The Ocean Beach Palace Hotel and Suites is just five minutes from the Atlantic coast in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and places visitors less than 10 miles from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Convenient for those departing from or returning to the Port Everglades Cruise Port, it is also great for those eager to enjoy the many shopping centers scattered around the city center. Some of the attractions and destinations a few miles of the hotel include Bay View Drive Park, Bonnet House Museum and Gardens, The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale Shopping Center, Pompano Pier, Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, and many more. Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Beach is less than 1/4 of a mile from the hotel, too.

Noted as a somewhat luxurious spot, the hotel features free parking, shuttle services to and from the airport or the port area, outdoor spaces beautifully furnished as sun decks and terraces, parking (for a fee), business services, a concierge desk, 24-hour front desk, and its lovely pool area with loungers, beach chairs, tables and gathering areas. There is also a popular in-house restaurant by the same name as the hotel specializing in seafood dishes.

Pros:Location was good easy to find. We had an overnight stay which was fine. They did have an enclosed patio with pool was good but I saw a deck on top of the building for sunning super cool feature because all beach area across road was all large hotel private property.
Cons:Had to check in next door which was a much nicer building and pool. We were in old building that had been upgraded awhile ago because the 2 queens were in that building. No fan in bathroom had to open little old window.

Pros:Clean rooms, spacious rooms but badly laid out.
Cons:We all know first impressions count and when the reception staff and supervisor are rude, insulting and argumentative, it does not bode well. We had prepaid for 2 rooms but were expected to sign for $134 'as terms and conditions', well the majority of your guests maybe naive enough to do this, but frequent worldly travellers are not, and insulting behaviour does not improve your position. The rooms are clean, but have very poor, very badly laid out facilities. Only one mirror in the small sink area right beside the microwave and coffee making is not practical. And with no plugs accessible using travel adaptors near the bed this just typifies the poor design and lack of attention to detail. No breakfast or food at all. The 'palace' is nowhere near the ocean or beach and is beside a very busy road with very poor soundproofing between rooms or the road. At our time of visit there was roadworks outside but of course this is not the hotels fault however the lack of soundproofing made it worse from 7am to 7pm. Terrible hotel was many issues to be avoided.

Cons:cleaning staff really loud from 7.30am on, yes ready to get to work but kind of annoying when you're on vacation.
