Location, cleanliness, staff, easy to get to from the airport Nothing
The location of the hotel is excellent in relation to the city centre. Lots of noisy building work going on close to the hotel.
I was impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, particularly on Reception. I had a slight problem when paying my bill. Was being overcharged but the bill was adjusted to my satisfaction.
Location of hotel was great, very central to everything we wanted to do. Staff extremely helplful and friendly . We had a very good sized room and the overall cost was excellent value for money.
the location of the hotel and the comfort of the room and it was esy to find
Location. Great for exploring the city. Was put in room at front of hotel looking onto the street despite requesting room with a view. When asked to change, it was a bit grudging and was put in smoking room that was small and poorly cleaned - dusty and also found sock of previous occupant under bedside table. But the view from the back of the hotel is brilliant. So, if possible, ask for room at back of the hotel on the fifth or fourth floor. Bathroom was spacious in comparison to the room. Breakfast was disappointing - very limited and poorly prepared hot food of any kind. Awful bacon and scrambled egg. Good on pastries (not my thing) but rest is mediocre.
Great loocation, and good value Front desk clerk rude, person who got us sandwich in the lounge very rude, and paking information confusing
It is a nice modern, clean and up to date hotel that is ideal to visit the city of Malaga
It was a nice hotel - the bathroom was nice, the sleeping space was comfortable. I felt safe in the hotel area.
Very nice and comfortable room. Very kind and available staff. Free minibar. Close to the city center. They are missing transportation to the airport. Breakfast should be included with those 4stars high rates.
Central convenience to Malaga Be aware that they are rebuilding the 3rd & 4th floors of the hotel. There is lots of noise during working hours and a crane over the roof top pool! If you just use the hotel for a base its not a big issue but can be annoying.
The room was very nice and spotless. Good facilities for children, a nice pool area and a good restaurant. Friendly staff. All in all a very nice hotel. Reception could have done better in allocating a room for us. We ended up having to carry the buggy up and down five sets of steps from and to the room...
Friendly Staff, Lovely Clean Hotel. Excellent location, Child friendly. Cant find anything that i didnt like!!!
relaxed swam ate good food , had nice evening strolls along the beach and nights out at the harbour, excellent looking forward to going back.
Very nice place to stay, great for relaxation, parties and trips. Services provided by this hotel are excellent.
Great clean rooms, friendly staff, good facilities to cook food, nice surroundings, good for families, quiet, clean nice, good pool areas (for children also).
staff polite and very helpful, rooms great value for money
excellent value,,plenty to do
just about everthing meet and greet staff very nice rooms spacious and tidy lovely pool and close to the beach
Convenient for see front, nice sunbathing area round pool, comfortable sun beds. our apartment was a bit of a strange shape and had to out of the complex to get in & out of it although it actualy looked over the pool. Could do with a bit of updating but I understand there is some refurbishment already going on
on behalf of all of us who stayed, I can honestly say that the staff, facilities & cleanliness were second to none, & I would have no hesitation staying there again or recomending Sahara Sunset Club to friends or family.
The staff were polite and helpful. The dining (breakfast) room was very noisy. Due to roadworks and poor road signs it took us a long time to get to the hotel. We were only travelling from the airport and we could see the hotel within minutes but couldn't get to it. The car park needs to be clearly marked.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Location was very close to the airport
le personnel le confort des chambres le parking gratuit en bas de l'hotel la piscine trop petite et mal agencé pour les transats la wifi (pas assez de débit) le bar fermé à 24h et pas de personnel en permanence pour nous servir
Entrance view, room site swimming pool reception staff, to be more friendly.
nice relaxing hotl good for airport and shuttle bus
Offered pick up and drop off from airport. Good sound insulation in room and very comfortable Drop off back to airport was too early. last bus in morning was at 9.30am but we did not really want to go until 11am
Hotel room is clean, quiet, simple but functional modern design and spacious for this price. The doubble bed & sofa-bed is big and confortable (Sofa-bed is big enough to sleep two adult). We'll stay here again if we take early morning flight from Malaga again next time. There is not free airport shuttle bus 24h. There is nothing to go and to do close by (just airport...) . Measure the weight of the suitcase is not free of charge.
