The staff were very helpful, good food & conveniantly situated for our trip
very pleasant and welcoming staff. The area is very quiet and relaxing. we had difficulty finding a place to have dinner on a Sunday evening
Quiet hotel. Staff very friendly. Can't think of any bad points to add about this hotel.
Friendly service. Good bed. No lift to the first floor.
Very friendly staff. Nice surroundings - large garden and very quiet, although I could hear the people in surrounding rooms. Tiny bathroom. Toilet didn't flush properly and ran constantly, shower was dirty. They did send someone to fix the toilet and it worked once, and then stopped working again. Really, really uncomfortable bed.
Quiet location. Breakfast ok It is quite a problem that the hotel's restaurant is closed on Sunday (and Saturday) evenings as it is quite imposible to find a place in the neighbourhood to have dinner on Sunday evenings
The food was very good and reasonably priced.thechoice of wine was good and again it was a fair price Uncarpeted corridor noisy. room very basic bedside tables would have been an improvement
Hotel is quite basic but rooms were very clean and comfortable, internet worked great, it was nice to be able to park right outside our room. We had two connecting rooms which were perfect for our family of five, good value. Location not great, close to a small town, but this was a stopover enroute to elsewhere so we didn't choose it for the location, only the proximity to the road we were travelling on - which it was very close to. Very easy to find. For the price we paid for two rooms we were very pleased with the hotel. It is basic but clean. It is definitely not a luxury hotel, but great for a stopover.
good value, not a very nice location, food fair and service good rather dreary location
The room was very clean, and the restaurant stayed open to a very reasonable hour, serving very good food. We took a long time to find it. Road numbers appear to have changed, and did not coincide with our current road atlas of France.
The accommodation is self-contained and very comfortable. The views are wonderful and great to have access to a swimming pool and tennis court. Only problem was arriving after the reception had closed and taking a while to work out how to find the emergency number to get the keys.
Kindly reception, service (free internet wifi access) No
1. We arrived after the reception got closed, the key room was expecting us in the storage box outside of the hotel... but there was no key to the entrance... We had to wait for residents to open the door... 2. The bedroom on the upper floor had its window locked. It was hot, stuffy, pretty much like a gas chamber. The staff refused to accomodate. 3. The description says that the wi-fi is free. You will need to remind the staff of that, otherwise they would charge 5 euro per hour.
excellentes prestations. grand confort !
Fantastic views of the coast line and town
Location No tea / coffee in rooms. Hotel in poor condidtion, badly needs up- dating Fixtures and fittings in room very old and worn out. Tv in room very bad Burn marks in bed covers Breakfast was very poor with a very small selection. Evening meals were of a good quality but it had a very limited menu of three main dishes that did not change all week. Dog that belonged to hotel was walking around dinning room and walking through the kitchen. Outdoor pool was dirty
The site, the garden, welcome and dinner - just perfect
unique and beautiful landscape the room is very humble
The location was wonderful--on the top of a hill next to an interesting chapel, with a fantastic view of La Manche/The English Channel. We didn't see anyone when we arrived, but rather found our room key waiting for us next to a small map indicating the location of the room (we arrived around 7 PM). The room was unlocked. The room itself was two story, clean with basic furnishings. The location of the hotel is great; we had a nice view of the surrounding rolling hills and wonderful wooly lambs that were grazing. It was also very quiet! Good stopover between Giverny/Honfleur and Mont St. Michel. The nearby port of Yport is very cute and Etretat has a wonderful view of the Alabaster Cliffs. The bathroom was fine, but they really need to add a shower curtain and a rod to hold the shower head. This may have been the way things were done in France 25 years ago, but not anymore. It is a simple addition that would make a great deal of difference. Also, the room was very cold when we arrived and we didn't want to fiddle with the heating system, so we simply went to bed in our heavy sweat shirts and fleeces.
We very much liked the environment and the atmosphere of the hotel. Located next to an old chapel. The hotel is situated around a square and has a fully enclosed, very nice inner garden. The location on top of the cliffs with its splendour views is also a recommandation.
The hotel location is truly amazing, with a beautiful view on the seaside I must have slept on the worse used mattresses for years; the stores hiding the velux on the roof were out of function, so that the kids were awake much too early in the morning.
Location and room design for a family of 4
The dinner we had in the evening was superb and the service excellent Would like to have had a proper bar to relax in anot to have to use one end of the dining room.
The hotel is situated in an amazing old farm house with stunning views of the village of Fécamp and the cliffs and beach. It was a great middle point to make day trips either way up and down the coast. The breakfast was lovely. The place is extremely quiet and relaxing. The courtyard is peaceful. The rooms smelled damp - but this is to be expected from an old building near the ocean - the staff can only speak French with minimal english, which could be a problem for some guests.
