Very friendly and helpful staff n/A
It was a really nice, quiet place with a friendly atmosphere. There was a good bar and restaurant where you could chat to the other guests. The room was very clean and the restaurant served really good food. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. It was close to all the nearby attractions.
This hotel is convienently situated for Saundersfoot/Tenby area. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The owner was helpful and friendly.
Just an excellent hotel all round Non
Excellent place to stay. The hosts Mike and Julie are very friendly and accomodating. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast. Would definately recommend it. No real bad points, the only bad thing was we wish we could have stayed longer.
The staff and food were good. The Wi-Fi was very good: fast and reliable. Everything was very clean and worked well. The packed lunches were excellent and very convenient. The bed was rather hard, but otherwise everything was lovely.
The food was excellent, never had so much steak in a home made steak & kidney pie, the room was very clean & the bed comfortable, the lounge/bar area was plush with leather chairs/sofas. The staff were friendly & hospitable. Overall a very pleasant & value for money stay My stay was perfect
The staff were very friendly and helpful and I and my guests were made to feel really at home The Hotel could not be faulted
As I travel alone frequently on business, Manian Lodge proved to be a fantastic find! The owners and staff are very friendly, and will go out of their way to ensure you have the perfect stay when visiting Pembrokeshire! The food was also of great standard, a good choice for both evening meal and breakfast. As a business traveller, the free wi-fi was also a bonus. I will most definitely be back and would recommend this guest house 100% to all types of visitors; from experience it is a much better choice than any other hotels in the area.
Really clean and good value for money. Staff very friendly N/A
Mainly its location, a minute's walk from the bus stop and close to the waterfront and village centre. Good restaurant too. And it has a lift!!! Not really.
I was very impressed by the standard of care of the friendly staff and the meticulous care given to my speciaal diet. It was a very relaxing stay and I would happily recommend the Gower
Excellent food freshly cooked for both breakfast and evening meal,I would recommend the a la carte menu
Walking and enjoying the beach and harbour No
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, very good location. Difficult access to the hotel's parking area.
Very helpful staff, nice bar, good breakfast, would stay again if working in the area Parking at the back is hard to find and you need to drive very very slowly or you will bump the car as it is a dirt track, now I know about this would have no problems in the future
Breakfast, Location, Staff, Parking Paper thin walls, noise from other guests and I couldn't see the Taj Mahal from my Bedroom window!!!!
Excellent food, comfortable room and friendly and efficient service. Lack of a comfortable lounge area. The bar is fine but not really adequate as a lounge.
Friendly service and the excellent position of the hotel. Good parking facilities. Quite noisy in room. We had an extractor fan from the kitchen outside the window and a water tank above us that filled whenever anyone drew water. We were woken at 6.30 each morning by this. If we return we'd request a room on a lower floor.
There was a very friendly atmosphere in the hotel. The food was excellent and the room was comfortable. We are thinking of booking another short stay there.
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly, highly recommended.
very friendly and comfortable
our stay was good the staff friendly ,small restaurant so we were unable to eat there , because they were busy.
Fantastic suite, was pleased to find aliving room with leather sofa and big tv!
Rooms were warm and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. And dinners were delicious! We thought it was a great hotel
Helpful & Friendly Bed not very comfortable
very nyce staff and quiet place
the informal atmosphere everything was fine
Have stayed @the Spilman on a number of ocassions & it never fails to satisfy. That we couldn`t stay longer.
Spacious Rooms, friendly staff They were busy at breakfast time and were unable to serve our breakfasts at the same time
Dylan and Amanda the owners are so welcoming, all the staff are only to willing to help advise etc.Very relaxing place to stay, rooms spotlessly clean, bathrooms are beautiful,Restaurant,Dining Room,Lounge area and Bar have all been tastefully decorated. We only had Breakfast while we were there,it was plentiful, we were well fed, well organised place.Would not hesitate to recommend a stay here if you are in Llanelli.Thank you to all the staff. Cannot think of one thing we didnt like.
Allowed late check out-brilliant when racing! Noise of other people and limited continental breakfast, no croissants available.
Staff, welcome and hospitality fantastic N/A
Excellent service and quality accommodation at a very reasonable cost Nothing
Welcoming. Accommodating. Very comfortable. Clean. Good food. Only one - noise of the fan in the shower-room next door when they used it at 6.30am.
