Pros: They worked very hard to meet all our needs. Sophia and Regina were fantastic including washing our clothes and dry cleaning them
Cons: The back door needs to be available to bring in bags upstairs
Pros: Surprisingly good, brilliant property and with much more than you realize until you get there, stay at least two nights.
Pros: I loved Hotel de Charme! The design is exceptional, the stuff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fresh and tasty.
Pros: On arrival was not very sure. As the entrance is poor. However inside and the grounds are wonderful.

Cons: lumpy pillows

Pros: Friendly staff, super-comfortable room and great bathroom.
Cons: Nothing to menion
Pros: It was extremely clean, very quiet, and the staff was very kind. Breakfast basic, but good. A good location for exploring the area of small vineyards and Roman roads.
Cons: Not many cafes/restaurants within walking distance.
Pros: Felt like home due to perfect care from staff
Cons: It was just a bit cold in bathroom but outside was freezing
Pros: The quinta is located so that is easy to go by car to Porto or to the Douro valley or to Guimaraes. Good parking infront of the hotel, nice old building, room for table snooker. The ladies were nice and friendly, the lady who checked us in spoke English and gave us some good tips. Very clean.
Cons: I would recommend placing a mirror infront of the entrance on the other side of the road to facilitate going out from the parking to the road. Add tea to the breakfast.
Pros: The lady with long hair and a plait was absolutely lovely. There at night and early in the morning for breakfast and so helpful with directions and information. Breakfast was great too!
Cons: A chair to sit out at the front would have been nice but apart from that all was fine.
Pros: We came later than expected, but everything was okey!
Pros: the cleanest of the room and the very nice staff
Cons: location far way of the city without many options of transport .
Pros: Everything! Lovely!
Cons: I liked everything!
Pros: Excellent value for money. Friendly and efficient staff. Flawless wifi. Quiet location.
Cons: Breakfast could be more varied in terms of offer.
Pros: Clean, lovely staff, close to where we needed to be.
When you stay at Lousada Country Hotel in Lousada, you'll be near the airport and 11 minutes by car from Pao de Lo de Margaride. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: In general everything. Is a very country side location and a renovated old estate so it has a great atmosphere.
Cons: Our bedroom had a spring mattress, that can be too hard for who has bad back. I would recommend a foam mattress or maybe have foam toppers to help with that. Also we got the room in between rooms so our window was literally 10 cm wide and height. Just small square. Did ok for 3 nights but if are staying for more nights keep in mind room 209
Pros: The hotel is in the middle of vineyards and trees, so the scenery is really beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a relaxing environment, this is probably the place to go. I visited the hotel during the winter and for work, but I think this place will be much better experienced in the spring or summer time.
Cons: Our rooms were very far away from the reception desk, and we had to walk in the rain to get to the reception. Although the person at the reception desk was willing to come and pick us up from the room, if there were guests checking in or out, there was no one to help. The hotel should consider adding a service to transfer guests to the reception, especially during the winter. It was also a bit scary to walk to the room at night, as there were no lights to guide you through the property. Make sure you ask for a room near the reception! Also, the heading was not very good, making the room really stuffy and dry.
Cons: Bugs in the room woke me up at night and no refund when proof was shown of a dirty room.
Pros: The staff is really nice, the place is pretty. Internet works well and there are nice opportunities to relax within the place
Cons: The breakfast was very lousy (I had to spit back the juice in my glass)
Pros: Werry nice place says kaya
Pros: This place is just perfect to have some relaxing time in the countryside. I was especially impressed with the personnel, they were all so kind and helpful. Upon arrival the gave us a list with addresses of nearby shops and resto's. They even ordered for us takeaway. We had arranged for a babysitter to look after our 3 yo for one evening and I have to say Carmen was the best babysitter we have ever had, she took excellent care of our daughter. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa - had all necessary equipment including a small kitchenette. Lots of green spaces around, we enjoyed staying out and just breathing the fresh air. There is also a pool and mini golf, we didn't use them as it was a bit chilly but I imagine would be great when the weather gets hot. Overall, I definitely recommend the place for someone looking for peace and quiet in a green sunny setting.
Cons: Don't leave food on the table overnight - there are ants (it's the countryside so quite normal).
Pros: Location and breakfast Room good and comfortable Most staff friendly
Cons: No one on reception on arrival. All facilities closed. Had to phone local friends to get staff back to open room. One day out of 7 room not serviced. No where clean and comfortable to sit outside.
Pros: Very nice place with excellent Service .
Pros: The staff is friendly and help you with everything. I stayed in the houses which are realy confy and clean. All the neighborhoods are great.
Pros: Very nice rural hotel. The apartment was located in a old stone house, which was very moody place. Hotel area is very large, the surroundings of apartment are green and very peaceful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite tasty (maybe the coffee could be better ;) ). In one word - very nice, peaceful place with great staff.
Cons: Some of the parts of an apartment (for example doors) had signs of flood, which happened 2 months ago, the smell also sometimes was not so nice (humidity). But we understand that after this kind of situation the old stone walls need some time to get dry.
Pros: We had a great time, better than we had anticipated, as we expected it would be difficult to travel around without a car and feared we could feel a bit isolated. However, we had had such a nice and relaxing stay that we could happily spend a few more days there. Our accommodation was perfect, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful and we even made some friends. Two guided tours and a few hours by the pool were very good bonuses ;-) We were positively surprised with the transport services: although it is helpful to have a car, especially when travelling with children, it was easy to get a taxi service from/to Porto or the neighbouring towns. There is also a train from Penafiel (10 minutes drive), which we thought was a good option.
Pros: The property has years of history in each little details.
Pros: Very beautiful ancient property very well maintained despite its age, and just outside the city so it's very quiet and peaceful. The interior is filled with the original decoration, such as old paintings, vases and carpets which makes it fun to imagine as if you're living in the past. The building is surrounded by gardens and open spaces and some animals, and there is a swimming pool to cool off. The host is very friendly and will be happy to give a tour of the house with all sorts of historic explanations. The other guests were also very friendly and outgoing so it even made our stay even nicer.
Cons: Just nitpicking, but the gardens and some surroundings probably need more maintenance and improvements, but for sure they are already planned. The entrance is through an adjacent cheese factory and it's not really clear how to get to the building.
Pros: we stayed in this house for 6 days and it was the best choice . Pedro our host and friend treated us like family, Bed was super comfortable and every corner of the house was very clean ,the views the peace and quiet ,surroundings of the property, everything was perfect. Hope to go back again

