The new restaurant is fantastic. Traditional Norwegian dishes with a modern twist. Clean, modern comfortable room. Happy to have wooden floor with no carpeting. Very attentive staff and excellent service. Very welcoming atmosphere! It was surprising how many people who worked there did not speak Norwegian.
The best choice of dished on breakfast. It was not so pleasant to find out that there's no booking for all 3 rooms and after that we have opportunity to estimate the "smoking rooms" in spite of no smoking had been reserved yet. Never try to stay in "smoking rooms".
Everything, excellent breakfast.
Julie. There was one fantastic clerk who, being so terrific, made up for a lot of hotel mistakes. She called around town to help me book a New Year's Eve celebration, and helped me arrange to have mail delivered. She was among the best hotel representatives I've ever encountered. The hotel messed up the reservation. They had me listed as one night instead of two and so did not make up my room. They gave me a bit of a run-around canceling my room key also and overcharged me. When I called they corrected the charge. It is still a great hotel... largely because of Julie, but on the whole the staff was quite personable and caring.
Staff was very helpful, friendly and pleasant. Breakfast is very good. The location of the hotel near the harbour and the (old) centre is all within walking distance, thus very good for us with a young child. Public transport and restaurants are also close to the hotel. This hotel would benefit from an extensive refurbishment. Bathroom was quite small. In general, this hotel is definitely suitable for a few days (city trip).
Great location and nice and warm. Great choice at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful Looks a bit dated now and need a refurb as I stayed her in 2001 and it was still looking smart then
Coming with small kits, we have immediately received an upgrade to a superior room - bigger and more spacious; excellent breakfast with lots of choice of health food; superbe location in downtown Bergen - everything can be reached by foot bar/restaurant as well as room service close food/kitchen at 10PM.
comfotable dirty under the beds:
Seems OK to me - I did have little time to sample anything special coming in late and leaving early, so here are some points: A. Ok room B. Quiet - slept well. C- Nice breakfast D.Good parking. E- Nice staff
The room was very clean and the location could not have been better. Able to see the city of Bergen by foot from this hotel. A bit warm at night in the room as air conditioner was not all that effective
We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the train station. It is a large facility with 20+ floors and good views over the city. Very disappointed we were not able to have dinner in the top of the facility because it's closed on Sunday. The entrance to the hotel was uninviting - dirty, stained concrete, looks across at another large building, very little greenery or flowers in a country that usually has spectacular displays. The only dining facility open during our stay was the bar - open to the lobby. It carpet was soiled and stained. The huge breakfast buffet included many items and for the entire time we were there it was swarming with people. Tables were not cleared for 20-30 minutes, it was difficult to find a staff person to bring coffee. Most of the food looked mediocre or tired. Really. Expected more from Radisson. My husband insists we go back to Hiltons.
The location is great. The staff in general was very nice 1)the swimming pool doen't look veryappealing. 2) the hotel looks very classy on the website but not very much in reality 3) bread crumbs on the dark carpet in the breakfast launge makes the place look very dirty
The breakfast was excellent. Yes, there was no soap in the room. Had to go to the reception which first had to verify before bringing the soap.
Friendly staff, big rooms, big and comfortable beds, exellent location, good breakfast
The location of the hotel Nothing
Friendly staff, and the hotel is very well situated...very good services too... no, everything was fine...
Breakfast; proximity to the city center The hotel is old and ill maintained; the staff tends to provide wrong information; bad smell often spreads in the corridors
The breakfast was extremely good! We were sleeping on the second floor. Unfortunatly there is a club playing on the lower floor behind the main reception. It was quite difficult to sleep in the evening due to the noise.
Location. Cleanliness of room, lack of attention to request i.e. I requested an elevated room, what I actually got was a room on the first floor with a view of the ugly roof. Staff were not very friendly or helpful.
The room was not made up on one day even after the desk had been informed. There was an attempt to overcharge me although this was rectified once I produced some documentation.
