Pros: Everything was perfect. The breakfast is an excellent deal. We even bought honey that was made by his neighbor. Alain was kind and welcoming despite the hospitalisation of Sylvie. He didn't want to cancel our reservation because we booked many months ago and it was our third time to stay. We wish Slyvie good recovery and hope to see them again next year.

Pros: Perfect hosts, very welcoming, an excellent breakfast, most of it homemade with choices of jams, honey yoghurt, fruit juice and breads and great accommodation with excellent facilities. I would highly recommend this property. The accommodation has a separate entrance which was ideal as we were travelling with our dog. The location is in a very peaceful French village with easy access to the autoroute. We would not hesitate to book there again.

Pros: Hosts were the nicest people ever! They helped us with everything we asked and needed. The atmosphere of the room was kind of romantic with old fireplace and vintage furniture. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was super good and authentic. And location is a real Disneyland. It was so marvelous in the village that we changed our plans and stayed there both days just walking and eating in the best restaurant that is 1 minute walk
Cons: That was one tiny thing. The wi-fi was not good while it was raining. But our mobile internet signal was awful too at that time, so maybe it’s impossible to improve it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts Annie and Jean-Michel are beautiful people. We were traveling with our parents who were visiting from India and wanted rooms with no stairs. Annie was really kind to accommodate our needs. We had two rooms in the B&B. The rooms were spacious, equipped with all amenities. Our room was like a duplex had a living room area and the bedroom was upstairs. The breakfast had fresh bread, croissants, meats, cheese, jams, coffee, yogurts. It was sumptuous. We were stuffed. I really wanted to stay in Gites property and a remote village. Chateauneuf en auxios is a stunning village. It has a population of 85-100 people. We were greeted by Annie who showed us around. We chatted for a while and talked about their travels. Annie speaks english and is very sweet. She made recommendations for dinner and we made reservations at L’oree du bois. We lucked out as the restaurant was fully booked for the night. The food was delicious and the hosts were super kind. Loved the fact that everyone was very nice, kind and generous. That made our stay memorable. Thank you again to Annie and Jean-Michel for making our stay so special. We will come back soon.

6.8 Good
Pros: The accommodation was well equipped, although a little tired and could have benefitted from a makeover. The agent who managed the property was very helpful.
Cons: We opted to have breakfast as part of our package. This was not a good idea. We would advise you go to the local supermarket and buy fresh produce at a fraction of the cost. Our food was delivered by the agent the day before and was not very fresh by the next day. At 12 euros per person this was not good value for money.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you want to stay in a French Chateau this is the plAce to be. Lovely accommodation with the history as well. Even better if you like to play golf!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional , peaceful , welcome
Cons: Welcome from first second to the last one , feeling home
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A warm and friendly welcome by Carol, my namesake, thank you, our one night, on route expectations were totally met. Our room and bed were comfortable and the bathroom newly refurbished, we wandered the golf course, enjoying beautiful views before drinks in front of a huge warming log fire followed by a good meal in the restaurant. We found everything we wanted for breakfast before our departure, in the Bistro, again good friendly service.
Cons: The dining room staff were good but I didn't like being able to hear them frequently whispering, it may have been work related but nonetheless it was a little off putting, we found the atmosphere a little too formal.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very scenic golf course and lovely swimming pool with views of the château and grounds. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent housekeeping.
Cons: Breakfast was very good on our first morning when we were very early. The second morning we went later, although well before the end of service, and the staff were trying hard, but were under pressure to cope. Many breakfast items took a long time to replenish and some staples even ran out completely. At these prices the bedrooms should be better furbished. There was a pleasant terrace at the golf course bar, but far too few parasols.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was beautiful and quiet with great parking. The building is impressive and the rooms are very nice. Lovely dinner outside at a very reasonable price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Friendly staff, great room, quiet with comfortable bed, beautiful building, EV charging, great food, wonderful surroundings.
Cons: I had to leave
4.3 Okay
Pros: I didn’t like anything at this hotel other than the building.
Cons: Th bathroom was shocking leak marks in the ceiling mould and paint peeling off the walls and a shower which wasn’t clean. My husband had to send his food back twice the service was dire with zero evidence of restaurant management. I complained and to be fair the manager reduced my bill. This was not the standard of a four star hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning place a fairytale castle in wonderful picturesque golf course
Cons: Loved it
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just that but better, they took a lot of care and attention to detail. They went out of their way for you. We were happy to stay in, ate at the hotel all the time and otherwise relaxed in the bar or in the jacuzzi. We can’t fault anything.
Cons: There wasn’t anything to not like.

We stopped for a night in our drive and the location is conveniently close to the highway for those traveling by car in the area and need to stop for a rest, Very clean and comfortable for our stay. We only stayed over night and left early in the morning, so I don't know what's around, but for a driving stopover was a good choice at a very reasonable price.

Cons: Everything was great
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly approach, hospitable hostess, domestic atmosphere.
Cons: Difficult to find if you don't have GPS or smartphone (like me with an oldfashioned Nokia).
3.5 Mediocre
Pros: Bed was fairly comfortable
Cons: Unfortunately it was a very tired place. & needed a desperate clean. The reception was strained and not welcoming, and no interest in us or our purpose. Website said we could pay by card but the woman would only accept Cash!, & refused to give us a receipt! We think we are qualified to give an opinion as we are Superhosts of our own Chambre d’hôte in France.

