Pros: Kitchen was nicely outfitted, gas fireplace & hot tub, gorgeous view, easy check-in and great management. The mangers husband drove out from town to help use with smart TV, fast Internet.
Cons: Bed was the worst I'd ever slept on, everything else was 5 stars. The bed was box springs and mattress that was totally broke down like someone had used for a trampoline, horrible! Nice place otherwise, gorgeous location, but the most important item-the bed-was missing from the equation.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Private entry and patio was very nice, as well as our hosts. Even though other guests were present, it was very quiet. Comfortable bed and clean premise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When we pulled up, Keith saw our car approaching from the window and so met us outside and immediately showed us the room and the guest area upstairs, which we appreciated. The location is a little removed, about a 10 minute drive from the main part of town, but is peaceful and beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. Keith had coffee, teas, and freshly baked cookies out in the kitchen all day for guests to come and enjoy at their convenience. He took interest in our plans while in Homer and made good recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful, including coffee, tea, juice, eggs, sausage, fruit salad and his "Poot Pancake" (named after a mountain nearby) which was like a German pancake with baked apple, cinnamon and sugar on top. SO GOOD! (And he packed breakfast and coffee to-go for another 2 guests who were leaving early for a fishing trip, which I thought was so nice). Keith was incredibly friendly and hospitable and we enjoyed our leisurely conversation with him during breakfast. I'm sure his wife, Melissa, would be the same but she was out of town while we stayed there. I was so impressed with how well Keith was running everything by himself!! The room and adjoining private bathroom, was exceptionally clean and beautiful. We stayed in the Ptarmigan Room downstairs, which opens out to a patio (shared with the other room downstairs) with the most amazing view of the bay. Also, I thought the bed was very comfortable - the right balance between firmness and softness with high quality sheets.
Cons: Since booking.com is forcing us to come up with a few lines till the bar turns green - these are MINOR nitpicks: 1. The coffee could be a little stronger in my opinion :) 2. The oat cookie was a little stale and too sweet 3. Eggs were a little salty at breakfast 4. Northern lights were not provided ;) Ok Ok. You get the point. Keith's the best.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room is too small for a couple We don't like the braefast. The view was Great.
Cons: The room was small for a couple
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Felt welcome from the first minute! Keith and Melissa are wonderful hosts - best breakfast on my trip so far and amazing view over the Kachemak Bay. Would definitely recommend staying here when in Homer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly host! Great food! Not right in town but close enough for ease of travel. Great view and wildlife!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed for four evenings. We rented their smaller room which was not large but worked well. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom met our needs. There was a nice patio behind the room with a small table and chairs overlooking their backyard and the view of Kachemak Bay and the State Park. It was beautiful. Keith and Melissa were excellent host. We loved talking to them and spent considerable time after breakfast chatting. Keith made a beautiful surprise full breakfast each morning with plenty of coffee and always had freshly baked cookies out in the evening. Keith also was ready with suggestions when we asked for restaurants and places to go like hikes. Their home is NE of Homer about 15 minutes. For us it was a perfect quiet setting with easy access to everything we wanted to do. We could not recommend this place enough.
Cons: There was not really anything we did not like

7.0 Good
Pros: the room was spacious, comfortable. The bath room was excellent and very comfortable. It was nice having a full kitchen and easy parking.
Cons: The breakfast was poor to compare to other B&B there was no choice at all, the amount of food served was minimal, except for a quiche. There was no juice, cereals, selection of breads or yogurt. The host was talking too much, enforcing himself on the guests. He required all guests have breakfast together, asked one of the guests to say grace, which to us was offensive, and was watching the guests eating. It was very annoying. He also insisted on giving us a house tour and room tour which was totally unnecessary and time wasting
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great find in Homer. I only had one day and I wish I had more. The owners are really welcoming and lovely people. The property is really nice found it to be very quiet and comfortable with amazing views over the town. Would recommend for a true Alaska experience in hospitality. Especially liked the Keurig machine and having a coffee on the patio and taking in the sights, thanks so much!
Cons: My visit was too short!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Julia (the owner), was very helpful in finding and booking us an excellent bear viewing trip? She did all the leg work and we couldn't have been more pleased.
Cons: A very comfortable room with a full kitchen and nice bathroom. It had a separate entrance which is nice for B&B. The breakfast was excellent and I regret only being there one morning to enjoy it. I would suggest this as an excellent option if staying in Homer

8.3 Excellent
Pros: A tasty breakfast was provided each of our three days
Cons: A knife and a kettle would be a good addition for the kitchen.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A lovely lodge in a small town (Homer) on a human scale. Juxia and her husband show a great willingness towards the guests
Cons: Nothing was out of place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hostess, Juxia, was remarkable in communicating when forest fires looked to close roads. She went above and beyond in arranging alternate transportation which turned out to be unnecessary when blocked roads suddenly reopened. But her commitment to helping us have a memorable holiday was extraordinary. The room was comfortable and opened to a private terrace with lovely views.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great view! Wonderful home made breakfasts. Own entrance to our room from the porch area.

We gorged like bears on raspberries, strawberries and four different kinds of currants. The breakfasts were fabulous with home-make bread and homegrown fruit and amazing jams. The eggs were from their chickens and the fish was caught by Willy. Everything was perfect and we hated to leave.
