You can engage in various activities, such as snorkelling, windsurfing and fishing. The nearest airport is Ikaria Airport, 1 km from the property.
Pros: great location (if you have a car) reasonable price helpful owner tasty breakfast which you make yourself
Cons: Nothing important. Maybe only if you run out of something, you must ask the owner for it. Would be more convenient if the owners checked and refilled the fridge themselves. No wifi and weak mobile internet, which, however, doesn't necessarily have to be a negative... ;)
Pros: Everything! The accomodation itself, the way it is kept, the location in the hills overlooking Faros village, the beaches in the area. A little paradise.
Pros: Lovely rooms, with views down the valley to Faros beach, great walking nearby to stunning vistas and beautiful beaches. Friendly cats & chicken added to the experience. Would definitely stay again.
Pros: Drakanos room is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the tranquility and the stars gazing. The rooms are brand new, comfortable and very clean. Eleni is a fantastic and helpfull host who provides freedom and a very good breakfast! The location is perfect to enjoy at least 3 of the most beautifull beaches of Ikaria.
Pros: The view from the room is beautiful and the paths to Drakano tower and Iero beach are beautiful. We were also offered to pick fresh figs from the garden, which was very kind.
Cons: The only thing is that the road to the hotel is "dirty", but only for a small part.
Pros: Beautiful quiet location off the beaten track
Pros: Amazing place surrounded by beautiful nature in northern part of Ikaria Island, Greece. Very quiet, blue sky, full of stars in the night, untouchable beach is a walk distance (15-20 min.) Hand made honey, jam are provided with free breakfast in our room. We enjoyed fig picking in a garden, too. Owner Eleni and her husband keep domestic fowls and other animals. Close to the airport where we could meet her. She also drove us to seaport when we took a boat to Samos Island.
Cons: Nothing At first we were amazed by a very local - far from town (15 min. down slope walk,) without any rent-a-car. But after all we really enjoyed our staying.
Pros: The room is great, the bed comfortable, the owners helpful and welcoming. Very nice vibe. Incredible 30 min walk to Agios Georgos beach.
Cons: Beautiful place. 15 min walk from the village, so it's good to have a car or bike.
Pros: It was very clean and the bed was comfortable .
Pros: We stayed in "Drakano rooms" only one night but when we come back to Ikaria for sure we'll stay more. The hotel is very close to the airport and the owner picked us up upon our arrival. The hotel is situated on a hill outside Fanari and there's a wonderful view from the rooms! The village with its beach and tavernas is 10 min walking from the hotel. There is a private parking for those travelling by car. In the rooms there's a small kitchen with all what you need in order to prepare a breakfast or coffee. The owner takes care to have products for breakfast in your fridge so you can prepare it and enjoy it whenever you want on the nice terrace.
Cons: There was no wi-fi in our room but if you need a relax then this could be an advantage :).
When you stay at Smaragdi Rooms in Ikaria, you'll be near the beach and steps from Therma Beach. Guests may use a ferry terminal shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nikoleta was wonderful as the owner that supervised the studios on a daily basis. She had wonderful suggestions about the area and was always available to help. The location has studios with or without a shared kitchen. The choice is personal. Nikoleta is a wonderful hostess and the location ideal to explore the local beach in Terma or nearby beaches and therapeutic thermal springs!!!!!
Cons: Not applicable. Excellent location. There is nothing negative to mention. This is an ideal location to relax and recharge your batteries. The overall environment is very soothing.
Pros: Excellent location to enjoy the thermal baths and explore the south east part of the island, lovely staff, beautiful clean rooms.
Pros: The rooms are new and very nice. Very nice terrace where you can sit and enjoy some relaxing time. Location in the small town is great. Nikoleta, the owner, is very friendly.
Pros: + clean rooms + quiet + kitchen +++ value for price in Ikaria. especially during June
Cons: - location on the street - no breakfast - good choice for ikaria
Pros: The hostess was lovely and extremely helpful. The accommodation was in the best location, with a balcony view of the beach. Absolutely amazing experience.
Pros: Walking distance to the beach!
Pros: We had the 2 bedroom studio. It has not only the terrace, but also a balcony with a clothesline. The bathroom has an excellent shower - large enough and the curtain really works. :) The mosquito net is also practical. Everything was absolutely clean. If we were going to Therma again, we would definitely want to stay here again.
Pros: Always a pleasure to be welcomed by Nikoleta
Pros: Close to beach and restaurants, very good air conditioning. Difficult to find parking during the day but not impossible if you don’t mind walking. No stairs to climb.
Pros: Perfect clean! The lady very nice and so kind, she really helped us. Very nice room for 4 people: with 2 balcony and air condition.
Cons: In ikaria it needs more bus and taxi and cars to rent in high season.
