the room available was smoking only...v nasty smell
Conveninec to the Auchan across the road, where good food was available. The lunch we had on the Saturday by the poolside was marred by two things: a rabbit appeared to drown in the pool and none of the hotel staff paid any attention to this. The club sandwich was terrible, a lone rubbery slice of chicken breast looked measly and was inedible. My wife said the fruit salad was good.
Only one front staff and so sometimes need to wait for check-in / out because a lot of people are waiting.
Very clean, friendly hotel with a good restaurant. Hotel serves Madras curry with semolina which was bland.
Great Stopping point - an hour into France off the chunnel/boat. Clean, comfy rooms and quiet. We will use again. Clean travel cot for baby and freebie treats for toddler.
Clean comfortable rooms, close to the motorway, ideal when travelling to and from the channel
I think this is a way above average hotel. It is more than clean and comfortable and we liked it very much. Staff were also good but it took a long time for someone to return to the front desk to check us in. Other than this we would stay there again. See above.
Good comfortable hotel at the right price €59 per night. Free wifi as well. We didn't eat there but if you do, avoid the Chinese restaurant round the back. Awful!!
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were superb, calm and good beds and linens. the shower was difficult to use
My stay was extended due to auto repairs, the staff was most welcoming, very friendly and most accommodating. Loved the use of the hotel outdoor pool, and the convenience of their restaurant. Would prefer to have had air conditioning.
Room was functional, with good layout and all the required basic amenities. I would have prefered a cleaner floor as I'm used to being barefoot in a room.
Friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price Battery hen accommodation
location, ideal stopover after getting off ferry before long motor cycle trip to Southern France n/a
Everything. Meals and service combined for a very good value overnight stay. No
Nothing in special. The 2 stars are really stars in everything...
Convenient for Autoroute. Accepts pets in the room. Basic but sound facilities Last year we could take our dog into the dining room but the policy had changed this year without warning. The facilities such as drinks and towels were not sufficient for the number of people staying in the room.
value for money and in particular the dinning was great value, rooms are dated and need a makeover, however still A1 value overall
Convenient, all necessary facilities. The bedroom was a little squashed for three people.
It was nice just a problem with the language.
Ease of use and price No hot food at breakfast available exept for one spoonful of scrambled egg. At a cost of 6 euros I think this is not acceptable. Have stayed here on previous occasions and have been satisfied with the breakfast. The person in charge had a take it or leave it attitude. If I use this hotel again I will certainly leave it.
Close to the highway, made for a good overnight stop. Good value for money. Clean, good sized rooms. Breakfast could have been better.
Excellent soundproofing, bearing in mind it is next to the motorway and a very busy rail line, we were not distubed.
Quality, soundproofing, and cleanliness Sign posting/directions.
Good room size and furniture/fixings. Circulation areas good/good early breakfast times & good breakfast especially egg/bacon.Good car parking. All staff met ( reception & cleaners courteous and efficient. Signage on roads and booking advice for locating could be improved.
This hotel has all the essentials for travelling on a budget and in need of a simple place to stay for an evening or couple of nights. There is a grocery store within a 2 minute walk and also restaurants within a 5 minute drive.
We thought the hotel was impressive and in an ideal situation for the businessman and leisure person alike We arrived at 1730 hrs on Sunday to find the reception desk unmanned and a notice telling us to press a button on the base of the phone which we did but no-one appeared. When we phoned the hotel number all we got was a recorded message telling us that the hotel desk was manned 24/7! We waited over an hour until a cleaner turned-up who went and found the receptionist who arrived without a word of apology, had difficulty in finding our reservation on the computer and as we discovered subsequently booked us into a single room and our friends into doubles. Everyone else treated us well thereafter but by then the damage had been done and we would recommend that the hotel look at its process for covering rest periods and ensure fully experienced receptionists are employed on Sunday afternoons
Good location, large room, looks like freshly built.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Location is great if you have a car.
really impressed by size of room ,really comfortable
all was OK, at the beginning was there cold.
Pleasant chalet style rooms with tea/coffee facilities, good shower, nice balcony, trees around and a sense of privacy When we booked, we were told that the room would sleep 4, it did not. Fortunately we had a camp bed with us. Breakfast was expensive and we did not take it. Right by the main railway line to Paris (but trains did not keep us awake). Directions to teh hotel were plain wrong. Found teh hotel by chance and good signpost reading bu passengers in teh car.
It was relatively easy to find. The member of staff on duty in the morning did not seem interested when we reported that the guttering immediately outside one of the 2 rooms that we were in leaked very noisily through the night, causing us to have a very poor nights sleep and flooding the area outside the room.
The room was clean With space to move around in. The breakfast could have been more choice for the money.
It was a very basic room but had everthing that was needed. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room practical, clean and very light. Very easy to check in and out and staff friendly.
Quiet, convenient, with breakfast -- excellent value for money The room was small, but clean and adequate - for an overnight stay.
The Staff were able to communicate in English. The room was better than we had expected in terms of comfort and cleanliness.
