We stayed 2 nights to visit Europa park: 2 adults and 2 children. The family room was large and very comfortable. The staff is very helpfull and available. Although we reached the hotel late around 1AM, they were there waiting for us, took time to show us the room and to explain all details. Breakfast was excellent (continental). Only German TV channels available
A couple of kms from Europa park. Great local food, with good starter salad and a variety of schnitzel. We got a bottle of wine when we left, after 3 nights. :-) Staff could not speak English so well.
big room.breakfast. no safety-deposit box. no elevator .wireless internet was very expensive.
it was quiet and very nice to leave the balcony window open at night to sleep in the country side not enought local directions. Thank God for my GPS system
Very helpful and courteous staff. Extremely generous size of room, with the added bonus of a large balcony. Although we were on a leisure trip this hotel's facilities were very good for corporate hospitality/seminars etc.
First class at reasonable rate. Dining room excellent, food great, service the best in our 6 week trip. Breakfast more than generous.
Location is good, facilities are clean and modern, restaurant and the food served there is good. When we arrived back to hotel in the evening, the parking lot outside was full. Maybe a little bit too small.
Good hotel, quiet, nice surrounding, only 15 min from highway
It was clean and comfortable, ok for one night stay. Hard to find and had almost no English service, or choice of English tv programming. Not much to do in that area.
Although you need to get precise directions as it is quite hard to find, when you get there it has a pleasant restaurant and a very rural setting overlooking a corn field. We stayed in a "Comfort Double room" we thought that it was worthwhile to pay a few extra Euros, so we can't comment on the lower grade rooms, but ours was good. The usual difficulty with hard beds, but that is expected in central and eastern Europe. No aircon., too, so it could be a problem in high summer. The staff was extremly helpful and polite at all times. The rooms are very big and nicely decorated. It is a very peaceful hotel and the beds were very comfy :). Breakfast buffet is excellent. The room was clean and the staff was ever so helpful nothing was too much to ask. The location is great too, we didn't spend too much time in the hotel during the day but everything was so quiet. We had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend it to all our friends.
The hotel is simply wonderful. The rooms look really new, clean and spacious. It is located in a very quiet environment. And the staff is extremely nice. It is really worth the price. Highly recommended.
Easy to find
The food was excellent and the staff was really helpful there was a free computer to use with internet and wireless for laptops .. No.
Hotel Ama provided a beatiful escape with a great affordable price near Europa Park. Their beer garden and restaurant is open late every night so that you dont need to rush during the late hours.
The facilities, the rooms etc. are brandnew and therefore nice and clean. The place looks quiet, but behind the trees is a main railway. So it could become very noisy from time to time. But we slept very well.
Good food at the restaurant
Room was clean, and staff were accomodating and friendly. Convenient parking, and reasonably priced. Room was more basic than expected. Double bed was in fact two twin beds pushed together. Was near a railway line and so if windows were open, it could be quite noisy. No A.C. which would have been useful given that we kept the windows closed to keep out the noise. On plus side, the double glazing was effective at keeping the room quiet.
It was close to the centre of the village. Which was very nice. Beds were comfortable. The hotel is next to a train. If you are a good sleeper you don't have to worry about it.
The rooms are very nice.
to visit europ park train noisy, no air condition ,Insects from the river
Very nice , very clean and comfortable rooms. This hotel is closed to Europav Parc and to Frieburg. The breakfast is good.
The room was big and we were able to fit all four of us together: 2 adults and two children aged 14 and 12. The facilities in the room were good. The breakfast was good. Being only 20 minutes from Europa Park was perfect for us. The sofa bed that the kids slept on was very hard.
Hotel staff were friendly and understanding. The Hotel was very clean and the rooms were of a high standard
The restaurant was an A+. The wait staff was particularly wonderful. The location right on the main road made for a sleepless night. It was too noisy. I wouldn't stay at the hotel again because of this reason. However, will definitely return to the restaurant!
we are pleasantly surpprised to find a spacious 4 beds room with enough space for the two double beds and room to move around. The staff were was very welcoming and helpful. the hotel is located ideally around 9 km from Europa Park and it just worked out brilliant for us.
easy free parking, close to Europapark, sunny terrasse for dinner, breakfast, nice and quiet village, good food (not gourmet but good!)
very friendly staff, and excellent location. 15 minutes from europa park, 25 minutes from freiberg. In a nice small town with grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, shops. a/c needed for those hot nights :)
The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was very good. We had two rooms. The one that faced the parking lot was nice and quiet, while the other one - facing the street - was noisy.