Bed is very confortable over the average and people are very helpful and polite Rooms have quite old furniture not in line with price
The pillows I would like some more variation for breakfast
The proximity to Bergen airport was great. The hotel itself was visually interesting and well designed. My husband did not feel well in the morning and the receptionist let us keep the room for more time. The breakfast buffet was good and varied. My husband did not like the windows that did not open for fresh air. I thought that the generous use of glass walls for the bathroom did not allow enough privacy even though the effect was very modern.
Friendly staff, nice design, clean and convenient Food is not excellent
proximity to the airport and the general upkeep of the facilities the bathroom was too contemprary (transparent). could not use it while there was someone else in the room.
Hotel was located just next to the Airport. Breakfast was very good.
The room with the excellent views
The location of the hotel is ideal for airport or heliport stopovers. The rooms are clean and reasonably sized with good TV and free wi-fi. The buffet breakfast was also good. The evening menu in the restaraunt was a bit limited and the atmosphere was poor - just a large empty space.
The hotel was very clean and modern with nice rooms. Staff were friendly and efficient and the location is perfect for an airport stopover. I did expect 24 hour room service from an airport hotel as there wasn't much available when our flight arrived after 11pm. I would also have liked a better selection of toiletries in the bathroom. Also there was no bacon or toaster at breakfast.
Easy access to the Airport Restaurant was very very expensive even by Norwegian standards.
the general good quality of hotel and staff
The hotel is walking distance from the airport and ideal for early flight departures or late arrivals. The hotel breakfast is fantastic with pretty much everything you need (and more). Dinners were very well prepared and tasty. Everyone speaks English, so you can get by quite easily. It is expensive. But not far removed from the wider Norway prices I suppose. Norway is an expensive place to visit.
In general everything was quite nice about the hotel. Although it is labeled as a budget hotel, it felt quite comfortable and the room was clean and not too small. Quite good location, about 10 min walk to ferry terminal, and about 20 min walk to bus terminal. Breakfast spread was quite good and generous. The staff at the reception can only be described as less than pleasant (not to the extent of unpleasant, but not pleasant). If they had been more friendly and helpful, this hotel would be considered very very good.
Good location, comfortable clean rooms and exceptional value. I will most certainly stay here again.
clean, warm, comfortable. breakfasts great. superb location
very convenient location. Internet access was free, which was very helpful....but coffee was not...misleading information from hotel. excellent breakfast. there was a problem over flights due to a strike and one receptionist was very helpful indeed it said coffee was available all day, it implied that it was free.
Breakfast was excellent despite refurbishment works.Room was quiet. Could have done with additional easy chair in room and also tea making facilities which in winter would be much appreciated
The location and that it was very inexpensive. The breakfast was also good and with enough varieties of different foods offered. I asked for a harbour view and at first did not like not getting this. I also think the hotel is a little run down, but the price perhaps reflects this.
delicious breakfast nice stay nope
It was very cold and uncomfortable smoking outside.

The situation was very good, near the center and Bryggen. The breakfast buffet was copious. The rooms are small. There is no safety box or fridge in the room. The building is some old. No possibility to reserve an extrabed by booking.com, so we added it as a comment but they didn't pay attention to our comment and the place was very small for an extrabed and no other room available.
It is located close to the airport. Old rooms with poor quality bathrooms.
Excellent staff, good price, nice swimming pool and sauna, tasty breakfast, cozy room cleaning in room was not so good...
The kindness and professionalism of the people at the reception desk Windows did not open, the lady at breakfast not allowing only "some" tourists not to attend the hall with any bags.
friendly and accommodating hotel staff the room smelled musty and the shower drains did not drain well
The hotel and room were very comfortable and the reception staff were very helpful. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. The evening meal had a limited choice for vegetarians and there was no room service. There was not a hairdryer in the room this had to be requested and I did not notice this until it was actually needed. It would be useful for an airport hotel to have plenty adapters for international plugs.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Difficult and expensive to get to from the airport, no courtesy transport which was very surprising for an airport hotel.
