Pros: Great staff,great breakfast
Pros: This had the best breakfast we had experienced in our 25 days of travelling around America by car. It had some healthy options on the menu and the lady looking after the breakfast room took good care of the food preparations as well as the guests. We also had some help cleaning the ice off the car in the morning.
Cons: It was all good.
Pros: Great location and a very friendly and wonderful staff!! Such a beautiful place you have!! Wish we could of stayed longer!!
Pros: Location and breakfast.
Pros: The location was perfect, the entire property inside and out was pristine. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The lobby/breakfast area was very welcoming and the breakfast itself was excellent. We loved the location!

Pros: Impeccable professional service during the day. There are no five star hotels to stay at in DL, but this place is just as good as a five star to me. I would pay twice as much to stay here if I had to.

Pros: The salt water in the pool. The pillows were labeled soft and firm. Very polite staff.
Cons: We were on the lake side, but could still hear the trains. The tracks were across the street Breakfast was not included in the price.
Pros: The restaurant was great and the bar was fun. A pool for the kids and they let us use the back banquet room. They accommodated my hockey team along with the other teams that were staying there.
Cons: Nothing. It was great!
Pros: really clean main room & bath, super comfy beds and pillows, amazing view with big window and balcony, nice restaurant in hotel, friendly attentive staff, great kiddie pool area with floaties available for kids!
Cons: vent under curtain had bugs, patio needed a brush down, paddleboat was broken and a disaster. very noisy outdoor party made view not relaxing but quieted by 11pm
Pros: Bed was comfy
Cons: No free continental breakfast. Service is restaurant was fair
Pros: The staff and manager were great
Cons: The room heater didn't work. The manager moved me to another room but the heater didn't work very well and it was 4 degrees outside. Also the food at the restaurant was not very good
Pros: Friendly staff, nice rooms, and great pool!
Cons: No . Everything great! In the question below, they have me as Kathryn from Norwalk. I am from Minneapolis,Minnesota.
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, good food.
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable room
Pros: I liked that it was clean and inviting.
Pros: The bed was so comfortable, room very clean, great balcony. Staff super nice!
Cons: I liked everything
Pros: The bed was fine.
Cons: The alarm clock was not reset from the previous person that stayed there so it went off at 6:00 am, 6:05 am, 6:10 am, 6:15 am and 6:30 am. I could find the plug to disconnect it. The light on the phone kept blinking right next to my face while I was trying to sleep, they messed up my reservation and put me in the wrong room. When I went down to get the right room I got nothing but attitude from the person at the desk. They finally moved me to a pool side room and it turns out the ac/fan/heater pulls all the air from the pool room. I have overly sensitive skin and eyes so the entire night my eyes were burning and watering from all the chlorine in the air. Someone pooped in the pool so they apparently needed to out extra chemical in it and my room reeked of chlorine. Also it was extremely humid from the pool. They didn't bother to warn me of this when they needed to put me there instead of lake front view. The food at their restaurant was not up to par. My eggs were raw and I was scooping egg whites up, my pancakes we're like frizbe's, my nachos were dry and had very little topping compared to the massive amount of chips, the French fries were limp and soggy within 15 minutes of me ordering the food to getting it from them and opening it. The staff were all rude. I waited around to discuss my stay with someone and they never showed up and I had to leave. I called and got attitude from the person that was supposedly a manager and she said there was nothing they could do. $120 down the drain for a crappy stay at a large chain hotel.
Pros: we are supposedly booked in a room fronting the pool but upon check in we requested a room with the lakeside view. The night manager gladly arranged for a room on the 3rd floor, the lakeside view was perfect!!!! I had lots of pictures taken from the balcony of our room with the view of the lake and the boats at the dock.
Cons: the hotel could provide for at least bottled water in the room
Conveniently located on Route 10 and close to the downtown shopping area, AmericInn Lodge and Suites Detroit Lakes offers a great home base for exploring scenic northwestern Minnesota. From the mile-long sand beach of Detroit Lake to the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, there is no shortage of beautiful scenery to explore from our welcoming hotel.
Cons: The bed was lumpy. Not comfortable at all. The pillows were lumpy. There was noise in the hallway until 2 am. The shower head sucked. Not water pressure to rinse the soap off. It was cold in there when we got there. You would think if the room.ia rented you would turn up the heat.
