Location was great, right by the airport. The suite was roomy. Lots of restaurants and a Kroger nearby.
When we got there, the maintenance guy had to come fix the tub drain because it was broken. Also, our sink drained REALLY slow. You could tell the room was older and needed updating. It had a popcorn ceiling and the bed was old. Breakfast was not good.
Free breakfast was awesome, friendly amd helpful staff, great, quiet location closee to a lot of shopping areas.
Bathroom sink stopper was broken so the sink kept filling up with water.
The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, better than what I would expect.
Elevators are centrally located right next to the pool and eating area.
Driveway at entrance full of potholes
The cops were there causing a loud scene at 2 in the morning and the neighbors were yelling all night
Very friendly staff and very clean.
Pool was closed at night.
The desk attendant when we checked in about 11:30 pm was polite and EXTREMELY helpful and made out stay very comfortable. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name.
I travel to this area quite frequently and this is the hotel that I have been staying at for years. I have had the same quality of service on every visit.
The only thing that is not that great about the hotel is access to it.
We stayed at this hotel 04/2013. The hotel is being renovated. However, our room was already completed. The room was very nice. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was standard for Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is well located near restaurants and shopping areas. We were happy with our stay here. It will be even nicer when the renovations are completed.
Location close to highway, indoor pool and free breakfast.
Room 410 close to elevator. Noise all night long from people in and out of their rooms. room 408 was up until 2am and room across hall got up at 6am so we only got 4 hours of sleep.
The hotel was next to Fritch's Big Boy and Bob Evans restaurants. there was also a strip mall (Mc Donalds, Taco Bell, Chinese food) and a Kroger food store across the street. There is a bus stop close to the hotel. Plus the hotel is five minutes from the airport.
One of the nices and cleanest places I have stayed... I highly reccomend!
If you don't need to stay in downtown Columbus, this is a great place to stay. It's within spitting distance of I-270 and the airport. Like the previous posters said, there is a Bob Evans and Frich's Big Boy next door. Across the street is a shopping plaza with Krogers and other stores. The motel is in a safe area, but once you take S. Hamilton past I-270 and then past the airport, the neighborhood (southeast Columbus) starts to get a little scary. But Gahanna (where the motel is) and New Albany to the north are very safe. Motel staff were friendly, check in was fast. My room was broken up into small areas, like a bedroom, sitting room and office/wetbar area. This was cool because it made the room feel more like a small cozy studio apartment instead of a motel room. Housekeeping was good, but they forgot to put tissues in the bathroom (no big deal), lots of cable TV channels with 2 HBO channels (I actually watched 2 movies while I was there). The free continental breakfast was okay, but not great. If you are a big breakfast eater, walk next door to Bob Evans. The motel has an airport shuttle, but I'm not sure if they will take you anywhere else (probably will if you ask). My room was quiet, with no noise from the hallway and no noise from rooms beside or above me. Even though it is located next to the airport, I saw planes flying by, but could not hear them in my room. This was my first time staying here and I will definitely stay here again.
We ended up staying here because our flight was cancelled because of snow (14 inches in March!). Anyway, they re-booked us for the next morning and we went looking for a hotel. We found this place by going the 'back way' out of the airport and staying on 317 (I think?). We liked this place because it's close to the airport but you don't have to get back on the interstate which was backed up because of the weather. It has a Bob Evan's and a Frisch's right next door plus continental breakfast in the morning. Nice little 'local bar' bar (Jordan's) within easy walking distance. Friendly people with good prices. Hotel staff was very friendly. Can't really say how they are as far as responding to issues as we didn't have any. Room was clean and comfortable and hotel in general was clean. We didn't use the indoor pool but people were using it and it looked clean as well.
GREAT HOTEL ,GOOD FRIENDLY STAFF
