Pros: The house is magnificently decorated, reception was very nice, breakfast was great, location is splendid
Cons: I would have like to dine there but this was not possible. we had to go outside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B is a very private property. We were shown an absolutely charming room, fitted out as a library, on the ground floor with a huge bathroom. You could walk out across the lawn to a lovely view of the river. Our hosts were very gracious, treating us to a sumptuous breakfast of cheeses, homemade yogurt and jams the next morning. Although we did not use it, there was a beautiful pool in the yard as well. We only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer. We highly recommend.
Cons: We were a bit confused when we first arrived. The iron gate entrance had a very tiny sign which we finally discovered, telling us to call a number to obtain admission.

Pros: Lovely place with nice people. Room was beautiful. Very convenient to walking the town and views over the river.
Cons: Parking and getting in and out the gate was tricky. CC machine not working so had to come up with cash.

Pros: After a long drive, arriving through the gates and seeing the view of the Loire, golden in the autumn sunlight was pretty special. Sitting watching the sunset with a bottle of Sancerre was one of the highlights of the holiday. We loved our stay and only wish we had longer. We'll just have to go back! Thanks for looking after us so well.
Cons: It was all perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful location but do ignore the dog who is secured by a chain but will make his presence known. Alain knows how to look after his guests and makes the best breakfast ever. Fresh everything and hand made fruit salad. Home made plain yoghurt. They make a fuss of you on a tray !!! If you think it's chalet then rethink that. It's like a tardis !!! Large room with very large shower room, toilet wash basin. Plenty of room for your luggage and bits. TV the lot and even good internet. You can hear the peace cos there's nothing else to hear !!!!
Cons: You'd be scraping the barrel to find anything you didn't like but if pushed I'd say there was a bird outside in a tree that was singing a bit loud !!!!

Pros: A nice place to stay with nice facilities and hosts.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice and quiet, good location, very friendly hosts. Good choice for a stopover on the way to the south. Tasty breakfast
Cons: The bed in our room was not that long. Our travel party is 1.80m at the most so for us not a problem but if you are longer your toes may peep out.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property was lovely with lots of character. There is plenty of parking at the side, Fabrice and Chantelle welcomed us personally and showed us to our room even though we arrived later than the usual check in time. A simple and very enjoyable breakfast is served including tea and coffee and home made jams. The room was a good size, comfortable, and there was a fan which was great as we visited during a heatwave. Tea, coffee and sweets are provided in the room when you arrive. The room was clean and for us the location was fine as we were visiting for a wedding in a nearby town. Thanks for a lovely stay Fabrice and Chantelle!
Cons: The room was very hot when we arrived, however we left the windows open the next day which cooled it down considerably for our next night’s stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very helpful and spoke very good English they went out of there way and made breakfast for us before 7 o’clock that we could leave at 7 o’clock to catch our ferry back to England.

Cons: We loved everything!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, service and value. Highly recommended, a little paradise in sancerre...
8.8 Excellent
Cons: It would be great if they served lunch or small bites in the afternoon. Also they could create drink facilities at the pool.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, well renovated.
Cons: The attitude of the manager who wouldn’t sell us a bottle of wine from the wine shop to drink in our room. He wanted to charge an extra €15. So we got a bottle from our car. All other staff at the hotel were great but he seemed to have an attitude and was not customer focused
9.5 Excellent
Pros: LOVE the location, rooms very nice, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Terrace rooms are brilliant and the pool is heavenly after a day of wine tasting. Thoroughly fabulous hotel.
Cons: It would be nice to have an ice chest perhaps in the lobby for guests to obtain ice as needed.
7.5 Good
Pros: Same as above. A 1 night stay doesn't give the time for getting to know what's what.
Cons: There wasn't anything specific that I didn't like but I was only staying at the hotel for one night. There wasn't enough time to get familiar with the hotel, it's staff and facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great views, nice swimming pool, overall hospitality and kindness Comfort of the room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location a short walk from the town of Sancerre, with a great view over the rolling hills and vineyards of Sancerre and surrounds. Modern hotel, with clean and up-to-date rooms and a lovely pool area overlooking the vineyards. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Two improvements that would make this a better hotel: A minibar (or at least a fridge) would have been nice! Additionally, the hotel is missing a trick by not offering a poolside drinks service; it would have been lovely to have the option of a cold drink whilst lounging by the pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location, best view of Sancerre. Comfy beds and beautiful hotel. Good facilities and beautiful pool in middle of vineyards... perfect! I’ll return.
Cons: A bit noisy in the rooms, Could hear people in the corridor. Room doors are banging all the time. Should put some stoppers to the doors.