The total Ambiance.
Easy to find on the main road alongside the harbour, central location, more than adequate for our overnight stay No hotel parking
A very pleasant hotel with a friendly staff located 2 minutes away from the bus-railway station, 10 minutes away from the ocean, rooms are comfortable and clean.
Friendly and polite service with comfortable rooms. Had a very enjoyable stay.
The hotel was tastefully decorated, clean and well situated for the town and the beach.
Cheap and cheerful - but with an excellent shower. Comfortable bed. No parking at the hotel - you have to take your chance parking on the street nearby and it's not clear which is short-term and which long- term parking.
Well arranged and decorated interior, quite room even with windows to the street, good breakfast No lift
Very good location in the proximity of the railway and bus station; nice service. Poor street noise isolation in the room.
There is not a lift.
Delightful decoration with nautical theme throughout public areas and bedroom. Bedroom and shower room small but fine for a short stay and were attractive and clean. Very close to town centre. On main road but was very quiet even with window open at night. Shutters, so not woken by light. Good infomation leaflets on local attractions.
We enjoyed the situation close to the sea and the nice restaurant.
I can surely recommend this hotel for everybody who looks for relaxing holiday. The sea view room we had was just perfect.
Location Bathroom shower small
Proximity to chunnel was reason we chose this B@B!! Been before know area. Basic but comfortable, many eating places nearby.
Comfortable room with lovely sea view. Restaurant very good. Friendly staff.
Close proximity to the dock ie Dieppe, and also Le Harve, easy access to major towns and citys. lack of suitable parking for motorcycles
The hotel is clean, staff very friendly. Sometimes during showering hot water disapears.
Vriendelijk personeel; mooi gelegen, fijn eten Smal bed
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, while as the room was small it was still very neat and tidy and had all the usual basics etc. The staff were very friendly, it is a small hotel and I doubt they get many English staying here because it isn't on the usual tourist trail. Most of the staff spoke quite good English and with our smaterings of french we got on fine ! On the downside it perhaps needs a new coat of paint outside and perhaps a kettle in the room would be helpful. Our dinner the first night was great, whoever their chef is he deserves a "well done"! While as this hotel is quite basic I would stil say "go", the staff more then make up for the bad paint job!! Could have fresh paint on the outside.?
Very nice location. Quite village near the ocean. Hotel is 30 meters from the beach and we had a seaview - it was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and we even got a nice present after only 2 nights stay. The only problem is that the staff don't speak English at all :)
The room had a great sea view, and the room was clean. The out side of the Hotel looked very dated and unclean, inside was very unclean with a pile of dirty towels in reception, even the stairs up to our room looked like they had not been cleaned since last year.
camera piccola ma pulita, situato molto vicino alla spiaggia, dotato di un piccolo parcheggio privato gratuito. no ascensore, la colazione non è a buffet, le camere non sono ben insonorizzate, si sentono rumori dalle altre stanze.
free internet access - crazy location (the city Veulette and the hotel)
The hotel was very shabby and run down, it had a very unpleasant odour, although this wasn't too bad once you were inside the bedroom. It looked as if all needed a good clean. The bedroom was small, and the shower/toilet was far too cramped.
friendly staff, small but comfortable rooms, very convenient location right next to the beach. we had a good time.
Very comfortable place, close to the sea. Good rate for us. Different restoraunts near the hotel. The hotel was good, but it is convenient only if you travel by car, as us.
I was a good stopping off point on our trip along the north coast. The facilities were minimal but I guess that is reflected in the price. Staff were very helpful and friendly. One of the waste bins was full of unmentionable rubbish. Bad memory of a pleasent stay.
Hotel easy to locate and parking on site, and is 3 minutes from the beach and prominade which offer fantastic walk and view.
Location is excellent. Some rooms even have a sea view. The staff could take a better care about the closest surrounding area of the hotel. Weeds and just weeds...Our towels in a room were a bit fuggy due to a humidity.
excellent location at the see (we had a room with seesight), room with enough own sitcomfort, buffet for a French country extensive. no lift, no airco available, but understandable for this price.
Good location, we had a nice room with a sea view. Very nice helpful staff and somewhere to park!
The room was clean and the decoration was new and tastfully done. The hotel staff did not speak English but we managed to get buy without to much difficulty, and thats half the fun when travelling abroard.
