Very close to Taormina but at the same time in a nice and calm site with a marvellous panorama. Well equipped (swimming pool, etc.) with a good breakfast
Great place to stay-couldn't have enjoyed it more.
The view and location was fantastic The room was very small
the location & view no
Pool was ok, except for the rude and unhelpful poolattendant. The rest was a disappointment. Just about everything really. There was only one restaurant open during our stay. Set menu at 45 euro a head was expensive and the food poor. Terrible might be a better word. Breakfast was rubbish. eggs cold, bacon cold, fruit overipe and sometimes frozen, hot water lukewarm, coffee undrinkable etc etc. Staff were surly and unhelpful, total lack of information volunteered or given when asked.
clean rooms, wonderful views and facilities no room service. far from toarmina. a car is needed
location (better to have a car), view (choose a sea view room!), facilities (swimming pools, sea platform) The breakfast - something is missing all the time. Dishes, cups ... normally dirty. Understandable in a 4* hotel. Reduced staff.
The view The breakfast everyday same food - no creativity
Restaurants closed, beach platform had no beach, internet access didn't work and staff didn't help or care, poor location, shop closed, buffet dinner expensive and cold
The location of the hotel only 1 restaurant open. No possibity for a snack or lunch as no food is served between breakfast and 8pm. the restaurant option was very expensive and not flexible..50€ per pers for a buffet.... Staff were not very helpful neither friendly but that might have been due to language barrier (only 1 pers in the whole hotel speaks english) and my italian is very poor unfortunately..
wonderful hotel@staff, good restaurant, my best recomendations, by the way, in this village the Sicilian part of The Godfather I was shot
We were genuinely surprised and fell in love with the landscape and the view. Everyone in the hotel made us feel like home. For the first in arriving in Italy we were happy and relax. A very very special experience..! Bolder signs to hotel are needed.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful, the room was clean. Only 20 minute drive from Taormina (once you learn the road, 25 minutes if you get lost) The hotel is not on the sea as shown in the photo, the hotel is next to a train railway
Friendly and welcoming staff. Location and comfortable bed. Next to train line which caused minor disturbance, last train was about 10pm and the earliest was about 5am (that we heard anyway)
We felt very comfortable at the Hotel and were provided with all the necessities except when we arrived there was no one there to let us in. Perhaps the check in time could be much earlier than 2 p.m to accommodate tourists that have travelled a great distance.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! Good parking place. Nice small garden in the yard.
Best hospitality in Italy!! The hotel has an apartment feel rather than a hotel, the staff were not always at the desk, but when they were they were extremely helpful, friendly, and gave us limoncello and wine complimentary which was a lovely surprise!! Best to have a car to explore the sites. The train is very close and can be noisy.
free parking very noisy (would need to improve accoustic, eg. add a door between stairs and rooms), no babycot (even if requested and promised on booking.com), staff was very noisy early in the morning
Personal was very kind. Inside of the hotel was very nice. View from the balcony was poor.
parking, friendliness of staff, comfortable room
The kindness of the staff. The railway station is so nearby.
Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean room and bathroom. Hotel is located in a village someway out of Taormina, not much there so definitely need a car, especially as hotel has no restaurant.
Lots of positives; Location, Staff, Free parking, Room, Breakfast inc, Views... The only negative I can think of was that there was no fruit at breakfast
The staff were friendly and eager to assist in helping us make the most of our time in Sicily. The rooms were clean and the view was beautiful. no
The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to do everything for us. The room was lovely and the view was gorgeous.
Service of the reception and restaurant manager. Lack of fruit at breakfast
Perfect location, 10km from Taormina, far enough away from the busy holiday spot, but not too far away to drive. Good price, quite, great views over of the sea. Very helpful staff!!!
Friendliness of staff - they were very welcoming and most spoke very good English.
the staff's friendliness and readiness to help. This goes particularly for the receptionand the the room maids
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel was however very quiet. The position on the front was good despite having stoms overnight when you could clearly hear the waves breaking. Convenient for Toarmina (only a few miles north) without being charged the earth for accomodation, with plenty of free parking available. Excellent value. Pity the indoor pool was closed during our visit but did not detract from the stay.
nice room, very nice design. close to the airport
The room was well situated with a balcony that had a sea view. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, except for one waiter. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very basic with no choice and at the coffee was cold and vile on the first morning, so we did not risk it after that.
