shower was awesome! more english channels on tv would help - but this is very minorgood but a hair dryer would be useful - apart from that perfect
The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely and friendly. Location was easy to find (albeit quite a way out of town) but plenty of parking available and a restaurant and bar downstairs.
The staff were all extremely friendly - an essential ingredient to a successful hotel - bar/restaurant clean and more than adequate (plus free wi-fi another 'essential'.
Perfect location for our needs and very well laid out. I would have liked more armchairs to sit relax after meal - a lounge area.
Hotel was excellent value and ideal location to explore WW1 Thiepval sites. Also close to Albert town with its museums.
Location Food in the cafe was cold and staff were under pressure. All of which was well below that expected at an hotel of that star rating
Staff were attentive and spoke English which is good for those of us with a spattering of Franglaise. As it was a relatively new hotel it was modern and clean with all new fittings. Rooms good and bathroom modules a good idea. Enjoyed the food (dinner and Breakfast). Location good for battlefield touring (reason for visit). Good access. From the outside it looks fairly basic but inside all was to our liking. Would recommend this as a place to stay for anyone wanting a similar base for battlefield touring. No dislikes
Nice staff, decent breakfast
We had a warm welcome. The hotel is perfectly placed for visits to the area of the First World War battlefields and the beautiful countryside of the Somme. Good size bedroom, and good dinner in nice traditional restaurant.
The location was central and the hotel had it's own unique individuality, a typical French provincial hotel. Would have liked tea/coffee making facility. Our room although clean looked a bit tired in decoration.
friendly + helpful staff. Breakfast basic but good. rooms are a bit tatty and in need of renovation.
Good, well maintained, friendly, older property. Located within walking distance of city centre and on main access through Albert. Noise no problem. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent in house restaurant.
Friendliness of owner and staff. Cleanliness of the rooms and situation of hotel excellent. Decoration of bedrooms interesting, wardrobe very floppy didn't risk putting anything in it. Could do with checkin being earlier we were lucky to get see the owner and get in before 6pm which appeared to be when the hotel opened its doors. It was a very cold and wet day which if we had had to wait 2 hours in a car, nothing open in February, it would not have been very comfortable. However we didn't because we saw the owner through the locked door of the hotel and he happily opened up for us.
We have been staying Albert for the past 10 years, and this was our first time staying at the Hotel De La Paix. It has a nice intimate feel that you do not get from the bigger chain hotels. However it is a ilttle dated but this does not overcome the fact it was a very pleasent place to stay. The Chap in charge is also the chef, en eventhough we spoke different langauges, we were able to still chat and he was very friendly as were the rest of the staff. Food was good, location was good, beds were comfortable. will stay there again. A great base for visiting the Great War Battlefields on the Somme. The only thing I was not happy about was the actual toilet which appeared to be an electronic thingy that made a lot of noise when you flushed it. Also when you had a shower water tended to collect under the sink that youneeded to put a towel under in order to soak it up. These are minor things that do not take away from the fact that we enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.
Good service. breakfast & dinner. Comfortable room. No problems.
convenient location.staff friendly.parking convenient.cleanliness of room food -.recommend to eat out. no shower curtain.room rather dingy although refurbished.dining room shabby and dusty
Location only The hotel was practically empty and restaurant was closed
Very close to the main square, for local food and drinks. The museum is 30 feet away. You can buy private parking for 5 Euro, but the parking is free on the street.
Great location, helpful staff Hotel is a bit tired. Bathroom, not shower.
Very central location and cleanliness no shower curtain, no towels in the room on arrival, very 70's feel despite the recent renovation,
The friendly helpful welcome the shower was very complicated. I am 78 kgs only 1m65 tall almost impossible to sit o0n the toilet - room 208
Friendly staff & convenient location. We were told within 30 mins of booking in that it was not possible to eat at Hotel as restaurant was full. Told the following day thah it was a mistake ! Also info. on your web site says 2 restaurants - a bit misleading as far as we were concerned. Others in our party in another double room had cause to complain about functioning of shower taps, unclean pillows, lack of towels (only one small and one shower size for 2 people.
Perfectly situated in the heart of Peronne, Hotel Saint Claude provides both comfortable value for money accomodation with excellant staff.
Excellent Hotel for touring the Battlefields. Easy parking and good attention by staff Whilst Hotel room was good value, meals and drinks were expensive and put the bill up rather. Nothing nearby as an altrnative Dining venue.
The peace and quiet of the hotel in general and the comfortable dining room and bar area
Needs to be cleaner, workman on flat roof outside window, very disconcerting as he was on the same level as us, no privacy.
very nice hotel, staff very nice & food outstanding
Excellent dinner menu. Noise from main road. Very small bathroom.
The staff were generally friendly. Bar was pleasant and open for children to play billiards. The room for 4 was a triple room with one bed a sofa that had been made up as a bed. A matress on the floor. We didnt eat, but the food looked very good, but too expensive for me and the children
Very nice furnishings, free parking, good location, quiet. Restaurant very expensive, no lifts to handle luggage to room
The meal was the highlight, fine dining, good service The room was a little small and stuffy, we opened the window, but the traffic noise meant we eventually had to shut it
Excellent food and service. The first room we were allocated overlooked the noisy kitchen air conditioning unit and the factory next door. However we requested a change a were given a very pleasant room at the front of the hotel.
arrived later than announced, but still got access rooms were located at the back, not possible to leave windows open due to noisy ventilation system at the outside of building
Easy stop after arriving Paris and heading north, but is on other side of expressway. A bit noisy as close to expressway but convenient
Good sized room. Friendly and helpful staff. Well placed on the Autoroute. Pillows - too hot. Air conditioning not sure if it was available (old climate controls). Needed to cool the room a little, but it was a hot day. Don't like paying for Wi-Fi generally, think it should be free/included in hotels, so probably hesitate recommending to business colleagues.
Convenient location for a visit to the WW1 battlefields. Difficult to find. There is no given address that can be pinpointed with a GPS. It was only after we passed the hotel and turned off the autoroute some 10 km further on and found our way back on country roads, that we discovered that the hotel is part of a rest stop on the autoroute.
The food was good and the parking secure My room smelt of smoke and there was no proper bar area. Its looking a bit tired.
In room 207, the heating did not work. They gave us room 210, and the shower head is leaking, and does not stay up.
Location of Hotel beside a motorway
This was our 4th stay, and as always the staff were polite. Plus the ease off the A-1.
Bed was like a rock!
Location, room facilities, decor Not enough pillows per room. No kettle/ drinks making facilities in rooms
A perfect motorway stop-over for someone journeying from England to almost anywhere in France. (I left work at 4.00pm, caught the 6.30 Eurotunnel and was eating my - imited, but perfectly acceptable - French dinner at 9.40pm (their time). Ready to go, refreshed, the following morning. Breakfast over-priced at 13 Euros.