Pros: Staff and breakfast
Cons: The pool and hot tub were a joke very very cold hot tub was freezing
Pros: I liked the location and the fact is my group coming in on Saturday night was probably pretty loud and we didn't get in trouble.
Cons: The sink area was super small for a group staying more then one night. Need to update the alarm clocks.
Pros: Great breakfast!
Cons: My son is asking for me to write to you and ask if the arcade games could get fixed and if could get more chalk for the pool table, thank you.
Cons: That bookings. Com messed up my arrival date
Pros: Pet friendly
Cons: They double billed me. Check your credit card statements !
Pros: Location to our activity. Would like to mention that the desk clerk allowed us to register/check in at 11 am as we drove by on our way to our intended destination & we didn't have to do it when we returned at 11 pm. The facility was well kept & clean.
Cons: Breakfast was hit or miss. Our daughter had hot breakfast w/ OJ & apple juice (dispenser was broken so they had a supply in the refrigerator) at 6 am. We had bagels & coffee at 7:30 am as everything was empty. A bit later, it was full of hot options.
Pros: The suite was roomy and clean. Quiet room
Cons: Hearing the trains
Pros: Angie, the desk clerk, was awesome. Very good personality, went out of her way to make our stay more pleasurable.
Cons: The water in the pool was frigid. You need to warm it up for us older folks.
Pros: Yes it was a very nice stay, comfortable and clean.
Cons: Nothing,it was good.
Pros: The staff were pleasant and the room was much nicer than expected. Will definitely be back!
Pros: Good variety for breakfast. Comfortable beds made for a great night’s sleep.
Cons: The pool was cold.

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Check in was easy
Cons: Beds were squeaky, outdated, no pool, not close to lake
Pros: Great value for the money. Clean rooms
Pros: Clean. Quiet . Cozy
Cons: Not much
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay there again.
Pros: Good breakfast selection and quality. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean.
Cons: The size of the breakfast room was too small. The AC unit was loud. The internet was spotty. Overall, we were satisfied, but the pricepoint could be lowered a bit to make the sma issues less of a concern.
Pros: The older guy who I think is one of the owners was very very nice! He was polite and talked to us every time we seen him during the week we stayed there. He was always busy working there too. We liked him. Hotel was clean!
Pros: walked to town
Pros: Very clean, good breakfast, comfortable basic accomidstions
Pros: The manager and staff were excellent and extremely helpful!!
Cons: Check out at 11am instead of 12 noon.
Pros: An exceptionally clean room. Everything was simple, but it was maintained to the utmost level.
Pros: Clean rooms. Staff great.
Cons: Breakfast area not taken care of.. very small. No room to sit or even get any items...
Pros: The staff was very polite. We were able to check in early without any problem. Nice Quiet location.
Restaurants and nightclubs nearby Guest laundry Outside outlets Super Start Breakfast Copy and FAX machine Free local calls High Speed Wireless Internet
Pros: Location is easy to get to and the staff was very nice.
Pros: Nice people. Decent shower.
Cons: Someone needs to put some money back into this structure. The place smells like a French whore house, seemingly to cover up the smells of the musty carpet and ancient furniture, but my room smelled worse. The room appeared like it had been cleaned, but looked and smelled like ALL of the furnishing should have been replaced ten years ago - stains on the chairs and I was afraid to sit on the sofa. The TV has static lines running through the screen on 3/4 of the stations. While much of sidewalk was somewhat clean of ice, but the back walk and parking lot was ALL glare ice! It was almost impossible to get to the sidewalk. I understand it's MN in the winter and things like that can happen, but there was NO attempt to improve the situation during the four days I stayed. This especially seems dangerous to me and could be a "law suit waiting to happen" if it's not corrected. I stayed at a Motel 6 once...once. While I admit I a got a better night's sleep at the Super 8 , the Motel 6 was nicer. Back to Hampton and other Hilton properties.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable.
Pros: Friendly staff and variety of breakfast items.
Cons: No elevator, carpet in hallways could be updated. Very over priced for the hotel. Stayed in much nicer Hotels which included a hot breakfast for much less than what they were charging. Cost was $180 a night plus $12 tax.