Clean. Convenient for airport. Noisy. TV very limited. Beds not too comfortable.
A nice hotel. However - the TV did not work first, and it was no wastepin at the room. But the room was very nice
quiet and nearby the airport. yes, the food quality is not great specially dinner. In addition, the quality of the beds is not good, it is too soft and not healthy.
Close to the airport, had early flight Price
Central, good price
The Room was too small and no place even to keep my baggage
Exellent location (in the centre of Bergen). Comfotable rooms. We had a problem with parking place because all of it was allready occupied.
nothing food was poor, staff was somber and barely cooperative
My room was quiet and the location of the hotel was excellent.
Good location Bathroom was so small I had to use the toilet on the ground floor
Friendly staff at the reception, good location Breakfast was poor, the breakfast area was too small, tables were cleaned much too slow
Good location, breakfast. Some construction on the top floor. Price!!!
Clean odd shaped room, Bathroom didn't have an electrical outlet for a curling iron.
Great staff, good breakfast. Noisy construction across the street should have been disclosed at reservation web site.
We liked the new refurnished superior room that we got. The breakfast was good too.
Not really quiet, there are Bars around the hotel, The coffee tastes awfull.
Loved the old wooden floors and location. We had stayed smaller places for two weeks so rooms seemed large in comparison. A small bottle of wine was 130 kroner. Breakfast was crowded and frantic.
Alexander up at the front desk was very helpful. He answered all our questions, and was eager to help us out. Breakfast was also very nice. Its a small thing, but they had actual half and half for the coffee, which is hard to find sometimes. Late checkout charge for an hour.
Location and quality of the accommodation - room was excellent and just a little 'quirky' which we enjoyed. Maid service was a bit erratic and a request to replace two broken light bulbs was not followed up.
Location-Central to the major attractions and reasonably close to the train station(15' walk). Staff were extremely helpful in booking taxi's and securing a dinner reservation The proximity to the nightlife made it a little noisy at night. Awakened at 4AM Saturday morning by the pubs and bars emtying out on the streets below my room
location is good for us. many sightseeing place ,for example Brryge, fish market, ferry-port, and cable-train station, are within 5-minutes walk. Therefore we could rest at Hotel during sightseeing in daytime. Even though in central, it was quiet in night at least the days we stayed. Expensive.
The penthouse suite was lovely with a shared roof terrace, it had really comfortable beds, and good sized room. Some of the staff were really helpful especially Andrew on reception he was always polite and got everything we asked for, he should be the trainee manager and not trainee receptionist. The location was excellent close to the fish market and all the boat trips, tourist bus etc We ate one night in the resteraunt and the food was very good and not too expensive for Norway. We booked penthouse suite for our seven night stay, but thier was a mix up on the booking so we staying first night in the penthouse then had to move out to the business suite for one night then back into the penthouse. The hotel reception staff apart from Andrew and one other female receptionist were not very efficient or friendly, we had to ask on three consecutive days to have our tea and bath gels to be replenished. The rooms were not cleaned thourouly and dirty glasses were left un washed.
I got what I expected. In the room, the window showed bad maintance
friendly, very clean sleeping room, perfect localisation, no noises breakfast was very norwegian, one type cheese (the cheap one), cheap black coffee...; sauna did not work, the chairs in the breakfast area were dirty
Old world Charm in modern value priced hotel. The breakfast selection wonderful. N/A
Rooms great Food and breakfast good. Had to take taxi there since it was out of the way but glad we stayed there it was a treat. Design of hotel was unique. A good R and R hotel but no shopping nearby. 4 K from airport.
It was really nice
Good quiet hotel The drain in the bathroom overflowed after the bathwater was let out
It's really close to the airport Not something that I didn't like, but just consider that this hotel is far from the city center. Anyway, if you have to be early in the morning in the airport, it's perfect.