Great hotel, glad we stayed there, proximity to other local and regional locations was excellent. Will definitely go back again and refer friends to this hotel. Nothing
Very nice room. Reception understaffed.
the rooms are enormous; the restaurant is quite good; excellent breakfast; nice garden; plenty of parking space mosquitoes
We stayed here because we were going to Europa Park and we booked late and this was the best deal at the last minute. This hotel is 30 minutes away from the park if there is no traffic on the autobahn, but we did enjoy it and breakfast was good. Plus it was very nice. They only speak a little English, but are very friendly and clean.
The location was good for the sightseeing we wanted to do. We enjoyed the small town and the beautiful surrounding scenery. There is an on-site bakery and the breakfast was good. Website information was not accurate for our stay. It listed laundry as an available service, but the staff didn't know anything about it when asked. The designated smoking area is located next to the stairs and the smoke travelled up to all floors and was often very strong. The advertised free, wired internet in public areas, but it is only available when staff are available to give you the keyboard and there are no staff there after 7 pm.
The Staff is friendly and speaks good english. The room is spacious, clean with good bedding. Hotel is quiet. Food is typically German (Schnitzels, etc.), that means that it is not "fine cuisine", but nevertheless good enough. Desserts (ice creams only) are not homemade. Breakfast is also German type (delicatessen) with good selection of breads. Overall, good hotel. A bit difficult to find a free parking place, if you arrive during diner time, as people would come for eating and occupy the parking lots for the evening.
Went to this hotel in order to go to the Europapark the next day. Great location, nice food. Good value for money.
Freindly staff, clean and nice rooms, good breakfest
Helpful staff, excellent cuisine.
Very nice welcome. Extremely clean, good food (diner and breakfast) for a very reasonable price. Convenient stores attached to the hotel. Well located in a crowded region (German Black Forest).
our room was spacious' comfortable and clean/
The staff was great, free lan connection in each room, quiet place.
Nice hotel with spacious family room which was clean and modern, set in an interesting village on the edge of the Black Forest, and very handy for Europa Park which was where we headed afterwards. No problem with the hotel, but the church bells outside our room went on for what seemed an age at 6 am.
Excellent brekfast - fairly big room - very friendly & helpful staff! To try the black forrest ham of the hotels own butchery next door is a must. We liked their cold cuts so much that we took them with us which were caned in the butchery. soft matress (but the overall experience is so good that we will definately go back shortly for another stay)
Friendly staff, food and location Unfortunately the bedrooms have only a bath but no shower
Everythings was perfect. People there were great and we discovered a lot through them. Very friendly place and beautiful area around.
We liked the art and paintings of the hotel.
It is much better inside than it looks from the outside. The rooms were spacious and, despite the proximity to the railway line, the soundproofing worked well. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, especially for us who speak English and a bit of German. External appearance during the late afternoon in Autumn wasn't very attractive.
Breakfast & Services were excellent. Very kind & accomodating. The bed wad very uncomfortable. The pillows were very thin & uncomfortable. The bed sizes are very small. They don't provide even a single extra sheet or pillow which was very surprising. We were a couple with a child & the child got nothing since we didn't purchase the extra bed.
breakfast was exellent :-) There was no aircondition and we stayed at groundfloor, so it was not safe to sleep with open windows ! It was very hot...
I have been in Europe for 8 days , changing hotel every day ..and that one was the worst . This one is far .,...from it's 3 or 4 stars rating ( depends where you look ) . The only advantage it has , is the fact it it 5 minutes drive from Europark...but ..when you go to Europark , you are probably going with kids ...and this is no hotel for kids . The rooms are very small , Internet conection is the worst i saw , being cut of every few minutes , the room was not clean and the over all look of the room was quit poor . Basically ...the name of the hotel reflects what it is ...a hotel for a quick sleep while you are driving and needs a place to lay down for few hours ..nothing more ...but 80-90 Euros for this ...is way to far .
Convenience and proximity to Autobahn
location to Europapark
The staff was fantastic. The bar is open 24 hours. The breakfast is plentiful. the wireless was a little finicky, but was adequate.
Not easy to work in the room as no easy sockets to plug into. When I plugged my laptop into a light socket I didn't realise that when I turned the main lighting switch off the power went off to the socket so my laptop and phone didn't charge up.
short distance from Europa Park
location Bathroom shower was broken
the convience to Europa park breakfast did not offer much. did not do a good job of keeping food items stocked
quick and fast checkin it's very difficult to get to the hotel, particularly from the europa park, i thought there is free or paid shuttle but it seems like there is a need to make researvations for it and we are not informed. thus we end up having to hitch hike to get there...bu thanks to the friendly and kind germans we manage to get there finally.
