Pros: Breakfast was very good and nicely served. Nice gardens and a short walk to the river. Key code access was appreciated.
Cons: The ability to bring a car to the front door for the purpose of offloading bags would be a benefit, particularly for older people.
Pros: Really liked the room that we were given - one of the most stylish ever - and what a selection of champagne!!
Cons: Chateau Thierry and the walk there beside the river are a little scruffy but still very interesting - as is the whole Champagne area.
Pros: This was a good place for a one-night stopover driving across France. The location on the banks of the Marne was very pleasant, the room (Jasmine) was spacious and very comfortable with a very good bathroom. The dinner was good value and met all our expectations. The wine and champagne list was excellent, as was the breakfast.
Cons: The TV was somewhat difficult to operate.
Pros: Perfectly hidden romantic spot, wonderful kitchen and beautiful champaigns
Pros: Beautiful chateau very comfortable with excellent ambiance and lovely hosts. Food delicious. Pretty location. Superb walk along the riverbank to Chateau-Thierry.
Pros: Attractive French chateau. Evening meal was excellent, the owner was charming and friendly, bedroom very comfortable. Perfect stay. Highly recommend.
Pros: Lovely traditional chateau, furniture and fittings, wonderful garden.
Cons: Could do with some updating - fans for our bedrooms were a bit rickety and didn’t work very well, shower tray didn’t drain properly, but these were all small things that didn’t really impact our stay and the owners were lovely and welcoming.
Pros: Very nice setting
Pros: Great location Quiet Green Breakfast Staff

Pros: Nadège made us feel so welcome and prepared for us the most wonderful breakfast. She totally spoilt us. Historically, It was very exciting to stay at the farm where Jean de la Fontaine wrote some of his fables. Nadège also recommended a restaurant in Chateau Thierry where we had an excellent meal.
Pros: Extremely friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast.
Pros: Our stay was excellent. Our host was very helpful, she prepared very delicious dinner for us although we arrived at 9:30 pm.

Pros: helpfulness of staff.
Pros: Good location, excellent breakfast.
Cons: Would have liked air conditioning.
Pros: Good Ibis, clean and comfortable. Nice welcome and easy check out.
Pros: It is a pretty good ibis, nice to be by the lake, lots of space to sit and relax
Cons: Unfortunately it is a bit out of town and you really need to drive to get anywhere, and not really any restaurants in the town of chateau-thierry
Pros: Modern, bright, spotless and comfortable. Great overnight stop. Easy parking, good WiFi, within short driving distance of several good restaurants. Easy to locate, easy to enjoy.
Pros: The staff were very helpful. The room was clean. At the lobby you can try nice local Champagne with amayzing snacks.
Pros: Staff very helpful. In a lovely location.
Cons: Everything was great. Only public parking near the hotel but we managed to park and they do have a car park a little further away.
Cons: Bathroom was small and dirty. The towels smelled bad. The pillow and the bed smelled like sweat. The room was very very small and only has room for the bed.
Pros: Good sized room and toilet/shower area. Light and pleasant dining room. Good breakfast. Nice coffee!
Cons: Stale water smell in the room quite unpleasant but dispersed after several uses of the shower and sink. Perhaps the room may not have been used for a while?
When you stay at Le Jardin des Fables in Chateau-Thierry, you'll be 6 minutes by foot from Musee Jean de Lafontaine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lots of beautiful features. Like stepping back in time and staying in an old French chateau. Great shower. The staircase was amazing and I love that they used fabric on the walls to conceal the old stone beneath. Lovely hostess and a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. If chain type smart and characterless hotels are your thing, give this a swerve. If you want to immerse yourself in a bygone age, get booking!
Cons: The life size baby doll in the rocking crib freaked hubby out a bit. Couldn't find the TV but not really bothered about that. The features and furnishings although individually lovely, were many, bit cluttered, but that is just my opinion.
Pros: Beautiful garden and house
Cons: Breakfast not up to scratch. Give it a miss if you can. Stale bread. Stale brioche. Curdled yoghurt and milk was off. Left the table hungry.
