Supermarket in the ground floor.
The room was very big, confortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
The staff is super friendly, competent, and welcoming!
When I opened the door of first room we were checked into I was a little surprised to see someone else's cases and handbag there. I didn't venture further in case I ambushed someone.
We thought the rooms were great, staff were very friendly and helpful. Claudia and Chara I have to say were top class, very friendly. We would stay in the hotel again. Sandra Owens.
nice big rooms, comfort, minibar the daily cleaning of towels; Italy is a dry land and you should give the residents the option to use their towels for multiple days
large rooms, friendly staff also offering good advice on restaurants in town and sights of Ferrara, large breakfast choice
friendly staff, good breakfast, bike service very good
Beautiful place, lovely and clean room nice furniture far from historical center, the only restaurant in neighbourhood was closed ,a lot of mosquitous in the room because the nets on the windows are broken, the noice of the motorway
furnishing of rooms, location, breakfast (warm chocolate cake was excellent), friendliness of owners directions to the hotel
I wish we had more time to spend in the residence. We spent only one night (it was a break in our trip to Corsica). Very nice and calm.
It was very nice experience.
Its individuality! The hotel was situated right in the country about 4 km from Ferrara but the facilities were superb, spotlessly clean with a huge well equipped bathroom. The owners were extremely friendly and could not do too much to help - including lending us bikes to explore Ferrara. Breakfast was lovely, with home made cakes and pastries. A great find! Not really, the track up to the hotel was a bit dusty but that added to the charm!
If you spend some time studying the map before you leave, it is relatively easy to find (some reviews led us to believe that it wasn't). Ferrara is very easy to reach.
Very friiendly family runs the place. Quiet location, large garden, kids may run everywhere. Very remote location, accessible only by car and using GPS navigation. Plenty of mosquitos and other bugs.
although they have to do some finishing touches the whole complex is superb the breackfast is a little bit too early for holidaymakers
It's the beautiful small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Strongly recommended to stay.
Excellent treatment of the staff!! very welcoming. Most quiet and relaxing location, very good facilities in the room. The hotel is a little bit hard to find even with a navigation system. You have to keep driving 2 km on a dirt-road after the GPS "finds" the destination. It should be cleared on the web-site.
atmosphere and convenient location
the location. The only restriction tht I had is related to the absence of plastic or glass protection arround the bo. Because of this the floor were completly yet after my shower.
This is an excellent hotel with a distinctive style and elegance in a central location. The inclusive buffet breakfast was first class, and bicycles were available free of charge for Hotel guests, a desirable accessory in this "bicycle city" Ferrara. Everything was first class - no complaints!
Benevolence and efficiency of the staff, cleaniness of the room and the hotel in general, perfect location. Good value for money especially if there is a special offer. An advice to European non-Italian travellers: Italian electric sockets do not allow pluggin-in a standard (two-prongs) European plug. The adaptor is needed. Hence, Either bring the one of your own or ask at the hotel's front desk (as I did, and they immediately found the thing). Moscitoes. But this problem can be resolved with the help of the hotel stuff (they provide a nice electric device which produces moscito-killing fume).
Polite and efficient personal, clean room, quite place, no noise at all nop
Big rooms with the original painted ceiling, helpful staff, secure parking and a great location very close to this spectacular city.
great location. nice, knowledgeable staff. I wanted to like this hotel's faded grandeur, but the facilites were not up to par.
The services and the price.
the central location was extremely convenient; you could walk everywhere. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast (included) was extensive and excellent. Our room was very small. I understand the larger rooms are saved for families or groups.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were beautiful. The breakfast was great. The location was good. Everything was great.
The hotel is between the in/out city highway and center city. Is very good localization. My room number 334 had a problem in bathroom lay out. The toilet is too close to the sink leg. There is only 3 or 4 centimeters of distance. Is impossible to seat in toilet and use the toilet paper with some confort.
It is near to the fiera and also to the town, it is not difficult to find it if you are coming from autostrada. It is also good location for the fiera nad near to the old part of the town.
Clean, breakfast with loads of granny-kind homemade pies Location is close enough to town centre, however poor sorroundings (one of main access roads to Ferrara)
We used this as a stop-off between Verona and Pisa -- it was very functional but lacked any extra comforts. The cleaning was done but not complete -- our room had only half the pillow cases we needed and the room smelt of cleaning fluid.
