The owners/staff are very welcoming and considarate.
We very much enjoyed our stay. staff were very attentive. breakfast was excellent and very well stocked and presented.
Very welcoming and genial hosts, food and accommodation excellent; homely and friendly atmosphere.
A very enjoyable weekend
Without doubt this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The food is out of this world, the attention to detail by the owners of the hotel is astonishing, if it wasn't so far away we would visit on a regular basis.
Very good meals, they tried hard to please.
Too many stairs-this needs to be made clear in advert as there was no lifts for anyone with a walking problem
Friendly and helpful owner
room was clean and en suite was very clean too. Would have preferred a bit more peace at breakfast.
The room, that ambience and the staff. nothing
the welcoming fire in the hallway
wine selection was very good. staff were not very welcoming and some staff were not very helpful.
Food was exceptional Could not get good wifi signal in room but fine in communal area
The food and the location I did expect the four poster bed, which clearly said on late booking .com this is the 3rd time late booking hads messed.
location service decent room
Warm, comfortable & good service Nothing
Good location, friendly staff. The evening meal was disappointing and areas of Hotel were rather grubby. The price of £3.95 for a bottle of water was OTT.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were excellent, very comfortable and superb value at £50 per single room. The dinner menu was varied and good value and the staff were efficient and friendly. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. No
Happy to print out my boarding pass
The room was spacious with a lovely view over to the firth. The public areas were also grand.
it was a business trip.so not a lot of time to do anything except go for a nice walk it was very empty no one at the bar or restaurant so was happy to eat in my room
We were stranded at Perth due to road closure. We were welcomed by the staff and found them to be friendly and helpful. There was little attempt to make the car park safe and clear of snow and ice. However the weather was very unusual and shovels and salt were available for use by residents.
peace and quiet
Friendlyness of staff No working internet, despite being included in the price. No spa facilities.
The leisure centre and the food we had no soap in our bathroom or drinking water. we stay at the Ardoe house regulary and is cheeper and more extras water etc
Comfortable room and spacious. Great location. Very good food in Conservatory restaurant. Room was very cold on arrival - radiator was off. Took 24hrs for room to warm up properly. Would have expected the heating to have been put on in advance in November.
Very disappointed with staff not very friendly and had requested on booking ( a room with sea view plus husband has dairy allergy which I had put on booking form but they couldnt cater for that told at breakfast by waitress that there was nothing they could offer thus we couldn't dine in hotel and had to go outside the hotel to dine.)
the location and setting of the hotel was lovely also the staff especially john on the bar where fantastic
comfort and location
excellent room with great sea view we were on fourth floor and lift was out of action
Wonderful location, sumptuous in terms of comfort and of course spotless spa and warm friendly staff N/A
The hotel was very nice, had a bit of a wait for a table in the restraunt, which was busy, but they had a private function going on, so maybe should have had extra staff otherwise we had a very pleasant stay and would definately go again. no
The friendly atmosphere, the very nice and clean rooms, the lovely food, the excellent service There was nothing at all that we didn't like
location .and warmth and friendliness of the staff. was a short pleasant walk to the town nothing
Very friendly helpful staff. They went out of their way to assist wherever they could. Service for evening meal on 14/02/08 very slow. Perhaps understandable because it was Valentine's Day. Also disposable duvets not very comfortable.
The food was excellent and room very spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking was quite limited for te number of guests staying at the hotel.
friendly staff It needs a lot of maintenance eg. the light over the basin did not work, the switch pull on the extractor fan in the bathroom was broken off and unreachable (don't know if it worked), TV was too big a challenge; couldn't get any BBC channels at all.
Courteous, friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Reasonable price. Lighting in room is too dim to do any work at desk. (Had the same problem on my previous visit.) Lack of radio or clock in room.
Have stayed here a number of times visiting family in the area due to it's good value and convenient location, but it did need a lot of improvements as far as decor and repairs were concerned. Is now under new ownership and the bar and dining areas have new carpets and furnishings and the whole place is gradually being "freshened up", huge improvements. Pleasant and polite management and staff. Good breakfasts. Still a lot to do but it is heading in the right direction. Just hope the proposed defence cuts to local RAF bases don't have too much of an effect on the future of the hotel as most local businesses have a strong reliance on the trade they bring to the area.
The location is supurb The rooms are old and in need of repair. Only 1 light bulb worked and had no hot water for the three day stay. Was told an engineer was fixing it!
Price and facilities are compatable. Breakfasts were good. Cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom. Shower was also dated. However, the evening meal that we had on Sunday night with 2 guests left a lot to be desired. Potatoes and vegetables were half cooked and cold when served. Good food ruined. I informed the receptionist on Monday morning when leaving.