The breakfast was extremely expensive for what it was. The coffee was undrinkable, the only time I encountered this during my trip in Spain!
The quiet calm atmosphere from check in to check out and the patience of the staff as I tried to use my poor Spanish. The pool area seemed to be closed on my second day which was a pity as I had planned to swim before heading back to the airport.
It is located close to the airport and offers a free transfer to it.
Great location near restaurants, shops and historical venues. Good food. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff was very helpful. We asked for and were given interior rooms that were very quiet. No irons or ironing board in the room and when we were given one on request, it twice shorted out the electricity on our entire floor (which is probably why they're not in the rooms to begin with). They do have an ironing service in the hotel which we didn't use.
Great location. The staff was very kind & helpfull (especially Miguel in the reception). Nice & clean room.
Size of room, location, room design Noice from the street
i liked only two of the staff members. The beds were comfy. Showers were nice. Food was pretty good as were the prices of breakfast. The housekeeping and staff and laundry services were perfect. Too much money for what we got. Management is lacking. Pool is a bit too small. Got ignored in the dining area. Really loud construction right next to us on the street by us.
Design, comfort, roof top pool area No films available on tv and small tv
Great location. Larger than expected rooms, and bathroom. Very clean. Would have preferred a larger bed rather than two twins (on wheels) pushed together. Very small balcony, and pool.
Grade A service and food
The street noise was neverending with people coming out of pub, clubs, refuse being collected, streets being hosed and tables and chairs being put out. We got no sleep.
The location is excellent and the quality also. Exceelent choice for a long weekend.
Cental, style modern,
The location (in the town center) and the hotel staff making your stay agreable!
I have visited the hotel on a few occasions before and I would recommend its central location Reported broken hairdryer ( it smoked when plugged in) never replaced.Kettle in room broken replaced with another broken one.Towel rack in bathroom had screws hanging from wall.Hotel seemed to have a very low level of staff and so very not able to deal with guests as one would expect.I ordered poached eggs on final morning as breakfast for my wife and I. Eggs never arrived despite asking twice, was still charged 32 Euros!. I complained but no satisfaction given just empty "We are sorry". No rebate on breakfast charge though.
Beautiful, remote location
Quiet and natural environment, nice library dirty pool, too many wasps, shabby room
Location is simply brilliant - close to Malaga but feels like a world away. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The setting is beautiful and the place has a lot of rustic charm. The rooms are pleasant (but not luxurious), and the staff delightful. We found the menu rather limited and the breakfasts somewhat lacking in variety or imagination
It is an idyllic place in a beautiful natural park. It is peaceful and quiet with clean air and gorgeous sounds. The hotel is an old traditional building full of charm. Perfect place for a restful break. Not really. May be the food was not of a high quality as the rest of the services.
This was wonderful hotel, we would definately stay here again.
lovely place, lovely staff, very helpful
The hotel owner, Juan Maria was so hospitable and made us feel like we were at home. He made so much effort to make us comfortable and enjoy our stay The hotel was quite cold generally and every time we had a meal in the dining room, we had to keep our coats on.
Serenity and quiet Somewhat difficult access road (one lane and bending)
Pure isolation yet a fairly short drive to major tourist sites. Friendly atmosphere a real home from home.
The Hotel staff were all very friendly and most helpful. We were made to feel very very welcome. Rooms spotless and cleaned daily. We expressed concern about the breakfast arrangements with the contracted-out, sub-standard ,adjoining cafe and they kindly suggested that we eat elsewhere and present them with costs. The breakfast was contracted out to an unfriendly adjoining Cafe and the breakfast was extremely poor - in fact the worst I have ever experienced over many years of contented travelling. "Cold fried eggs with limited cold cuts and children’s sickly sweet cereal, set in a cafe littered with dirty used crockery." The proprietors were very rude, bad mannered and made us feel very unwelcome. We received a barrage of abuse one afternoon after deciding not to order a coffee. We refused to go this cafe again. If the hotel staff did not intervene we would have taken matters much further. We understand that the hotel will use their own restaurant to provide breakfast in the near future - the sooner the better !!
