The location is good, it is possible do visit the town on foot and take many buses. It is near a market. There is a very cheap and really good restaurand in the same street.
Noise too loud from the street. Dificult to find a place to park around and only payed parking. The towels was only changed in the first day. The guy that works at night is nice, but the owner that come during the day was a little arrogant.

Excellent value for money and perfect location opposite to city market. Very good if you would like just to see the town and you do not need luxuries.

Very nice atmosphere. The hotel has its own spirit/ The staff and location were more that just excellent, they were extremely great. This could be said about all people in Funshal. Positive and touristfriendly. Very nice place to stay and spend a holiday on Madeira.

“Staff very friendly”
“Considering the very low price (paid 18eur/night during Corona pandemic), the location is super central and the room looks nice, is clean, even has a fan which helps with the high temperatures. The staff is friendly with advice.”
“Very central location just across the road from the market. The staff friendly and helpful. Had forgotten my plug adaptor & they lent me one - had a few problems with the remote for the TV but that got sorted quickly. I was given a room at the back of the hotel away from the main road (as requested).”
“After finding ourselves in Funchal for bonus extra night, decided to be adventurous and try out this little diamond. Not disappointed whatsoever. Really helpful chap on Reception, called Jaime, who was able to print out our flight boarding passes. Great location, busy but 100% safe. Totally clean. Very comfortable bed. Good shower pressure and fresh towels. Would easily recommend for a authentic stay in a beautiful area of Funchal.”
