10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness is always top of my list, and the décor was fresh and welcoming.
Cons: It is a shame about not having breakfast but the recommended café really is very close and on the sea front, so it really was not a problem. There are other cafes, too, so I could try them all!

Pros: That you felt you were being spoil, and you actually got what you paid for
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An outstanding stay, which was fabulous in all aspects. The food of course was a stand out.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The reception staff were first rate. There did not appear to be. Very much coordination with the restaurant staff towards the customer. I felt that as the customer there were several occasions when we felt that the service we expected was very lacking. The breakfast staff were more attentive. To get served at the bar we had to attract someone’s attention, no coordination.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful views, warm and helpful staff. The room we stayed in (Nuthatch) was beautifully decorated and had a lovely balcony with a view.
Cons: For the calibre of the establishment and price of the room, breakfast was quite limited and disappointing. Other guests have noted this too and now I see why. Hopefully, they will take note. We would have loved it, if there was a small gym on site with basic equipment.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was wonderful and the young staff could not have been more helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was my husband's birthday and the staff were very kind. The grounds are beautiful, with stunning outdoor sculptures. The view of the estuary is delightful. I would certainly come back again.
Cons: The quality of the breakfast did not match the restaurant food. Porridge was made with water and the omelette Arnold Bennett was just an ordinary omelette. Minor issues, but one expects the highest culinary standards in such an establishment.

Cons: Nothing

Beachend Guest House - Exmouth - Bathroom
3
9.2 Excellent (120 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was wonderful and the host was very lovely from the very beginning! I would definitely come back and stay a few more days for holidays. The room was wonderful, warm, quiet, and cozy. We really appreciated it because our previous accommodation was facing a road with intense traffic, at night as well. Everything you need is well provided, restaurants and grocery stores are quite close as well. Also, the seafront is very close, just a few steps away, and it's just breathtaking. Also, the Wi-Fi was great! I appreciated it because I also had to work. All in all, we loved it here.
Cons: The bathroom was missing the toilet brush and the shower door was a bit difficult to handle, but these are details that you can easily ignore.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Not a breakfast guest house, gave me discount voucher for near by pub buffet breakfast. Owner allowed me to put my bike in her front room as she did 2 years ago as requested. Double room small but stylish

Pros: No breakfast. Maybe consider a light continental?
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Tracey is very helpful and welcoming, there are lovely touches like a welcoming piece of fudge on your pillow, toiletries, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits replenished daily. Room was cleaned daily. Lovely Victorian style bath plus a separate shower. Lots of tourist information to hand and the guest house is very convenient for the beach which is only a few minutes walk. There is also a handy convenience store a few doors away
Cons: It was a little tired looking in areas and for us the bed wasnt very comfortable. Some may not like the decor, which is old fashioned but elegant.

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location and lovely room
Cons: Lovely place to stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Friendly place to stay, Travel plans were a little up in arms in the day's leading up to my stay however Tracey the owner was very accommodating when needing to make quick changes and the arrival went like clockwork. The Guesthouse itself has a very welcome home from home feel and I felt settled in straight away, After a long day's travel I can honestly say I had the best nights sleep I've had in a while. Room was clean and well presented with a few very nice subtle touches here and there giving it a warm and romantic feel. It's situated perfectly, nestled a stones throw between Exmouth town centre, harbour and seafront. Would I like to return ? Absolutely.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bar meal at night and excellent breakfast in the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the staff was really lovely and helful I really loved the detail with the kettle in the room if I would like to have a coffe or tea when I just arrived to Exmouth❤
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely with a beautiful view of the greens between the hotel and the sea. The room itself was clean and tidy and exactly what I needed! Easy walking distance to the seafront, the town and all the local places of interest. The included breakfast was what you'd expect served by very gracious staff.
Cons: Only downside was that the room had only 3 electrical sockets which were all taken with the kettle/fan/tv - easy fix, but may think of putting in an electrical extension cable or fitting more sockets.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast had a large samples of food. good service. The hotel was near both the sea front and town centre. Friendly reception staff.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked a superior single room just for a one night stay. Very pleasantly surprised to find that it had a very comfortable double bed and lovely views over the bay. The room was clean and very light and airy. Breakfast was lovely and the staff, both in the restaurant and reception, were very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely stay thank you.
Cons: As noted by many guests, parking is an issue but I was aware of this prior to booking. I struggled to find somewhere to park as the on road parking was full. I eventually went into the hotel and asked them if they could recommend somewhere. They have a handful of spaces that can be reserved and they let me have one of these. The cost is £6 a day but I would recommend reserving one when you book if available. Again thank you to the staff for being so helpful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great reception staff, very pleasant hotel. Would happily stay again
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast ticked all boxes, and in my opinion could not be improved. Staff were very polite and efficient. Location for our visit to the Pavilions was not only convenient but the best value for money.
Cons: Parking was a bit of a challenge, however; there are pay and display car parks very near, the down side being time limited. I did find out that there is limited hotel parking that is not advertised for a small charge that can be pre booked so, now wiser. Having said that, driving around and around looking for off street parking can pay off as day trippers come and go: plus I found it entertaining!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Was in a good location. The staff was very helpful to us.
Cons: Door slamming at 6am, human hair in the shower.
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: This 2* hotel was perfect for my needs, which was sub £50 (£45) with free parking available, that offered breakfast and good, clean accommodation. I had a single room which had a view directly over the sea. The room was very clean and presented in decent way. The single bed was not the most comfortable being a bit on the soft side but for one night it was fine. Breakfast in the morning was adequate, if a little unexciting. The hotel has its own bar and the drinks prices were not outrageous at all like some hotels. The staff that I met were welcoming and friendly. Ideal for the business traveller or those on a budget wanting to visit Exmouth and the surrounding area.
Cons: Dodgy plumbing meant that hot water was only lukewarm and I must have wasted gallons running the tap in the hope that it would become hot.