Evon’s Rooms is just 100 metres from one of the finest beaches in Ikaria, Faros Beach. It offers self-catered accommodation with furnished balconies or terraces that face the garden or the mountains and sea. Each of the air-conditioned rooms comes with a private kitchenette. A satellite, flat-screen TV, a fan and a hairdryer are included. Laundry service is provided upon request. The hotel’s cafe bar serves snacks, drinks and delicious crepes. Internet access is available here, as well as billiards and a table football. Evon’s Rooms is conveniently located only 1.5 km from the island's airport and 10 km from Agios Kirikos Port. Therma Hot Springs are 9 km away. Drakano Tower is at a distance of 1.5 km. There is a mini market right next to the property, and free private parking is provided on site.
Pros: Evon is really friendly and helpful so his accommodation quickly feels very much like home. The apartment is well equipped so that you can do your own cooking if you prefer and has a beautiful view from the balcony. It's great that the cafe is literally next door (in fact part of the same building) and you can eat breakfast there each morning or pop in later in the day or evening to have a meal or read your book with a drink. Their fried eggs for breakfast are brilliant. Ikaria's a really unspoilt island and there are a couple of little restaurants along the beach and many local walks. We took a taxi into Agios Kirykos, the capital of Ikaria, and from there walked to Therma. For anyone wanting to explore the island more it would be better to hire a car. The Airport is incredibly near, but totally invisible from Faros, and Evon organises to pick you up. Noise from the airport is definitely not a problem as there are literally only about 2 flights a day (small aircraft) and We were fascinated by watching them land.
Cons: Although Evon has been brilliant at marking the walks out with red paint markers, some of the terrain is a bit rocky and can feel a little steep and hazardous in places. We recommend you wear good shoes! We went the first week in October and the little shop next door was just closing for the season. Didn't really matter to us but might be important for anyone going late in the year who wanted to self cater.
Pros: Evon's rooms, only a 1 minute walk to the beach, are very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with kitchenette and good sized bathroom. Evon has thought of every possible amenity that guests might need including iron/ironing board, a laundry room, and even fold-up chairs and umbrellas for guests to take to the beach if required. Evon is the perfect host, very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Cons: The refrigerators in the supermarket next door are unfortunately placed against the adjoining wall, creating some noise. Also, the supermarket needs to address an issue with water flowing into the road and guest car park.
Pros: Fantastic location close to great beaches and sites, facilities, food and wonderful people and service. Great management, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms.
Pros: Nice room in lovely place. Evon is always glad to help you, be sure to ask him everything you need about your stay and about the island. It was a pleasure to talk to him. Pebble beach is in 1-2 minutes, as well as tavernas. Local supermarket next door. The room is equipped very well: fan, air conditioning, window shutters, anti-moskito net on the door and window, stove, fridge, plates, cups, iron etc. In the end of July there was small amount of people on the beach. The water is extremely clear. You can go to other beaches as well, there are some of them in distance of 2-4 km. Many of them are beautiful. Also Faros is a great choice if you like pedestrian walks to some interesting places. And consider taking an all-day-long tour around Fourni, ask Evon about it. About bus timetable or possible excursions, be sure to ask Evon. He knows. "Be sure to ask Evon" is the rule number one) I came here for one week and then I wanted to stay much longer. Lovely, truly relaxing island, and Evon's rooms is comfortable choice to stay. PS. I took most of these photos in the evening. Actually the weather was very sunny every day!
Pros: Evon is the best host ever. The location is great and the rooms are comfortable and spotless.
Pros: The host, Evon was very kind and welcoming and the location was beautiful and peaceful. 100% recommended.
Pros: Evon met us at the airport even though we were renting a car. He was very charming and showed us to our rooms right away.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Pros: The host was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
Pros: Near the beach and attention to details. We only spend one night there but it was one of our best nights in icaria
Pros: The rooms are what you expect and are set in a beautiful garden. Where this place really shines is the attention to detail host Evon gives his guests whether it be organizing activities or facilitating mingling with other guests. Nothing is too much trouble. When I arrived he took me and another guest on a spontaneous tour of the surrounding areas. The food cooked by chef Kostas in the cafe is so good you don't want to eat anywhere else on the island.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Very good location, super clean , housekeeper very friendly and helpful. Totally recommend it
Pros: Convenient location in the center of Fourni village, near the port, markets and restaurants. Good starting point to visit the very terrific beaches of Fourni by taxi or rented car/scooter. Friendly staff.
Cons: The room and the building are not particuarly nice. As a family we found it perfect as a place where to sleep but we woudn’t had enough space or facilities to have dinners / relax in.
