10.0 Excellent
Pros: location - so close to the beach, nice neighborhood room - super, view to the sea... unfortunately the weather was not very nice, but I don't think the hotel should be blamed for this :D bed- good, but this depends on everybody's back staff - very friendly and helpful

Pros: The view on the sea from the fourth floor is stunning thank you so much for the upgrade ! Elevator is a must see Super staff Very affordable price at the bar/room service
Cons: Breakfast doesn’t worth the price Limited common area Complementary bottle of water or greeting candy would have been appreciated for a 5 star hotel
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfast and room
Cons: Evening meal and bar food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building was architecturally splendid. A short walk from the hotel brought you to the beautiful paseo with fabulous shops and restaurants.
Cons: My only dislike was that the hotel temperatures were rather high in all areas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and location, staff were lovely.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Eurostars Hotel Real is as grand as photos indicate. It seemed to have everything you would expect in an upscale hotel - nice facilities and a beautiful view. We were able to park right out front. The desk staff was especially friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a cocktail late afternoon in their lounge and an excellent dinner later on in their restaurant.
Cons: Breakfast was not included and at $20 per person seemed a little high. The hotel is not within walking distance of other breakfast options either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the room was big. it had two queen size beds and plenty or room. two balconies. one enclosed so as to be part of the room amd the other one a regular balcony. the view was beautiful and could watch the sunrise. the furniture was impeccable and i could go on and on.
Cons: the bar was not well staffed and the re4staurant was not (decor) up to the rest of the hotel./
Hotel Sercotel Suite Palacio Del Mar - Santander - Building
3
8.2 Excellent (1,852 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Sercotel Suite Palacio del Mar in Santander, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Santander Ferry Terminal and El Sardinero Stadium. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. This hotel has 7 meeting rooms available for events.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room! Clean!
Cons: It's not a walking distance tothe Centrum (take taxi will be around 7euro) Breakfast is too expensive for 14euro/person (luckily, we got 50% discount at that time at our arrival -we didn't book breakfast in the beginning)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really nice, room was huge with living room, another separate room and bathroom. All was super cleaned. Location is excellent because you have Sardinero beach 5min. from the hotel (city center 25min.) Me with my friend were more than satisfied when after all day walking in the city center we went to huge comfortable bed. We had car so I was worried about parking, but during the weekend you can park on the street free. Hotel provides parking for 15 euro which is a lot. During the week you must pay in Santander in all places, but you can leave the car father from city center and go buy bus - 1.85 euro.
Cons: hairdryer - it was old dryer which stops working after 15 min... it was too warm - took time for my long hair
7.5 Good
Pros: Was given a small suite.
Cons: Hotel is looking rather tired and in need of a refresh. Two elderly flat screen TV's in the room - neither would respond to the remotes! Breakfast was not terribly good, especially as it was €14!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, large. Good location. Clean room.
Cons: Very expensive breakfast, While we were having breakfast, it was 11:00 am, and the staff no longer allowed to serve ourselves with a glass of juice. They took us out of the restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel ! ❤️ The staff were very helpful and did their best to accommodate us in anyway possible! Great value for money and only a 20minute walk from the centre ! The Room was also immaculate and very spacious!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The young lad who worked the bar, the restaurant and breakfast didn't stop smiling. The receptionist spoke excellent English which made me comfortable in a strange environment. The rooms are simply STUNNING and the photos don't do them justice. You don't get a room, you get A SUITE. There is a pianist in the evenings who speaks many languages, and he made me smile playing "land of hope and glory" when he realised I was English. It's a short drive from the ferry port so you do get much better value for money than being in the city. Everything has been created to imply lavish style and quality. I've recommended this hotel to others in alicante who drive here. A recommendation carries so much weight....
Cons: My ONLY negative is that, as I'd driven 10 hours in a truck from alicante I really wanted a cup of something /anything, but there is only a mini bar, no tea or coffee making facilities.

Pros: Excellent service at breakfast Great location for the ferry to UK
Cons: Not good choice for evening meal.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was a room
Cons: It stank of cigars, I arrived so late in the evening I could have asked for another room but the hour was late and I'd been driving for hours too much hassle. There was a picture of an English breakfast in the lift, guess what I asked and got ignored.

