The food was enjoyable. The stafff seemed surly, and the room was in need of a refurbish, upstairs of hotel seemed stuck in a seventies time warp, restaurant was however pleasant.
Nice and accommodating staff The general standard of hotel OK for the price but would need some refurbishment. Desk staff would need to improve their English.
Fairly rudimentary room in a nice part of Belgium.
The family room was spacious. Hotel Restaurant was good. Did not like is to strong, but I would have preferred it if the hotel staff had a better understanding of English. We got by ok, but it would have been helpful.
The rooms are in need of refurbishment, especially the bathrooms. We had a problem when trying to pay for our rooms as the hotel staff said that their credit card terminal was down and would not be repaired until well after our departure time. They wanted me to use my card at the local bank to draw cash..at a prohibitive cost to me.
clean, not too expensive, fine geographic situation
The attitude of the staff was very nice, helpful and relaxed
The hotel in poor condition, something like 30-35 years old bathroom, very poor service, clean and quiet though, worth only half the price.
According to the website a double room would cost us 55 euros. It said that a child up to five years would stay for free. We even called the hotel to be sure. So we booked. When we signed out of the hotel they added a cost of 20 euros for the child. they didn't want to negotiate or anything about the cost and they did not listen to what we had to say.
Amazing find in the French / Belgium border region. Rooms were large and comfortable looking out over postcard countryside. Food was a delight with brilliant wine selection. We were there to catch up with friends so did not look into the hiking, & hunting etc.
hotel in general but especially environment, terrace, food, atmosphere, hotel staff, restaurant (fire-place, music and the view through the window match very well together) tv in the room (only 4 channels and in German)
Friendly staff, good restaurant, countryside location
The position and views We were in a attic room with no lift.
The friendlyness of the owner and the overall setting which was very peaceful and relaxing The room was cold when we checked in at 19.30 and took a while to heat up and informed the owner who did something about it
Quiet and secluded. Good access to region. Helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. The family rooms are very good value. Lack of extended choice in restaurant. Only one price range. However there was an option of requesting 'off-menu' items.
Location Beakfast was like a rugby scrum and very badly organised in too small a space for a buffet. We felt that due to the overcrowding in the buffet space and people moving around with cups of very hot tea and coffee there was a danger of people being scaulded. Not a pleasant experience or leasurly breakfast!
Stunning location, excellent staff, food and wine list very good. The ground and facilities are superb, will definitely be returning.
Set in a beautiful location - unfortunately we couldn't explore due to heavy rain. Nice room with french doors that opened onto the garden. Public areas are very attractive. Good food in the restaurant - reasonably priced winelist (compared to other restaurants in Belgium). Friendly staff - they don't speak English so you need a basic knowledge of French (or Dutch). Very slow check-out: it took ½ an hour. Room was a little cold.
The whole atmosphere was magnificent! The only thing I was not comfortable with was eating breakfast around the table with the other guests. The table and kitchen are beautiful, but would have preferred the choice of my own space for breakfast. If the weather was good, separate tables were available on the patio (lovely).
Beautiful and quiet place. Ideal for relaxation and nature activities. Spotless clean. Nice breakfast. We will repeat. Nothing at all. Not having TV in the room is a plus in a place like this.
We had a very nice stay, its deep in the countryside and v pretty. Good value for money.
Nice rooms and garden, friendly owner and good breakfast. It is not negative, because everything is very nice organized, but I was surprised that the wc and toilett is not in a seperated room.
Lovely original touches all around the guesthouse. Interesting and different furniture and furnishings, Very comfortable room, and relaxing bathroom. Very agreeable
Wonderful rooms, wonderful scenery, great value for the money. Beautiful place to stay.
The place was truly charming. The hostess went out of her way, literally, to help me find my way to where I was doing business. The breakfast was good.
We really enjoyed our overnight stay in the fabulous Les Confidences Castle Coach House. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, recommending an excellent local restaurant for our evening meal. The historic Coach House has been beautifully restored and furnished with great imagination. We look forward to our next stay. Julie and Iain Mclain
we liked the design of the hotel very much and the location with the very nice panoramic view. The staff was very kind. there should be a possibility to consume drinks and snacks, either commonly in the kitchen or either on the room.
What a fantastic place. In the country side but close to town.Ideal stop over location or for longer stay to visit local attractions. all rooms vary so check what you require. Great breakfast and wonderful host. Only breakfast on site but places to eat very close. Found it very relaxing. Would be nice if they toke credit cards.
