Pros: Everything! Amazing staff, facilities, food and service. Safari drives were exceptional - Roelof our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our last drive was a dream come true! We were also lucky enough to have the elephants come to visit the pool!l

Pros: All round fantastic place to stay. Incredible location with stunning views. The rooms and communal areas were exquisite, and finished to a fantastic standard. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all made fresh to order and were all delicious. The best part was no doubt the safari and our ranger Byron, he was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, funny and pationatte which made it an even more amazing experience. We would definitely be recommending this place to anyone who will listen! Thanks again

Pros: Lovely small friendly lodge with luxurious private tented bedroom suites and excellent freshly cooked food. Feels especially intimate because they have max 8 adult guests We met great fellow travellers there - you eat family style round a large table. Excellent twice daily game drives with Chris. They supply warm waterproof ponchos and hot water bottles in a cold morning Returning to find elephants drinking from the pool was the highlight
Cons: Maybe better WiFi ( slow when others are also using it, though I hate to criticise anything because it was such a fabulous place

Pros: Hillsnek was an ABSOLUTE DREAM! The camp is incredibly intimate, and the food is phenomenal! However, it's the staff that truly sets it apart from any other Safari experience out there. Everyone from camp personnel to the safari guides were unbelievably professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely just enjoyable to be around. Elephants drinking from the swimming pool is just the tip of the iceberg to this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Wishing and hoping to make it back one day! Does not compare to any other safari experiences we have had before.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Hillsnek is amazing.

Pros: We stayed at the Eagles Crag lodges which were totally amazing. The lodge was completely private with a private pool, superb room with 2 bathrooms one leading to an outside shower and beautifully furnished. All the staff were outstanding and couldn’t do enough for you, with excellent food choices and cocktails. The ranger we had (David) was outstanding and each safari (4 in 2 days) were different, exciting and gave a true insight into complexities of the animal world. We will definitely return. Thanks guys for making The Shamwari an experience we will never forget.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bukela gave us the full safari experience! Beautiful tents located in the middle of the African bush. We met a few wild animals around our cabin and it was very exciting! The food was delicious and just at the right amount. Game drives were EXCELLENT! We loved our ranger CV, he was very informative and he was the main reason we enjoyed our stay so much.
Cons: The reception wasn't as responsive as we wished... But not a big deal. We would have enjoyed more vegetables in our meals, especially breakfast. Other than that - PERFECT experience.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Could watch wildlife and birds from the veranda of our tent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was absolutely fabulous! 5 star and 10 out of 10 for everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the luxury tented accommodation which was exceptional in terms of spaciousness, comfort, facilities and location. The lounge, dining area, swimming pools and gazebo were also very attractively located and suitably luxurious but the best of all were the staff ranging from management to waitrons to the safari guide who took us on the game drives. We saw a good range of game animals from close quarters and were given some amazing photographic opportunities. We will certainly be back.
Cons: The roads need some attention but management stated this is being attended to. Not much else - an exceptional venue.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving the place
Cons: Got food poisoning while there and missed 50% of my game drives. The food poisoning was so bad my partner and I couldn’t leave our “luxury tent” for over 24 hours. The standard of food is defiantly not equal to a 5 star rating - with choice and presentation and quality equal to a 3 star at best. We had stains on our bed linen (twice even after it was changed when we complained) - there were two towels with stains on them. We had to request our room be cleaned as it wasn’t for 48 hours. The bottled water they provided has bits floating in it so we let them know and they had to get another supply in. I certainly could never recommend Bukela as I would be a hypocrite after the feedback I gave them to there face and in a written review for there own perusal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is amazing there. The room, the view, and the staff are just beyond.
Cons: the food could be lots better for the price, but it is far from bad.
7.0 Good
Pros: We loved the lodge and the game reserve! We had amazing game drives and the tents are beautiful! The waterhole in front of the pool is just perfect! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful all the time! we really had a great time at the Bukela lodge and the Amakhala reserve!
Cons: The food wasnt really amazing! It was good but sometimes is was served cold! There were stains on the bed sheets! The rest seemed perfectly clean though!

Pros: The whole experience of staying at Inzolo Lodge exceeded our expectations from the friendly staff, the knowledge and expertise of Michael and Justin on our game drives, the lovely food, and the comfort of our room with even a view from the floor to ceiling window in the shower. The candles and roaring fire when we arrived back at the lodge in the evening created a very magical atmosphere, we loved every minute of our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you.
Cons: We couldn't fault it at all.

Pros: It was a wonderful stay....there is really nothing to complain. Room, meals, drinks and the nice hospitality _ outstanding. Pros: Inzolo lodge is fantastic. The setting is breathtaking and the accommodation equally so. All of the staff are incredibly attentive and ensure you have the best possible stay. Our Ranger Justin was absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable and Provided great insight into the wildlife we saw. Thanks to all at Inzolo lodge!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience. The staff thought about everything. We unfortunately had some rainy days, but we received hot towels when arriving and hot water bottels and blankets were provided on the safari which was greatly guided by Justin. Very knowledgeable guide who showed us lion, buffalo, giraffe, cheetah, lots of birds, impala and more. Definitely worth the money!
Cons: Nothing. The wheather was not so good so we could not make use of the pool or outside bath tub, but nevertheless the comfort, food and service was great!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a peaceful place with a lovely view. The rooms are of top quality, the bed very comfortable. All you need is available in the room. The safaris with Ranger Cleo were highly interesting; we learnt a lot and saw some of the big 5. Thank you.
Cons: Communication with the reservations team was difficult and inconsistent. Lunch and dining is not at 5-star level; no wine pairing. Service staff is very motivated, friendly and helpful but insufficiently trained.