Pros: Free parking and location to the motorway were great it was cheap and the bed was clean and comfy , shame about the other issues as location is good with Corte inglais shopping centre within 5 min walk and nice bars close by
Cons: Bar shut on arrival 10.30pm and no food available, window in room 124 would not close correctly it was windy night and so make a howling wind/ whistling noise all night this hotel is very tired and needs a makeover could smell tobacco in the room too.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a junior suite in an almost circular room, with views of the casino and the beach. The beds were very comfortable, everything very clean. Breakfast was outstanding, wide-ranging and delicious. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was exceptionally refined. It was very good value too.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
5.0 Okay
Pros: location of the hotel, right in front of the beach.
Cons: I have not met so unhappy set of staff in the hospitality industry. From the older (grayish hair) who checked us in, who didn´t greet us nor smile, even the other staff didn´t even say hello nor smile. Hardly said anything. Didn´t say anything about breakfast, nor the valentines special (dinner, etc.) that they have. Didn´t even apologize about the construction going on in the building. A very bad mood was transferred to us from the staff right from the get go.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is very nice.
Cons: The room had very dirty windows. To be able to see the sea we had to open the windows. Furniture was very dated. The chairs in the hotel entrance gave a depressing impression. The hotel restaurant did not open in the evening, and we had poor and overpriced food in the cafeteria. This is not a 4* hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from our window. ..Our room was spotlessly clean and we had everything in it right down to a toothbrush and paste,a new one suppled every morning . The bed and shower were fabulous. ..we got room service to our room one morning and it was beautiful the lady couldn't have been more helpful. Fantastic walks just outside the hotel. ...supermarket just 2mins away and close to all restaurants cafe's etc fantastic location! Will definitely be back
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location of hotel was prefect for the beach and near the bars and some restaurants to eat in the evenings.
Cons: There is no ramps at the entrance to the hotel to take your suitcase.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Comfortable bed. Clean.
Cons: Limited Parking.
Hotel Bahia - Santander - Building

Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Planning an event in Santander? This hotel features 10760 square feet (1000 square meters) of event facilities. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was located close to the waterfront and also within 5 minutes walk of the main city centre. The surrounding area was quiet and our room was located on the city side eighth floor overlooking a park and a Cathedral which unfortunately for us was undergoing renovation and was scaffolded up spoiling an otherwise pleasant city view. The room itself was excellent, elegantly furnished, clean bright and large. We were very comfortable in the large queen bed. There were a few tapas bars and restaurants very close so dining out was easy. The reception was very efficient, they spoke good English and were very helpful with information about the city. A high quality hotel feel about the whole establishment.
Cons: The access to the carpark is off a pedestrian/vehicle shared mall, a little difficult to identify, so was a little strange to us. But we made it ! Nothing negative about the hotel at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although our stay was during the coronavirus outbreak and there were governmental restrictions in place and the hotel was due to close the next day, the staff were absolutely excellent, and although the food menus was also limited due to these restrictions, the quality was very good, all things considered I can give our stay 10 out of 10.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, the hotel is clean, the rooms are large and with good views even for the city. The hotel has 4 elevators, which is great and the staff is kind.
Cons: The rooms are not soundproof, I could hear people moaning, laughing, talking, slamming at night. And the sound was not from the halls but from the other rooms. Plus the big window offers good views but also sounds from the people on the street. We had city view and stood at 6th floor but in the weekend we could still hear people talking and laughing down on the street. They tried to soundproof the rooms, you have a second door to protect you from sounds that come from the hall, the floor is carpet to absorb the sounds, but it is not enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed so comfortable. Always enjoy this hotel
Cons: Nothing
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Very good location and amazing views
Cons: Room too warm and difficult to cool down
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for the Ferry, Cathedral, Botin Centre, Historic area and shops, and yet it is quiet inside the hotel. Rooms are spacious, staff are friendly & courteous. Food is good, and reasonably priced. Breakfast is acceptable. Parking is via a pedestrian area, just follow the signs, and then via a lift. Parking Spaces are generous (which makes a change in Spain.
Cons: Coffee & hot food at breakfast could be improved.

