There was one lady at the reception desk who was really pleasant. That's it I'm afraid. Let me say, first, that me and my boyfriend tried both the hotel and its restaurant (they gushed over it on their website). Hotel: unacceptable if you consider the price. We got there 1h after the check-in time, got our key from the reception and once we arrived at the room we found out it was yet to be cleaned, so we waited outside with all our stuff. Horrible furnishing in the room, floor that dates back to the 70es (not in a charming way), the blanket looked like it came straight out of a military base. In the bathroom, clogged shower. Breakfast until 10 only. Restaurant: worse meat I've ever had in a restaurant and crazy expensive. Annoying waiter too!!! (The kind that desperately tries to be funny, far from seeming a professionist).
Good location to explore San Daniele and its surroundings, in particular the Colli Orientali vine area. The lady serving the breakfast was really charming and provided good service. Also the restaurant was good (we had dinner) and the setting on the large terraze were nice it were really hot days during our stay, the air condition in the room did not help either as it either was not powerful enough or the badly serviced. In addition there were two weddings ant it was really noisy on Saturday nigth.
Charming location with perfect view and great cuisine. Ideal for lovers of prosciutto. Weak point: the breakfast room looked uninspiring like a railwaystation lounge. The rooms could be a little bigger and it would be nice to have a comfortable chair.
the food was amazing the place where the hotel is set is beautiful
Room was comfortable, good bed. Hotel restaurant was excellent with beautifully prepared Friuli specialties. Breakfast included genuine prosciutto di San Daniele, not a surprise as this hotel is operated by a prosciutto factory. Altogether a very satisfying stay in a lovely area of Italy.
The room was wonderful - well designed and quite comfortable. The restaurant was amazing! The hotel is wonderful, but in the middle of nowhere. As long as you plan for this, all is well.
Everything about this establishment was great!!! True that the staff speaks basic English, but they were very willing to communicate, well done! Excellent restaurant, found some very interesting dishes, would certainly recommend, and they also have fish Thursday, how great is that!!! Please consider these remarks more as advice than negative comment. I would personally like more shelving space in bathroom! Walls to the rooms are very thick, since this was once an old stone house, so wireless is a bit limited; the staff corrected that by bringing LAN cable to the room, worked like a charm after that!
The staff was very friendly. We felt like family there, they got to know our names right away. They were always asking if we needed help with anything. The food at dinner time was good and the staff was happy to adjust the menu a little for our one daughter that cannot eat certain foods. We thought the room rates were very reasonable and will surley recommend this hotel to others. I did not mind paying extra to use the spa/sauna it was a very nice facility but the water in the spa was only lukewarm. After a day of skiing and sleding we were really sore and would have liked hotter water coming from the jets.
Peace and quiet. Nice countryside and fresh air. Friendly staff and good espresso. For the price and 4 stars, this hotel could offer more. Breakfast should be better. Maybe it is better during winter season.
Proximity of ski complex. For the 4 stars hotel, breakfast have to be more miscellaneous.
The price the location and the friendly staff.. no
Quiet in suburbean surrounding, easy access to the fiera di udine, parking no problem, friendly staff, good breakfast provide more electric current outlets in the hotel room (cellular, computer, indirect light), provide larger beds
Very clean, smart design and staff very courteous.
nice bathroom seperate nice smoke room nice breakfast room it wasn't hot breakfast the bedroom is little bit unfriendly
very friendly staff, internationally oriented, got 2 communicateing rooms instead of a triple for the same price. restaurant is very good everything was OK
All the hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Always attentive and nothing was too much trouble to ensure our stay was made as comfortable as possible, with the breakfast menu being extremely varied and always fresh. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone and we will certainly be returning next year. The only suggestion I could make would be to have one or two more English speaking channels on the television rather than just CNN.
1st of all the staff and the owner is really great and helpful. We enjoyed very much the location and the view on top of the village. Very close to San Daniele. The place where we had breakfast is warm and well decorated. The breakfast is offered with local home made products. The room was smelling very good and had during the night a very good smeel of flowers. The stay was great and for sure I want to return back. I highly recommend Casa Rossa Ai Colli. (better experience that in some of 5 stars hotels)
Very friendly and charming countryside hotel in beautiful scenery not far from San Daniele (less than 10 minutes by car). As it may happen in old houses - there is no lift for the rooms upstairs (we stayed in one, very romantic!), so keep that in mind.. if you bring a lot of luggage you should book a room downstairs! :-)
Free internet wi-fi available and the staff was very friendly and responsive. The breakfast was nice as well. There was some mold in the bathroom.
Denis was very helpful, a great resource for all of Italy. Housekeeping was very good. No
Staff is very polite and helpfull, Hotel is clean and cousy, rooms are small but very clean and pleasant.
The staff was really friendly and helpful (good English spoken) and the location was ideal - we were there for a swim meet. The hotel is very convenient to the Italian pool that is used for Aviano swim meets. The breakfast was good with convenient hours and the public rooms in the hotel are very cozy. There were lots of good restaurants close by. We liked the Aviano Inn. The triple we were in was a little claustrophobic for an adult and 2 big kids but we got what we paid for.
The staff was very helpful. I really enjoyed my stay. Great value for the money
The Hotel Oliva is a nice hotel in a good location within walking distance of just about everything. I enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the comfort of the room.
The hotel was quaint and the staff very helpful and friendly. I chose the hotel because of its location to Aviano Air Force Base, where my son is stationed. The lack of 110 power for appliances
Sitting on the veranda drinking coffee; walking the beautiful streets of Aviano; close access to public transportation and great food; wonderful breakfasts; friendly, helpful staff
Hotel staff was very accommodating and informative.