Free parking . Only hotel available within driving distance of Bergen. Poor breakfast buffet and staff having great fun clearing the rests as guests arrived in bewilderment .
It was close to the business I was attending. The thermostat was non-functional and my room was very cold. Only two towels were provided. No bar soap.
Nice, clean comfortable accommodations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Directions to hotel were somewhat hard to follow. We ended up asking locals for direction.
Quite nice and a clean hotel. Close to the airport but too far away from the city of Bergen. We had to stay there begause the city hotels were fully booked. Room was comfortable and it had an separate working space and a sofa. Very good almoust exellent breakfast. Weird door locks at the room. Once leaving the room you have to lock it separately with the keycard from outside. Why just lock the door automatically?
Very good quality for not a big price
Comfortable suite. Too far from Bergen. Very poor dinner facilities.
Fantastic location, fairly good breakfast. The common areas were very poorly maintained (torn and dirty carpeting, chipped and broken doorframes, etc.) and both lifts were broken for much of the stay. The room was unpleasantly decorated. Hotel was very expensive relative to the atmosphere and maintenance level.
Location is very good. Near train station, city center, bus station which will connect to air port. Hotel staff is friendly. The shower place and toilet is same room and same height(flat). So when I take a shower, water always go to a toilet. Then it got uncomfortable. The price is expensive, probably we have to understand how expensive in Norway is.
Small rooms, but with all needed facilities. I recommend the room with terrace with beautiful view. The menu in Egon restaurant is also OK. The room with window directed to backyard was very noisy. Whole day and night I heard the noise of ventilation.
I used a debit card for the reservation instead of a credit card and I was charged twice, one at check-in including a 20% extra and another one at check-out, for the exact amount. Charges are inmediate, but refund seems to take some days, I expect to be refunded for the first charge but I am still waiting for it.
The food. The serenity of the place. The location.
Nice room, comfy bed, quiet. Cheap horrible soap, had to go down 3 floors to get a cup of tea, breakfast very average.
Good location. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant.
Good location Excellent breakfast included in price
Central accomodation - at a fair price. - the room size is fine and the interior ok. - The free coffemachine in the lobby - makes excellent coffee to take to the room.
A breakfast room divided in many sections suited us very well. I discovered too late that it would have been cheaper to book the room directly via the hotel's website than it was to use booking.com.
The room was clean and basic. The restaurant was not open of a night time and the breakfast was very basic and not always hot.
It is possible to get to the center of Bergen on foot (takes 20 - 25 minutes) Another variant - by bus. Extremely small room (standart double), at the same time - very expensive in comparison with the same class hotels across Norway. Reasonably far from city center.
Cheaper than most of other hotels in Norway (everything is expensive in Norway). But I would not recommend it. Too far from the city center. Rooms incredibly small. Can't be a 4 stars hotel. The neighborhood not nice.
The hotel had a pleasent location by the water it was also located very close to friends we were visiting. The walking trail above the hotel around the back of Bergen was very pleasent and would be a good suggestion to visitor staying at the hotel who like walking and are looking for something to do. Many aspects of the hotel were looking a bit tired for example the tiles outside the main entry were broken, TV in the rooms were outdated and an obstruction in the room. My wife bumped her had on the TV after pluging in the kettle into the power board which was on the floor. We felt a permanent and convienient power connection was not provided. The positioning of the bed against the wall needs to be reconsidered.
The location, friendly staff
Staff was helpful and friendly, pointing out various tourist attractions on the map. the hotel was also very secure. The room was clean and the lounge area was pretty comfortable. kitchen was a little dirty. The reception was not 24hours, so problems (with WiFi for example) could not be fixed until the next morning. Also, there were 2 big groups present during our stay, and they made it difficult for anyone else to use the kitchen because they used all the plates and utensils.
the enviroment is very good. I can coumunate with other people living here conviniently and very well . and i learned a lot of new things of inrest. Very good experience ! The bed mattess is too soft ,a little unconfortable .