Pros: Good location nice big room with 2 balcony’s with sea view . The room was of a good size with enough utensils for small snacks or a pasta .good sitting out areas towels changed often and cleaned daily.nice lining on beds . The host was very pleasant friendly and helpful you get your washing done and bought back to room at no extra charge . What more can I say but book up and get out here to this lovely bit of Greece. Thanks for a lovely stay .
Cons: The thing we disliked most was leaving this lovely little place .
Pros: Spacious room, very clean, nice balcony, well located, friendly owner. We would definitely come back!
Pros: We loved it
Pros: Room clean, tidy & a good size. Owner / staff very helpful. Good location just a little off the main area so quieter. Owner allowed us to keep the room beyond check out time as we had a late ferry (2200hrs) which made life easier.
Cons: First room had very bad drain smell, however another room was offered immediately without question.
Pros: Spacious, clean, quiet and very convenient positioning.
Pros: Very close to the sea, quiet and the host was very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and there was cleaning service almost daily.
Pros: frequent change of towels and bed linen
Cons: not all of the rooms are the same in terms of kitchen, balcony, noise etc
Pros: Just few meters from the center of the village. Two balconies. Last night we stayed in apartment 8 on the second floor: it has the best seaview unless it costs a bit more. The host is very kind and the apartments are cheap.
Cons: The furniture is old and some things to cook are missing. No hairdryer.
Featuring a snack bar with traditional flavours and free Wi-Fi access, the family-run Patras Rooms is located in Fourni Korseon, just 300 metres from the beach. Its air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony or patio overlooking the Aegean Sea or the garden. Fitted with tiled floors, the rooms of Patras are tastefully decorated with warm colours and dark-wooden furnishings. Each unit is equipped with a TV and a fridge. The private bathroom comes with a shower. A continental breakfast prepared with fresh, local ingredients is served daily at the owner’s snack bar, within 20 metres from the property. Guests can also enjoy light snacks, coffees and drinks throughout the day. Mini markets, café and taverns specializing in traditional Greek cuisine can be found within a short walk from Patras Rooms.
Pros: Clean, confortable beds. On the port but stil quiet.
Cons: The shower is very small. A kettle could have been nice or a discount at the cafe runed by the same family.
Pros: The room was only few minutes' walk from the port and very close to restaurants and cafes. The staff was very friendly and very relaxed.
Cons: The room did not have very good view and it was a bit noisy.
Pros: Patra's Rooms is perfectly located for everything and a short walk from the port. The hospitality from Dimitris was wonderful and I was made to feel at home. This is great basic accommodation perfect for the island hopper. Their little cafe at the front is a great place to people watch and they also do a magnificent choice of desserts to have with your coffee. Fourni is a wonderful island and it is easy to get about using Francesca the taxi driver - definitely one of the islands characters!
Pros: The room had a lovely sea view and was in a great location opposite the harbour. Nice balcony to sit out on. The bar served breakfast plus snacks and drinks all day until late, the staff were very helpful.
Cons: Room was perfectly fine but a bit on the small side with the bed against the wall on one side. The only thing I would change would be to have a little more space, but worth the compromise for the location and view.
When you stay at Anthemis Hotel in Ikaria, you'll be near the beach and steps from Therma Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Rooms were very clean and great for our family of 4. Just a few minutes from tavernas and the swimming beach
Cons: having to leave
Pros: Location and free breakfast which was offered after 2 days of our stay.
Cons: Ony once during our 5 days stay we had some warm water. And only because we came back to the hotel at lunchtime. No hot/warm water in the morning and in the evening. Only cold water to take shower. The sheets and towels weren't changed even once during our stay. The last day the bins weren't emptied at all. It wasn't worth the money we paid.
Pros: I have stayed at this hotel several time and always find it to be a very nice place to stay. In a nice location, nice rooms and everyone is extremely helpful and welcoming.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: A friendly and very helpful Manager and a good breakfast.
Pros: The room was spacious and had everything and more, an emergency sewing kit, shoe shine kit, iron and ironing board, shower cap and there was even a toothbrush and toothpaste kit.
Cons: There was nothing not to like
Pros: It is a very nice hotel located in a peaceful spot. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. The owner and staff are also very helpful and friendly. I have stayed here before and will again.
Cons: Nothing, it is a very nice hotel
Pros: Good location in the tiny village of Therma with some cafes and tavernas within walking distance and 5 minutes by car to Agios Kirikos. Regularly cleaned rooms and changed towels. Decent breakfast. Very kind and helpful owners and overall nice familiar atmosphere. Very recommended!
Pros: Great breakfast included in room cost
Cons: Could have done with a kettle in room
Pros: The balcony, the fridge and en suite The clean fresh sheets
Cons: No hook on wall for shower hose. The dull lighting, needs to be brighter. No light near desk.
