Pros: Breakfast was great and the resort being right off the highway is always a bonus. Terrific all in one resort. A motorized fishing boat or two would have would have made it easy to explore and fish the entire lake. Even a 14 ft aluminum boat with a 9hp motor would be great. The entertainment at night was awesome. Both bands were terrific.
Cons: The only part of my stay I would not do again is have supper in your dining room. $36 dollars for prime rib that was over salted and had almost no taste is just blah food for a hefty price. We opted out of lunch at the clubhouse when we saw the cook not wearing any gloves. the next day he was wearing gloves and we ordered a steak and cheese that was dripping with butter making it hard to even eat. I left most of it because of the butter soaked sandwich. No one even asked why I barely ate any of it.
Cons: FOOD AT HOTEL IS TERRIBLE. WORST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD! :(
Pros: View of the Lake
Cons: It was noise in the evenings
Pros: Terrace rooms are roomy and comfortabke with spacious porch to relax on
Pros: Great location away from traffic. Resort atmosphere with lake and golf course surroundings.
Cons: Very thin walls and ceiling, can hear too much noise if you are unlucky to have people partying late at night. Staff was nice enough to move me when I complained about the noise, but new room was not completely cleaned with hair in tub. Also new room was over a patio where kids were outside to midnight talking underneath window and bouncing ball. Outside parking was limited due to frequent group events.
Cons: The eggs on buffer are horrible
Cons: There was a storm and my room (though not the whole resort) lost power. It happened around 9 at night so I just went to sleep. In the morning (at 6am), I went out and was told that parts of the hotel were without power. I was not offered another room, but I asked for one. The staff person had trouble finding one saying they had "a lot of people coming in that day." They seemed more concerned about their incoming guests than the ones that were there. I was finally assigned another room. I moved all my things to the other room and barely had time to shower before leaving for the meeting I was there to attend. My original room had a wonderful water view. The second room was way too big for me, dark and no lake. I was glad to have a shower, but was disappointed that it felt like a downgrade. I understand that the circumstances are beyond the control of the resort but how they respond and communicate with guests is not.
Pros: NICE AND CLEAN AND ROOM PREP EVERY DAY WAS A BONUS - COFFEE DAILY WAS GREAT- FOR MY MORNING START. THE GROUNDS WERE NICE AND CLEAN - WILL BE BACK AGAIN THIS SUMMER- NICE AND CLOSE TO THE HIGHWAY.
Pros: This was more than a bed and breakfast for us, it was a truly unique experience. The place is decorated with a lot of care and attention to details and the atmosphere is very special with a vintage feel. We stayed in a 2 level unit, there is no elevator but it's worth it. Carl the owner was so nice and helpful with travel advice and prepared delicious pancakes for us! Also, the location is great, in the Amish country area and close to all the farms and local stores. I highly recommend Harvest moon!!
Cons: The quality of the food was satisfactory, but not for the price which was very high.