It was excellent to have on site parking although finding the hotel by car was a bit of a roundabout affair. It was a nice hotel for the price and the café did a decent breakfast. Good hot shower and receptionists very helpful. Quiet, although it is opposite a school. Bedlinen. The bedlinen was poor, one very thin sheet and a very thick, furry bedspread. One heavy pillow. Fought the bedlinen all night long.
The staff were very nice and helpful, the hotel was clean and tidy, and it had its own free car park. The stay could have been greatly improved by having bedside lamps, and some seating on the patio area.
There are no bedside reading lights or chairs in the room
STaff were there when you needed them but just let you enjoy yourself.Close to the beach and of course the bars!
Very nice hotel staff; quite new hotel & rooms and furniture, located in a very central, but not so touristique part of Fuengirola Quite small rooms, typical spanish hotel room
wifi free so we was on internet most evenings breakfast very poor, no hot food
Very centrally located with comfortable beds. Breakfast served in the cafe next door was very good. No international channels on the TV. Room needed 1 or more chairs as it was sparcely furnished with no where to put your clothes.
Less than 10 min. walk to bus/train station and the beach. Super market or other shops are near by. Very friendly and kind reception. The room was clean with the new TV. Good price including breakfast.
Excellent location near all the main attractions but just far enough away to be quiet at night. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Parking. Comfortable, clean rooms.
Nice new comfortable hotel with a big bed, bus stop in front, acceptable walking distance to the center, free WIFI, varied and big breakfast, nice personel Room 110: the light in the bathroom was very heavy: I'd like a soft light better when I just woke up... There was some hair on the bathroom floor. The glass of one of the closet doors was broken. The smell in the bathroom wasn't that fresh.
That I had to pay for Wi-Fi.
room was a bit small
I asked for a non-smoking room, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke
The clean comfortable rooms. Loaction. Service desk helpful and efficient.Good value for money. One of the better 3 star hotels. Smell from the toilet. Air condition was not on although it's already in middle of April.
it's an elegant and very clean hotel
The rooms are comfortable, warm and clean. Also they´re quite new and well mantained. I was charged for a film in a sort of PPV from the room TV that I selected by mistake and didn´t even watched
Very nice hotel
Business hotel. Clean room. Quite far from the city center.
Very nice, new hotel, with very comfortable rooms. It was hard to find it for a first time, very small lifts ( for max.2), reception staff could be nicer.
pleasant hotel, very close to the beach, good breakfast.
the hotel is a little gem.with easy access to the seafront and to the tourist attractions. a lovely small hotel
It has a familiar ambient The noise of other guest
the room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, as was the rest of the building. parking is a challenge if you have a car.
The size the location
honesty, cleaness, location,
value for money; near the beach; good air-conditioning no ramp from the street to the entrance (would be inconvenient if you have heavy luggage); booked for double-bed but was given twin-bed room; heard annoying toilet piping noise once in a while; lengthy walk to the old town center
The location is excellent, close to the beach, old town and park. The hotel has some charm, is clean, and features patios with some rooms. The staff is helpful as well. Parking is on the street, which can be good, but spots can at times be difficult to find on weekends. Access to WiFi is poor, It is ironic that the wifi in another hotel was used to book this one, but Hotel California hasn't yet caught up to the world to offer free, easily accessed internet.
This was far better than the two star rating. The rooms were excellent and well furnished as was the hotel throughout. A five minute walk to the beach and about fifteen minutes to the city cenre. Local buses stop outside. There is a roof terrace overlooking the sea. Free internet on request. No bar or resturant. The furniture on the roof terrace was worn and needs replacing. Some of the sun beds were broken.Nine euros for breakfast was excessive, there are plenty of bars nearby which are much cheaper.
Me and my wife, we were surprised (in the good sense) by the quality of service. The staff is friendly. The building, even though old, but clean and neat. The rooms are perfectly cleaned daily. 5 minutes walk from beach. Our room was facing the street. At nights it was really noisy. Had to use ear plugs. There is no pool in the hotel, but this is a minor issue (on the roof there is a shower and a couple of hammocks with a tent). Internet access (except the WiFi) would be very useful.