Pros: Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Food choices were good. Noise was minimal
Pros: Lisa at the reception desk was extremely friendly and helpful. There was some confusion about the type of room we were to have and she remedied the situation quickly. Room was well supplied with dishes and everything else we needed. Great place
Pros: The bed was good, the staff was wonderful. Breakfast was good also.
Cons: The walls are thin. Could hear people talking next door as soon as they woke up, and could easily hear the TV of the people on the other side as soon as they turned it on.... I should have had a sound machine.
Pros: Staff was outstanding in every way. Friendly attentive and available.
Cons: Television remote did not work. Recliner footrest broken. Both were promptly corrected by great staff but disappointing.
Pros: The owner is super nice!
Pros: Quit, easy access, great pillows, nice breakfast
Cons: Paid for a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds. Got a non-smoking room with 1 bed. Also paid more for the room than family members that had 2 queen beds and adjoining rooms.
Pros: Price was good and people seemed nice.
Cons: Room was missing some items I needed including shampoo. They also had a half used toilet paper roll in the bathroom when I arrived...which seems gross. Just a little thing you expect in a hotel...clean toilet paper:)
Featuring a convenient location just off Highway 10, the Country Inn and Suites by Radisson, Detroit Lakes, MN provides a quiet retreat within driving distance of a variety of local attractions and recreational areas. Facilities include 24-hour business center, indoor pool, hot tub, coin-operated laundry facilities, and free parking. Hotel permits cats and dogs with nonrefundable cleaning fee.
Pros: Room was very nice
Cons: No elevator.
Pros: The breakfast food options was good and they had cereal for me who is not able to eat gluten
Cons: We paid for a handicap accessible room and they tried to put us on second floor with no elevator. The bathroom was not accessible at all. The ice machine did not work and the pool was broken. No fitness room and the juice machine was broke. When I booked it said the renovation would be done by May and it is now July
Pros: Staff was friendly, particularly breakfast staff.
Cons: Cleanliness of room and several maintenance issues. The biggest problem was the bathroom floor which was wet with leaking water through the tiles. Some areas of the room (floor and shower) had not been cleaned.
Pros: The hotel is newly renovated and the pictures that are currently online do not do the hotels appearance justice at all. Clean rooms, friendly staff & if I stayed late enough for breakfast I would have enjoyed that.
Cons: I didnt have any issues with my stay!
Pros: Rooms newly renovated so nice and clean
Cons: No ice machines or work out room. TV a joke no channels to watch anything but old sitcoms
Cons: Yes, the staff at this hotel were terrible and we had to change rooms because the fridge and TV in the first one were broken. Then they didnt give us any kind of maid service until Thursday
Pros: The pool and spa.
Cons: Breakfast coulda been a bit better.
Pros: Staff was very polite & helpful. Newly remodeled (perhaps some work still in progress, but nothing to disrupt or distract from the experience) - and looking great!
Cons: The door on our bathroom ***CREAKED*** something fierce. As in you WILL wake up everyone else in your room when you use it early in the morning!
Pros: There was a long wait checking in because of problem with another guests booking. Check in wasn’t until 3 and we had to change and be somewhere by 4. We were late. So off to a poor start. Tiles missing in bathroom. According to the clerk, the ice machine had been broken for 3 weeks. Continental breakfast wasn’t kept stocked and coffee was empty. I was provided no paperwork at check in or check out. When I asked for a receipt, I was told they couldn’t give me one because they had to send it to booking.com. So, if I have any discrepancies with the charges to my card, I will have difficulty disputing.
Pros: Loved the hallway carpet & super-comfy, quiet, stylish rooms! So convenient with our puppy: lawn, patio w/ tables & chairs, backs onto a lovely residential street, 2 minute drive to a trail, key card access to back door. Good free breakfast (with real dishes), and coffee & cookies on the house all day. Convenient location for travellers.
Cons: The hot tub was a typical hotel hot tub. The jets weren’t as strong as I had hoped. Dear hotel please buy yourselves a walkoff mat for the back door to protect your gorgeous carpet!
Pros: The staff. The room was very comfortable and clean, but the staff was amazing. They worked very hard to make our stay a good experience, despite all the issues involved with the ongoing renovations. Amazing staff!!!