Breakfast, (good) pizza delivery serivce, good location if you travel by car.
Very good breakfast, comfortable.
It was good to have a kettle and tea/coffee available in the room. The advertised free shuttle bus was not available, as it was broken down.
Quality/price is good
We had a very nice stay with pleasant staff, nice and clean rooms and a good breakfirst to a reasonable price. No
It was a very good location for my business trip, close to the industrial area. There is a Roadhouse Grill just out the door. The free wi-Fi connection is not good. The first room I was gived had a too poor connection, I was close to change hotel. The new room I was given had a better connection, but still not good. Next time I will try another hotel, I need the Internet for my job.
quiet, clean, friendly staff A longish walk to center city.
Friendly helpful staff, welcome drink. Convenient location next to supermarket and restaurant and easy to find. everything worked well and the breakfast was good.
This is an excellent hotel and the price is quite a value. The hotel's interior and the rooms are nicely appointed, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is ample. In addition, free wifi is available in the lobby--a nice surprise since the booking.com description says there is no wifi available. I cannot imagine a nicer hotel for the price. Though wifi was available in the lobby and outdoor patio, it was not available in my room. But that gave me an excuse to sit out on the patio and enjoy the fresh air.
My girlfriend and I have chosen the hotel for the anniversary and we were very satisfied with our choice! The hotel is very romantic, homy, well-kept, and it corrisponds comepletely to the four-star catagory!..
Location and comfort are exelent and we enjoyed both. It is in the heart of the city and it is very peaceful, well for rest. The court is nice. There is no shoe brush. There were no salad and eggs for breakfast.
Excellent, stylish, quiet location in the historic center of Ferrara with an aristocratic, familiar atmosphere. Very friendly, helpful staff. Safe closed private parking in 3 minutes. Very difficult to find and reach by car (in the restricted downtown area full of one ways). "Cost saving" breakfast.
Charming atmospher in a beautiful historical building - beautuful courtyard.
A most excellent hotel, close to the lovely city of Ferrara. The room we were given was the most creditable attribute of this charming hotel.
Easy access to the historic buildings that we wanted to see in Ferrara The bath was chipped
Really nice staff. Hotel is in centre of town. We were there for the wonderful noisy Busker Festival but our room was dead quiet, Easy to use safe no extra. I really can't think of anything except the fact that I read that there was no internet point. I suppose I might have used one but really it was a luxury not to have one for 5 days.
clean and spacious room, modern bath, good choices from large breakfast buffet, helpful staff limited foreign language capability at reception; high fee for car parking 30 Eur p.d.
Centraly located, clean, neat and classy, friendly. Perhaps the air-conditioning may work a little better - in that time's tremendous heat.
Very well designed studio room with cooking facilities. Pleasant owners. Bicycles available. No
Wonderful place, beautifully modernised. Great to have the free use of bikes. The owner was very welcoming and friendly.
Centrality of location. Bicycle availability. Good room design. Parking was a bit difficult, would be helpful to have a resident's parking permit to borrow. Restriction of arriving at a precise time - not really fair on international travellers.
Fantastic welcome, excellent value for money, directions how to get to hotel by public transport, free bicycles of good quality and friendly arrangements for storing luggage on day of departure. It was a bit under the bed
The room was exceptionally good, well laid to a high quality. The staff were freindly although they could not speak much English. Overall a lovely hotel in a quiet part of Ferrara. There was very little parking in the immediate area of the hotel and the nearest public parking was a good 5 minute walk away.
The ability to have a roomy apartment that is new and well appointed. No.
Good location, Very nice room Parking was not so easy
The apartment was very comfortable and had excellent facilities. One of the best places I have stayed.
It is very close to the Marco Polo International Airport. And, for 5 Euro per room they offer a shuttle, beginning at 4:45 AM. Very convenient!
The Single Room was very small.
