Excelent staff, 1st class food and service, high standards throughout Bar closed too early(10.50)
The hotel has a delightful situation on the banks of the Tweed and adjoins the picturesque ruins of Dryborough Abbey. The staff are warm and welcoming, food is good with excellent service at table. Our bedroom and the public rooms were attractive and comfortable. The hotel is smart but has an informal, friendly atmosphere, fishing rods, bicycles, dogs and walking boots all welcomed. The hotel is on the coast and castles cycle route,we enjoyed cycling straight out of the carpark into the quiet and beautiful countryside. None experienced
The quality of the food was very high and the staff were very attentive and polite. The quality of the bedroom was adequate but we expected a higher standard.
Super location and friendly staff None
Nice fod good info on whiskey When checked out and leaving , I recommand hat the people at the reception desk inform/remember foreigners to drive at the left side. I did leave the hotel and had a car accident on the road up the hill ! total loss, just because I did forget I was in the uk
The position Burned Poached egg! How do you burn a poached egg!! Also the plug in the bathroom didn't work
The staff were very helpful. I have not received a more helpful, polite and welcoming welcome from all the hotels that I have stayed in over the years. The bed was comfortable, the food excellent and staff very attentive.
Staff were wonderful, helpful and really polite. None.
Hotel was comfortable and served excellent food - both dinner and breakfast. Was not easy to find in the dark though!
Friendly, mainly local staff; excellent food in both main Restaurant and Bistro; comfortable/relaxed atmosphere; ideal location for exploring Scottish Borders. Two night weekday stay and upgraded to a Superior Room at no extra cost. None
Staff friendly and helpful Would be helpful if a second chair in bedroom when occupied by 2 people
The room was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a good central location. There were not many vegetarian options on the menu.
Excellent accomodation, good staff, good food None
Lovely town By a busy road
very friendly staff and a very clean and pleasant room
Excellent, friendly staff. Room small but perfectly adequate, the real plus points were the bathroom which was big with a great shower and also the breakfast. Fantastic - I would definately recommend the Station Hotel. None
Clean and comfortable room. Good extras in the room - freeview TV, coffe/tea making + biscuits, trouser press. Excellent breakfast. Lack of water pressure in the shower
Quite frankly leaving A male member of staff at the hotel (not sure if owner or manager) ruined our stay. basically I thought he was immensely greedy. We had enquired about keeping the room on until the afternoon of our last day and he replied that someone was booked to come into it, however as soon as a payment was mentioned he allowed us to stay on until 2pm and then proceeded to charge us £30 on our card. I think this is outrageous and cannot be justified, had we known in advance of the price we would have left it and gone and paid for a nice meal for 2 somewhere to kill time. I also found when checking our bill that 2 small glasses of wine had cost us £7.50 and to add insult to injury we had not drank it because it was sour. Female staff very pleasant
friendly welcome and service breakfast a little plain
food was out of this world not what you would expect from a small town
The food was exceptional both evening meal and Breakfast Nothing at all
The management and staff were excellent and accomodating. Reservation was booked for my parents. They were able to check in early, with ease and a great welcome. They had a great experience at the hotel and would strongly recommend both for location, service and quality.
A large airy room, easy and secure parking
Being comfartable Good housekeeping, a rare comodity now. Excellent mini high tea menu and a great breakfast served courteously
Warm and friendly, comfortable room, excellent breakfast served with a smile. Just a minute or two walk to the lovely little village and interesting church.
The restaurant was excellent, comfortable and relaxing and appropriately priced. Parking was good and the rooms were large and comfortable with good facilities, the reception was courteous and efficient. No
The attention to detail. No, the proprietors are very busy updating and upgrading the hotel and this is clearly in evidence.
Town centre location, and the breakfast was lovely.....
room was cold until heating came on.
Clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
The Hotel was clean ,warm, comfortable and very peaceful. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We had dinner one night which wasn't quite up to standard.
The service was excellent from the minute we walked through the door. The staff were very attentive without being in your face. We felt that the staff were interested in you and were happy to find out what you were doing and could help with recommendations for places to visit and things to do.
Lovely location for a quiet weekend walking in the Scottish Borders. Nice restaurant with good choice of menu.
Excellent food, friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is under new management and upgrading is ongoing. We were in no way inconvenienced during our visit.
The room was a large and of good standard Staff were very friendly and attentive The food in the Bistro was of pub standard but at middle restaurant prices Out of character with the image of the hotel and needs to be improved to encourage repeat visits
Large room Pubic hair on bathroom floor on arrival, poor food, breakfast not hot.
Food, freindly staff

Lovely food and good, friendly staff and atmosphere
Lovely room and decor in general Drinks were very expensive (even allowing for usual high hotel bar prices).