The staff were very helpful - ordered taxis. Bathroom a bit small
Practical and simp;E. Exccellent breakfast. Freindly staff. Lack of toilet paper.
No good points. Would have rather stayed in a prison..... Cannot understand that you get involved in such a place. It's disgusting......
nothing special. we only slept in the room. shower/bathroom is poor
no english speaking staff
Perfect for a couple of nights stay near Lens to watch rugby. Basic affordable hassle free. Breakfast area cramped and hot
It was ideal for our purposes - i.e. for use while travelling through France It would be better without a separate single bed above the double bed - I hit my head
Convenient, low cost, quiet location, ideal for a one night stop over A little to far out of town.
we arrived at 11 30 pm and used the automated check in outside (nobody on reception) we didnt get a card for the door so had to get the security man to use his pass key to get in to our room. the toilet was broken and we had to use the waste bin to fill up with water to flush the toilet. In the morning we went to the reception to complain and the receptionist told us the machine outside was broken so if we didnt get there by 9pm to check in then she shrugged her shoulders and said there was nothing they could do'so in other words 'tough luck' .And on the subject of the toilet she just said ok I will make a note of it .No apology or anything else .I will be travelling through France a few times next and will certainly think twice about bookin
Easy to find, clean and cosy.
Cheap and all 4 in one room The shower was rather cramped
Clean and very quiet despite being next to major road. The staff were excellent. Fantastic price. Breakfast was fresh and good. No bath towels in room.
Although it was a non-smoking hotel, the room smelt of smoke and there were cigarette burns in the bathroom. There could have been a reading light for the top bunk which was difficult to get up to.
Breakfast Hard mattress
Staff were pleasant. The room was basic but adequate. Restaurants and shops near by. I didn't like the high bed as my 9 year old son is a restless sleeper and I didn't feel he would be safe up there so he had to sleep with us.
It was cheap Needs more non smoking rooms, an elevator
Clean, Tidy To far from Lens City Ctr
Free wireless internet.
It did what I needed at the right price. I couldn't believe that black had been used as a main colour for doors etc - in small badly lit corridors!
It was idealy situated for an overnight stay before a drive to NE Spain after an afternoon ferry crossing to Dunkirk
A smooth and effective budget hotel in a convenient location for travel along the A1 and A26 autoroutes. The budget continental breakfast was quite adequate. The 2 restaurants in this assembly of about 7 hotels serve very sound food at reasonable prices with good service. The shower-toilet-sink fibreglass 'capsule' design is OK provided the user has no excess bodyweight. The 'double' bed was really a '3/4' bed but quite comfortable.Traffic noise on the autoroute side of the building can be a problem for sensitive sleepers in spite of the double glazing.
Clean, very basic, functional accommodation with a comfortable bed Poor lighting makes it difficult to read in bed
Very warm welcome from a multilingual host.
Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, great quality room for the money. Tiny bathroom (but clean and useable fine), close to motorway (but not too noisy).
The staff is very kind. no
Very helpful staff Room very basic
The hotel rooms were basic but are very very clean and tidy. You could not have asked for better staff, they were very friendly, helpfull and will go out of there way to help. I would stay at this hotel again.
Wifi had a good connection and speed for a free network, Reception, Restaurant and Bar nicely decorated and comfortable with helpfull polite staff. The fami;y room i was given was on the 3rd foor and no lift so quite emotional with 2 toddlers and baggage.
Clean and comfortable room Could not get food or drink. No one to book me out in the morning and on advice of what to do with key etc
Absolutely tiny rooms for 54 Euros per night, no storage whatsoever, toilet coming away from floor, dark & dingy, smelly corridors, no breakfast till 8am, next to a Lidl supermarket & on corner of busy roads with traffic all night, no lift despite advertising as disabled friendly, no help with luggage, hard beds, scruffy decor. Price reduced by only 5 euros per night despite all this. Never again.
The welcome was good and the hotel was easy to find. Parking and general facilities were fine. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was a little bit shabby (missing door handle and rather old bedding) but acceptable as it was a budget deal and just a stop over, not a holiday!
The bathroom was very clean as were the towels which were of good quality. The beds and linen also comfortable and clean. The LCD TV was fairly large and pictures very good quality ( obviously a digital feed ). The curtain on the window was too small and let too much nightime light in. Wi-fi reception on my netbook was poor in the room and was unable to provide internet access. Although access was available in the lobby ! On the morning of checkout ( Sunday) the reception was closed andno hotel staff were available. As a result we were unable to have breakfast.
Resturant was very good and good value. Staff were helpful. It had everything we needed. The room was uncleaned/unmade from previous guests on our arrival at 7pm. We were given another room, which was very basic. Only a bed - no headboard/bedside tables, desk, chair etc. Just a bed and a tv.
It was chosen for its position to where we wanted to visit and it met these criteria well.
only overnight. good food
Accessible to the motorway, plenty of parking. We had booked a family room that was out of order and we were given two double rooms for the same price, which was fair. Single beds were very small and basic.