Perfect position in town centre, good connection to railwaystation, willig personal staff
The location was excellent for sigthseeing and the station Decor was gloomy and my room was very small with poor lighting. The shower sprayed everywhere and was very cramped. The hotel boasted that there were TV channels in major languages but there was only one German channel and Eurosport in English.
comfortable and central no bath
Well located, clean, attentive, good breakfasts and very pleasant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful... my wife and I arrived with our 2yr old. Although I'd put my daughter on the original booking request, she didn't appear on the reservation. The minute the receptionist saw her, she upgraded us to a larger suite without us asking, saying that our original suite wouldn't have been big enough. We arrived Thursday and left Tuesday. We didn't see the maid once - not good when you have a young child, dirty nappies, etc
Great location, nice room, very comfortable, very good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. All was good.
The facilities were very good, the position was excellent in the city centre, the staff were very friendly and the room was very clean Either the air conditioning wasn't working or I couldn't work out how to use it. There were no instructions. I like fresh air so slept with the windows open and was bitten by mosquitos. Maybe the hotel could provide instructions for technophobes like me.
The apartment was near the centre of Ferrara and the hotel staff were very helpful. We had to leave a deposit of 300 Euros in case of damage and also pay for the apartment when we checked in (which I paid for on my credit card). When we checked out the deposit was returned in cash on the last day of our holiday, as they said they couldn't reimburse my credit card.
hotel staff is very friendly
Great location and value for money.
Very helpful and friendly staff; excellent location in centre of town
Everything, except that a service fee of 60 Euro was charged during booking, in contrast to the descriptions on the webpage before. It appeared on the last page of the booking process. Probably, this is not the hotel´s fault though, but of booking.com.
location It was not enough light in my room (electricity)
The hotel is really too close to the highway, which rumour can be heard everywhere in the hotel and especially in the rooms even with windows and shutters closed. For people sensitive to noise, it is almost unbearable.
Too close to the highway (something not clear from the presentation - and the noise is really disturbing)
Friendly staff. Easy to find Can be some noise from Autostrada
nice outlook, nice room. Staff were not very friendly.
The warmth and friendliness of the owners and staff. It wasnt clear whether they were all family members or not, but the lady who greeted us must have been the owner or one of the owners. She was absolutely charming from the first moment of our arrival. We also liked the garden after the high density housing in most cities and we were delighted to be able to have dinner there without going back into Ferrara or elsewhere. We liked the straightforward attitude and willingness to accommodate us on the part of the lady who looked after the dining room - she was the sister in law of the first lady - and she seemed to manage to look after a lot of guests completely on her own. It was not in any sense a pretentious hotel, but entirely delightful in every way. There were no children there at the time and the clientele seemed to be all business men, but I imagine that in the summer time children would have had a wonderful time in the safe garden. No
The staff was gentle.. Internet was not available in the room, despite the announcement. Acoustic insulation between rooms was poor. Breakfast was essentially based on sweet items.
hospitality very expensive restaurant
we liked all services to this hotel. we enjoyed our staying. the excellent grooming was the most important for us. thanks a lot! arrivederci!! no
Only good thing was a/c worked well and room was clean No bath worst thing was breakfast served by owner still in his dressing gown who just woken up he deposited packet of crispbread and jam on table poured coffee and then disappeared. Too far from town centre
The owners are exrtremely friendly
very friendly staff, bus station to the town center in front of the hotel, very clean and renewed bathroom typical small italian breakfast should be upgraded
Room space Dinner not good and very expensive
Very nice swimming pool, friendly staff. You need a car if you stay here. Shame that there did not seem to be any obvious countryside walking areas.
friendly owners, good breakfast, nice private swimmingpool, adequate parkingspace, working airconditioning. You can not go to Ferrara on foot, you need a car.
Very comfortable room. Attractive terrace where a very enjoyable breakfast is served. Owners very friendly and helpful.
The owners and staff were so helpful and friendly and made the stay just about perfect. We will definitely be coming back.
Paolo is so friendly. He speaks English very well. The room is very clean.
Don't be fooled into thinking Room and Breakfast means low quality. The Corte dei Goighi is better than many 4 star hotels with the added advantage of rustic charm and the experience of traditional rural Italian life so close to the beautiful city of Ferrara. Highly recommended.
Great rooms and very welcoming owners. We stayed in one of the biggest double bedrooms I have ever seen- real rustic charm with all mod cons thanks to a recent renovation. You will benefit from having a car to explore Ferrara and the surrounding area, but much nicer than staying in town. Breakfast was simple but above the normal Italian standard.
very charming house, clean, nice breakfast, lovely swimming pool.