The food was excellent and of a very high standard. The room was clean and tidy but a bit on the small side
Staff friendly and helpful. Food plain but good. Location good for what we required and will go back again.
it was good value for money, however we had no view whatso ever from our window and wondered whether this is why the room was so cheap the main point we was disappointed with was there was a lot of dust on the floor around the chairs bed and carpet looked like had been cleaned in years and there was mould on the walls
We arrived before 2pm check-in but staff had the room ready and we were able to get in early which was a big help as we still had a few things to do prior to attending a wedding.
It was a short-notice arrangement due to the adverse snow conditions. Hotel nearly full!
Sorry we were trying to fill in last questionaire and it got lost. Service was brilliant, value for money good. Staff approachg to cutomers was very good, especially duriong breakfast period. I will give 10 out of 10 on all except you failed on second night when I returned from a gruelling experience as witness at court and you had not replenished coffee and tea making facilities. I was gutted! and too tired to sort it out.A smaal point,n when one comes home afyter buisiness, one does not want to come home to an empty cupboard. I am not having a serious winge, as I have stated service is generally good, but this I found disappointing. In short, bloody gutted! As I have stated 10 out of 10 in all but one. Please remedy this. No coffee, tea or milk on second day. Gutted!!"
it was comfort there isnt a facilty to help with heating baby bottles (i'e a microwave)
It was clean and convenient; staff were pleasant and friendly. Had to walk to building next door to restaurant past smokers.
Ideal location for purpose of visit No telephone in the room
Good sized room, clean, good service, comfy beds, food excellent. None
The hotel was warm, comfortable, the staff were excellent in giving us help, It was exactly what we needed for a short stay. Can honestly say we were pleased with everything
Pleasant staff, clean Thin walls

The Hotel was in a beautiful location, very clean and well maintained. The proprietors were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. We will be back to this Hotel again. No complaints.
The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. The view from our room even our bed was beautiful, our dog was very welcome which was great for us.It was very clean. Would have preferred proper shower and lino on bathroom floor. Also the bar to have been open a little later.
Service , Location No evening meals
Lovely big room in a hotel in a beautiful location. Owners were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast arrangements were super...didnt feel rushed at all.
The location was amazing - just a short walk across the garden and you are on the sea front. The hotel/guest house is fascinating, a real sense of times gone by, the view from both our room and the breakfast room were amazing - it's worth paying that bit extra for a sea view. It was a challenge finding eating establishments close by as the hotel does not do evening meals, but the staff provided a map and a list of places to try.
Very helpful & friendly staff
Excellent location and very welcoming and friendly; good breakfast.
Friendly staff. great location. Hotel generally quite "tired"
Great setting, professional and friendly
Something close to perfection, not a thing out of place, clean fantastic decor and fantastic owners Not one thing I can say was wrong or out of place, I would return anytime.
Food was reliably superb. Staff extremely helpful and attentive . Grounds were beautiful. Rooms s comfortable mix of contemporary and vintage. Hotel manager went out of his way to make your stay wonderful. Nothing, this was the highlight of our two week trip in terms of hotels.
Cleanliness and friendliness of the staff All perfect
the food was very good, and location was handy just a few hundred yards from town centre. the room view was lovely, until you look down below the window to a skip full of rubbish and bins.therefore unable to keep window open due to fly's coming into the room.
Very nice room in a central location in Nairn. Great views of the Firth
Nice small family run hotel with a great location. Bar can be a bit lively with a fight breaking out with some locals. Room was a bit small, no car park however ok in off-season as you can park on street. Summer would be another matter.
Excellent customer service, food outstanding, gorgeous room, would stay again definately.
Friendly easy going atmosphere, excellent real ale bar, good restaurant
Very friendly staff, lovely location, great bar and tasty food. Room was a decent size. Very pleasant stay. A few minor things were missing, like shower gel, that I would expect from a 3-star hotel.
The people Nothing it was exactly as described in the website even down to pointing out which rooms can be affected by noise.
excellent breakfast and eveningmeal dodgy shower
There was a large selection of Real Ales. The broadband connection didn't work.
Excellent location, value and facilities. The only thing I would have liked that we didn't have was a sitting room to share with our friends.
Good quality for money as most scottish guest houses. Beats the crap out of most hotels for the same amount of money! No, very good value for reasonable money.
Excellent location, just off the main shopping street, with it's own parking. Furniture rather old-fashioned but then it suits the house. Good breakfast.
Friendly staff; comfortable room.
Convenience, clean, comfortable, value Nothing
A friendly welcome and an exceptionally good breakfast Not really!
Beautiful and well equipped accommodation. Nothing
Very comfortable bed.
It's an easy walking distance to town and great access to the Whisky Trail The bed a little lumpy
Very friendly welcome Breakfast was outstanding quality with locally sourced foods. The en suite let this visit down very small and the shower was a trickle of water which you had to move around to try and get covered.