The room was wonderful with a great view. The hotel shuttle bus was helpful. The reception staff were friendly and also went out of their way to help. The swimming pool was being cleaned for the entire week of our stay end of June. Was not able to use it! That was a major negative. the breakfast was bellow standard. If you do go here, prepare to get hungry for lunch quickly
Location ideal for Taormina. Room very comfortable. Fabulous Views. Staff very helpful.Good Breakfast.Shuttle bus to Taormina big bonus. No tea/coffee making facilities in room.Instructions to use spa shower not available in room.
there were cockroaches in the bathroom which is unacceptable
great pool lovely room albeit next to the autostrada staff hostile bar and lounge area uninspiring breakfast dreadful worst in sicily we tried to book spa treatments and were told the spa was booked up for a week - it was only open between 4-8pm and we should have booked treatments before arriving vastly over priced for what is was
TERRIBLE hotel, big disappointment. I chose between this hotel and hotel next door NH Capo dei Greci. Finally I chose this hotel because it has better ranking. But it was fault! High price isn´t match with bad services and completly bad condition of hotel. Personal is unpleasant. For example bad dinner cost 32 euro but isn´t included drinks. Pool is so dirty. Aircondition in room is out of power. Bed is so hard. We didn´t wan´t to stay in this hotel, but they say that we have to pay 3 days. Finally only 2 days. If I can recommend some hotel in this location - NH Capo dei Greci is same prize and absolutely better quality.
The beach nearby was very nice the hotel is actually about 20km out of Taormina which I thought was misleading. The staff were quite rude unfortunately.
Room & View were excellent, porter & shuttle into Taormina great too it is sold as a Spa so was disapointed that the Spa was only available in the afternoon
Shuttle bus to city centre, complimentary use of beach and towels, views over the bay from the restaurant, the command of english with the staff. Very hard beds like lying on a board, extreme amounts of cigarette smoke as you enter the hotel through the conservatory area/bad ventilation, piano playing and singing entertainment nightly till 12 midnight disturbed sleep, bad organisation at breakfast staff not prepared for guest when they came in, the bedroom was certainly not of a 4 star deluxe standard.
breakfast, room service pool
Staff is wonderful! Very helpful! The hotel is placed on the beach in a very good location for visting Taormina and other cities. Breakfasts are more continental style than typical Italian. New hotel is being built next to the old one. The current one needs to be renovated.
Cheap rooms (40 EUR) directly at the seaside in a quiet neighbourhood not far from expensive Taormina. Clean rooms.
Our room has a nice seaview Siculo is a small village with little facilities and it is about 20min ride to Taormina
This is a family owned and run B and B, around the block from the beach and a well stocked supermarket (read cheese, fruit, salted anchovies, wine, amaro, lemeoncello, pastry, bread, etc)...perfect for anyone with a car wanting a base to go to Taoromina, Messina, Savoca, Etna, Roccalumera, Aci Reale etc . But that's only half of the story...the other half is Salvatore and Alessandra Palazzo, the brother and sister who run this wonderful B and B. Breakfast is a pleasure, Sal's English is superb, his knowledge of the area and Sicily in general is that from an educated attorney turned B and B host, and can I mention he took three hours from his Saturday, drove us up to Savoca, where the Sicilian scenes from Godfather One were filmed, and walked around that town with us on a lovely sunny day, casually strolling the deserted streets of this beautiful hill town..engaging in the most delightful conversation, giving us one of the gifts that are not mentioned in guidebooks...the causal Sicilian stroll and gentle conversation on a beautiful sunny June day.. I can't say enough about Salvatore, you'll experience it yourself and also be charmed by his delightful sister Alessandra. I know the reader of this does not know me from a hole in the wall, but read all the other fine comments on this place...you will not regret it. Finally, one of the great things about this place is you can email Salvatore with a question or concern, and you'll get an informed response . Just a place that put's a smile on your face because of the people you're dealing with....the best.We are an older couple but this place is good for couples of any age. I can't say I did not like anything about this place...the only thing is that you will need a car to stay, but parking free and plentiful, since public transportation would not allow this town to be your base of trips. But with a car, the location is very good getting you easily onto the Autostrada or SS 114. Incidentally, I had read the conflicting good and bad stories about renting a car to drive in Sicily. We arrived in Catania, where we stayed for a few days, great place that city, and rented a car from AVIS located near the harbor, run by another salvatore...completely trustworthy man, classy operation, may not have auto transmission, check ahead, manual is fine except if you're not that experienced in some of the steep hillside villages, do some research, know a little about Italian road signs, etc go for the extra collision insurance for peace of mind, don't skimp money wise in this regard. I would also trust Salvatore's, of this B and B, advice or recommendations on a car rental if you wanted to rent a car from this area..