Clean, bright rooms. Lots of space. Cute town. No one at the checkin desk. Doors to hotel locked in the morning.
Manager and wife were superb hosts. Well appointed air conditioned no smoking restaurant. Food very good quality The girl running breakfast sewrvice and who took payment was the most miserable critter; so much so that I enqured of her whether she was able to speak. ( in my near fluent Spanish) This prompted the response that she was tired!!
The hotel was reasonably easy to find. It was clean and modern, the bedroom a decent size with a large balcony. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and no full length mirror. The continental breakfast included in the room rate was not worth it.
Absolutely fantastic, 5* hotel excellent staff, we upgraded to Junior suite 101 ask for this if you want the perfect romantic break No coffee facilities in the room!
every thing was perfect
Fresh hotel, fairly good location for shopping. Our room faced the main street outside and it was far from soundproof. In addition, as it was raining, the raindrops hit the arcroof of our window and it felt like sleeping beside a dripping bath-tap. When we told the hotel personnel about this it was no real interest in the subject.
I thought the reception staff and the porters of this hotel were absolutely wonderful. They were exceptionally pleasant as well as being proud of their hotel and efficient. Our bedroom was on the first floor at the front of the hotel. Despite having double-glazed windows, it was dreadfully noisy. The street outside is very busy and the bay window in the bedroom seemed to draw the noise into the room in a way in which a normal window would not. It was a real nuisance and we were woken on and off throughout the night as well as early in the morning on each of the 3 nights we spent in the hotel.
The Hotel, staff, room and location were all excellent. I liked the valet parking, nice touch. I had a room service meal one evening, it was very good, well priced and arrived quickly. I will definately stay here again. I'm being really picky here but newxt to the workdesk there is only one socket. l had to purchase an adaptor so that l could use my laptop and the desk lamp. The free WiFi connection always showed as 'poor' but the desk will always lend you an ADSL cable.
Location was great, rooms very modern No swimming pool but we already knew that
Cleanlines of the hotel was excellent, breakfast good, Location is the best in Malaga. TV-rack was strange and inconvenient, you can easily break your toes with that. Wall rack would be much more convenient.
Location was fantastic, rooms were very nice No swimming pool
Right in the centre a of Malaga and a real "shoppers heaven" also close to the cathedral and other attractions. Lovely jucuzzi baths which light up. Great showers. Having a lap top in the room was a bonus. We found the staff at reception quite helpful. There are no safety rails on the bunk beds. In general the beds are quite solid. Breakfast was not worth the money. Alternatively there are a couple of nice cafe's in the area. As the hotel is in a pedistrian zone your taxi will not be able to deliver you to the front door.
A boutique hotel, right in the centre of old Malaga...............excellent
Great room - good facilities. Bright, clean, modern and extremely comfortable.
We have booked to stay in a 'sister' hotel in Salamanca in September
The hotel was nice, and our children enjoyed the bunk beds in the room.
everything. and in particular the ensuite jacuzzi in the bath coffee machine was,nt working for breakfast. a bit petty, i know
The hotel is modern and very nice. It even has a computer in every room with free internet access. It does not have a parking and the public parking (between 17-20 Euros per day) is 3-5 blocks from the hotel
I liked very much the hotel itself, its design, the room, big and spacious, and the breakfast, although expensive Its location was veri good to just cross the road and relax at the beach, but slightly too far from the city ventre,if you'd like to go on foot
Staff were extremely helpful with train and airline changes. Also the proximity to the beach and great restaurants was wonderful. Size of the room, closet, storage space and having a frig were great. Free internet access also great.
The style and condition are really good as well as the location. The manager was always on hand and was very helpful without being asked. Need to crank up the airconditioning during warmer spells and problems with wi-fi
The fridge in the bedroom just didn't work and made a lot of noise and there was no english tv. In the event of no english tv it would be worthwhile providing a dvd player to rent or for free.
free parking on the street the hotel charges a non refundable 10 euro deposit when using booking.com. However, the hotel markets the rooms as free cancellation. Be careful when booking. The rooms are large and average. On the night we were there, there was no heating or air conditioning. Open window let in a few mosquitoes.