The location very close to the centre and the busstation. The reception was not opened in the morning and evening, just during the day.
It was the perfect place to stay in Bergen for 3 nights. Super Secure and safe. I stayed in the 4 bed female dorm. They head huge lockers so I never worried about my stuff when I left it in the room.
The place is pretty much a typical international hostel. The number of shared bathrooms/showers is ample sufficient to not have to wait, rooms+guests were quiet and the guest house's scheme to arrive after reception hours has worked well. pillows and blankets could look better after a round at the cleaner's
Hotel is neat and tidy and in a good location
Harbor view. Facility is a little old but it is not big deal.
Made reservation through third party. Upon arrival the front desk agent told me the reservation was not showing so he made me a new reservation. Not only did he charge me more for the new reservation but I was also charged by the third party. Dispute has received no response yet.
Location There was
I was upgraded to a sea view room on arrival
Room overlooked harbor and Bryggen area and was on 6th floor. Room was great.
The bed was not conformable as it was a provisional double bed.Old furniture. There were not enough towels
The harbour view; proximity to centre. The food was very good, and the place was very clean and smart. Room was small with very little storage and no room to put up the suitcase stand provided! Also the restaurant service was chaotic and haphazard - at breakfast they were very slow to refill the things that had run out. But food was good.
Location is excellent, and we enjoyed a spacious corner room. Dining room views are superb, and staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was actually a fold down Murphy bed from wall, not as comfortable as it should have been for the beautiful room, and it was awkwardly made up with overlapping sheets.
The complimentary breakfast buffet was quite good -- lots of options, large amounts of food. Staff generally not helpful -- only some of the staff was able to provide information about tourist activities. Not readily responsive to resolving issues with the room. Rooms are very clean, but somewhat old. The beds were old and not very comfortable.
The location of the hotel was excellent, just in front of the Brygge with all this wonderful wooden houses. Our room had a lovely sightseeing of the harbour from the bed. We surely will be back to that hotel.
comfortable beds, nice breakfast buffet, bathroom lighting was terrible
The front desk was especially cordial and helpful. All housekeeping staff we saw were friendly. The breakfast is wonderful, and the Internet in the room was free. Rooms are small but well laid out.
Impressive breakfast Slow check-in
The design of the entry lounge was a bit awkward and uninspired.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, food was good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast is good, The transport by bus to the city was efficient. The staff were very helpful. The tub was pretty slippery, an anti slip might have been better. Or a walk in shower would have been nice ( my son's room had one). The glass partition in the tub was too short so that water will fall onto the floor when taking a bath, Also, there was no lunch served in the hotel, lucky that the staff asked the chef to prepare some for us before we left.
I liked it but the strict check in at 15.00 was quiet off putting.
Breakfast was good, nice room and bathroom. Good location.
Easy access to city and surrounding area Room was very noisy with window open at night. We consider a serious problem for some people. However next time we would request a room on quiet side.
good location, nice lobby, very pleasant staff room smelled a bit. gym was closed on day we went
It's a fantastic hotel in Bergan, quite new, perfect front desk service, very good location in city center. We had a bad experience in Grand Terminus on the first day, so we switch to Scandic Bergen City, it is a smart choice, price just a little bit higher than the former one. The front desk is very helpful to find a room for us in the morning time. Breakfast buffet is typical Scandic. The bed is a little bit too soft, not good for wasite relax, seems all the scandic series are the same.
Close to city centre, ferry port and museums. Good breakfast.
early check in It was such a old fashioned room compare to the other rooms they have in the other building. Didn't like it for the same price.
Breakfast was vast and varied and good. well we booked the hotel inspite of there being no reviews ,considering the webpage said renovated in 2008.Well it does not say that only a handful of rooms in a big hotel were renovated. So you see we were thoroughly disappointed with the room. The hotel staff were able to put us in a renovated smoking room for one night and the next night in a different room. The first room we were given was really old .