1.0 Poor
Pros: The room was adequate and clean. Location of the room wasn’t good. Basement and car park facing. £275 for a 3 night stay, very expensive for a basement box room.
Cons: Staff unhelpful, rude and inadequate. Rang the night porter for urgent assistance on night one as we had a group of people outside our room banging on our window because one of them was urinating right outside our open window. Then with regards to the fire alarm going off at 1am, on night 3, the night porter screaming at us for refusing to cut our feet on gravel in the freezing weather made to stand on damp grass while he sat on his fat backside in the reception! We refused to leave the balcony and he was screaming at us! Waiting staff next morning at breakfast intimidating.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Having to pay to park.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food was good. Had breakfasts and one evening meal. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Location of hotel was good.
Cons: The hotel is VERY tired. Paint peeling off bath panel. Grubby doors that need painting. The carpet in bedroom is dangerous I.e. not been fitted and very loose and ridged. Soiled towel found in bathroom on our arrival. Shower didn’t work on arrival but was quickly mended. I.e. within half an hour. Stayed in room 121.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is good, decent size room. Breakfast is fairly typical breakfast buffet with reasonable choice. It is a Shearings hotel so was populated by a coach party while we were there. This was not a problem as far as we were concerned just meant a very busy breakfast time. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Parking is available but has to be paid for possibly to discourage visitors to the sea front from parking there.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast good but eggs not fantastic
Cons: Could not pay parking ay reception
5.4 Okay
Pros: A nice looking hotel with many features but a little old fashioned in areas, food was acceptable but could have had a better choice of food.
Cons: T he décor could do with an upgrade and some of the seating areas also the rooms dirty marks on the décor and the bathrooms were in a dire need of upgrading, dirty bath slip mat and rust around the litter bin and the toilet seats were very old and dirty, should as a matter of urgency be replaced.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: The room was to a poor standard stains on pillows and covers and walls hairs in bath shower positioning poor wasn’t able to adjust. Some staff not very helpful when we checked out wasn’t even asked how our stay went etc. I would never stay there again. Whole place could do with a refurbish. Towels in room not nice either, dirty marks on wall in room, mirror dirty. Paid an extra 10 pounds to check in early. I was very disappointed and not worth the money I I paid. If I could I would want a refund totally dissatisfied.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good cooked breakfast - which we don't usually have; plenty of other choices; smiling, happy attentive staff on duty wherever we went. Hope they are properly paid.
Cons: My wife says its the worst, roughest toilet paper that she's ever had the misfortune to use. We think they could go afford to go up market! Even Travelodge would flinch to supply this to their guests! Parking was a bit complicated - we'd have preferred to pay at reception - if pay we must. Lighting in car park all night is not wonderful.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Hotel has lack lustre. No breakfast menu. Had booked b&b only, hotel could not provide dinner for me and two friends as the dining room was full. Not even the suggestion of dining in the bar area. Compared with their sister hotel, the Savoy in Bournemouth, very poor indeed. I will not be booking with Shearings again because there is no consistency in hotel standard. Most of the guests were older than ourselves and would have had difficulty in leaving the hotel to find entertainment in the town, the hotel provided none, again unlike the Savoy.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fabulous location, next to the beach. Breakfast was good, though choice was limited.
Cons: Being told we had a sea view but being given a basement room with a view of the car park.

