Pros: A lovely property in a good location. The room was nicely decorated, very spacious and clean. The owner was friendly and provided a tasty breakfast at a time convenient for us. Definitely good value for money too.
Cons: We would have appreciated tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We arrived quite late after traveling all day and not being able to make a hot drink was a bit disappointing. I am sure had we asked the owner would have obliged as he was very friendly and helpful but it would just be easier to have the ability to look after yourself in that instance.
Pros: A wonderful location half way from Calais to the Italian alps. Comfortable bed, excellent shower, very friendly host delicious breakfast with many local things
Pros: Amazing value for money, clean, modern, comfortable and very friendly. Great breakfast!
Pros: Perfect for a stopover as very close to the motorway but a beautiful, quiet and peaceful location. The room was much larger than anticipated, with an en-suite bathroom and separate toilet. The bed was a very good size and v comfortable. The walk-in shower was again very spacious and powerful with plenty of hot water. Everything was spotlessly clean (I’m really fussy) and you can tell the owners put a lot of energy into making sure everything is of a good standard. They were also very accommodating when we requested an early breakfast which was very much appreciated. The local town, Bar sur Seine, is very pretty and we visited Les Tonnelles restaurant on the recommendation of the gite owner which was v good. The breakfast (continental) was possibly the best we’ve had on any of our overnight stays in France (we travel a lot) - a bowl of fresh fruit salad, gorgeous home-made organic yoghurt and jams and croissant, bread etc. Orange juice and v good coffee as well. Exceptional value for money - cannot rate it highly enough and will definitely stay there again.
Pros: Great place to stop off en route to the Alps. Owners really lovely and great breakfast.
When you stay at Hôtel Restaurant La Mangeoire – Relais Paris Bâle in Montieramey, you'll be near the beach and steps from Forêt d'Orient Natural Regional Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Bar warm, welcoming with amazing 10m refectory communal table and benches. Resto also welcoming with good food. All good value.
Cons: No bedroom curtains.
Pros: Very clean!
Cons: The bed was very squeaky. The room, although very clean, was a bit clinical....some pictures and maybe curtains would make it cosier!
Pros: c;lean room. Excellent breakfast and perfect location for stop-off on way back from Courchevel.
Cons: evening meal i felt wasnt as good as breakfast.
Pros: Very clean, warm and good hot water. Quiet and relaxing.
Cons: The orange bed cover...very dated! Hard floors underfoot...carpets & soft furnishings would be cosier in the room and definitely in the corridors as the sound carried badly when people walked up or down outside...!
Located in Montieramey, Le Domaine de la Côte aux Chats is in a regional park, a 1-minute drive from Forêt d'Orient Natural Regional Park and 7 minutes from Lac d'Orient. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We wanted an overnight stay on our way to the Alps that offered a little bit of charm and this rather quirky BnB didn't disappoint. Beautiful vintage decor, charming hosts and a lovely continental breakfast in the morning.
Cons: There was a particularly noisy donkey nearby!
Pros: Although the house is near the main road it is secluded in private grounds among lovely mature trees that gives a nice quiet restful feeling. The house is of an interesting design with many intriguing and beautiful antiques that had been collected over the years. Baptiste the owner was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Having breakfast in the dining room surrounded by the period furniture and elegant decor made us feel like we had stepped back in time. All in all a very enjoyable stay
Pros: Big airy rom (30m2) and huge wonderfully decorated bathroom. Interesting architecture and thoughtfully decorated - plenty of antique furniture and objects.
Pros: Wonderfully decorate, spotlessly clean, fantastic breakfast and an accommodating host
Pros: Domaine de la côte aux chats is in a quiet, country location. On arrival, Baptiste the owner took time to give a brief tour of the property, including giving some history about it and the items it contains. The room was very clean and well appointed, but in keeping with the age of the house. Advice was given about places to eat in the evening. Breakfast comprised locally sourced produce. A lovely and interesting place to stay.
Cons: Everything was very good and Batiste was 5 stars always doing the best for all the guests. Excellent . I really recommend a stay in Domaine a la cote aux chats. Thanks
Pros: Very pretty, unique and quirky. Secure away from other property.
Cons: Would have liked a means of making a hot drink in the evening
Pros: The room, the house, the surroundings, all breathe the same vintage look and is nicely restored/renovated. You imagine yourself easily back in time. The continental breakfast is of good quality, fresh and local. The location is surprisingly nice with the opportunity to walk around the lake. (by foot or starting point 3min drive).
Cons: Everything is in a very nice, old-fashioned style, this however comes with some practical downsides. The bed for example was rather small to accommodate a tall couple like us and there are few electrical sockets. The sound insulation between rooms is like in the old days.
Pros: If you like your antiques then this is the property for you. Lovely house and grounds along with large spacious rooms. it felt as though I was stepping back in time to the start of the century - great.
Cons: The owner has a lot of antique items around the property which I was a bit unsure about especially when pulling on a suitcase in one hand and holding a large bag in the other - I was concerned that I might break something. The owner is very trusting. Not sure what I would do if I had young children as I would be concerned about breakages!

Pros: The room and other facilities.Breakfast was excellent. Hostess - so friendly!
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The place was idyllic, by the river, surrounded by garden, woodland and vineyards. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. There was tea and coffee available and a well equipped kitchen - it would have been possible to cook an evening meal. Everything was spotless.
Cons: We would have liked to have been able to have breakfast before 8.30. We had a lovely evening meal in a creperie in the village but there weren't many restaurant options, especially on a Sunday night. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk to the village but if the weather is bad or if you are not happy to walk back in the dark on the unlit path then you would need to drive to any restaurant.
Pros: Friendly, great room, value for money
Pros: Very friendly owners. Lovely clean rooms. Huge garden with outdoor toys for the children. Lovely and quiet location with a pretty little terrace for the evening!! We couldn’t recommend this B&B enough!!!
Cons: Nothing. We loved everything!
Pros: The garden on the seine, nice walk next door along the seine
Cons: Poor acoustic, the rooms are distributed around a common living space which is only good if shared with a group. We would have preferred being able to choose our breakfast table and not sharing.
Pros: Very friendly staff and immaculately clean. Excellent value.
Pros: Remote and quite location in the Champagne region and close to Renoir exhibition and Troyes.

Pros: The whole thing, quaint very old building, great restaurant. Nice
Cons: Steps and stairs. Can’t have everything
Cons: A bit tired and dated, but I don’t mind that.
