8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great and Carlo was a wonderful host. The place has pros and cons and it’s important to know them beforehand. I traveled alone so I managed very well in my space.
Cons: Some rooms are “little apartments” on the street, so entrance is kind of exposed (nothing happened and it’s not likely to). Then you have to go to another “apartment” for breakfast. (There was a fridge there that was available to everybody, that was positive.) I didn’t read or acknowledged that daily cleaning had an extra cost. I didn’t need it anyway. I think there was no air conditioning.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had a good experience in this family run B&B. The owner was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good with a nice selection of homemade cakes. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a bit of a funny smell when we arrived but this went as soon as we opened the windows. The shower worked fine. Good location to explore the town.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, hospitable owner, clean rooms
Cons: Breakfast selection was relatively small, mostly cakes and coffee.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This b&b was extremely clean.
Cons: The room was small and very close to the eating area. The breakfast was nothing special, including the processed food wrapped in plastic.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The welcome from Sandrino!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the surrounding areas are beautiful. It is also a very good value.
Cons: We weren’t able to use the top bunk bed because it wasn’t safe. There was enough space between the bed and the wall that my child could have fell as well as the rail was too short.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Casahotel Civitella is a basic (but incredibly friendly!) hotel with comfortable rooms located in the National Park "Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise" with wildlife such as the linx, the Italian Marsican brown bear, and deer in close proximity. You can start your hikes at the hotel! :--). The hotel serves an Italian breakfast with cakes from the daughter of one of the owners, but also cereals, bread, yogurt, fruits, grilled zucchine depending on the day. The owners can advise about hikes. Would stay again, recommended.
Cons: The town was very quiet when we were there, in September. But Barrea is nearby. Drive carefully in the evening/night: animals are on the road (you really notice that is is their territory, and you are only a guest! :--). Locals know: they all drive very very carefully in the dark. A real difference from daytime.

Pros: Great location in a beautiful town. The hotel is fairly new and very up to date and modern. Borgo La Forgia - Forlì del Sannio - Bedroom
9
9.7 Excellent (49 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Borgo la forgia is born from the old forge of the village, a characteristic building built in local stone, today completely renovated to guarantee our guests modern comfort with ancient warmth. It preserves in its interior furniture of the past, finely restored and copper objects used in the peasant kitchen. The property is located in the heart of Roccasicura, on one side of a small stone square, in a quiet position, a few meters from the main square, in a wonderful panoramic village a few kilometers from Roccaraso. The structure consists of 5 rooms (1 single, 2 double and 2 twin with separable beds). They are very bright, spacious and welcoming, three of which have a small balcony. They are all equipped with coat hangers, hangers, chest of drawers or wardrobe, flat-screen TV, free WiFi, heating with temperature regulation from the room. They have a private bathroom with shower, bidet, hairdryer, soaps and towels. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary battery for the preparation of breakfast and other meals. The room is very spacious and boasts a majestic fireplace for guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was met immediately by Renatta who was very gracious and helpful during my stay. She made my experience at Borgo La Forgia perfect in every way. I would happily stay there again!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We booked really late, but were welcomed with open arms. Since it was Monday, all restaurants were closed, however our hostess made a really nice dinner for us, without hesitation. Would highly recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Renata was a fantastic host who had made us a delicious cake and biscuits, and insisted on us taking what we hadn't managed to finish when we left. This is more than a B&B, there is a whole table full of food that we were encouraged to snack on (including grappa and an artichoke liqueur). She was so welcoming and friendly that it was more like staying with a friend of the family than in a B&B. Also the room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and a good shower, plus great WiFi.
Cons: Nothing, it was all great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place has been refurbished in a way that respects the tradition and how it was in the past. It's super cozy and very clean. It has also a wonderful fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen free to use. Renata, the host, is a very friendly and polite woman: she takes care about everything you might need...and she bakes also delicious cakes that she serves for breakfast, which is excellent and doesn't miss anything (jams, chocolates, biscuits, toast, ham, cheese, yoghurts, candy bars and snacks). Totally recommended. I'll definitely come back next time I will around that area!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best Location ever + very friendly host

The bathroom was modern and well equipped. The shower had great water pressure and hot water. Breakfast was nice - cakes, yogurt, pastries, tea, coffee, jams, etc. Attilio the proprietor was kind and helpful. He gave us ideas on what to see, where to go and how to get there. Garni La Bua Nel Bosco was just right for us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner is very accommodating and lovely views from the balcony in our room. Very comfortable in all ways!. Bed , WiFi and bathroom very comfortable.
Cons: The many many steps to get to the hotel. No help with our suitcases and then our room was on the third floor ... more steps! However at this point the owner helped me with mine! My only complaint otherwise lovely place to stay in the Rivisondoli 1