Cons: No kettle in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean. Great location. Good hair dryer. Variety of selection of pillows to choose from.
Cons: The standard fare should include the breakfast, it shouldn’t be extra for the price one is paying.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Poor towels. Very small rooms
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: 1. WIFI does NOT work. Missed deadlines! I was unable to do work because of wifi not working, missed important deadlines! 2. Every door slams so loud that sounds like bomb. 3. Smells cheap and kinda nasty. 4. Receptionists are incompetent and showed attitude instead of trying to resolve the problems related o WIFI. 5. The day I was leaving they proposed to change room. I thought it was clear expression of mocking and making fun of a customer. 5. In room 506, there is a light on the building outside near the window, which so strong that at night seems like you are the beach in front of the sun and the curtains do not help. I am not a light sleeper and I fall asleep easily, during this 4 day stay I could not sleep because of that and extremely loud door slamming. Overall experience was horrible. I flew across the globe from Los Angeles for work and due to mainly almost not working WIFI my trip was next to nothing. I feel I was robbed. This hotel does not deserve to be 4 star one.

6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good and the staff helpful.
Cons: A constant problem throughout my stay in Spain... The lack of respect from other hotel guests. This meant shouting and other loud noises, way passed a reasonable time. Not the hotel's fault but perhaps need more noise insulation and signs reminding people to keep noise to a minimum.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
8.0 Excellent

Cons: The only think I miss is a gym
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location and the room was very good because of facing to the seaside having nice sea view.
Cons: Location is good originally. But the big construction is going on the front of the hotel so that we couldn't drive a car to the hotel. It was so complicated to reach the hotel. They should provide how to reach to the hotel in advance information. This is very bad point on this hotel.

This is our favourite hotel in the world, we cannot say a word against it and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Santander, you will not be disappointed.

Pros: Room very nice, parking garage beneath hotel at no extra charge, lovely walks nearby, comfy lounge, decent wine at 2 euro a glass. Balcony with room too.
Cons: We were served rotten meat in a hamburger, it was rancid. We had to explain the problem to 3 members of staff even though I speak Spanish, it was embarrassing in front of other guests.

Pros: Great location, near the beach and promenade. Garage parking. Informative and helpful reception staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a good hotel, conveniently located at one end of the promenade about ten minutes' walk from the centre of the Old Town. It's clean and well-positioned, with rooms having dramatic views over the sea - at least, ours did. You can park on the street or there is secure parking too. Our room was a good size, with a well-appointed bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a good buffet and well-managed. When we left for the ferry in the morning, we foolishly followed the satnav. Good tip: go right to the other end of Santander and come back in again, following the yellow signs!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view, location and food
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was absolutely perfect. You can either walk to the main beach, Magdalena Palace or walk back to downtown. Taxis and public transportation are easy to get. The hotel staff was very professional and the service was exceptionally good. The view from the standard room was acceptable.
Cons: The breakfast was not remarkable, very much the Spanish style ( lacking a variety of hot dishes ). The standard room is a little small and on high season it would be surely and overprized close-to-the-beach option.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: With the price of a little over €30 per night, this has to be a great find. Staff are friendly and helpful. They tolerated my very poor Spanish with grace. Room was large and well appointed with separate bathroom which included a bath/shower, basin, toilet and bidet. Two separate beds pushed together with firm mattresses - just how I like a mattress. Parking for my motorcycle was right outside the front door, which nobody seemed to mind. Room faced the front, so I could keep an eye on the bike, but the area seemed very safe. Very good for the price!
Cons: Bear in mind the price! There are a few things not to like, some fixable, some not. Start off....hotel has “Hotel” sign out front, no name, trivial I know, but as a traveler, some confirmation that you are at the right place would be nice. My room was on the second floor, facing the front of the building. This was noisy, if you are a light sleeper, this is not for you, however, most of the noise finished at about midnight. The noise comes from the cafe at the front, which attracts very loud people assisted in their noise making quest by the railway in the distance. One noise issue that is fixable is the front door, which, when open, slams with an almighty crash that can be heard and felt, throughout the building. Easily fixed with a soft-close mechanism. Considering the price, not much to gripe about.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were very helpful.
Cons: Difficult to find. Only says Hotel in front nothing else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, clean
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation was very reasonable, clean & roomy
Cons: Even allowing for a language barrier, the staff at reception made no effort to be friendly
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: A little run down but clean. No secure parking but the staff placed our motorbike next to the main entrance do it was monitored overnight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, good location for the Camino.
7.0 Good
Pros: Warm room. Clean. Roomy. Good WiFi. Quiet. Nice bedding. Lift.
Cons: Dated decor - dark wood paneling. No automatic lights in the hall. Disappointing and off-putting front entrance. No available street parking.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and comfortable and my room had a fridge, which is excellent. The hotel is dated, but it was very functional and had everything I needed. Staff at reception only speak Spanish, but this was not a problem. The hotel is close to supermarkets, restaurants, a laundry and the train station.
Cons: There was a massive party going on immediately under my room (I was on the first floor). The loud music and banging noise went on all night. I couldn’t sleep, even with ear plugs. I would have appreciated being given a room in a quieter location.