A suberb hotel. Rooms (and other facilities) are big, nice and clean. Really nice area for families with children. A park with animals and playground right outside, 50 meters to the beach promenade, which also is full og playgrounds for children. The hotel is not in the city center, but it's easy to take a bus (16) or a taxi to the center.
The hotel is clean and comfortable with its design. The breakfast is also nice. I enjoyed the stay during my vacation there. I'd suggest my friends to go, too!! Good!
the room was excellent and clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. that the restaruant wasnt open in the evening and was very limited for snack and food so we had to go out to eat. We were also very suprised that there was no pool or area to realax outside, it was warm weather but not warm enoughn to swim in the sea and we would of liked to have sat by pool and relaxed. would recommend but maybe jsut for an overnight stay if in off season
The hotel was very clean and the rooms were light and airy. The AC worked well. Staff at the reception were very pleasant and helpful. Location was 25 mins walk from historic centre but right by the beach. Better options for city centre hotel, but great if you dont want to be in the centre. Hotel bar was limited in options, but breakfast was good.
WiFi included in price of the very excellent room, very good hotel garage for traveler with the car and hotel is on a beach location - beautiful palm trees and park. Makes you really enjoy the stay in Vincci Malaga.
brand new hotel, ease of access to/from airport - city centre
Incredibly friendly staff at the restaurant, made a good meal a great meal.
Close to railway and bus station No acceptable diner facilities
Very good Location. Nice design . Staff very helpfull and friendly. Will come back again. Good breakfast.
I enjoyed the breakfast very much (and the breakfast lounge)! the receptionist.
Very easy access to airport. Great breakfast and service. Close to waterfront. Although the shopping in the train station was fine. The reason shopping outside around the hotel. Area around hotel was not very clean.
The decor is superb. I loved the slide down to the reception and actually used it. Staff on the counter were excellent and very helpful. As an Australian we have tea and coffee making facilities in our hotel/motel rooms. We like to be able to have a cup of tea in our room.
The quality of the facilities and breakfast. The staff was quite slow at check in and not really helpful when needing information.
Good quality breakfast and almost sound proof rooms - shower was excellent. Slide from first floor to cocktail bar was fun.
Extraordinary hotel with excellent staff and intriguing design! Location could not have been better and the restaurant was first-rate! A treat for the senses!
The bed and the shower were excellent. Also the location. Air con v.good. Lifts v.good Coffee was very poor quality. Breakfasts slightly chaotic and disorganised. Staff mostly indifferent.
very nice staff and location, the women were vary helpful and kind, standard cleaning and nice jacuzzi in room number 7...not the best hotel i have ever been but good x the money you spend
Nice people; good price a bit noisy; drain smell from the toilet; smell of other people smoking in their room; too far from the centre where everything happen
The hostal has a familiar atmosphere, which is inviting. It is very easy to reach by bus and lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Staff is very helpfull. Double bed too small, not a very comfortable matrass
The room had everything you needed, was basic but comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly and did not interfere in any way. The staff spoke Spanish and we did not see more than one or two other guests so it felt as if we were in Spain. It was nice and relaxing and very close to El Palo beach.
It is central where i wanted to be and near the city of Malaga, the price was good and i will use this hotel again. parking could be a problem, but i managed to find a space nearby, with was lucky.
The Hostal was in a quiet area in a suburb of Malaga. Our room was comfortable and looked out over a lovely little patio garden. There was a bar/cafeteria at the Hostal with a patio where it was nice to sit for breakfast or evening drink. Our room was near the reception.bar area and one evening there was quite a bit of noise which kept us awake.
everything. tasteful, elegant spotlessly clean and friendly staff. no
could not get fan to work while light was off - ended up sleeping with light on! No full length mirror
Pilar in particular was excellent. Overall a good value for money Hostal
Great location, try to find parking in the streets leading to the hotel and then walk, as the hotel is situated on a pedestrian street. Owner is super friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit dark and moody, but a little balcony was a bonus. The restaurant is nicely decorated, full of atmosphere and good music, we only had breakfast there but it looks a good restaurant and was very busy for dinner.