Beutiful and very comfortable room which was spotlesssly clean, spacious and had a fantastic bathroom (shower with cd/radio etc)! Staff were incredibly helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Fantastic breakfast. Also had a grill type restaurant if you needed evening meal. Amazing value for money and I would highly recommend! Nothing
Staff were friendly and the breakfast was tasty (when they got orders right). Room was clean. The shower was set to boiling hot or scorching hot - so couldn't be used. Being unable to get in the front door at 11:00pm and having to spend the night in another hotel with no personal belongings at great expense and not being compensated.
Central to Llanelli town, very nice position.
Its proximity to where I was travelling to No cold water in the room
Good value for money -- you get what you pay for after all!! En-suite very small.
It was booked last minute, and the room we had was basic but clean. We had food in the restaurant, which was good. Nice view from our room, pity it's right on the main road. The road outside, quiet noisy ...
Staff very helpful, Good Food & very good location. No Stella Lager
Staff nice and friendly. Food good. Room was grubby and the carpet stained. The En-suite was very small. The shower fitments were loose and fell apart so could not be used. One of the windows could not be closed so I was kept awake with the trafic noise from the adjacent busy road.
Efficient pleasant service Room small and basic
Excellent breakfasts Poor lighting in room, loose toilet seat, empty soap dispensers in bathroom, large hole in base of double bed and the room was quite dusty in the corners, the hotel could do with re furbishing throughout
not a lot the rooms were old, shabby and the carpet was filthy
Area was very nice the restaurant menu had a good variety. Breakfast was very good. it was very mild and did'nt need central heating on. The shower was very poor and the cold tap was hot water?
Traveling alone, I felt safe in the house. It was quiet and welcoming.Good breakfast, no fuss. Thank you. No.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful. Shared bathroom facilities will not appeal to everyone.
Good staff, good location, very good value for money...
No good points extremely disappointed Roon smelt of damp towels were old
The fact it was available at short notice. The welcome talk was pleasant and the breakfast was quite good although very poorly served. Quite a lot
Nera to town centre and client + car parking. Staff friendly enough. Room nees to be better decorated and cleaned. Breakfast should be improved.
Location and value for money
Good Hospitality and Services provided by the Hotel staff. Provided the breakfast meeting our requirement.
Only one: at the request of a yogurth for breakfast, made at the arrival, the second morning the request was satisfied. Wrong address (the Hotel is in LLanelli, while the address in the booking form was "Carmathen" (unexistent place in uk) giving raise to a misunderstanding with "Carmarthen" (really in the area).
The bed was quite comfortable and I had a kettle. It was convenient for the local town and to my friend's house. Shower still had the used soap in the dish from the previous occupant.Shower not particularly clean, I stayed only one night and at a friend's for the 2nd night. I think they could do a bit better with breakfast, I just wanted toast and tea to take to my room and you'd have thought I was speaking a foreign language. There was a hot water urn for water for the tea, but it wasnt hot enough for tea. I had to make the toast and take milk and sugar to my room and boil the kettle there. The shower was a bit dirty, so I think they need to put their specs on the next time they are cleaning and make sure remnants of previous occupants have all been cleaned away.
the staff was very nice and helpful very noisy, the rooms have very thin walls and you can hear what is happening in the next room. there was a wedding in the hotel and the restaurant was closed to the public, also a lot of noise from the wedding. I don't think that this hotel is a 4 star and therefore is far too expensive for what it is
The breakfast was excellent! The staff were friendly and the rooms spacious, clean and well equipped. The doors banging all morning and the fact that you could hear even the toilets flushing above you at the crack of dawn. no chance at all for a lie in at this hotel.
Breakfast, size of bed, decent bathroom creaking fire doors
All was good There was a Wedding Party on the Saturday which, naturally, created a certain amount of noise. But this was expected and nott detrimental.
I liked the friendiless of the staff and also their cheerfulness. Also it was nice and warm in the cold snap that there was.
Location. Relaxed, informal atmosphere. Nice size rooms. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Wasn't keen on the idea of self-service breakfast where the food has been left for a while. Was only offered 1 morning newspaper during our stay. Didn't get a room with a view as advertised. Overpriced for a 3 star rating. No covered area for smokers. Bathrooms could do with being modernised.
