Pros: The breath you need is up there. The host is the nicest person on earth, the breakfast is a mix of the things you dream, the cakes are handcooked and you will have too much of it because it's delicious. The view is just breathtaking, you want to stay there forever but one thing is better : your Room. Astonishing restored, the house will offer you the feeling to be back in the time but keeping your confort !
Cons: Amazing! View you go for breakfast and your stunned from what you see in front of you . Stuff is super nice with great care for breakfast and helping you go around!
Pros: The setting, view and rooms are idyllic. The owners are super sweet and accommodating too. It's a part of the world well worth a visit, especially considering their continued recovery from the 2009 earthquake. There are endless places to explore - small surrounding towns, incredible mountains, delicious agriturismo. Please go here, you will not regret it!
Pros: The views were spectacular and grounds were calming. The flowers and landscaping was beautiful. Their breakfast was simple, homemade and delicious.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like about Charme in Perillis
Pros: Absolutely stunning. Beautiful location and gorgeous high quality conversion of old building. Breakfast was awesome with great views.
Pros: Beautiful views and central location
Cons: Loved every moment
Pros: Absolutely beautiful place and in a majical location but the most wonderful part was the ever attentive Paula.
Cons: Whilst the bath is lovely I do feel that the room should have a stand up shower as this is far easier
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic with lots of fresh fruit and cakes. The staff were wonderful and could not have been any more helpful. The apartment was perfect for a family. We will definitely be back.
Pros: Everything was perfect and we can't wait to come again! It is a real gem in the mountains - and you can feel the love that Paola and Jonathan are investing in this place. It is a place to relax, to hike, to get inspired and recharged. Paola is very warm and smiling person with a great sense for details, for design and for every need of her guests. The building is beautifuly renovated and the facilities are new and sparkling clean. The bed is super comfortable, the sheets are of good quality and we slept like babies. There is an electronic floor-heating system which heated the whole room. The bathroom is beautiful, very clean and everything is luxurious - the soft towels, the expensive good-quality shampoo and shower gel (Lorenzo Villorezi), and even personal slippers. The room is taken care of each day. The breakfast is very rich and tasty - cheeses, hams, yogurts, jams, 3 types of homemade cakes (yummi!), fruits, breads, eggs, freshly-squeezed orange juice, tasty coffee and tea. Also the breakfast seating area is beautiful and cozy, with many charming decor details. The view is breathtaking - I couldn't wait to wake up and open the windows and to see the sun goes above the green mountains. We hiked in the Abruzzo Park and in the Gran Sasso parks - approximately 1.5 h drive to each park (it is around 60 km - but the driving in the rural ways is slow). Can't recommend it enough! Paola, Jonathan - thank you for making our holiday so pleasant!
Pros: Francesca was very helpful and couldn’t do enough Great breakfast with everything you could ask for Nice warm room and lovely shower We had doors from the room into a garden area which was private for us. Secure private parking
Pros: Francesca's incredible hospitality and her determination to ensure that her local culture thrives; and the little dog that runs dog the top of the boundary wall, will be the memories that we will take away with us.
Cons: I would have preferred to have had a bathroom leading off my room rather than having to go outside my bedroom and climb a staircase to get to the bathroom.
Pros: Great in every way! Service, cleanliness, equipment are first class. Beautiful and peaceful, quiet environment with many interesting sights nearby. And Francesca is a very kind, energetic and positive person. Thanks for everything!
Pros: Francesca is a perfect host Breakfast is great Easy to find Francesca loves to share her knowledge about Abruzzo!
Cons: Bed is not very comfy’
Pros: It felt like staying with family. This is my parents home town so for me I loved staying in one of the more or less original homes.
Cons: It was not a problem for us but there were a few stairs to our room with no railing that may be an issue for some. They did kindly offer to help us with our luggage but as mentioned we did not need it.
Pros: Francesca was wonderful. She is an enthusiastic tour guide for the local area. She told us of a wonderful old chapel in the hills with frescoes from the 12th century. A breathtaking experience. Her breakfast was the most complete and beautifully presented breakfast we had in Italy. Parking is safe and easy in her gated parking area. A great place to stay when visiting the Gran Sasso Park or the Calascio Castle. Francesca is fluent in English and has many English language guides and books available.