Pros: located in the middle of the town. Good restaurants in walking distance
Cons: Toilet (like a closet) in the sleeping room. Smells great. On the right side of the bed, staying is impossible due to roof. Stairs from ground floor to upper rooms are dangerous. Room colud not be locked!!!
Pros: Quirky, comfortable with a warm welcome. In the center of town but quiet
Cons: spiral stairs. filigree door to toilet in bedroom
Pros: Very clean, cozy and artistic home. We have stayed twice, each time was excellent in terms of owner, quiet, facility, location, breakfast and French press coffee. Breakfast in the garden was lovely! Public parking was close and easy but be careful if the square will host a market the following morning. Marrakesh restaurant 1" walk away was excellent. Enjoyed the beautiful town, market, and American Cemetery at Aisne-Marne (Belleau Wood). Steps could be difficult for mobility impaired, but fine otherwise.
Cons: The bed was a tad soft. We had difficulty locking the door but it was rather late to wake the host so we managed to secure it on our own. Next time I would review the door lock mechanism with the host at check-in. Enjoyed the beautiful town, market, and American Cemetery at Aisne-Marne (Belleau Wood).
Pros: This place like a miracle. Marie the owner so friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were great, and we loved the rooms. Never estimate a place from the outfit :)
Pros: This b&b was located just off the main town square in a small street, blink and you would miss the entrance to a cobbled court yard. The property is probably late 18th century and has wonderful decor with lovely bedrooms. The Mademoiselle is a lovely lady who made us very welcome, and recommended a local Italian restaurant which was superb. Breakfast was very good and a lovely selection of home made jams. Will definitely return again.
Cons: The only thing I would mention and it is not the fault of the b&b is that my room was overlooking the street, and opposite is an Indian resteraunt so there was for a short time while it was open a smell of curry.
Pros: woman who owns/runs property pleasant, friendly
Cons: garden area smells of sewage
Pros: It was a very cute inn. Good location. Nice town. Breakfast was very nice on the beautiful patio. The owner is very friendly.

Pros: Our room was on the corner of the top floor. We were able to open all windows at night and let the cool night air of the Picardi Valley flow quietly through. Breakfast was outstanding! Matthieu is a Super Star. He runs the place whenever he’s there. He’s kind, knowledgeable and thoughtful.
Cons: That we could only stay 3 nights!!!
Pros: Breakfast fantastic, room fantastic, helpfulness of staff fantastic
Cons: Dinner was dull, the menu and the food were tired and didn't register with us as any better then 'okay'
Pros: Hotel is easy to find, nice view on the town, great fitness in the building at the back of the hotel, down the stairs. Breakfast was good, good variation of cerials.
Pros: Beautiful locale. Excellent easy parking. Nice restaurant. Very nice room and tho we didn’t use the spa due to time restraints we intended to and it was nice looking and fair priced.
Cons: Staff was always nice and helpful, but our language difficulties were confusing on an important lost and found issue. Still unsure if it’s resolved despite repeated telephone and email communications. Even using native language interpreters at times didn’t seem to help. My fault for leaving an item and being language deficient but it did seem “too difficult” to solve. Otherwise a perfect stay!!!
Cons: We are both 80. Booked in May. Arrived to find no room available. Very rude reception. Just said we were booked into Ibis Budget. We were tired after a long day motoring, looking forward to a nice disabled room and a good evening meal.ha hat they said the toilet was broken . I don't believe it.
Pros: Fabulous chef and quick service.
Cons: All good.
Pros: Breakfast was very good especially the orange juice.
Cons: The dinner menu was limited
Pros: Clean room, good value for money and very good pool.
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and polite; especially Solene (you are an angel). Breakfast was outstanding!!!!! Fresh squeezed oranges juice, local cheeses, etc. Also, Hotel is located in WWI historic area, and is also in driving range to major tourists sites in Champagne region. Free parking as well.
Cons: Room was a little small. Bathroom looked updated while room itself did not.
Pros: Pleasant staff and close to American WW1 monuments and cemetery at Belleau Wood
Cons: noise of moving chairs on the third floor late at night.

