10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hans-Norbert Bed-and-Breakfast is very good. It is just half a mile from the small town of Hallgarten, going up on a low-grade hill. You have to have a car to get to the Property, this small village is not served by train. We loved the view of the wineries from our 2nd-floor room, as the property overlooks the Rhein valley. The owners are winemakers, and you can buy/taste their very good white wines. For relaxing and biking around it is an excellent place. And Hans-Norbert, the owner, is very helpful and emphatic. The owner´s English proficiency is not good, but he and she make yourself comfortable trying to communicate and are very sympathetic. The breakfast is excellent also.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super location, hosts and facilities. The winery was very interesting and we enjoyed tasting their wines and bought a couple of cases to bring home. Would certainly recommend this place and hope to return ourselves

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived very early in the morning by train, straight from Frankfurt airport. After a very short walk from the train station, we were welcomed with a cup of coffee. Our room was not available yet, but they kindly stored our luggage and gave us advice on what to see and do in the mean time. When we arrived back at the hotel, a complimentary glass of sparkling wine was a nice touch while we checked in. We loved our spacious room and bathroom, the very comfortable beds, great breakfast and friendly staff - they made us feel so welcome for the two days we stayed here - a real home from home. We ate most of our meals in the very lively german restaurant at the Schloss. Good food (the best apple-strudel I have ever had), live music (piano in the afternoon and a band at night) and dancing. This place is clearly very popular and you should reserve your table well in advance. We had such a great time. Many thanks to the Breuer family who are actively involved in running this establishment.
Cons: Every thing was perfect, only thing we disliked, was to leave the place behind! Will definitely come back.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: the welcome in the hotel was not so friendly

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast. Location somewhat far from the center (walking distance)
6.0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, pretty building, clean room.
Cons: My single size room was right outside a main hallway and door, which every time someone passed by and opened/shut the door, it was loud, disruptive. Past 22:00, guests were shouting outside my room in the hall, banging objects around, it was not relaxing... made me uncomfortable. The room itself was really nice and extremely clean, but the walls are not sound proof, so it felt like when someone opened the hallway door, they were opening mine... That was the only negative, besides that, I enjoyed everything about this hotel and location!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in an excellent location only 8 minutes walk from the old town. We had a very nice welcome from the owners and were even given a room upgrade. Free parking was good. The room itself was excellent with a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was beyond expectations with lots of choice and you could even make your own waffles. Great

Pros: The hotel is less than a block from the plaza. There are so many places within a 5 minute walk. Our room (437) had an amazing view of vineyards, and an old church right next door. Breakfast was good. Staff were super helpful, friendly, and humorous. We liked hearing the church bells, but light sleepers may not.
Cons: Even with the heaters off, our room was a little warm. If you have an irrational fear of ducks, this hotel is not for you.

Cons: Hotel appeared to be unmanned nighttime. Saying goodbye.
7.5 Good
Pros: Rooms were a decent size, with comfy beds (minus the square pillows, which I will never understand!). Staff were great - even called in the evening to check I was still en route!
Cons: Streetside room, which meant you could hear everything from cars driving down, to people’s conversations and even high heels stomping the cobbles! As comfy as the bed was, I will never understand the European way - square pillows and smaller-than-single duvets?!! Tea and coffee facilities would’ve been nice, but minor in comparison.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was a bit small but comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Hotel is several minutes away from the center. Staff was kind. The room was clean.
Cons: I wish there was a kettle for making coffee.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were very nice. Everyone was very helpful. Room was clean and everything very smooth with booking. Helpful with suggestions before checking in. Tourist office nearby. Lovely area. We had to cancel one of our party due to an accident, but there was no hassle with this a few days before with the hotels or with booking.com, both made it very easy. Taxi and Shuttle bus were good to get from hotel to Frankfurt airport.
Cons: The breakfast was less than in the hotel in Darmstadt, which we were staying the previous nights. Then again, the standard German breakfast is less than the Irish one, so perhaps it is good compared to its neighboring establishments.

Pros: Very friendly family run hotel. Son and father (we think) very helpful in offering travel advice. Hotel immaculate although a bit dated. Noisy rooms with road and railways either side of Rhine valley. Affects most hotels along Rhine valley. Got used to noise after 1st night. We bought evening meals in the hotel on 2 nights and they were excellent. Hotel has small car park that fills up quickly. There is paid on street parking (0900 - 1800 ) outside the front of the hotel.Close to KD line ferry stop.
Cons: Quieter. Better ventilation in rooms without opening windows (and letting in noise)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful manager and staff, great location, excellent food.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our initial staff assistance was amazing - tons of help beyond expectations and a great attitude. The location (town, river, easy street access, views) was simply the best. Our fourth floor balcony was great, and we had an amazing view of Schloss Burg Rheinstein and all the activities on the Rhine. Food at the restaurant was also outstanding, and they had a fine selection of Assmannshausen wines. Will definitely return.
Cons: For an international destination, a bit stronger English speaking skills by some staff would be nice. A bit more powerful air conditioning would be nice, but it did work pretty well given enough time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent
Cons: Lack of off road parking

8.8 Excellent
Pros: I like that Julia Wasem (I hope that I remembered the name correctly) convinced the restaurant to still accommodate us for dinner at 09:30 p.m. The wine and food at the restaurant was excellent and very good value for money. I chose asparagus and beef; both were cooked to perfection and very nicely presented.
Cons: The fact that the restaurant closes at 10 p.m. and we were only allowed to order 1 course when we arrived at 09:30 p.m. The building in which we were accommodated was new and the rooms still had a strong construction chemicals smell to them.

