Efficient staff/booking 'Not enough croissonts for breakfast 'said the kids
Location clean warm tea/coffee making facilities Shutter difficult to open and close
Perfect if you are going to eurodisney, only 15mins away in the car. The hotel staff were lovely, very friendly. Food provided for breakfast/dinners very nice. We had a family room and it was very cramped, but it was sufficient for our purpose just to sleep in after a mad few days at Eurodisney
nice people not possible to have any drinks on tuesday evening at 22.30 hrs when we arrived after dinner
The hotel was clean, comfortable, with a good breakfast and restaurant. Excellent value for money.
Tea set was available, free WiFi, shower pressure was strong enough, bed was also large enough. Quiet location. Bathroom could have been cleaner but OK for this price
Location perfect for visiting fontainebluau, secure on site car parking< on site restauraunt Comfortably the most sullen and rude staff I have encountered
The rooms were clean and very comfortable. At the special price found on booking.com, this hotel was a perfect choice for a stop during our trip through the nearby beautiful villages and castles. The staff that welcomed us speaks little or no English, so if you have special requests (in our case it was two adjacent rooms with the third bed added) be sure to find a way to contact them to verify they understood them. However, the same staff was absolutely available to solve any problem on the spot.
Pleasant motel type hotel with nice breakfast. The room could be cleaner. Street noise most of the night through room door.
Quiet and clean, friendly staff everything was as advertised
Family of 4 (with dog) looking for a stop over on the way to Normandy. Perfect place to stop for the night. Hotel has a restaurant and there are restaurants nearby. My French language skills are poor and the staff don't speak English, but that's part of the adventure. We paid EUR 90 for two rooms. Great value for a tired family needing a basic place to sleep.
It was quite and peaceful amd the food was great!
Nice hotel in a good location, nice grounds and a nice room at a good price. Hotel was under going renovation, would have been nice to be told though as we were just passing through for one night it didnt make much difference to our stay.
Beautiful grounds and quiet location. Swimming pool was great. Breakfast was insufficient. Many items had rum out by the time we wanted to eat at 8:30am. Not enough staff to clean up after previous diners. No provision of extra towels for use at swimming pool.
helpful staff, good location,on site parking small room, small bathroom, small balcony (just large enough to stand on) With temp up to 41 deg, could not get aircon or fridge to function until last day of stay. Judging by our room alone,I think it was well over priced.
nice location, very quiet, large garden, good breakfast. apparently the hotel was being upgraded. let them keep up the good work! not really. the room could have been bigger, though
Good value, good facilities, free Wifi generally rather poor state of repair; slow checkout
Hotels is just renewed, so it looks very nice and better than we expected. Personnel is very friendly Matras of the bed was a bit too hard
calmness, staff polite
Free WiFi It was a long way from the jazz festival Django Reinhardt so without a car we had to take overpriced Taxi to get there. The meal at the restaurant was not a good value (the demi-pigeon) - a joke.
The pool and gardens
I like the place where it is every thing was good
Visited a nearby Chateau. The location
We stayed at the Melun Ibis as an overnight stopover so used the hotel as a bedroom only. I liked the fact that when we arrived very late at night the reception was manned and the car park was secure my only critisism was that there was no air conditioning or fans in the room which made for an uncomfotable night in the 30 degree heat
Hotel was a shining beacon in an area clearly not intended for the tourist trade. Very nice rooms, bathrooms and breakfast area. Breakfast was better than most with self-service pans for making eggs and a variety of nice foods. Lack of any local food places or places to get a beer. I realize it's not the hotel's problem, but if you're just passing through, eat and drink first.
The male receptionist was very helpful and served us drinks even though the bar was not open. Good location and very good room apart from a folding en suite door which was a little "Heath Robinson. Breakfast was minimal and cost 7 Euros.
The helpfulness of the hotel staff Not enough pillows on the bed
The hotel owner is a very nice man, and the hotel offers good value for money. No specific dislikes
Quiet. Comfortable bed. Decent continental breakfast. Clean. Though the hotel's immediate neighborhood is not in itself an attraction, Fontainebleau, Barbizon, Moret-sur-Loing, and other attractive areas are within a few minutes drive. No restaurant open on weekend. One modest restaurant in easy walking distance.
Convenience for Fontainebleau, reasonably easy to find and within walking distance of melun town centre Extremely disappointed that the restaurant was only open for one of the four nights of our stay and that it was not stated in advance on the website. The on site restaurant was the main reason for booking the hotel.
Not the rural farmhouse I was expecting. Convenient access to Paris but nothing to do in and around melun, use it as a stop over. Ok alternative to ibis etc. Location is very suburban surroundings are mainly blocks of flats
A little bit out of town, very quiet, not bad to find.
The helpful and friendly reception staff. It delivered its promise. No restaurant available at weekend but reasonable pizzeria in walking distance.
I found this hotel basic but quite adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Easy to find, clean and comfortable, staff helpful. n/a
simplicity of the hotel and politeness of staff
The friendly and helpful attitude of the staff. Basic decor, but this was reflected in the rates.
Beds weren't the greatest (but not as bad as others I stayed in on this trip).
This hotel was ideally located with only a 5 minute walk to the SeIne and Loine river junction. The room was well decorated and had an open balcony with table and chairs. When we arrived, it was 33C and the room had no air conditioner or fan. We had to leave the doors open all night to be able to sleep.
We arrived approx 18.00 on a Sunday evening to be told the restaurant & bar were closed. Nothing was open in the local village. The following morning the only member of staff asked us to pay as he was leaving the hotel and was unaware we were staying for 3 days. He then left us as the only occupants of the hotel (no other staff at all) with no facilities available - no restaurant, bar, sauna(broken) or advice about the local area. We 'phoned the hotel's number and were advised that it was the staff's day off. We gained the impression that it was closing down.It was a unique experience in that we have never been deserted in a hotel before ! We did not stay and wouldn't return.
The hotel manager was very kind and helpful The quality of the breakfast was very poor for12 euros. A cot had been requested and I was told was available and in our room, but when we got there it was not there. There were no highchairs in the hotel at all. Very unchild friendly.
The hotel is set in a picturesque location next to the river Seine. The reception area is attractive and modern as is it's restaurant. The bedrooms have been partly refurbished but overall the hotel has a tired look about it. The drinks were very expensive ie two glasses of White wine (small) cost €11 and two glasses of cognac €24. The continental breakfast was fresh and fairly standard. However, the evening meal was beautifully cooked and very well presented
location is very scenic. Free internet access
The rooms are very nice and offer an beautiful view on the Seine-river. The surrounding is very quiet and relaxing. The eating and garden facilities have been recently renovated.
Good location, close to Fontainbleau (4 kms) and over looked the river. This property is run down. Needs a good overhaul. Seemed at the ends of its days.Walls very thin!
Location of hotes is good but room was shabby.
Nice views and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet The hallways seemed a bit stuffy and might benefit from proper ventilation.
Very comfortable hotel on a beautiful location next to the river. Rooms looked very nice. If you can't speak French it's quite hard to get your questions answered...