fantastic staff... thank you boys.. we will see you soon x
Friendly Staff. Basic. Clean. No facilities (soap, gel etc)
This is a lovely little place, situated directly to the beach and on the main shopping street in Torremolinos. The locations is the best you can get and along the bech there is a walking path that connects Torremolinos with Benalmadena in a walking distance of approximatley 40 minutes. The Staff is verry wellcoming and helpful and friendly. We arrived 01,30 in the night because of flightdelay and was welcomed with a smile. Thank you Pedro! The Hostal also have a small and cosy restaurant with excellent food both for dinner and lunch. Please try the Paella, it is perfect, and made from fresh ingredienses. Verry reasonable prices both for lunch and dinner. The hole hotel is nice and clean. When I come back next time I will stay here again
Little room, but very clean. Friendly staff. Near the beach. Amazing English-Spanish pub (Bar del Ana) closed to the hotel open till 2 a.m.
Basic accommodations close to the beach. The room was nothing special, but the bed was clean and comfortable, and the shower was great. Good value for the location. Hotel staff was very friendly.
Friendly staff; close to activities including shopping, beach and dining. Noisy and parking difficult, but to be expected for area.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere thanks to the fantastic staff that makes it possible. The location of the hostel is perfect; whether you want to go to the beach or into town, everything is always nearby. Another strong point for the hostel is the restaurant: the food served there is honestly the best you will get in Torremolinos and being there for a week we had a chance to check out many places. None was as good!
friendly, clean, good position close to beach, excellent value for money
Everything! Maybe Hostal Guadalupe should have internet but nothing more!
The location was good and the room was excellent.
was great value for money and very friendly staff. 3 minutes away from beach, bars and 5 -10 mins by bus to the train station.
It was clean and we had quite a large room and bathroom and it was very close to the beach. The t.v. reception was very temperamental and one night another guest was very noisy and the walls between rooms were very thin.
It's cleanliness and location....it was right beside i.e several hundred meters from Malaga beach but only a short bus ride or longish walk to the centre of the city!!
It's really close to the ocean, but not on a busy place.
had a nice stay room was clean good tv channels, having a fridge was great they should advertise the fact they have one. however the cleaners woke us up every morning shouting and banging around. should have more repect.
The staff was very helpful and nice, the room was clean. The hotel is close to the beach and there is bus stop, just 5 minutes by bus to the railway station and 10 minutes to the centrum.
Very good location, close to beach, restaurants. Friendly service and reception employees. Clean and nice rooms with TV Sat and Internet connection. I can recommend for small holidays or weekend voyage and rest on Costa del Sol. No complain, all was OK.
close to beach (not very beautiful), nice bathroom non-free wifi
The hotel stuff were useful. The hotel is close to the beach. Hard to find a parking space.
Superb location and very stylishly furnished. Window faced directly onto wall which was about 1 metre away.
The location of the hotel is perfect no gym
central location, spacious rooms
Location is fantastic, This is our second stay at the hotel in a junior suite which over looked the square. There is a 30 minute walk to the beach and you can stroll through a lovely park on route. Breakfast is on until 12 noon which means it is never crowded. The sound of chairs being scraped along the floor at breakfast on both stays we were above the breakfast room but it did not spoil our stay, we would stay at the hotel again.
Beautiful Design. Delicious breakfast!
excellent position in the heart of the city, wide, clean and super confortable room the stair at the entrance leading to the lift: if one has a lot of luggage is a bit unconfortable. However, as it is due to the fact that the hotel is in the very heart of the city, is a reasonable price to pay.
Excellent service from attentive staff and a very good buffet breakfast. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Malaga. Although there a lot of very good restaurants very close, sometimes a restaurant offering a full menu gives you the option of dining in.
Excellent location and efficient, friendly staff.
I liked the boutique style and decor and good value/ breakfast up to 12 noon. Excellent location for shopping and beach and walking distance from the train station. Liked everything other than no shaver/toothbrush socket in bathroom.
The proximity to the major sites in Malaga and of course its location right on Marques de Larios, one of the best places to shop while in Malaga! We also loved the roof terrace with the views of the cathedral and Alcazaba lit up at night.