Pros: The best thing about our stay were two staff members, Monica (reception) and Bruno (cafe). I loved the grounds and building; an old world feel yet modern flare and comfort. Very pretty facility.
Cons: Air conditioner in room was not working well. The room was a bit warm. The only other issue, was the facility has a health club that is available to public members and the pool is included. Therefore the pool was VERY crowded with kids and teens (very loud and not relaxing environment).
Pros: Didn’t taste it
Cons: 9 am too late for breakfast hour.
Pros: the staff is kind and nice
Cons: the room was terrible with degrees of humidity of the charts, seemed like we were in a basement under a swimming pool when asked for a different room, they said were fully booked

Pros: The hotel in general was quite cold but the rooms were fine! The receptionist couldn't speak English but we had no problem for check in, breakfast and check out.
Cons: Definitely the breakfast room and in general all the hotel was cold. I guess we were there out of season, the room was OK but the bathroom was cold.
Pros: The gardens were lovely.
Pros: Beautiful grounds! Quiet and removed from activity, but very near restaurants.
Cons: Staff was helpful but not always nearby. We had to leave early also, and no breakfast was made available, even a lesser or modified one.
Pros: Close from my business meeting
Cons: Toilet flush doesn't work at all ! Old fashioned room Hope that the guys who reviewed this hotel with a note of 10 will have the opportunity to stay in a 4* hotel and they'll see the difference. 2* hotel not more at all
Pros: Beautiful grounds, great location, helpful staff and lovely breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom was dated, needs updating
Pros: The workers were fantastic! Worker went out of her way to iron some of our clothes for a wedding we was attending!
Pros: Old farm architecture and parking
Cons: bed mattress and old fashion bathroom
Pros: beautiful setting, very nice owner who was very helpful
Cons: it was just a shame the swimming pool had been damaged and was out of use
Pros: an old farm house, yet renovated and with very modern furnitures. very clean and highly maintained.
Cons: location is a little bit far from highway, the room had 2 separate beds you could not connect together.
Pros: Beautiful garden, great swimming pool.
Cons: Difficult to find the way to the hotel, no sign posts or directions. Not all staff speaks English.