Cons: Be mindful rooms are on two levels and upper one has no elevator.

Cons: This is the second time we've stayed at the hotel and on the first occasion we very much liked the twin bedroom on the first floor. It was spacious and newly decorated. This time we were given a smaller less impressive room on the ground floor and the bed and facilities were less good.

Pros: This is a real Chateau! If you want to see life as it was 100 yaers ago - you must visit it. Ofcourse the property is not in a good condition, it shurely needs renovotion, but it allow you to see the reality of how people used to live - all the furniture is original and the territory is huge and in use by farmers( you can see cows from the window:). The owner - Monique is very nice and friendly lady! We enjoyed the stay very much!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, stunning chateau, friendly owner, delicious breakfast, wonderful room and fabulous view.
Cons: Bed a little uncomfortable.

Pros: Beautiful old chateau decorated very lovingly!
Cons: No restaurant near by(but that’s bad planning on my hand when booking) Taxi to Sancerre ca 40-45€
6.8 Good
Pros: Was quoted €189 but asked to pay € 197
Cons: Cost difference from advertised
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the way the place was not all done up. You experience the reality of living in a chateau in days gone by. There is something to see all around you. Monique is a hard working hands on host with a lovely smile she makes you feel very welcome in her and her families home. We arrived by bicycle so if you do the same stock up on some food for supper and have a picnic in the grounds or go to the local bar where there is a simple menu on offer about 3 kilometers away down a quiet road.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Secluded romantic paradise in the countryside with convenient access to the village of Sancerre. We felt the property offered a unique experience - a glimpse at life in a Chateau in the French countryside with a warm hostess taking care of us. A morning stroll in the garden after breakfast was idyllic. We will be returning for a longer stay as soon as we get the chance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This chateau is a great place to unwind and take the countryside in.
Cons: The wifi was limited to the main entrance, but can be a great thing when you need to unwind and disconnect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted and made so welcome by our hosts. The room was ideal and the view exceptional. We eve had a bath which we were able to wash the dog in, after she had been on a long walk on the estate. Our hosts were most surprised but also delighted that being busy and not around, I had located a fridge for our cheese and a freezer for our freezer block. In fact they were so pleased they gave us two lovely glasses of Sancerre wine. Breakfast was ready in the mornings with fresh coffee, croissants, bread and home made jams. All in all this by far exceeded our expectations and we will return.
Cons: We were only booked in for two days!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The chateau was incredibly interesting - the view from our room in the turret was nothing short of bucolic! Our hostess was charming, and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, even amid such splendid surroundings.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: La Pouillyzotte is nearby the highway. It was perfect for a transitstay (Spain-Netherlands). The dinner, swimmingpool, beds (we had a family room that was really perfect) and breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Because we were going home and had a long drive (leaving Spain early in the morning because you never know how the traffic in France, in this time of the year is), we were at La Pouillyzotte at 4.30PM, but we had to wait 2 hours until we could enter the property)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about La Pouillezotte was wonderful. I thank them very much for their hospitality et bonheursement. The family style dining was a wonderful surprise. A delicious meal that was enjoyed by all.
Cons: There was nothing amiss. Eric et Isabelle were lovely people that greeted us warmly and were able to add 4 cousins to the table with a few hours notice.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were very welcoming and provided a delicious dinner and breakfast in a friendly, family atmosphere with the other guests. We only stayed overnight so didn't have time to use the pool which looked lovely. Our two dogs were made very welcome and loved exploring the large garden. We had a delightful room at the top of a tower.
Cons: We had to climb two flights of steps to our room at the top of the 'tower' which was fine for us as we are able bodied. If you have trouble with stairs it would be worth mentioning this when booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely oasis of calm just minutes from the motorway. Very welcoming hosts provided a drink on arrival and we enjoyed the tasty, convivial dinner with hosts and other guests. Breakfast was outstanding. A fabulous place to break a journey through France. Great for the dog too - lovely path alongside the Loire for morning walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean hotel. Our room was superb. Breakfast was excellent too. We used the pool and gardens. Owners very friendly and hospitable. We will be returning to this gorgeous hotel.
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Cons: Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming, very friendly and exactly what we was looking for at the beginning of our journey.
Cons: We liked it all - very cultural
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply all that should be done well, is. Isabelle and Eric are as good as can be. Always willing to make your stay better, yet never an obvious presence. The room was spotless, and we have stayed in many, many places. The rooms are totally fine and functional for any short stay. The continental breakfast with choice of cereal, pastries and eggs all hit the spot. If like us, you were visiting the region for wine or just passing through. La Pouillyzotte nails it in every way.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Isabella and her husband are excellent hosts. The property is well appointed and the facilities very good. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent and puts many restaurants to shame - it could not be faulted in any way. The gated grounds are secure and with our own remote control we could come and go freely at our own convenience. No worries about our car being broken into .... The price charged represents excellent value for money and the property is an excellent base for exploring the local area. In the hot weather of July 2018 the swimming pool was greatly appreciated to cool down after a long hot drive. Everything about the property met my expectations for cleanliness and hygiene - I know how difficult is it to keep a pool clean and welcoming.
Cons: There is nothing that we didn't like about the property. However, we chose to stay a night when both restaurants in Pouilly-sur-Loire were closed so had to travel to Sancerre to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, breakfast, dinner, location, hospitality, friendliness of owners, beautiful grounds Altogether I would highly recommend this b& b to anyone

