The building is very nice and unique in its design. We stayed in 1 bedroom villa which was very spacious and comfortable. The person in the front desk told us that we dont need to reserve a place in the hotel's restaurant for dinner, but in the end we were very dissapointed because there was no place for us.
The position and tranquilty of the hotel, such an impressive building One of the best hotels I have visited
Being originally a monastery the building was most interesting and had been converted to a good standard of comfort. There was no porterage so we had to manage our suitcases without assistance although there was a luggage lift which we required assitance from the staff to know how to work. Also, the meal in the dining room was so unsatisfactory we sent it back. To be fair we were not charged for it and were offerred an altrnative which we declined as the first two courses were so unacceptable we could not believe that any other would be any better. The people at the next table had also not eaten their meal as they found it unsatisfactory too.
The quietness of the place combined with excellent service and friendly personell. Also the possiblity to explore the Pyrenees.
Lovely building and decor. Bar and dining room staff great. Where do I start? 202 euros per night and all apparently to pay for the renovation costs and works of art. Had to pay 22 euros each just to use the jacuzzi pools-couldn,t this be included in the huge room price? Also swimming hats compulsory-another 7 euros each! Had to book a time and have an hour. Had to change in room and go through hotel in bathrobes even though there are changing rooms in the spa. Had to use pools, showers and saunas in the order and manner dictated by staff. You are stuck at the hotel as it is a long walk into Boltano, which looks horrible. Kept waiting to check in and out by sole receptionist being constantly on phone
Peace and quiet. Lack of help for non spanish speaking customers. We speak english and french
This is a superb hotel. The rooms were excellent, the public areas also, The cafeteria was very relaxing, the staff very good. Breakfast was excellent. TYhe downside was the restaurant. We had dinner there and althought the staff were very good indeed, the actual meal was disappointing. There was something not freshly cooked about it. Dinner, as above. That is all. This is a special hotel.
The design of Hotel. The breakfast. The location of the Hotel and the nature of vicinity. The design of Vilas. The manner of the staff. The resturant working time and capacity was very limited and strange for a 5 star hotel. Internet was available in the room but not WiFi and the cable to connect to the laptop was not available. The menu of room service was very poor. There were no shelter for parking.
This is a stylish and relaxing hotel enjoying excellent views amongst beautiful countryside. Ainsa is a pretty nearby town.
I appreciate that tourists should try to speak some of the lingo but some English menus would have been very helpful.
The beautifully appointed room, with lovely views, a balcony, comfortable bed and sofa, nice bathroom, air-conditioning, good-quality cotton sheets and towels, the mini-fridge, double-glazing to keep out any noise, and the delicious, ample breakfasts. No
Everything! The areas was a lovely interlude after more hectic parts of Spain. I was extremely comfortable, there was nothing better than lying on the huge comfortable bed looked out through the balcony to the beautiful vista. The location allows access to the Pyrennes and great countrside. Restaurants in the area provide pleasant reasonably priced meals. The language barrier did not stop the proprietors from providing great service. I think reviews on this hotel have not reflected its serenity, beauty, and that it is a magnificent stay when travelling through northern Spain.
A really nice small hotel. Exceptionally well restored old building in a medieval town. Great position right on the (quiet) town square.
The hotel was beautiful, the pool was a refreshing surprise, the restaurant had a vegetarian menu, and the location was perfect -- right next to the cathedral. Management rules for use of the pool were ridiculous: 20 Euros deposit for each towel??? Mandatory bathing cap for ladies, which had to be purchased at the front desk??? This is the mark of a manager that has no experience at a luxury hotel.
Good service, nice rooms.
The bedroom and bathroom were very stylishly decorated. Very comfortable. Wireless Internet access would have been good, instead of by a cable. Also ideally a english news channel - World service??. Otherwise excellent
Really nice and friendly staff and the room was gorgeous, only stayed for one night but wished it could be longer!
What a beautiful location in Ainsa! And what a beautiful little hotel! We had a lovely time there!
Gorgeous, atmospheric design, excellent location on the main Plaza at medieval Ainsa.Only a short drive to one of the National parks. The son of the owner showed us the celler and explained the renovation. Nice breakfast.Quiet and romantic rooms.Probably great for honeymooners. Athough the service was fine, and the hotel is beautifully renovated, the hotel seems overpriced: Ainsa in September is a ghost town. There is little reason to stay there for more than one night.Only one of the two good restaurants was open for dinner. Boring.
This hotel experience was simply great! The innkeepers, Sylvia and her partner were very helpful and always going out of their way to help Americans who spoke very little Spanish. We would certainly return again and would recommend this hotel to friends. We stayed two extra nights we liked the hotel so well! None.
A lovely place, very peaceful, Good food and service, The air conditioning was not that good. it could have been better.
My in-laws stayed there at the end of August. Very happy with it. Very relaxing. For people having difficulty with a lot of steps: getting to the lower ground restaurant for evening meals means they have to take the lift to that level then follow a short route through the Banqueting room. (Not in use that night) The staff were very helpful about this but it did seem to be a flaw in the design.
