No smoking room with a terrible cigarette smell!
The price was OK
Older property with lots of decay and overused mattresses.
shuttle to airport was ontime and fast. Friendly driver. Front desk staff were good
rooms were dated and pool not the cleanest looking. Nothing close by. Need a cab to get anywhere
The only nice the was the driver
I was quickly transferred out of a room to one that didn't smell like smoke. Updated TV, and didn't expect a fridge because some of these older and cheaper hotels won't spare that kind of expense, but there was a fridge (and microwave, I think)
Staff member that checked me in was sloooow. I think it took about 15 min for her to complete check-in and give me my key. Plus, I had already paid for my room and did pre-check in through here, so I don't know what the holdup was. Even though I was transferred to a room that didn't smell like smoke, I could smell the smoke coming through the bathroom vents from the room upstairs. They should really have smoking rooms on one side of the building and non-smoking on the other. Rooms were dated and could use improvements, but that's to be expected.
The room was fine.
The shuttle service stops at midnight and had I know that I wouldn't have stayed here because my flight didn't arrive until 11:55pm. The manager seemed in-different to my problem with the shuttle service and was not going to do anything about it. She also didn't know what the website said about having shuttle service.
The man on staff was very nice and helpful.
We arrived late late after a long days travel and couldn't even get into the room because the keys wouldn't work. The man on staff was very nice and helpful, but the hotel was a dump. It's in a bad neighborhood, was very dirty and smelled like cigarettes and booze. We straight up cancelled and left
The closeness to airport... Premium channels..staff friendly ...police on duty... Hot water
beds .insects .smoke odor rooms. amenity sparse .Towels Rooms dirty.. fridge dirty. mold shower. drapes
Proximity to airport and shops,
Hotel had no record of my reservation when I attempted to check in. I reserved in April for July. Calls had to be made to verify payment and reservation. This took a long time. Room was small. Refrigerator and microwave were in the bathroom (unsanitary?). Staff in the breakfast area were unfriendly, unhelpful and generally unpleasant. On Friday night when I arrived the breakfast area had taken on the atmosphere of a Jamaican nightclub- loud music (noise?), mob behavior by patrons and a totally ghetto atmosphere. I was amazed that the manager seemed to have no problem with this atmosphere. Definitely not a good first impression. A police patrol was parked there every night in the parking lot- not a good sign. I will not stay here again and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone with small children or those who want to relax.
I like how friendly the staff were
I didn't like the fact that the hotel is right next to the train tracks. The noise didn't bother me because our room was on the other end. They also took a $50 security deposit when you check in and take $2 away for each night. When we checked in and went to the room there was used condoms in the trash which was disgusting to me. They didn't give us new rolls of toilet paper, the bathroom had a roll of toilet paper that was almost finish. The room service took the used towels but didn't replace them with new ones. There was also a lot of men outside at night next to my room. That was kind of crippy. They didn't bother us though. Other than that, it was a good stay.
rate, room had new carpet and bedding, mini fridge and microwave
not the best location
very close to railroad tracks and I95 could hear traffic all night long and the blowing of the train whistle
Good location if flying in or out of FLL. Convenient airport shuttle.
Not much food selection if you don't have a vehicle. Stay away from Checkers
Breakfast was terrible and expensive. Waited more than an hour to get a ride to the cruise line.
Room and grounds were clean. Pool area well maintained
Local trains constantly going by blasting their horns
Location was beside a major rail line - trains all the time They tried to upgrade the place but it is still poor I would not recommend this hotel
Breakfast was mediocre. Location is great if you are going to travel
There was always something going on. 1st night the cops went to the parking lot due to some unrest. There was always vomit somewhere. The second night there were some people arguing in front of my room. I had to change my keys 3 times because they did not work. One had to really push the door to open. Awful awful awful
Conveniently located, good rate for weekend we were booking
Very dirty, our sink as well as the bar of soap were CLEARLY used \ not cleaned between customers. When brought up to front desk they said "feel free to let the manager know" instead of switching the rooms or sending someone to rectify the error in customer service
-We were going on a cruise our of Port Everglades and this hotel provides a free shuttle service from the FLL airport and the port, which is why we chose it. The shuttle service was very good and timely. -I didn't need any help from the staff, but the check-in and check-out process went fine.
-Location of the hotel is not good, and there is no restaurants within close walking distance(closest was a Denny's about 15 minutes away). The restaurant that is shown to be next to the hotel on google maps and etc. does not exist. -The room was not the cleanest, and the sheets were stained in multiple places on both beds. -Upon lifting the bed mattresses, one of them had a fairly large foldable knife underneath it. This was surprising, but not completely surprising given the type of people I saw staying in the other rooms. I didn't feel that safe staying at this hotel. -There was only shampoo provided, no conditioner. -The breakfast was very limited, basically just cereal, oatmeal, a few fruits, and that was about it. -The room is not insulated against sound very well, and anyone talking while walking by was easily heard. -Power was going out when we left, not sure if this was a hotel problem or an electric company problem.
Overall experience was good
The rooms were ok and the breakfast was good
The reception staff were so rude and unfriendly
The room was clean, with a modern look and comfortable. They let me use their computer, wi-fi and printer for free. The Office and the breakfast area were very good. Nice breakfast! Better than I expected!
The overall outside area of the hotel looked dirty. The elevator was very slow, so we had to use the stairs all thru the fourth floor, continuously. The train passes by very nearly and you could hear the sounds of the train until late at night and very early in the morning.
The only positive about this motel was it was close to where I needed to be
Room smells like an ashtray, bed was uncomfortable, sheets were old and dirty looking. Upon getting into the room, safe doesn't work, fridge is leaking and lights in the bathroom don't work. We got there around midnight so we were to tired to walk back the office to complain. We figured we are just using the room to store our luggage, sleep and shower. When we went to bed, the train comes by every 15-30 minutes and because this place is located right next to a track in an intersection, it blasts is horn every single time. The crowd here was a little bit shady looking too. People blasting rap music at 11pm. To top off our stay, we had to get up super early for our flight, 1am the "false" fire alarm goes off. Oh and don't forget the $2/day service fee for the safe and to use the phone. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. Days inn should be embarrassed. I should've just slept in my car....
It was old, dirty, the website said it had a restaurant and bar, and had neither!! There was water leaking everywhere outside from the air conditioners, and there was a railroad track directly behind the motel - maybe 50 feet away. The train ran about every 20-30 minutes. The room I stayed in had a hole in the bathroom wall, with toilet tissue stuffed in it. Overall BAD EXPERIENCE!!!
They handled my 3am shuttle ride for me so I didn't have to look for one myself.
There were bugs everywhere. It was near a busy train track where the train would routinely blow their horn. And there was no sound insulation between rooms nor between the room and outside.
I choose the hotel for a shuttle to the airport. Upon check in I was told that the first shuttle was 6:30am (not early enough for my flight) and if I needed one before that there would be a charge. The room was marginal, the noise incredible (right on the highway) and every hour a train whistle that could wake up the dead. Did not sleep a wink and paid $150 and still didn't get a ride to the airport. Oh and then there was someone who tried to break in by jiggling the door handle in the middle of the night. Then I heard them at the neat room down. Days Inn should be paying me for this night. I'm sure you won't put this in \your recommendations and I will be checking to prove it!