7.0 Good
Pros: Very hospitable welcome and the bed and breakfast is located in a quiet environment not too far from Sancerre and Bué, which was the purpose of our detour. Bonuses for kids are definitely that they can go and see the animals and there's a playground with a bouncy castle. We had one of the 2-bedroom suites on the upper floor, which was ample sized and comfortable. The breakfast is served downstairs and it was delicious, offering also local cheeses.
Cons: It was very hot that day and there is no air-conditioning, so it was quite hot in the room. Luckily we had anti-mosquito ointment so we could sleep with the windows open. During the night we heard mice in the roof, which I guess is not abnormal in a farm environment and when we mentioned this at breakfast they reacted friendly to this remark. Unfortunately one of these crawlies managed to travel with us in the course of the next day and popped out of our backpack during one of the stops. As you can imagine, this gave us quite the scare.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: we enjoyed the animals
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Having cycled 90+ miles and arriving a little later than expected, I was met by a friendly, helpful lady who showed me to the block of rooms where I was the only occupant at the time. My room was clean & a good size with a small shower room & toilet. There was a communal kitchen area with fridge available for guest use. Also a lounge area with TV & tables. The lovely lady opened the farm shop for me & guided me to some great goat cheeses (the farm's speciality), bread & local beers for my evening repast which I took at the outdoor seating area overlooking the orchard and fields. Breakfast was great & plentiful taken in the pleasant lounge.
Cons: The room had a shuttered window which unfortunately let flies in by the score so much of my evening was spent ridding my room of these annoying creatures before getting any sleep. It also meant I was unable to get any ventilation in on a night with overnight temperatures into the 20's c.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: big room, nice view with beautiful sunrise, nice bed, delicious goat milk and cheese at breakfast. Region of wood firing kilns. 17km from the village La Borne, centre of ceramic potters.
Cons: Shower cabin is too small to be comfortable. it needs to be renovated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice for kids! Attentive staff, idyllic place, sensational breakfast!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was our third visit and the welcome was as friendly as always, beds are really comfortable and breakfast is simple but filling, especially if you like goats cheese which comes fresh from the adjoining farm.
Cons: Nothing
