the food was excellent hotel service was superb a very relaxing place to stay would reccomend it liked everything
Staff were helpful and accommodating. Laid out very early breakfast for three Peaks walkers Expensive
Friendly polite staff, fabulous location, beautiful decor and wonderful restaurant.
very pleasant atmosphere-staff really helpful -food excellent-decor good-moulton brown toiletries bathroom small & bath could have done with replacement-
Everything, food, staff hospitality, everything The food was excellent but slightly expensive
The food and service was outstanding based in an idyllic setting, perfect base for walking. The room was standard in terms of cleanliness and the shower room was somewhat cold
Loved the sitting rooms with sofas and good quality board games and lots of books to read. Also the trouble taken to ensure we had suggestions for local walks with maps and guide books. Cramped bathroom.
The interior of the hotel was fabulous! Very clean and luxurious. The bed was amazing, the most comfortable nights sleep I have had in a long time. Very expensive to eat or have a drink at the bar. I did book a superior room on the website only to be telephoned by the hotel to inform me that this was unavailable and would have to have a standard double. However, the standard double was perfectly acceptable and still luxurious.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel comfortable and homely, food excellent, lots of local and homemade produce, wine reasonably price and good choice of organic wines. Bowl of fruit, bottled water as well a range of different teas and fresh milk. Room in need of decoration, but we didn't have the room we had originally booked as we had to change our plans at the last minute. Ground coffee in the room but no peculator to make it in.
Comfortable and extremely clean. Excellent service from staff with exceptional attention to detail. Fabulous food. Just like staying with friends!
Exceptional location and attention from the sdtaff None - the road works outside were beyond your control [and aere an overall benifit to the area]
Great location, good atmosphere, great food, nice warm room and friendly staff. Adjacent to our room there was a noisy boiler/heating system which woke us very early.
Lovely b&b, rooms very clean and breakfast very tasty. I booked a twin room, however we were given a double, I advised we had booked a twin and they gave us our own room at no extra cost.
Recently refubished, lovely atmosphere, combines the good points of staying in a pub and staying in an hotel. My reservation didn't seem to be there at check-in, but appeared later. However this was not a problem.
Friendly staff Good food Nice room A lot of road traffic noise
as above Size of room
The owners Pat & Lynn were so helpful and friendly and instantly made you feel at home. The breakfast was excellent, everywhere was immaculately clean, all in all excellent value for money.
All of it. the weather lol
The hotel staff were very pleasant people, the facilities were good. The bathroom was extremely small- containing a shower and toilet..but lets justsay one thing, good job we weren't fat! If you like spacious bathroom facilities this isnt the place to go unless you want to look at one wall and turn to the next and look at another :) The map also showed that the B&B appeared to be much closer than it was. A taxi cost about £7 one way and if your walking it's about 2 miles.
Pleasant staff and lovely room.
Friendly, welcoming, clean and good value for money
The hosts were very friendly and we had no complaints at all N/A
felt like part of the family.
Pat & Lynn were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean. Should really be advertised as a b&b rather than a hotel, the room was rather small
i enjoyed the company of the hotel staff they gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel right at home.
we were very happy to have stayed at the blackpool and would would recommend to my friends and family after seeing the hotel on : hotel inspector: we didnt know what to expect but we were very glad we came to blackpool and the hotel
the staff were friendly and welcoming
Close to town centre
the location was excellent. was concerned after booking, when unfavourable reviews were read via websites. concerns not realised, although the rooms we had need alot of tlc. showing signs of age. breakfast could be earlier at weekend. 9 am too late for me.
the location was good central to town when booked hotel was called the kenbury someone should have told it had changed name
nothing checked out a day early the room was too small and the heat was unbearable the facilities were not as described and wish to formally complain as this was not worth the money that was paid and not a true representation of photographs posted on the website
I stayed at the Blackpool with my daughter last weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were so pleasant and helpful. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Blackpool and this is the first one that I would definately return to. Bar closed a bit early on Saturday night.
i loved the fact it was so close to the bars but far enothgh not to here the noise there was nothing we did not like every thing was parfect
Location, location, location !
Welcoming friendly courteous man, happy to supply things that werent in the room. Lovely view from room. Only 1 small towel supplied. Room had litter & dust under beds.Bathroom ceiling tile loose, blind panels missing, windowsill dirty. No teaspoons. Breakfast - food not freshly cooked, orange juice very watery.
did not enjoy the stay never met the owner didnt have proper heating or hot water, no tv no breakfast no bar no restaurant. as above
The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly, always on hand if you had any problems.
The parking! Had 3 different rooms, 1st one was wrong booking and given a double rm, second the window seal was non existent and room freezing 3rd room ok, although television not working, shower barely warm with no power, sweet wrappers on floor.
Good friendly staff, Lovely breakfast. Rooms abit small, View wasn't the best looking into another room.
Car parking Small room sh ower needed a very good clean. Breakfast poor.hotel also smelt of cigaretes and smoke this is not a good advert for the hotel
the room was good size beds comfey was ok
Friendly staff and a good location, far enough away from the town centre to be quite peacefull. Very good location for anyone wanting to spend time in the Pleasure Beach. Fire alarm going off at 4am, probably due to a guest returning from the night clubs and having a smoke. Alarm cancelled very quickly.
None No one about to even check you in had to wait for breakfast we all felt a bit silly just sitting in the dining room till someone noticed we were there .
The situation The decor was very tired and dated. The food was stuck in a time-warp and appeared to owe a lot to the microwave
The 4-poster bed was a surprise. the room was great and the food godd and also cheap. Slightly scruffy parts to the room, but only fair wear and tear really.
Generally very good, good location, friendly and helpful staff and nice room and good food and beer!
The relaxing atmosphere. Nothing.
The effort of the owners and their communication of their staff. The hotel is also adjacent worderful walking country
location Room was a mismatch of colours carpet frayed not good value for money everything looks very tired and in need of new decoration and new bedlinen curtains etc
I was there for a specific purpose and, hence, necessity G&T was £3.10. Ouch!
The location - excellent for walkng into the surrounding area Run down, more of a pub with rooms, in need of full refurbishment, bored staff, dirty room, decoration peeling off, mould in bath sealant, the worst value for money hotel I've stayed in. should be £50 tops
The friendly staff who made our stay run smoothly
breakfast was very nice no comment
Friendly recpetion, very close to attractions and pleasure beach smell of curry throughout, poor breakfast - no choice, low quality (both in taste and appearence)
the friendlyness of the staff and the location the carpet could have been cleaner and no toilet roll on arrival
this hotel runs by young couple. they very nice and friendly. room is clean spotless.there breakfast time at 9:00 to 9:30 but we wanted to leave early so we asked for breakfast at 8am and they provided.that was very nice. location and price is best of this hotel to stay in blackpool. i will recommend all my friends for south crest hotel.
the owners were helpful,good location,nice breakfast,no meters
Didn't like the way you book it never noticed that you have to pay another 50% when you arrive they added on £58 when we got there
The hotel looks onto the seafront and is great for seeing the illuminations The hotel decor is tired, facilities limited, breakfast poor and all rather dirty, sheets were clean though!
I liked the location and the car parking The ensuite was very small. The shower had no hot water and we had to use the shower next door. The bathroom was filthy. The beds were not made up during our stay
Friendly service, good breakfast. Not much space in room.