The hotel has a feeling of class. The staff are all professional, very helpful & friendly.
Just used as a bed and breakfast bsae.
excellent food - dinner and breakfast restaurant staff were friendly, attentive but not obtrusive. 2 warm nights - it would have been nice to be able to open windows fully
Location of hotel offers an excellent panaramic view of the bay from the bar and dinning /breakfast areas. The staff were curtious and helpful.Accomodation was clean and comfortable. Bathroom in the room contained a sink of the bowl design situate so low that it was dificult to use with overall bathroom space being very tight.
Beautiful view from the restaurant. Free wireless Internet access was limitedto a download maximum.
the staff were really helpful and friendly and the room was wonderful with the best sea views!
The brand new rooms, huge beds, big fluffly towels and the amazing views. The Plasma screen at the end of the bed was quite cool too!
The room was excellent one of the best we have stayed in room 111. Nothing except the view from the room of the car park....
the view was amazing
Comfortable accommodation with spectacular views of the harbour and beaches. Good resturaunt meal from the kitchen but see below for front of house staff grumble. Actually used this trip to propose to my (now) fiance and felt generally very let down by some instances of unfamiliar (almost surly) front of house staff lacking any consideration for hotel guests along with the circumstances of the stay. Waiter wouldn't accomodate an easily managable request for a table with a window view in the resturaunt even whilst tables had yet to be allocated for meal bookings. The explaination offered was these would be allocated on 1st to arrive without distinguishing between non residential and residential bookings or diners! Table bookings were from 7.30pm with ours at 8pm. The waiter said we could take our seat immediately to secure a good table however it was 6.50pm and we were not dressed appropriately after a day walking. An appeal was given with an explaination of the circumstances again which fell on deaf ears from an apologetic but inflexible waiter. Regretable that such a great place and special occasion should be tarnished by this unexpectedly awkward and embarrassing situation.
Great location, nice rooms Poor service in the restaurant. Expensive for what it was
The Spa service was very good. The food and restaurant staff were very good and helpful. Fantastic views out over the village. It helped that we had good weather there were a few gripes about the room - shower was not hot or powerful and was also loose (we did report this to the hotel when we checked out so hopefully they have resolved this).
The gardens of the hotel are exceptional, very comfortable. Owners excellent, very friendly and helpful. Had a baby but due to misunderstanding hotel did not have a cot - this made it difficult to sleep in two single beds.
Breakfast was served at requested time. Requested change of room as original was dark and smelled musty. Alternative Bedroom was small and rather cramped and wash hand basin in en-suite was tiny !
No wifi or internet access although advertised as available. Very small attic room with double bed that left no space between the end of the bed and the desk to get round to put luggage on the stand. Only way to put luggage in the corner was to heave it across the bed. No bedside tables. Unable to sit at the desk as the tv on the wall bracket was above the desk and in the way. Blind on sky light window broken so had to sleep with light coming in. No complimentary toiletries. Had to get tv re- scanned to get all channels. Not worth £50 per night.
We apprecieted the Staff Kindness and the hotel location in the country side with a nice garden. A room is too small for two persons and too dark in the day.
We were made very welcome, we had a good nights sleep as the thick walls meant it was very quiet. Breakfast was very good & they were happy to do an early sitting (06:30 Sunday).
Staff friendly and welcoming Central heating in bathroom leaking, toilet seat loose not fitted properly. See general review below.
Friendly and welcoming. Good centre for touring the beautiful surrounding countryside
Without doubt the very best B&B we have ever stayed in run by the most charming and welcoming hosts we have ever met. Utterly wonderful.
The service was brilliant, we arrived late and were in need of food, the manager booked us into a local resurant and even drove us there and back. the hotel was stunning, we felt totally relaxed after our stay and were dissapointed that we could only stay for one night, a whole weekend there with the countryside and the walks that are available would have been beatuiful!
Lovely manor house in superb location. Interior decor was fantastic - very modern furniture with beautiful tiled floors and contemporary art and ornaments. Our bedroom was very large with plenty of light. Beautiful furnishings and excellent ensuite bathroom. None
The homely feeling in luxurious surroundings
First class in every way. A real treat to be enjoyed again. Highly recommended.
Glangwili Mansion is an amazing getaway location. The hosts are such fabolous people, Peace and tranquillity is the theme throughout this luxurious guest house. The rooms are fantastic with a nice blend of contemporary and modern decor the bed was the most comfortable i've ever slept on and the breakfast was almost overwhelming. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing break.