Pros: The hotel was well situated in the village of Therma. The staff and owner were very helpful and the atmosphere was peaceful and convivial
Cons: Nothing that I can think off except the shower door in my room which needed some DIY

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle and a ferry terminal shuttle are supplied at no charge.
Pros: Very nice accommodation, beautiful view, friendly hosts.
Pros: We were close to the village center.
Cons: We have booked a superior double apartment with great sea view. when we arrived the owner claimed that the room was not available and this was due to wrong arrangments of booking.com. They settled us temporarily in the studios which have lower quality, amenities and space with the promise that later in the afternoon we would move up to our actually booked room. As soon as we settled they asked us to pay the price of the booked room which was higher than of the room that we actually stayed in. Later in the afternoon new guests arrived which were settled in the apartments and we were left in the studios without any explanation or excuse. During our stay we realised that more guests were having the same issue and this was actually a tactic of the owners. They were claiming that the better rooms were fully booked so that they would keep occupied also the rooms of less quality but still at the same price. Moreover they were very reluctant to accept payment by card.
Pros: Great view of the harbour.
Cons: Be prepared to do some walking.
Cons: Design of the room was not practical
Pros: Fournoi is an interesting island.
Cons: The experience in the specific establishment was a total nightmare for our short vacation. We verified our 5-day stay before coming to Fournoi by e-mail, sms and phone. In all occasions it was verified by owners that everything was ok. The same happened when we arrived at the port. No matter all these verifications, the room we had booked was not available for us for the first night of our stay. No excuses were offered, just a request to “trust them” that the lower quality room offered for the 1st night of our stay would be even better than the upgrade room we had booked! We accepted the situation due to the late arrival and the high season. We were asked to pay in full 3 days before leaving. We did as asked and then we faced a rude, insulting and aggressive behaviour by a member of the family. We ended up reporting them to the police where the family members continued to threaten us that we will “pay” for our actions, they will beatt us up, etc. We ended up empting the room for the last 2 nights because we were afraid for our safety. We paid in full. The case is now in the courts. We had never experienced such unprofessional and aggressive behaviour in any tourist establishment in Greece or anywhere in the world.
Pros: The only good thing about this apartments is the view and the lady who cleans the rooms. This lady is the only person of contact who is always there to help you.
Cons: The day of our arrival we went to the rooms and the cleaning lady (which was really kind and helpful) showed us our apartment and gave us the key. After 15 minutes while I was caring our luggage to the room, the apartments' manager found me and told me that she wanted to call me and tell me something important. After one hour she called me and told me that I hadn't booked the superior apartment, but the simple one (lower price). She also told me that because it was convenient for her (due to other bookings) she placed me to the superior apartment with the same price, but she asked me to cancel my reservation to booking.com, so she doesn't have to pay the charges. At first, I told her ok and hanged up the phone. After that, I immediately checked my reservation and as I was expecting I saw that I had actually booked a superior apartment (she lied to me). I said ok, she might be mistaken and I'll handle it later. After that, we met our neighbours and they told us that she did exactly the same to them. She asked them again to cancel their reservation from booking.com. So, it wasn't a mistake. After 2 days, we went to pay and I explained to her that she was wrong and that I had initially booked the superior room. After a long thought and with a bad attitude she admitted that she was wrong and that she was willing to reduce me about 4% of the total amount. I told her that I was not willing to cancel my reservation to booking.com (mostly to be able to write this review) and I paid what we had agreed in the first place. During our stay there, there were 2 times where her mother and the manager came and knock our door to tell us to turn off an outdoor light that we had in front of our door(the switch was in our apartment)! We also learned from some previous guests, that she left them sleep for 2 days in the beach because she double booked the room! We learned from local people that this is a common thing for her and that she does that all the time.
Pros: everything perfect, amazing view, very clean, and super comfortable. Highly recommended.
Cons: quite high on the hill, but it is a special value
Pros: Outstanding view from the balcony , good facilities and great care was taken decorating the rooms.
Cons: The position of the rooms , although it was stated it was in an elevated position it was a little too elevated....3 uphill slopes followed by 60 steps
Pros: The welcome at the port together with the free transfer service on arrival and departure are enjoyable. The view from the balcony is lovely, while the night sky would be amazing if street lights are switched off.
Cons: As already stated by other guests, the current booking manager (Ms. Irene, the owner's daugher) is unresponsive and untrustworthy. The room 16 is all day dark because of the single small window, and the bathroom is always wet, with neither windows nor ventilation. The room 9 is a luminous one, featuring 3 windows in the main room and a small window in the bathroom as well. However, room cleanliness is far below average and housekeeping is at random. No soap, no shampoo, no hair dryer, no dish cloth, no kitchen sponge.
Pros: Great views, spacious studio
