beautiful building, wonderful to wander around after hours (although could be spooky if you are that way inclined), dinner recommendation was excellent. Very large room, easily ample for our family of 2 adults & 2 small children.
Interesting facility. Rooms of very high quality. A bit cold and informal given that it's part of an exhibition space/conference ecnetre. Town Ok but a bit run down.
, Not guest focused,Accomadation part seemed only a sideline to the main Abbey
The Hôtel de l'Abbaye des Prémontrés is a wonderful haven in the little town of Pont-à-Mousson along the Moselle river. The abbey has been beautifully restored and put back in its old luster. The rooms are comfortable, very spatious (we opted for a privilege room) and look out over the cloyster garden. The building exhudes an air of tranquility and rest. Relaxation is guaranteed when staying here. The breakfast is in the old refectory which makes for a wonderful start of the day. An absolutely recommended stop over !
The abbey is very impressive and the atmosphere is totally different from an 'ordinary' hotel
good parking, large room, very clean, good breakfast offerings little bit too much used furniture ,carpets and walls, quite uniteresting city, very uncomfortabel breakfast room and too far away
The abbey building is quite interesting and the town on the river lovely. The nearby village of Mousson with its hill top ruins make for a great hike. The room was a bit sterile and not at all of the atmosphere of the old abbey itself.
The priviledge rooms were great: large, clean and a good bed. The atmosphere of the abbey is kept alive. A lovely place to stay. Breakfast is somewhat sparing. No eggs, not so much choice of bread and things to put on.
Great to stay in a abdy with very nice hotel rooms Breakfast was a bit poor
A very positive and unique experience. We had a room overlooking the central courtyard which is spectacular both by day and night. To some, it may seem like a 'night in a museum', but once you appreciate everything it is a truely wonderful experience. Fantasic art in most corridors and elsewhere. Beds surprisingly comfortable. Huge room and large bathroom. Well appointed. Good choice of channels on TV including Spanish TVE. Is also used as a conference centre by day which says something about the overall quality and delight of the premises. Parking - there are two options. There is free parking opposite in a public square which is ok. For a far more pleasant experience ask reception for a map and code to their internal parking. Very hard to fault, except perhaps the somewhat shabby surrounding streets which doesn't really matter as there are so many quality things to explore internally.
Absolutely stunning castle... the views are second to none looking out over the valleys. We ordered a gourmet meal the night we arrived and it was simply magical. Our table was prepared in the beautiful dining room in candlelight and the service was first class. We ordered breakfast but this castle has it right. There is a full kitchen where you are able to self cater. You can have the best of both worlds here. We will definately visit again and stay longer.. the atmosphere is so relaxing I could have sat in the gardens all day.
the castle is a magical place that you only normally dream of, the grounds and the views are second to none, you really feel like a princess in her own castle, best stay ever it wasn´t long enough
This is the most romantic place we have even visited. The ambiance is extraordinary and Francine and Cathrine made us feel so welcome. In the evening we had a romantic dinner for two in front of the fireplace with Fabian as our private chef and waiter. (We had to book this in advance, as there is no restaurant) The food and service was first class. We will be back and next time we will book a suite.
The receptionist doesn't speak English, however it wasn't a problem.
Hotel was shut and unattended when we arrived and after waiting an hour we had to get help from a member of the public to gain entry.Breakfast was very poor value and we had to pay extra to park our car.
I was travelling from UK to Italy with a car load of stuff and the convenient private car park was a godsend.I was only there overnight but the simple room was fine. Breakfast was satisfactory and the prices were reasonable. Initially, I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed, but the street outside was full of excellent restaurants.
free good working internet very ssmall room
the bed a little bit shabby
freindly all good
The manager was excellent. Helpful and welcoming. 5 stars. The menu in the restaurent was very limited and initially the service poor but the waitress was told to sort herself out by the manager and did smile eventually.
it was just a stopover,no problem with hotel but town very quiet. being charged for bike parking
The evening meal was very good Smell of smoking in a requested non smoking room
The staff was friendly and accomodating. It was easily found and parking was on site. The room was spacious and clean. The food was excellent and the service very friendly. A good value all around. No complaints.
well signposted and easily found at night. bathroom a bit tired
It is 5 minutes far from the gare lorraine tgv and that's what we needed. In this regard, we met our goal. The surrounding is a bit scarry (in the middle of nowhere, in between a highway and a road). If your room is on the road side, there is a lot of traffic.
The room was neat, clean and very close to the restaurant and car park. It was simple and highly standardized, but this is normal for an economical motel.
The good service to provide me a key via an open window despite late arrival in the night. The room looked old and quite simple. Then a rate of 80 euros is too much!
Room was clean and sheets and bath towels smelled beautiful. Morning staff polite and pleasant. Location (other than noisy road) was lovely. Pleasant atmosphere in coffee bar below our room in the morning. Disapointed that there were no staff available on our arrival though key had been left for us. Unaware that the hotel was on a busy rural road having booked it for its 'quiet' location. Decoration was severely run down and electrics were in a poor condition.
Although the staff did not speak English, they were very friendly and we managed to communicate despite the language barrier.