Clean room, breakfast buffet ok. Tierra de Biescas is a rather big hotel, somewhat impersonal. The materials used inside have a somewhat cheap look. For us the hotel lacks some character, de dining room is not very cosy. The employees are doing there job but a bit on an unresponsive way. No aircondintioning and this for a 4 star hotel. One can also hear the neigbours talking trough the wall!
the swimming pools, the rooms and the hotel. The restaurant has a good quality / price ratio. The staff was very helpful and nice. Gym not so great (hot, not great machines).
Lovely hotel. Great restaurant. Lovely areas for reading both in and outside. Stayed 2 nights could have stayed longer! No.
Quiet location with delightful views. Good country walks. Lavatories off bathroom were a bit small. Rooms got stuffy quite quickly even using the thermostatically controlled room- conditioning facility.
The design of the hotel and rooms is beautiful. We had a double room which was too small. The bathroom was in the same space as the bedroom with only a glass partition. The fitness room is joke - it is situated in a corridor leading to the sauna and is not airconditioned so the heat makes it impossible to use. The restaurant is unpleasnat and the food was disappointing. It could be a very good 3 star hotel but doesn't justify 4 stars.

Excellent hotel -great food, very friendly staff and beuatiful little village
Friendly staff, excellent dinner, fun fitness suite/pool, great views, good location. a bit pricey at £200 for one night.
Hotel Turmo is set in a quiet countryside location with fabulous mountain views. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is good country cooking and plenty of it. No
Second visit confirms 'Excellence' and 'Conviviality' are the keywords here for cleanliness; bed size and comfort; meals quality, variety & value and staff delivery. Ample free parking. Will return! Nada, solo demasiado lejos de Almeria.
Comfortable room, with nice balcony overlooking the hills off the Pyrenees. Very peaceful. Great initiative to make the room soundproof from hallway noise: there is an extra door before entering the actual bedroom. We were by motorbike and the hotel made at our disposal a spot for free in a safe big underground garage. Cleaning staff has tried to enter the room a couple of times before check out time.
By far the cleanest hotel on our trip & location convenient if traveling with a car.
The room was basic but equipped with all we needed. very clean. excellent value for money. Close to Ainsa, to the ordesa national park (about an hour to Torla). The room was a bit cold but the staff immediatly brought a radiator to our room.
good value. warm welcome .good food. comfortable room
Excellent value for money, the meals were huge and the hotel and bar very comfortable. Private garage supplied for the motorbikes at no extra charge. Not much English spoken, but the staff tried very hard. Very difficult to find fault with this budget hotel.
The hotel has a cafe/bar that is open to non-residents. It appears to be a popular place for the locals but wasn't too noisy. First impression when arriving was that this is an average hotel but the room exceeded this and is one of the better ones I've stayed in. An the bed was enormous and easily big enough for three - its a pity I was alone. At first, there was a little difficulty finding someone who spoke English but I partly blame myself - I should have learnt more than just 'Hola'. As a result nobody explained when and where breakfast would be served.
The cleanliness and the friendly staff
More than lived up to it's review rating - modern & spotless, big comfortable bed, excellent menu - in quality, variety in courses and price, with amiable staff. Safe parking. Hearty breakfast - sets you up for the day. Excellent location to tour the region. Less cigarette smoke in the bar would be good - but also used by locals.
This was a delightful find! It is far enough off the beaten track that it is a destination, probably not a one-night stopover. Yet we found our one night there to be a treat.
An superb hotel with very friendly staff set in a most beautiful area of the Pyrenees. Be aware that their is no restaurant at the hotel for evening meals but there are numerous restaurants located in the nearby village of Torla some 15 minutes walking distance.
Owners were very helpful - even dried our hiking boots after we got caught in a heavy rain storm.
Good, generous breakfast before headed off hiking for 2 days. Staff not friendly at all. Also a dead mouse in the pool for over 3 days shows a lack of attention to detail! Torla is a great place but also a travelator for trekking tourism to the Pyrenees. Hotel Ordesa it seems does not have to engage with tourists to operate a successful hotel business. Would stay in another hotel closer to Torla next time.
Helpful staff. Could not get WiFi to work.
Beautiful location; comfortable hotel; good food.
We liked the surroundings very much and the pool was nice. We also liked the breakfast buffet. We thought the staff, especially at the reception was not friendly. There was no greeting and we thought the staff was friendly to the Spanish guests but not to us. We felt quite unwelcome.
Big and clean rooms, quiet, free wireless Internet, great location
Location and standard of room were excellent
Bad acoustics, ew heard every word spoken in the next room. Shower head broken
good hotel with very good bedroom
the view and th way the hotel looks.the stuff. I didn't check first so... there is no one to blame . the spa was close during my visit
In the centre of Ainsa. It provided a comfortable bed for the night. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Plenty of Restaurants nearby. The entrance to the supposedly secure Car Park managed to damage 2 out of 3 bikes in our party because of the severe camber on either side of the gate track. They were so badly damaged our friends couldn't continue their holiday. The Air Conditioning unit in my room leaked so badly it flooded the bedroom within one hour. Only one member of Staff really tried to help and liaise with us. The Bar / Cafe within the hotel (open to the public) was very rough & ready.
