I liked the location of the hotel, however the car park was not available at all times.Anyway, a nice place in the heart of the town.I liked the nice atmosphere as well, and attentive staff.
Comfortable bed. (a) Wi-Fi was not free; (b) No shelf in shower for soap, shampoo, etc.; (c) very few non-French TV stations; Reception staff not comfortable speaking English.
Central position Not really modern room. Having to pay for wifi these days!
The hotel has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere which made us feel very welcome. For the price we found the hotel to be just what we needed and enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant.
Lovely staff, excellent meal, pleasant and good value throughout. They aim to please.
Bed was comfortable, the grounds were pleasant and the owner was accommodating. Pool was very nice with plenty of seating The first room was very small, we paid 10 Euros for a slightly larger room. The rooms were very basic for the price, quite austere and impersonal
A fairly good price-service relation. Relatively copious breakfast bufffet (this was very appreciated by both of us). Clean room. The hotel in Tulle stands out favourably in comparison with the low quality P'tit Dej-Hotel at Aurillac which we had the displeasure to visit thereafter. Considering the still moderate price, what we found corresponded to what we expected. By the way, our visit in the P'tit Dej-Hotel at Tulle was not the first one.
Initial reception from the husband and wife owners was very welcoming. Had to prepay the bill for overnight stay and once paid the initial warmth of the owners evaporated. Wanted a drink at the bar at just after 10pm and we were rushed into finishing it so they could close up. We had two rooms, both of which were very run down. They were clean, but only in the most basic sense. Beds were uncomfortable and I was not tempted to use the shower. Overall, cheap but not very cheerful.
Clean hotel with friendly staff, we were made very welcome.
Food excellent and good value
It was welcoming without being fussy, comfortable without being luxurious and you got what you paid for without pretending to offer more.
friendly staff & helpfull Damp mould on walls but OK as 1 night stop
Beautiful setting and nice spacious rooms. Really enjoyed our stay, the only thing I could possibly complain about would be the slowliness of dinner service at the restaurant in the evening. The food was worth waiting for though!
Complete freedom to come and go as you wish, The helpfulness of the staff
There was nothing to like at all. My experience was so bad that I refused to pay, and the owner agreed.
Great design of the room, very nice staff, good restaurant
Location excellent in middle of town - good centre for touring upper Dordogne Food was grossly over-priced
Very pleasant and helpful staff, nice tv and comfortable beds Lacking in character as I had booked at an old characterful hotel that was still being renovated, I was disappointed, this hotel would have been ordinary anywhere in the world and did not reflect the character of the town it is situated in which is what I had been seeking; bathroom very small
Excellent location, Beaulieu town and river are very picturesque. Lovely local view from window, and nice modern spacious room. Great garden terrace and restaurant at front of hotel,- food nice. but the house vin rouge was not great, order another!
I was actually shifted to a better hotel another one of their properties This hotel will probably be closed for renovations. I stayed at Le Turenne for another 5 days on a group booking and staff did not bother to change towels or provide a rail for clothes in the close, let alone hangers. My advice is not to stay here
the food in the restaurant was excellent. The room was clean and fresh. the staff all made you very welcome. the new furniture was an added attraction for the locals which was very good no
The room was spacious, very quiet, exceptionally good comfort. We were made welcome in many ways. The Restaurant has traditional French menus at a range of prices, all good value. We enjoyed dejeuner on 7 days with every course being of the highest standard. Our congratulations to the Chef. The service made every evening a pleasure.
Has an excellent restaurant with reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast as well. No elevator access so moving suitcases up two floors could be difficult.
My wife was unwell but the staff were very kind and helpful. Nice place, family run.
Location Very noisy, very cool welcome
lovely quiet hide away with a fabulous picturesque setting on the river
Good restaurant and annex bar, room offers great value fo money. Poor breakfast for charged price with expensive extras.
Good service, comfort and location
The Duriana room, the location & the restaurant but it was unacceptable to us that upon arrival our long standing confirmed reservation of 2 nights in this room was not honoured for the second night due to the arrival of a regular guest apparently so our stay was cut short, as an alternative room was was not of the same standard. The female receptionist who was cool & unwelcoming + the total lack of interest from the manager whom we asked to see but who did not appear.
excellent welcome. staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was nicely decorated, and the place had a good atmosphere.
comfortable and friendly service. Menu could have included more variety and was dominated by goats cheese