Pros: The hotel’s atmosphere is very calming and the service is more than polite, acting more like family with me! Rooms are comfy and the amenities are exceptional. Plus the view off the balcony is special in itself!
Cons: For me I had no problems because I speak Italian, but as an American writing in English I should mention that the owner does not speak English, so brush up on your Italian before you go to Rivisondoli!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Carla is always hospitable. This was our second stay here for skiing in Roccaraso. The rooms are very clean and perfect for couples and families. The room gets warm enough at night even in the winter and the bed is very cozy. The snacks and breakfast are a great value. Real authentic Italian treats and espresso machine! Good WiFi connection.
Cons: The television doesn’t work great. It skips channels on its own. It was ok because we watched Netflix using the WiFi anyway.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This was the “base camp” my kids and I needed for one night between days spent skiing (about 20 minutes away). The room was nice, very clean and simple - one full sized bed (might have been a queen), bunk beds, a simple wardrobe and a bookshelf that served as a night stand. The room had plenty of power outlets for recharging electronics and a clean bathroom (ours had a shower stall and no tub). There was a hair dryer in the bathroom as well. Reception included two friendly small dogs outside while inside Carla handled the formal reception. She texted us earlier in the day to verify our arrival time and provide additional direction details (Google Maps navigation was recommended and worked well for us). Thanks for the great stay!
Cons: Walls were thin (easy to hear through) and the only chairs in our room were the beds. There were many tables and chairs in the common area between the guest rooms, right outside your door. This common area is also where you’ll have breakfast/coffee.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Carla, the owner, is splendid! She communicated early with how to get our key since she wouldn’t be available when we checked in. The room was very clean and the bathroom superb. It’s the perfect no thrills, no frills b&b for those who don’t need a lot of extras, but you get them in the morning. Carla had put a sign on a table for us with some meats, cheeses, and breads so we could make sandwiches for lunch, and there was an assortment of jellies, spreads, croissants, espresso, juice, and homemade treats for breakfast. And if you’re an animal lover, you’ll love being greeted by her dogs and cat, Rosita. All very friendly!
Cons: The only, and I emphasize ONLY, is the mattress could have been more comfortable. There is not much padding but it was fine for our one night stay. Can’t even really complain with how incredible the rest was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really good!! Best bed ever ;) we had no car and she drove us to town for dinner and she took us back. It is an very good b&b. Thanks so much!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Actually, the croissants were extra flaky! This is very much a BnB, a central living area with multiple bedrooms off of it. Very communal without sacrificing privacy. Big room that I had to myself but was available for up to 4 people with a double bed and a set of bunks. Friendly and accessible hostess, and sweet little doggies to boot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner Carla is extremely welcoming and caring. The building is new and super clean with a full kitchen at the guests disposal making B&B il Casale ideal for families traveling with children. Carla bakes fresh cakes and croissants for breakfast everyday and the espresso maker with pods is a very nice plus. The slopes are a short drive away. We'll be back!

6.3 Good
Pros: The owner is very nice and the decor is excellent, particularly the lighting.
Cons: It is impossible to find. We walked around looking for an hour in the freezing cold and tried to phone the owner several times for help but he didn't answer. When we eventually found it, we were very disappointed. It is a cement rendered apartment block in an alley with no sign and no intercom or buzzer. We banged on the door but no-one answered. We had to go to a bar for a couple of hours until the owner answered his phone. We would have looked for somewhere else if we hadn't already paid.

Overview Reviews
Bed & breakfast in the historical center of Agnone, city of art which has been awarded an orange flag by the Italian Touring Club (certification of touristic inland environmental excellence). Guests are accommodated, in 3 rooms and 3 apartments (houses), in early 20th century finely restructured palaces. Local artisans skillfully renovated ancient stone walls and arches, reused original pavements (chianche), and restored the existing furniture in full respect of the rural nature of the establishments. Ulterior details, such as early century wrought iron bedsteads and precious hand made draperies, embellish further the establishments and render them particularly refined. All the houses, which may guest 2 or 4 people, have a kitchen, balconies and all possible comforts. They, moreover, all have private bathrooms and independent entrances.

Pros: We were not in the main b & b, so I can't comment on rooms there. We were in another part around the corner. Lovely view, sweet room, nice bathroom, very quiet, great value. Very nice owner, arranged an English tour of the bell foundry for us. (Highly recommend this!)
Cons: Listing on booking.com said it had a/c. Our room didn't.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were stylish and very comfortable; and spacious enough for a few days. Heating was available to take out the chill at night. We moved rooms halfway through stay. First room had wifi extender and excellent wifi. Plenty of information provided in a well organised pack, about self guided excursions in the area. Arrival was simple and straightforward.
Cons: Second room, higher up and called Tina, had little to no wifi so we struggled to do forward planning, blogging and banking we needed to arrange. It was raining the final two days to the point where it was difficult to get out. It would have been nice to have been able to make a cup of tea in our room or in a common area. But no facilities in our room and It was a wet walk to the nearest cafe (where we had to go for our free breakfast - coffee and cornetto). These are minor things and the unseasonably bad weather a huge impact. But I must stress that despite these things, we would still go back and stay.

Pros: This is our second time staying here. We love the decor and homey feeling of the apartment. It is very clean and the host Valentina is a very nice lady. She has a lot of information about Agnone to share. Agnone is a beautiful town. We walked everywhere. We visited the Marinelli bell factory and the Caseificio Di Nucci cheese factory both wonderful tours. Agnone is a great place to visit only 2.5 hour drive from Rome. Every morning we a a ticket for a cafe and croissant at the local cafe.
Cons: We love everything about it.

Pros: Valentina is an excellent hostess. We were provided with an extensive itinerary of sites in the area. We had dinner at her mother’s agriturismo...what a treat! An absolutely wonderful experience!