Pros: Where do I start? The relaxed atmosphere, the great service, the fabulous food, our fantastic guide, a great night's sleep in our cozy tent complete with electric blankets and a chocolate on the pillow. Amarula and hot chocolate sun downers. Absolute safari heaven. We will be back!

Pros: Great game drives with enthusiastic staff. Good food
6.7 Good
Cons: The price is crazy for the quality of the tent, the safari and the food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing game reserve experience. The tents were brilliant, food was great and staff really helpful. Two drives a day and we saw everything we had hoped to see including an elephant just next to where we were eating breakfast. Much better value than other places we looked at nearby because of the tents
Cons: The pool isn’t heated so very chilly for our May visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and staff were very helpful.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing!! The rooms were just gorgeous, you are in a tent but they are well furnished with a great bathroom area and lots of lovely extra details you wouldn’t expect. We had a little jar of flapjacks with the coffee facilities and the beds have electric blankets (we went in spring) which the staff turn on for you when your out on safari. There’s only 12 rooms and when you are on the balcony you see the game reserve but not any of the other rooms so it feels completely private. The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Special shout out to Seamus who was our guide on safaris. He had a great sense of humour and made the safaris fun and entertaining. By the last Safari he was the animal whisperer as every animal he mentioned we found almost immediately! You get 2 safaris a day so we had 4 over our 2 night stay and managed so see everything we wanted (except Leopards but not for the want of trying). All in all this place was wonderful, I would 100% go back if I’m able and will recommend it to everyone I meet from now on!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed the food, the game drives, the privacy of the tents and sitting around the the campfire following the evening drives.
Cons: Very little. Only real negative was half the floor of one of our tents was damp/ wet but was understandable considering the rain we had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well set up. Staff very accommodating. Food was good. Staff knowledgeable about the animals.
Cons: Game drive started a little late
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the most amazing experience experience ever, staff were incredible the place itself was out of this world.

Pros: The staff super friendly, ranger Jean Luc a real master!
Cons: One night we got out of water but it did not last long.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent, Evans our game driver was amazing! Suite was beautiful and extra honeymoon touches were really lovely. Would recommend
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The luxury tents were a fun way to experience safari. The bedrooms and bathroom were of a very high quality. The food was good and our ranger, Andrew, excellent. On our last day, he went in hot pursuit of a cheetah, which we saw up close! Highlight of the trip!
Cons: I booked this particular game reserve because they sell it as a Big 5 reserve, however our ranger didn’t even attempt to find a leopard on our drives and admitted no ranger had ever seen a leopard with guests. I know they are extremely elusive but it was still a little disappointing as we could have stayed at far cheaper game reserves if we knew the chances of seeing a leopard were practically nil!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Elvis was very welcoming. Due to a winter visit, we worried tents would be cold...but heater & linen made room toasty warm. Stunning tent setups. Breakfast had a great selection. Andrew was a fantastic ranger, lots of additional information given and 2 brilliant game viewing experiences.
Cons: Indicated it was a special occassion for our visit, nothing done to make our visit any more special or even said to us. Why even ask? Maybe a 1 night visitor is not priority... Staff were sometimes too absent during service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely perfect stay. Amazing room, comfy bed & good WiFi in rooms (each hut has its own WiFi box) Great shower & a bath that looks out onto the reserve. Saw giraffes, zebra, elephants, and many antelope from our room. We saw 4 of the big 5 on our safaris. The guides are soooo knowledgable. Blankets, snacks, wine provided! Also a special thank you for going the extra mile with catering for me (I’m vegan). I basically got to choose what I wanted to eat while I was there. All the food was amazing for me and my meat-eating partner.

Pros: Excellent guided game drives. Delicious breakfasts, and nice to have snacks and drinks part way through drives. Tranquil setting and the lodge had rustic charm.
Cons: Wifi didn't work in the part of the lodge we stayed in, although they were going to try to fix it (after we left) and we were able to use it in the main house. We would have liked to be able to go to bed a bit earlier (given the 5.30am starts for game drives) after the group 3 course meal each night!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Braun and Roger were amazing hosts. Braun helped with little things like carrying the luggage. Braun was friendly and had a good sense of humor, which helped us feel relaxed from the start. The lodge is basic but very cosy. There is a nice shared living room area for relaxing. The game drives into both Amakala and Shamwari were a treat! Braun was very experienced and went the extra mile to help us see animals up close (we even saw a cheetah feeding, and went on a long search for hippo). We also enjoyed the Koffie breaks as well the meals together! All in all - a great place! Would recommend it to everyone who wants a safari experience!
Cons: The accommodation was a bit cold; the heater helped a little.
6.7 Good
Pros: My wife had great difficulty getting in and out of the bed because it SO HIGH of the floor. She had to use the stool. The decor and furnishings were like from the 1920s. Braun the game guide was exceptional
