Run-down, dirty hotel
This hotel was so horrible that the only thing I can say is that the bed slept okay and the shampoo smelt good.
Run away! This hotel felt more like a dirty frat house. The couch and chairs had disgusting stains everywhere. The tubs were rusted, bugs in the light fixtures, cracks in the faucet...the list goes on. We stayed in a suite and had to change rooms because neither shower worked. The next suite only had one of two showers that worked, one working hairdryer, and no iron to go along with the ironing board. The trains running every five minutes made it hard to converse or sleep. These are also outside units with stairs so they were terrible for my elderly parents. At $130 a night I would have expected better. There are better choices out there. Learn from my mistake!
The location was just on the edge of downtown. The staff were friendly. The hotel was cheap thankfully.
We were moved from our first room because despite the no smoking signs, clearly there had been, and when we tried to sit on the bed it almost flipped over because the frame was missing and had been replaced with just a few cinder blocks. Room 2 smelled less of smoke, but we found lots of mold and mildew on things we tried to use, such as towels. The sheets were too small for the bed so kept coming off on the rare occasions we could get them to stay longer than a couple minutes. The humidity in the room destroyed several of our groceries on the first night, and anything we didn't take with us, was soaked through by the time we returned. We wanted to go to another hotel after this, but unfortunately downtown was sold out for an event, and we did not have much confidence in trying our luck with a third room. By the end of our 5 day visit, we were both sick from exposure to the fungus and humidity. Previously I had stayed at one of their properties in San Antonio aand loved it, but this one was clearly not up to the same standards. I will not be staying here again.
Time for renovation
Dated room, noise from overhead, weak WIFI, grounds maintenance
Solid location, older facility in need of some renovation
Location was helpful as it was close to the hospital. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. Price was fair compared to other properties in the area. Appliances worked and it was nice to have added outlets and USB chargers available.
Older property that could use a bit more rennovation. Didn't stay long enough to use the ammeneties, but the carpet and flooring, along with the paint could just use some attention. Also there were some oddities with the free wifi that looked like someone was trying to capture traffic so I just used my own provider connectivity.
Won"t Use Again
Nice location That"s just about the only nice thing to say!
Did not get what I signed up for; not one trash can in the entire suite; not a clean smell to the room and no offer to help with resolution.
A nice place, a great location
The room was very comfortable and cozy. Located near several points of interest. Easy access to downtown area.
Vehicle parking too cramped, especially for pickup trucks. When booking a room, I wasn't given option to ask for room downstairs.
Very good overall
Friendly staff, large rooms, outdated but clean. Had no complaints about my stay there and would stay again. Conveniently located.
Didn't get my receipt.
We stayed here for budiness
The room was amazingly clean and quiet, great restaurants and Fresh Market (like Whole Foods) with short wslk. Great walking/biking paths at back of property - paths went on for miles along the Trinity River. Bed was VERY comfortable. Good breakfast offered every day. Very friendly staff.
Room was clean and the beds comfortable. Clean sheets and plenty of towels. The breakfast was good. The evening mixer with wine was a welcome perk. The free fruit and hard candy in the lobby as well as the free bag of popcorn and coffee in the room were nice touches. I did not have the chance to use the pool or the workout facility, bit they looked nice and well kept.
Vanity sink stopper was broken. Had to use kitchen sink to wash up and brush teeth. Shower head in bath was too low. Traffic noise loud in rooms next to the road.
My room was clean and tidy. There is a great living space, which includes a comfy couch and TV. There is also a kitchen.
The bed wasn't very comfortable and the comforter was almost too thin. The room did not have sufficient lighting- everything was very dim.
Good location . Helpful staff. Decent food.
Brown widow spiders + webs and egg sacks and dead bugs about the hotel room. Please note the black and brown widow spiders are some of the most poisonous creatures known to man. Their toxin is capable of killing a child, and there were several of them in our room. I have pictures also