Featured amenities include express check-out, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Planning an event in Chateau-Thierry? This hotel features 431 square feet (40 square meters) of event facilities. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location good for our purpose
Cons: The breakfast was really poor. The worst we had experienced on our 5 day trip.
Cons: The bed was not too comfortable
Pros: Good location, opposite supermarket, near Mc and Chinese restaurant. I got nice river view room. good for parking.
Cons: no place to put plug in. I must use refrigerator plug socket.
Pros: We have stayed here on three occasions now. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Breakfast and dinners are very good This time I left a jacket behind by mistake. They promptly replied to my emailed query and have posted he jacket to me.
Pros: The location is not bad, if you have a car. I would have preferred being closer to the downtown for ease of dining, drinking, etc.
Cons: Very hot in the room with no air conditioning. The hotel basically closes on Sunday at noon, with no restaurant or front desk staff available. The staff is poor. My room ran out of toilet paper and the maid did not replace the roll -- so, I had to go out and buy toilet paper, since the front desk was closed.
Cons: tiniest of rooms. very old. They closed and locked the place down from 12-2!!! People couldn't get in.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Room was a bit small and the bathroom/toilet facilities were unique and the toilet area was cramped. But we could see the Marne River from our room.
Cons: toilet was wierd. But it worked and was clean. It was literally a "water closet".
Pros: very comfortable beds and quiet room. Good choice at breakfast.. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: room was tiny and dark and hot. not particularly fresh
Cons: No aircondition
When you stay at Campanile Château Thierry in Chateau-Thierry, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Musee Jean de Lafontaine. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff and good faciltiies.
Cons: The restaruant menu is limited but the quality was good.
Pros: Super flaky breakfast pastries, perfect for what I needed. If you want bacon and eggs, go elsewhere. (but I don't care for that.) I am especially appreciative to the staff who allowed me to practice my French and didn't automatically cut to English. If that was courtesy or just because they didn't speak English well, I don't care. I'm happy with the results.
Cons: WiFi was adequate but slow. I had some homework assignments to do some research on while I was there and though it got the job done, it was slow when I had several tabs open.
Pros: The bed was comfortable and shower was big
Cons: The breakfast was expensive !!! Choice very poor.no eggs bacon sausages...... Only salted butter. When we arrived for breakfast the lady was outside smoking her cigarette..... No butter or cheese on the buffet. I went outside to get her , she came and filled the cheese and butter dish.
Pros: Good ambiance and cleanliness.
Cons: Its the town known of poet Jean de Lafontaigne. Has a historic museum. But Hotels and holidays in chateau Thierry are to be recommended for only those in self driven cars.Location of hotel is too far from Train station and no guidane from staff (non English speaking) on how to reach by Bus or Taxi. If you have luggage you are irretrievably struck. When asked from train station as to How do we reach the hotel? The beautiful answer by receptionist lady was .... "I dont know !" Never heard such an answer from hotel staff. Maybe she did not know english .. but then that should have been the reply. Its a small town with limited commercial or business activity and so No Taxis. In Chateau thierry town surprisingly. Buses frequeny by the hour only. And the Vineyards too far.
Pros: Excellent quiet location. Just stopped for rest before visiting American monuments the next morning.
Cons: Comfortable beds.
Pros: Basic but comfy overnight stay, restaurant on site was a bonus.
Pros: You can smoke outside of the door as you go on a public area.
Cons: The "hotel" it's a motel outside of the city. The breakfast is identical every morning. On the dinner you depend on the Chef if is cooking well done or rare. You will need a car to move if you get this accommodation.
Pros: The location is good to visit the nearby Belleau Wood battlefield. I was happy that the staff was able to provide dinner when I arrived late and the breakfast was good. I found someone else’s blood on the sheets so it is obvious the bedding was not changed . The hotel is dated as is the room but the price reflected that. Parking was convenient and it served its purpose for the night I stayed there . The staff was kind and accommodating and that was helpful since I can’t speak French but that was never an issue since they were decent to me.
Cons: Cleanliness and an overall unclean felling about the hotel.
Pros: Easy access for a stopover , typical campanile, shops across the road,
Pros: Easy check in Secure free parking Restaurant and bar on site Good value buffet breakfast