Excellent throughout None
Beautiful quiet location, clean and well equipt, very comfortable and modern decor, very friendly reception. Also facilities for self catering party if wanted. None
We loved everything! Don't bother with a Hotel - no hotel will beat this! To be honest we were looking for a basic hotel - but there was not many around this area- so because the feedback on the mansion was very good we thought we would spend the extra money. It was so much better than we were expecting - it was just stunning - and ticked every box. We arrived late at night and awoke to blue skies and surrounded by trees in a forest. The rooms were amazing - the hospitality was 5* - you could not ask for anything to be better. People who run their own businesses take more care of their guests and George and Linda were just the perfect hosts you could ever imagine. Well worth every penny for a stay in a 5* accomodation. If I were you pay the extra money for this 5* acomodation - you will not regret it!
Very clean and comfortable aan welcoming
Very friendly staff - spotlessly clean - good food no
Owner very welcoming-friendly family atmosphere and good value. Chef not available at beginning of the week so bar food only although perfectly acceptable-dinner on Wednesday superior when chef there.
Superb food from bar menu. None
Great little find, staff brilliant, roon spotless and modern. food excelient.
Excellent food, accomodation and friendliness of owners nothing
The friendliness of all of the staff
Good frendly service, good food ,frendly staff The bed in no one is very soft on the window side .no mobile reception in room
Cleanliness and excellence of facilities None
Quiet; with pleasent staff No mobile phone reception
The Staff we very nice and always helpful The Bathroom was a in need of a little updating
Ambience. Restaurant - good quality, well cooked and served by pleasant and helpful staff.
Staff very friendly, bedroom had all amenities with towels being changed every day, food very nice. Bar and eating area very nice Fan in bedroom very noisy. Not sufficient lighting in room. Television only had 2 stations Drinks quite expensive hence drinking in different places
The room was clean and a reasonable size. We booked a family room and got three single beds. The matresses were terrible so expect a poor nights sleep. Be aware this is a pub with rooms not a hotel so expect a lot of noise from he bar and outside until late. Also the walls are very thin so expect to be woken up early by someone showering, using the toliet or worse!!
Service and excellent staff in all area's, food was very good, both breakfast and resturant. mattress on bed was passed it's best, but i would stay again if i was in the area.
Food ok but not great. Overall, not good value for money.
The size and comfort of the hotel room was perfect for my one night stay but would also be great for a longer stay. The facilities in the hotel for example the resturant and bar area wee excellent
Room was large as only one available was a family room. Lots of road noise. No shampoo or soap.breakfast items had been cleared before I arrived at 8.30pm- although staff did apologise and breakfast was good once sorted.
The room Size was pretty good! The room and toilet were very clean! Good facilities provided! Wifi Connection was giving problems. The room was at times dark, so could do with more lights!
The varied and well priced menu is just right. Food is served piping hot and is well proportioned. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Free Wifi seemed fast and reliable. Tea and coffee facilities in room. The hotel rooms are in need of refurbishment as carpets are worn and dirty. Ceiling fan or air conditioning required as rooms too hot in evening so window had to be left open for airflow into room but then subject to traffic noise. Decor is dated. Old TV requires replacing as only gives two channels BBC1 and ITV. Hairdryer mounted on wall by TV?? Main ceiling light is too bright for room. This is B & B standard - not hotel standards
Friendly staff. Good breakfast and suppled early on request. Small rooms. I thought I booked en-suite, but we got a bathroom between 2 rooms. As we knew each other, this was ok.
Although the hotel itself was pretty old and tatty, the restaurant and food was excellent. Right next to the railway station and level crossing, opposite two pubs and a social club, was unable to get to sleep until 4'o'clock in the morning due to all night revellers.
Good central location and good value when you just want somewhere to put your head down for the night whilst you visit relatives The booking process was misleading as it takes your credit card details and you think the room is already paid for but it's only taken for reservation and you pay at the time of departure. It caused a bit of embarrassment in the morning as I was walking out just waving goodbye.
Very friendly staff
Evening meals were excellent Breakfasts were always served lukewarm
Comfortable clean room with new furnishings and fixtures. Free parking. Within 4 miles of Tenby. The best scrambled eggs we've had in a long time. Terrific host. Need a comfortable table for computer.