7.1 Good
Pros: The location is amazing.
Cons: I stayed in a room next to a lift which was so noisy it sounded like a pterodactyl trapped inside and started up from 7am. The central heating was on on a gloriously hot weekend which woke me up in the night as I felt like I was dying of heat. The parking is poor. There was insufficient parking at the front (understandable) but the parking at the back had no bays so everyone was blocked in which meant I couldn't use my car as there were 3 cars behind it and I was woken up to move it on Sunday morning. A cleaner came into my room to ask if I wanted it cleaned even though I was checking out 2 hours later....could this have not waited until guests have left? Are cleaners not provided with a list of customers staying more than one night who require housekeeping?
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, perfect location. Nice and quiet and good breakfast. Car parking.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room was ok not for 108.23 bed was quite comfey TV reception was not the best kept breaking up Best bit about room was the sea views
Cons: Loft hatch was missing you could see a hole in the plasterboard in side roof space , Full English Breakfast was poor bacon was hard and dry sausage was ok eggs meant to be fried but over done the beans looked as if they had been under warming light hash browns were ok only really good bit about the breakfast was the toast The wife had poached eggs and smoked haddock , eggs were done in a bag and were over done the fish looked as if it had been cooked and left under a warming light not very appetizing at all We left most of the breakfast We wish we never had the breakfast We paid over the odds for the room with breakfast Especially at 108.23 and early check in of 10 pounds , only to find out the room had been empty for a few days so really cheeky to charge early check in fee
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing really it way below my standard
Cons: Style , very old need massive update
4.2 Okay
Cons: The bathroom was dirty , the shower door came off on me while in the shower and bruised me toe . This worried me being a type 1 diabetic. When I reported it the next morning the deputy manager laughed !
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were helpful
Cons: Didn't manage any food
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The shower wasn’t functioning properly, didn’t have hot water. No WiFi in rooms (only in common areas)
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were very friendly & helpful. As there were no parking spaces available one member of staff kindly moved her car to allow me to park safely in the hotel carpark. Without which I would have struggled as my car was fully loaded with my daughters stuff for uni so didn’t want to leave it out on the road.
Cons: The hotel was extremely tired and needs updating everywhere. The food was tasteless and over cooked and was on the table seconds after ordering ( clearly reheated in a microwave). We were woken up at 5:30am with creaking floorboards above our room which lasted a good couple of hours.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent.
Cons: The weather!!
6.7 Good
Cons: Breakfast arrangements and the assigned seating. We were ignored by the few staff that were on breakfast duty

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing & beautiful location with fabulooooouuuuusssss views, the hotel itself immaculate
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: Great welcome on arrival. Large airy room. Breakfast delicious.
Cons: Bathroom facilities very basic.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, exceptionally clean, friendly staff and a excellent breakfast.
Cons: The shower room was very small, nowhere to put your sponge bag except the floor, a shelf would have been handy and a bin in the bathroom would have been good. These are small things though and generally I was very happy with the property.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good hearty breakfast with good choice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A nice friendly B&B with lovely staff. Plenty of parking. The breakfast was top notch.
Cons: The toilet door didn't close without having to slam it shut from the inside.

Pros: Great cooked breakfast with quality ingredients. Friendly and efficient staff. Good size room and a comfortable bed. although on a main road our room faced the side and there was no problem with ttaffic noise
Cons: It was difficult to regulate the temperature on the shower and it wasn't vey powerful

7.9 Good
Pros: breakfast was fine.proper english breakfast.bacon egg sausage beans toast marmalade good start to the day ok.
Cons: bed mattress on soft side.bedding was,nt changed through week.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Lovely view from the room window, only a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good
Cons: Dated
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy place to stay. No hassle. Comfy bed. Nice breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the sea view, there is a lift if needed. Staff helpful. Great breakfast
Cons: Cleaner woke me up at 8am to service my room !! I work shifts and didn't want disturbing but no sign to put on door.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was feantastic, one block back from the sea front and that "block" was a park! At £54 per night with a good breakfast, this was exeptional value. Clean and tidy.
Cons: Water system needed a bit of coaxing to get a bath full of water and sometimes there was not enough pressure for a shower - but it worked and for the price........
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good value hotel on the seafront, breakfast was decent, comfy room, no problems with hot water as some reviews have mentioned
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very friendly staff, nice room with sea view
Cons: No water at certain points in time!