Pros: The room was perfect and immaculate. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Nothing really, parking could be difficult as building of new road's at the moment. That's all.
6.5 Good
Pros: Large room, good bed, close to the beach.
Cons: Poor breakfast.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Communication that price had increased. I asked for a double bed and they put me into a 'suit' aparently. I didnt ask any questions as it was the same as normal When leaving i was told they couldnt do anything there and then to resolve the issue and that i had been made aware of price change ‘which i hadnt’
7.0 Good
Pros: Good large room with Juliet balcony, pleasant reception and restaurant staff. Excellent location.
Cons: Only one small pillow each, no spares. A very smelly bathroom probably because the bathroom heater couldn't be turned off and being under the wash basin, was constantly drying out the water trap. Only one English language TV channel, that being CNBC. Bedroom door loose on hinges and hard to close quietly. Breakfast and dinner not good value nor was the car park.
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely location, comfortable if not a little dated room. Great water pressure in shower. Good parking. Friendly front desk staff.
Cons: Restaurant and snack bar were lacking soul. We took our custom to the sister hotel across the road.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was really friendly.
Cons: I will start with the fact that I was with my mother and right next to our room there was a woman screaming having sex so I felt in a really cheap hostal instead of a 4 star hotel. For the records, there was no coffee or water which is really common with a 4 star hotel. At least leave a glass to drink water for the tap.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed just for the night but was convenient for us as was only a 10-15min drive to the port. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The was turned on so the room was nice and warm when we arrived late at night. Great that there was a little cafe onsite as we were able to have a coffee in the morning before we left.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was an ideal place to stay coming from the ferry for just one night before travelling on the next day. Easy access up the road to the A67. Good value for money. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Perhaps a bit dated but that didn’t really matter.
7.5 Good
Pros: The food in the cafeteria was excellent, the staff were friendly.
Cons: Think the hotel could do with a bit of TLC.
7.1 Good
Pros: Quite, little cafe/restaurant was good. Had the room with balcony 201, very nice!
Cons: Long way from nearest place to walk ie town.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and you have a nice cafe just below the hotel.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bedside lights.
Cons: It advertised itself as a hotel with both restaurant and bar with snacks, actually both bar and restaurant did not open until 9pm, we arrived at 4pm having driven or a long way and wanted to eat and have an early night, this place is in the middle of nowhere regarding eating places, we were reduced to getting back in the car and finding a garage with mini Market where we bought snack foods and ate them in our room, there are no facilities to even make a hot drink. We were a bit taken aback top see that the 'menu' was 50euros a head. The room was very clean, but outdated, there were good bedside reading lamps, there was a bath in the bathroom but no plug so impossible to bath, the shower was a hand held attached to the bath taps and the bath so slippery that I was afraid to use it. There was no plug in the hand basin either so difficult to wash. There is a large car park and we were able to park our car and trailer easily. All in all it was priced just about right, OK for one night. We got the impression that the managers ran the place entirely to their own satisfaction, customer could take it or leave it. We would rather leave it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a restaurant next to it that belong to the same property. Very easy to park the car. It has a hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel and everyday room cleaning. I liked a lot the staff and the mussels they serve in the restaurant. It's not far from the airport although you need a car to get there as the communication by bus is one in every 2 hours from Santander.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel well placed for the town centre, with markets etc in walking distance. Free parking out front.
Cons: This is supposedly a dog freiendly hotel, but they request you to put your dog in your car overnight. This isn't welcoming dogs! If you don't want dogs to sleep in the rooms, then just say you don't take dogs! (We didn't do this, btw, and it doesn't seem to be an enforced rule)
6.0 Good

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel very close to the railway and bus stations. Quiet room with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities available too. Excellent breakfast and really friendly staff.
Cons: The use of air freshener in the room was a little overpowering, but once I opened the windows it soon went away.