The best scrambled eggs I have ever had. Tv broke down on the second night for no apparent reason, the staff did all that they could to remedy the situatuion and when a replacement could not be found even offered for us to change rooms.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Rooms very clean and tidy with excellent facilities. Large free Car Park. No bad points found
The warmth of welcome and assistance given by the management was very good and most helpful towards an enjoyable stay. Nothing at all
the hotel was excellent, clean, bright, food was very good, the pub/food next door was very handy,a good base for seeing south wales.
This hotel was lovely. The room was large and very clean, the bathroom was huge and fitted with top quality fittings, and the furniture was of high quality too. Breakfasts were excellent and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The adjoining bar/restaurant is not in the same decorative league as the hotel (it is getting revamped soon though apparently to bring it up to the same high standard), but the food and service are both good.
Easy to reach, good staff, good breakfast, very clean, free car parking, No smoking policy Ground floor bedroom nearby the breakfast room with window facing outside walls with no panorama at all, price paid was too high for that bedroom.
Modern, clean rooms and staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Good access for local area. Excellent breakfast.
The quality of rooms rivalled a decent 4* hotel anywhere in the country. None.
Size of room was excellent and very well maintained
comfort of room poor lighting in bathroom
The room was very nice and had good facilities When I arrived I was told that they only had a booking for one person. Thankfully they had rooms available as I was able to show my email confirmation of a booking for 2 rooms. We ate in the bar and the room was very draughty and cold. I got up a couple of times to shut the door through to the reception but the staff kept opening them again.
The friendliness of the staff
I was on my own visiting sick relatives. I felt comfortable and the staff were friendly.
Very clean and friendly. Staff were very helpfull
The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The location of the hotel was good for our particular requirements. The Hotel maintenence staff were very pleasant and most helpful in trying to resolve our issues. Upon arrival there was no heating in the room and this issue was not actally resolved until the final evening of our stay - although the manager did provide each of the 4 rooms booked with portable heaters. I am very sorry but I do not believe that the Hotel should actually be rated as a 4 star!
excellant staff and nice hotel great rooms and fruit salad at breakfast was first class english breakfast poor and the health club very poor
The hotel staff were rude, the man on reception could not understand English or talk it! The hotel had a function on until 02:00am which they forgot to tell us about! Poor poor We had 4 rooms for 4 nights, we will not stay here again.
I liked best how good the staff was and also the quiet environment. I have no complaints
Great scenery, excellent food, nice room with a view fantastic, friendly staff No mobile phone signal at all
Lovely view, quiet. The bed in our double room was extremely hard and low, not very comfortable. Lighting in both our rooms was poor, needs much brighter lights especially in the children's twin room.
Excellent staff - friendly and helpful. Good, locally sourced food, well presented Internet had limited signal also Vodafone signal
Room clean tidy pleasant owners First comment from owners we mainly ownly do weddings
Beautiful location. good food, clean comfortable room The choice on the menu was disappointing
Great family run guest house and great value for money. Karen and Allan were really helpful with lots of useful ideas about the local area. Also picked us up from the train station even though we didn't arrive until after 9:30pm. Plus the cooked breakfast is really worth getting out of bed for. nothing - all was perfect
Very nice and friendly people Our bedroom was seperated from the bathroom - but we understand we were a late booking and had the last available room on a Bank Holiday weekend. There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom - clearly they had plumbing problems because the bidet was not in use.
The owners were very nice, but, it was a guesthouse, not a hotel. The bathroom was mineute. My partner had to sit sideways on the loo.The shower was slow running. The bed was uncomforable, espeically the pillows.
Our hosts were very nice and the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious Not much apart from the bed was a bit hard
Breakfast Our bedroom door and the bathroom door was difficult to unlock from the inside.
the great walks only the price of the room
nothing room small, bathroom tiny, wash basin from cloak room very very dificult to wash and shave, toilet built into wall, etc etc,
weather, location was great (100 to the sea), easy to find on the map and in real, staff members were really nice and helpful, the price was excellent nothing
clean and comfy hotel, good location. we will visit again.
The staff at the guest house were the most friendliest people we have met. The room was fab and the location couldnt have been better. The room was immaculate and we were very at ease there. Would definately recommend this guest house.