Good location. The room was dirty and smelly. Cheap and old furniture. Still expensive.
The rooms were very spacious and much better than I was expecting. The reception area was very basic.
Good central location The room did not have any air-cooling. Lot of noise from the backyard.
The location was great and the appartment was clean and spacious
central location,.very good breakfast, kitchen in the room
Location to Bergen's centre No cleaning of room, no phone, bf next door very average
Apartment was very big, and location was perfect
Placed in the middle of the city and had its own kitchen(including dishes, cups, silver wears, pot, pan and a big refrigerator) so it was really convenient. Nice place to visit with family. no air conditioning system so it was little hot inside
Location is the best. Near to shopping street and the bus station to the airport. Within walking distance to the fish market. Good value for money esp. a family room. Very comfortable for four adults in a family room with two separate bedrooms, a living room and two toilets. Free internet. No parking
Generally fairly utilitarian, but good value for money, esp location. centre Bergen. Good breakfast.
We had a lovely corner room with four large windows that let in a lot of light. Having tea in the room in the evenings was very nice. Nothing
I was very pleased with my stay at Hotel Park Bergen. It is a wonderful hotel with a very nice and attentive staff.
We stayed 3 nights. This hotel was excellent. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breadfast room was charming and well-decorated with antiques. The food was good and in abundant supply. Parking was adequate, but was on street parking with window permit.
The very friendly and pleasant staff
staff is very kind and friendly. room is not clean, dust on the phone, poor breakfast. location is on the top of hill, have to climb more than 10mins to get there.
The traditional style which set the Hotel apart from larger chains in the City centre. The complimentary tea, coffee & homemade chocolate brownies were a pleasant bonus!
The hotel is attractive and friendly Size of room is very small. The hotel places itself as a 'historic' hotel and it is full of antique like furniture. It thus doesn't have the modern amenities of 'new' hotels. But very friendly, good breakfast etc.
The free homemade brownies, good english skills by the receptionists, the cosy old style the hotel had. Poor room service, didn't get towels after room service, lack of minibar, restaurants various drinks. Expensive
This is a really lovely little hotel. Beautifully furnished and with a warm, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice little extra touches like free coffee and homemade brownies being put out all day. a little way out of the main town, but only enough to mean that it is in a quiet and peaceful location. You can still walk downtown to Bryggen or the ferry for Stavanger in 10 minutes. Good free internet connection. Excellent breakfast. I loved it, and would happily return if I ever go back to Bergen. Lacks a few facilities that you would find in a larger hotel - no minibar, room service or restaurant, but then again, this is not a larger hotel. As a general point, from Bookin.com, I formed the impression that this was almost the cheapest hotel in town, only to discover once there that there are a lot of cheaper places that are not on Booking.com. That is not the fault of the hotel though. If I gave it less than full marks for "value for money" it is simply because nothing in Norway gets full marks for value for money!!!
excellent service: when we arrived before noon, we were kindly served with hot drinks. excellent room: we were offered well designed room, very comfortable, convenient. excellent location: quiet, not very far from city center, a very nice park near the hotel, supermarkt 2 min away.
Excellent, friendly service. Charming antique hotel in the city. No elevator and 4 floors of steep stairs. Steep hills to walk to get to shopping district, but very close to the University of Bergen.
Low costs and central location Cold water in the shower, no towels in the second day of over stay, and fire alarm two o´clock in the night
Breakfast at the door - great idea! Especially when there is a teapot in the room and tea and coffee. The stuff maybe a little bit more friendly, but maybe it is just Scandinavian culture ...
I liked the position of the hotel. I found the breakfast on the door handle, nobody in the hotel informed about it
Very convenient location and reasonable price. Breakfast is easy to carry. Shower room is ill drained.<
