty and we had an overall impression of "do as you can" because the owner did not bother much to ask if we needed something. The welcome was therefore a bit impersonal and "cold".
The hotel was beautiful and well kept. The town was interesting if you like walking around. There is a great restaurant nearby called Boabdil's Tavern which alone makes this town worth coming to. We were the only ones there. Therefore the people running it were absent most of the time, which made for some difficulties.
Nice room, clean (shared) bathrooms There was no kitchen and the owner doesn't speak English
Set in the centre of a lovely mountain town with some amazing views over the surroundings and a bunch of old churches and convents, this hotel is the perfect place to stay and to explore surrounding Jerez (a 20 minute drive) and other towns and villages. The building has a patio and a number of simple, but comfortable, large rooms built around these. You will share a bathroom, but since there are so many of them, it is unlikely that you will have to wait while they are occupied. But the best plus of this place is the staff. The manager welcomes you as if you were the first tourist to ever have set foot in the hotel, always willing to give tips, and explain Spanish life and culture. Breakfast is made according to your wishes, too!
The professional way the hotel was run and the personal attention given to everyone in an idyllic situation
The staff were friendly and focused on offering a personal service. The location is isolated but quiet and restful. The hotel rooms are of a very high standard and the swimming pools were very good.
the relaxed feeling and the privacy
The owner / manager was very kind and helpful and there was a roof-top terrace from which you could see quite far. There was a table and chairs in the room which were great for eating in the room and a bathtub which was nice after days of walking Spain. It was very noisy off the main road and we had to walk a long ways to find anything of interest. The beds were not very comfortable and incredibly squeeky so we woke each other up a lot.
A perfect location in the center of everything and a nice quiet hotel with friendly staff. People should be warned that it is impossible to stop in front of the hotel or within several blocks if you have to continue on. There is temporary parking to the right on the street before the hotel.
Nice location right in the centre of Arcos. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant where service was very good. Discount available to hotel guests. Can't think of anything about the hotel itself, as in many town centre places parking is difficult
The location and the historic nature of the building. The staff in the ajoining restaurant were very friendly and helpful. As a result of the wet weather the hotel was damp and felt chilly in the bedrooms, this could have been improved by providing some through ventilation.