Spacious room Not particularly comfortable
Very friendly staffs, willingness to help was high, caring for customers vehicles, location is good, the most importantly the pub in the hotel is great. can not ask for more for the price you pay for. very clean.
location no internet facilities available
The location is excellent and the breakfast first class Renovations and works being undertaken which was incionvenient but the most disappointing thing was non availability residents car parking, Had to use the public car park next door which cost E15 . No offer was made of reimbursdement
The Polish (female) waitress / bartender was excellent. We liked the food very much - the room had a funny smell though.
Close to the sea front, very clean and bright, ease of parking. Good servive and excellent value, some very good convenient restaurants.
It has a very nice pub.
the architecture no hot water + being waken by staff before check out. Would expect some form of concern from the Hotelier.
The hotel was really beautiful and clean. The location of the hotel is perfect: relatively close to beaches and most interesting places in Normandie.
The location is great; so is the view of the hotel and the view of the grounds. Restaurant was NOT gourmet, hotel room was poor. Prices far too high. The hotel room was awful (small and run down).
The wonderful food and a great room
The restaurant wine list was unacceptable - no wines were offered at an even sane price; shame that such an excellent facility should spoil itself in this important way.
A beautiful place, location very calm, ideal for relaxation
If you want to stay in a Castle, this is a nice one. Pay the extra for a better room. We had the cheapest room (still quite expensive) in the attic. Very small room. Meals were also very expensive, so we did not eat there nor did we take the 14€ each for breakfast. Overprice meals. Rooms too small for the money.
I loved everything!!! The food was great the staff was the best. I hope to go back one day soon!!!
it is a loveley place for a nice weekend away
Its idillic setting and old world charm. The stair case! It was magnificant but a lift to the upper rooms, (even if it were a 'staff' lift) would have been much appreciated.
The breakfast was very good indeed It was like a motel. No-one was in on the day we arrived, and we had to use a previously emailed code on an entrance door combination lock. Our keys were left out on the reception desk, and we saw no staff at all until breakfast the following day. The restaurant was advertised as of high quality, and this contributed to our choice of hotel. However, the restaurant was closed, even though menus were visible at the entrance gateway and within the hotel itself. We had to go to a local creperie to have a less than satisfactory meal, and this was a very disappointing outcome. The rooms were adequate only, and the overall cost was equal to that paid in Bayeux the previous night in the Novotel Hotel, which was luxurious by comparison.
Large confortable room and very quiet None
Cleanliness Basic bordering on frugal. Food was below average, certainly not gourmet.
Good sized room; pleasant immediate surroundings The restaurant was closed during our visit (no advance warning given) The proximity of a large oil refinery would have put us off if we had known about it, although it had no impact on the hotel or our stay
breakfast no evening meals even though we requested them in our booking, restaraunt closed sat&sun
good breakfast - pity it's not included though - clean rooms - good location for seeing the seine valley, upper normandy and the odd trip to rouen. premier rooms are pricey - oil refinery is a bit of a surprise and a bit noisy at night despite being quite a way off. not much wrong with the place though.
nice place overall, pretty hotel, not far from seine, etretat and seine-maritime tourist spots. good breakfast. watch out when wind turns - refinery fumes rather ruin the ambience. gravenchon has very little to do wrt food, bars etc.
The hotel was in a charming location with very helpful friendly staff. The rooms were excellent - perfect for a family. Enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.
Lovely room in a gorgeous setting, Arriving at 6pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed as was the whole of the village and anything else within half an hour drive. We booked in for breakfast and the waitress couldn't understand our limited French sk decided we hadn't booked in and tried to ignore us. Not helpful when you have 2 kids with you!!!
Very clean room, relaxing location, excellent traditional French food Had not appreciated that the "suite" meant one double bed and a double sofa bed.
Very attentive staff, Lovely big rooms perfect for families and big spa pool. Large spa pool but children not allowed in. Small stream runs through the hotel grounds but no fence on side with garden - need to suppervise little children very closely!
Nothing. Room allocated very small and no view, 1 elec socket, no in room tea/coffee facilities. bed hard.
Restaurant and bar closed on first day
There was a good atmosphere, the staff were very helpful, the parking area wasnt big but it was good to have the car off the street
the location of the hotel in the city, near by the sea, the habour and the centre. the staff was very friendly. there wasn't a elevator and there are three floors
Comfortable room and beds, bathroom large and clean. Good French breakfast, relaxed atmosphere. Good position between town and seafront.
We stayed one night and found the hotel convenient and, for the price, quite satisfactory. The bed was enormous and so comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We were disappointed in the dinner which was expensive for what it was and the main dishes of jacket potatoes were not nice.
Friendly and in the town centre. Stayed in Premier Inn, in Dover, the previous night for £30 less with a nicer, quieter room. Extra charge for parking not impressive. No tea facilities, hair dryer etc.