Friendly staff very relaxed atmosphere the hotel is very much part of the community ,large public bar/cafeteria and while the description says it has no parking there is parking
Nice room with good view of river No restaurant, bar is smokey
Clean and modern rooms
Good for older part of Isaba. Map of where this was hopelessly out as to where the hotel actually is
Cleanliness, convenience, attitude and helpfulness of staf and price None
Nothing partcicularly. The open smoking policy. The entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. In addition, to have a breakfast included in the hotel price that was held in an open smoking public bar was unacceptable in the extreme. Spain needs to get themselves out of the middle ages in smoking policy.
we found it had very helpful staff, the room was very clean, warm and comfortable. secure car parking. ideal stop over for France/Spain.
The accommodation was above average, loved the duplex layout.
pleasant experience, wonderful location near the National Park, quaint old town, nice breakfast.
A lovely large room with a balcony and view over the square. Clean modern bathroom. An excellent breakfast. Compared with others we stayed in it was over-priced.
Los Arcos is a boutique hotel in a boutique village with a plethora of good restaurants. Our room was comfortable and quiet even though looking over the main square. There is very good accessibility to the Pyrenees countryside and excellent walks. Our host was very friendly and made the stay a real pleasure. The breakfast was basic and below the standard expected in a hotel of this quality.
We had only one night and so could not form a fair opinion, but everything about it was above our expectations
Hotel is situated in the main pedestrianised plaza of this mediaeval fortified village above the main town of Ainsa. Bedrooms are large enough, ensuite facilities very good, no evening meal but plenty of restaurants/bars in the vicinity. Breakfast taken in the vaulted ceilinged basement at a large communal table. Wonderful panoramic views.
The desk clerk spoke English and she was very polite, free guest computer access, nice continental breakfast served to us in the dining room, rooms and hotel very attractive, attention to detail in furnishings. Dining room allowed smoking, so we did not eat there for dinner.
Seven (7) stars ******* service. Hotel staff very very friendly, always want to help. Large and comfortable rooms. Tasty breakfast.
Great place to stay to explore Parque Nacional de Ordesa. Pleasant town to walk around. The dinner was excellent None.
Attractive, very clean hotel, inside and out. Near Ordesa Park, well placed for excursions and walking. Staff extremely friendly and efficient. Food very good and reasonably priced. We have no criticism of this hotel.
General ambiance; general friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; excellent food; comfort of the room. Smoking was allowed in the dining room which made breakfast time especailly very unpleasant.
Welcoming, spotless, well-equipped though simple, all in excellent condition. Food perfectly acceptable and all reasonably priced. Excellent secure garage. No
Good food, friendly helpful staff, clean and well maintained. Building work across the road very noisy
very nice as a start point for Pyrenees discovery. Hotel is cozy, clean. Breakfast can be improved: toasts and jam, croissons and cofe are not enough especially if you are going for a long track.
We’ve stayed in bedroom with sitting room, it was cozy, clean and nice decorated with view to the mountains. The restaurant was good value for money. The people were kind and helpful. No
The rooms are very nice and clean and the staff is perfect The continental breakfast is very poor and unattractive
Convenient location with secure parking. Welcoming, basic but comfortable and clean with good breakfast. Price very fair.
Clean comfortable rooms, very helpful and courteous staff. Very good breakfast spread for an extra charge (worth it I think). Location is good - just over the bridge from town (5 min walk), and 20 min walk or so from the upper Old Town. Ainsa is a great base for hikes in the nearby National Park (though be prepared for very narrow and winding mountain roads to get to the trailheads).
Good location with walk up to the walled part of the town. Reasonable price
Good views None
The location was excellent, easy to find and the welcome very good after a long journey. As a 2 Star hotle I found the facilities excellent and would stay again. I can think of none on our stay
Friendly staff. Having a fridge in the room weas a definite plus. Well positioned for visiting the Ordesa National Park. Nasty smell of drains in the bathroom only stopped by keeping the plug in the bidet.
The room was relatively large and it had a comfortable couch and other useful accessories. The breakfast wasn't worth to its price.
Centrally located. Good staff, plenty of good parking secure parking Would be better if breakfast was included in the room rate
The location of the hotel was excellent for hiking tours around the Aragon region. The personnel of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Not very much to mention bad points, but the breakfast and especially dinners were slight disappointments - there were better places in Ainsa to eat in the evenings.
Easy parking and good location. Restaurant reasonable and food good. restaurant didn't open until 9pm and then bar was shut when we had finished.
The views, the location, the peace and quiet, and the possibility for our young children (3 and 5) to run around noisily without anybody objecting. The "double" bed was not in fact a double bed - it was two single beds on castors, which slid apart easily when one moved on the bed. This was a bit inconvenient...