6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly
Cons: The room was very small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A superb location, a superbly run hotel and restaurant, right next door to a superb historic chateau with the most magnificent turrets....what more could you want for the start or finish of your holiday....will definitely return!
6.8 Good
Pros: We had a view of the castle and gardens from our bedroom window.
Cons: The shower was the worlds smallest I could barely get into it.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: the breakfast with a large choice of viennoiseries and all sorts of breakfast, from charcuterie and cheese to basic cereal cheered me up on morning.
Cons: the bathtub was very old and filthy with some hair from the previous customer. The old carpet all over the room is outdated, probably a vestige of 70's, same for the wall paper, my parents were having the same one during the 90's. A light bulb was missing, probably to help hiding the misery of the room, the 2 stools nearby the bed were all stained and mucky . They have a nice bed cover to hide a terribly ugly and shabby woollen blanket. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbours whispering...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting was fabulous as the hotel is situated immediately by the castle. There were places to eat in the area and a couple of interesting antique shops and local food shops.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent steak and location!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s in a great location next to the castle of this wonderful small preserved medieval village. The property has been recently renovated, very clean and comfortable. Excellent staff. We took breakfast there too, in the veranda with a view of the castle!

Pros: It's just Chez Camille, nowhere quite like it, both the hotel and restaurant remind us of a bygone age. Food, as usual was superb and so lovely to have service at breakfast rather than the usual buffet.
Cons: We would have enjoyed a drink when we arrived, but no problem there is an excellent bar just up the road!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A "proper" French restaurant, with several chefs and not a processed ingredient in sight; and, yes, you can see the chefs at work while dining if you wish. Fair prices, both food and wine.

Pros: Fabulous feel to this quirky hotel. Each room has its own character, and there is so much to enchant you in the sitting room, and restaurant. The meals are to die for, and the waiting staff are traditionally attired, further enhancing the sense of having travelled back in time. Our third visit, hopefully not our last!
Cons: We didn't like only having one night to stay in this wonderful place.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A gem of a hotel, oozing charm and quirkiness. A fabulous room, very modern and spacious. The evening meal was a gourmet's delight. It's my third stay here, and each visit is as wonderful as the last. The staff are delightful; it's a little time warp on its own. perfect

8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's a standard Hotel du Commerce in a small rural town. What's not to like. Great staff, good bar, nice townsfolk.
Cons: Nothing.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Not quite one star - it was at least clean. Breakfast was OK, but at €9,50, was more expensive than we would have expected.
Cons: However, the room smelt of smoke and even after leaving the window open for 3 hours, when we returned after dinner, the smell of smoke had returned. The plugs in the sink and the bath did not work at all, so a bath was out of the question. The shower attachment, when fixed in position on the wall, flooded the bathroom, there were tiles loose, the loo did not flush properly and the curtain in the bedroom did not block out the light. When we arrived, there was no-one on reception but the key had been left out for us. This meant that we could not leave our bikes in a secure location, as had been planned. There was also no-one there later. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel until they upgrade the accommodation.

Pros: Large family room, comfortable mattress, very well located (5 min from highway), calm, super friendly staff, clean rooms, very tasty breakfast. All-in-all very good value for money!
Cons: The room decoration is a little outdated but the restaurant has a nice rustic style.

Pros: Great location, and nice basic rooms with big bathrooms.
Cons: The rooms were super hot, with little or no ventilation or fan. It cooled off late into the evening and was fine then.

Pros: The hotel is in a very quit and peaceful location. The hotel is small and cosy.
6.3 Good
Pros: A most relaxing and comfortable hotel. Fire places were great and common areas and bedrooms really well decorated and quiet. Staff friendly. Good location to many little village and Beaune by car.
Cons: Our bedroom and bathroom floors had grit on them and needed to be cleaned better. For such a lovely place with wonderful appointments we felt the girls at the front desk a little unprofessional in manner and dress
7.0 Good
Pros: We loved the location, people, and ease of hospitality
Cons: Next time we would ask for a room facing the valley
5.7 Okay
Pros: The owners are very nice hosts. We only had a cheese diner on Sunday night but it was super. Nice location and downstair rooms like library and restaurant are lovely.
Cons: Our hotelroom was not very clean and really needs some upgrading, just like the bathroom. 'The property is more like a mansion than a chateau. It's a pity that the couches in the library are full of dog hair, so it can't be used by guests.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A truly beautiful house/mini-chateau, beautifully cared for by Marco and Tobias - truly wonderful hosts! The Enchanted Room was truly that with the most comfortable bed on our travels. Wonderful views and located in a sweet village, handy for the wine areas and Beaune. The public areas were so comfortable and relaxing too. Tobias and Marco were a great source of local information - nothing was too much trouble. Great to see that there was no TV in the bedroom - such a brave but oh so right decision! Although we didn't experience it ourselves, we believe their dinner nights are fabulous! Can't recommend this highly enough!
Cons: Bathrobes please! Even if it only in the deluxe rooms!