Pros: We were cared for like family. Wonderful accommodations, a fantastic location, and we got the best advice for a "Don't Miss" spot to visit. Make this a stop on your Italy trip!
Cons: Barking dogs were a nuisance going to sleep, and they started early the next morning.

A continental breakfast is served in the shared dining room. The modern-style rooms come with air conditioning and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Pros: All of the staff were great, without exception. Amazing breakfast.
Pros: We really enjoyed the size and cleanliness of the rooms, the bountiful breakfast, the kind and helpful staff and the perfect location right on the square.
Cons: The beds were a little uncomfortable but otherwise everything was perfect.
Pros: Breakfast was great. Staff were outstanding! Made you feel like you were at home. Location of Ma.Re is great!
Pros: Everyone spoke English, very caring.
Cons: Caring employees staff friendly breakfast, clean
Pros: Very welcoming, charming accommodation, beautiful little village.
Pros: It was great! The hots was super nice and the breakfast was better than in most fancy hotels! The host was also very helpful and friendly, answered all our questions and reccmmended places to see in the city :)
Pros: Location, cleanliness, breakfast
Cons: Internet, mattress/bed
Pros: lovely breakfast and spacious rooms
Cons: should have read fine print-most rooms do not have view over the town.
Pros: The breakfast on the terrace with the view over the town and the valley. The rooms towards the hill are very quiet. The toilet is apart from the shower.
Cons: The breakfast itself has to much supermarket food, no local cheese, ham, cakes or bread; a pity in food paradise Abruzzo.
Pros: The view is wonderful. The balcony is very large. The suite is very spacious.
Cons: A few features need updating and minor repairs.
Pros: Very nice accommodation with the very nice view over Popoli. The room is perfectly clean, so the bathroom. They have so cute dog, named Pitta. Breakfast is served on the terrace with the view over the town.
Cons: Weak internet access. The bed was not so cozy.
Located in Popoli, Hotel Tre Monti is within a 15-minute drive of San Clemente Abbey and San Clemente Abbey. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff, cleaning and breakfast
Pros: Excellent location, kind and gentle staff, big rooms with a view, very good value for money.
Cons: My room had a connection door to the next. I could hear everythingword and every snore like the neighbor was in my room. I suggest to ask for another room if you get one with connecting door. Or bring ear plugs. But they need to be really good.
Pros: The place is clean, tidy and employees are fantastic. Breakfast was delicious and rich.
Pros: Nice view of mountains. Decent breakfast and friendly staff.
Cons: Had intermittent Wi-Fi issues for several hours, but they repaired it by the end of the evening. Had a large steam vent pipe outside my balcony that made noise all night. Paper thin walls, earplugs needed here!
Pros: We stayed one night with our 9 month old son. Very friendly staff and the restaurant at the hotel was very good. I would very much recommend to stay at Hotel Tre Monti.
Pros: Friendly staff. Value for money. Would both stay again and recommend to others.
Situated in Navelli, La Loggia Di Federico has a shared lounge and a terrace. The guest house features family rooms. The rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, fridge, a coffee machine, a shower, a hairdryer and a wardrobe. With a private bathroom, rooms at the guest house also boast a city view. LʼAquila is 34 km from La Loggia Di Federico. The nearest airport is Abruzzo Airport, 74 km from the accommodation.
Pros: We made our booking the afternoon of the night we wanted to stay, when we arrived in town and found an issue with our previously-arranged private accommodation. After making the booking, I called the Loggia's number, and Franco came immediately to meet us. He was charming, kind, and very welcoming. He gave us a great recommendation of a place for dinner too! The apartment we stayed in was gorgeous, with a huge balcony that has stunning views over the valley, and interesting and pretty light-based artworks. The facilities were fantastic, and represented incredible value for money.
Cons: Having to leave! There was absolutely nothing to fault about the property.
With a stay at B&B Del Corso in Popoli, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of San Clemente Abbey and San Clemente Abbey. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
Pros: We had an entire apartment with a full kitchen/sun room. Great location. Beautiful view from balconies all around. Ample free parking. There were only 2 of us, but had room for 5. Great for families.