Cons: The website did not disclose that the hotel was undergoing renovations, and thus the pool was closed and the typical breakfast was not available. We went 30 miles out of our way so the kids could swim, and we didn't have to spend the extra money for food.
Pros: Did not end up staying as room was filthy.
Cons: Yes, was not able to get refunded. When we did not stay in our room.
With a stay at Five Lakes Resort in Frazee, you'll be on the beach, and 14.1 mi (22.6 km) from Historic Holmes Theater and 14.1 mi (22.6 km) from Lyle Crovisier Memorial Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was a perfect birthday getaway. We rented a cabin #3 which was right on the lake and the view was amazing! They have a lot of things which you can use during your stay like different kind of boats, playground, grills, fire pits, wooden swings and a lot more. Staff was helpful and very responsive.
Cons: Flies, tons of flies! I've never seen so many flies in my entire life. Maybe it was a seasonal issue, but they definitely need to do something about it. Also, none of the entry doors lock which was unexpected.
With a stay at Budget Host Inn in Detroit Lakes, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Historic Holmes Theater and Lyle Crovisier Memorial Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was one of the 2 hotels with a room available over a busy holiday so we were lucky to find a room at all.Owner was very accommodating and friendly, even let us check in early.Room was clean, efficient, quiet. It had all we needed for a quick overnight stay
Cons: It is no-frills, but we weren't looking for one with a restaurant or swimming pool. Just needed the essentials for a quick overnight in Lake Country, so it was perfect for us with an affordable pricetag.
Cons: Spartan amenities- one cup of coffee for 2 people; no guide for tv channels; no heat- had to walk to front desk for space heater; had to call front desk for WiFi pass word; old, thin towels; poor placement of clothing rod above cabinet-
Cons: front desk wasn’t manned when u checked out (9:00 am)
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful, room a little outdated but still very nice and clean. Great bargain
Cons: The trains came every half hour
Pros: I was avoiding bad weather while traveling for work so the price and location was convenient for what I needed. I had lower expectations given the price and name, so overall it's what I figured it'd be. I didn't need anything fancy so it was fine.
Cons: The rooms are quite outdated (which is totally fine); the room I had was really drafty (MN in Feb. so I can excuse that); the internet was super slow to the point of essentially being unusable but I didn't REALLY need it, so I never said anything. The main issue is there was a blizzard with substantial snowfall my first night (hence why I got the hotel) but there was an issue with snow removal. No one came to plow their parking lot until about 6pm the next day. Being that I almost got stuck leaving that morning, there was no way for me to return to my room that afternoon. Lance, at the front desk, was not very helpful with parking alternatives so after waiting a couple hours, I ended up parking at a business down the road and walking to my room (it was nasty cold, so that sucked). He was, however, kind enough to refund me for half a day for the inconvenience. And then there was an issue of being charged rather than refunded (I'm not sure why) but that was resolved after a few days. The slight savings in price was definitely not worth all the inconvenience.
Cons: The hotel is overpriced for the room quality. In addition, the manager of the establishment came across irritated when I arrived at 9:30 PM (desk closes at 10:00 PM). Then he attempted to overcharge me, and challenged me when I claimed the price was wrong
Pros: The rooms were clean
Cons: The wifi was not working even after I got moved to a different room. The coffee makers were dirty. The duvet/comforters were dirty. The second bed in the room I got moved to was rock hard and uncomfortable. There was no microwave in the first room I was in. There was no continental breakfast as advertised.
Cons: Room was not cleaded. Bed was not made. Found other peoples clorhes in the room. Ordered a double room got a single.
Pros: Unable to eat breakfast due to my schedule.
Cons: Continous improvement is a scheme I am passionate about but this facility gets a thumbs up from me!
Pros: Sitting outside the room and having free Wi-Fi and the nice size bed. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: The room was a little small, and the refrigerator seal was bad ,had to put a chair in front of it to keep it closed.
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the privacy was very nice.
Cons: Room service checking to see if anything was needed.
Pros: The coffee was good and hot.
Cons: Curtains were dirty and hokey. Door lock was difficult to open. Bathroom sink had lots of cracks in the bottom. VERY small room. TV remote did not work.