Cons: We didn't mind but may make a difference to some, 2 fights of stairs with no elevator.
Pros: Large rooms particularly the bathroom. Great location.
Located in Corfinio, Albergo Excelsior is within a 15-minute drive of Majella National Park and Sulmona Introdacqua Station. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and an elevator. Planning an event in Corfinio? This hotel has 3229 square feet (300 square meters) of space consisting of conference space and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I stopped here on my own which was new for me and I was slightly worried about however the staff were very welcoming, it was like having a little home from home. The hotel itself is spotless and there is a house keeping service where the bed sheets are changed daily. Due to the hotel being small it gave it a laid back feel which was very relaxing. The room was of a good size and the views from the large balcony were spectacular. Keeping with the personal feeling, every morning the staff would have my breakfast ready for me when i came to the bar area which was a delicious cake and a cappuccino. They also serve amazing ice cream which was extremely reasonable just €2. This hotel is really everything you need for a good base to explore the surrounding area. I would like to return here again some time as I had a wonderful week in Corfinio and Abruzzo. Grazie!
Cons: My only critique is that it would have been nice if there were tea or coffee facilities in the room, however the bar was always open when needed so it was not an issue.
Pros: Christina was an excellent host, along with Francesco. They were so helpful with arranging transportation for us - being picked up at the Bus Depot in Sulmona, to another village nearby and back to train transportation in Raiano. The food at the hotel was amazing - all the locals ate their each night. The scenery is magnificent!
Pros: Very friendly staff and nice restaurant
Pros: What a wonderful place to stay! Wonderful balcony overlooking mountains. Supper delicious and great price. For a small town hotel, the room was big city comfort. Excellent value. I look forward to my next stay!!
Pros: Breakfasts were abundant and tasty. The rooms are very comfortable, with lovely walk-out balconies. The location is very beautiful, with views of mountains all around. The staff were very kind and helpful.
Cons: My friend and I would strongly recommend that this property install security cameras in the private parking lot. Sometime during our second night there one of the other guests (perhaps someone who came only for dinner?) scraped the right side of our rental car with their car, causing considerable damage; we will be stuck with paying for part of this damage. We were informed that there are cameras on the street but not in the hotel's private parking lot; if we had known this, we would have parked on the street.
Pros: Great location for travel around Abruzzi... the food is very good, but the people are even better. Our hosts -- Francesco, Cristina, and Dora -- are the heart and soul of this wonderful place to stay.
Set at the foot of Gagliano Aterno's Castle, Sotto Il Castello is in the heart of this medieval town. It features a garden with BBQ and fresh herbs that guests can use. Overlooking the surrounding mountains, the apartments have a furnished terrace and cooking facilities. You will find a selection of pre-packaged ingredients for breakfast. Wi-Fi is free at Sotto Il Castello and free parking is available in the surroundings. The castle dates back to the 1300s and there are lots of medieval buildings in the town. Gagliano Aterno is inside Sirente Velino Regional Park and around 30 minutes' drive from Sulmona.
Pros: Lovely and quiet with loads of character.
Cons: No nearby restaurants open
Pros: Little apartment (appt no. 2) situated in a small apartment complex in an old building below a private owned castle, the apartment where we stayed with a truly beautiful view on the valley from the terrace. Italian hostess Gianna(?) was very nice and helpful: she let us in the apartment an hour early, let us use the washing machine, and offered showering in another apartment when there were problems with the draining of the water. The apartment has a lovely cool bedroom, comfortable bed with lovely soft pillows. Would like to have stayed longer, and would stay again. Small town with small supermarket nearby. Lovely nature in the valley.
Cons: The shared space on the outside of the apartment would benefit from a bit of TLC! :--)
Pros: The creativity in the breakfast the amazing view and the studio itself was awesome. (They have an amazing leaflet where you can find anything nearby)
Cons: The bed
Pros: The packaged breakfast was from the local bakery and it was delicious. We made coffee with the stovetop expresso maker and it was very good. We sat outside and watched the sunrise over the beautiful mountains.
Cons: The bed linens could be better. I would like to see a top sheet with the duvet.