7.3 Good
Pros: The room was a good size, extremely clean and warm and the bathroom had a good hot shower. Also the location was perfect for our stay.
6.0 Good
Pros: it was easy walking distance from the KD Rhein Dock, almost mid town, 3 small blocks from the Famous DrosselGasse street.
6.3 Good
Pros: The restaurant was excellent. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. At check out they helped me use their computer to access online checkin and print my boarding passes for Lufthansa. This was very helpful and more secure than using the internet cafe around the corner.
Cons: We booked a balcony room which did give us an outside room and a view of the Rhine but the outside room was also street noisy and I would probably avoid this in future. There was also a lot of elevator and water flushing noise in this room due to it being on the first floor.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, far enough from the train line that cross the whole town. Good located, good breakfast and very nice staff. I do recommend this hotel and intend to come back in the next vacation.
6.0 Good
Pros: We liked the location - very central and close to the Rhine cruises. Easy to walk into the small town.Comfortable room and easy parking in their car park.A good place to explore the Rhine. Great transport links if you need them.Friendly people as well. The trains run all night so it was great to be a little way away from the river to avoid being disturbed by the noise. You can easily spend a day in Rudesheim, but then there are lots of other places round about to visit. The Rhine cruises are very good if you like that sort of thing. A very beatiful area of Germany with many excellent castles to explore. The local wine is also worth the trip as it isn't that easy to find in other places.
Cons: It wasn't worth paying extra for the balcony - too small and just a view of a street. Some of the breakfast food wasn't very fresh (to be precise, the orange juice had gone off and the scrambled agg tasted of fish, but perhaps we were just unlucky and I am sure the hotelier would have put this right had we had the time to discuss this at the time, but we had a Rhine cruise nto catch). The area seems to be catering for/attracting mostly older people - not many young people in the area, but this didn't bother us.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very Friendly Staff,very helpfull.
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: staff was very helpful; good location for christmas market
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Excellent food
Cons: The parking facilities
6.0 Good
Pros: very nice breakfast, excellent location in center of city...located one block from trains....critical during hot weather when the windows are open...hotels located facing the train line (along the Rhine river) are very noisy

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room we stayed in was very spacious and very clean. The location of the property in relation to the sights was fantastic. Very easy to get around, they also had onsite parking provided which was a huge plus for us and our rental car. Breakfast was delightful we love a good cheese and charcuterie spread when we travel Europe! The staff was so delightful and very help always wanting to make sure we felt welcomed and relaxed.
Cons: Although our view from our room was beautiful, there were a set of train tracks directly across the street from the property, and at night it was a little noisier than we prefer. However we were provided earplugs and the team there made a great effort to ensure we were comfortable. We would definitely stay again but I would probably for go the view for an inward room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great service and very good breakfast.
Cons: No need to complain.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail for providing a fan and earplugs in your room if you are sensitive to noise since the hotel is right across the train station and Rhine River. I love the setting of the breakfast area especially when you sat by the window with the view of the Rhine River and mountain. Also, I really appreciate that the owner even parked our car for us in their garage and made sure we can load our stuff conveniently. ♥️
Cons: Mattress is not my type, I find it too soft. Also, I prefer shower than tubs. Wi-fi in our room is on and off.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staffs, the location is excellent and great breakfast. Would love to stay here again.

Cons: Over 20 spiders in the room... yuck
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is easy to get to by car. Plenty of free parking and very friendly staff. The facilities are clean and the breakfast is very nice. I requested a quiet room during booking and received a confirmation from the hotel via email. Check-in was smooth.
Cons: I stay a lot in Germany for business and frequently sleep in hotel rooms. Depending on the price range, my experience is that the mattress is always an indicator for the quality of the hotel. In this case, the mattress was way too hard for my taste. Good mattresses are expensive and this is where the Sutter's Landhaus cut a corner. I know it is a personal preference but when it keeps you from a good night sleep, the fantastic breakfast cannot compensate.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A one night stop on our visit to Black Forrest - good easy check in by friendly staff. Large safe car parking for our motorbikes. Room quite big and a clean bathroom. The restaurant area is beautiful and impressive with its lovely beams. There are a couple of outside drinking/eating areas but it was quite cool on the day of our visit so we ate if the restaurant. We all enjoyed our food - pretty good value for money. Nice bar area on the ground floor - some comfy seats would be lovely after a long bike ride but you cant have everything. Breakfast was the usual continental, not a massive selection but not bad. I would definitely stay here again.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was a bit meager, staff did not backfill empty containers.
4.2 Okay
Pros: - Great location - Opening time restaurant
Cons: - No airconditioning in the rooms and a lot of noise when opening the windows, so very warm. - Employees only speak German. - V-Pay is not accepted and no solution is provided and they blame you. - Very high price for the facilities/rooms. - Receptionist picked up the phone while we were checking out and literally threw the invoice towards us, suggesting we had to leave. - Several spiderwebs between the sheets, maybe because the room had not been used for a while.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff and hotel were much nicer than I expected for the price. Everything was very clean. The staff at the restaurant attached the the hotel was also very attentive.
Cons: The bed was very firm and noises from the surrounding rooms could be heard in our room.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice environment, plenty of parking space
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We like everything and it was kids friendly hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay. Friendly staff at reception and the restaurant. Restaurant food was excellent, lovely eating outdoors on the balcony. Plenty of car/ motorcycle parking spaces.
Cons: Room didn't have air conditioning so was a bit hot , even with the windows open.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and kind, super location for this lovely town, and easy spacious private parking by a small walk.
Cons: Wifi was very slow and tricky to get high signal, an expander would be a solution for them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Felsenkeller has a great staff and a marvelous location. It was a good place to sleep in a quiet location, yet very close to all the opportunities that Ruedesheim has to offer. The breakfast was superb with a wide variety of choices, including scrambled eggs and sausage, traditional German breads and cold cuts, to granola cereal and fresh fruits. We could not be happier with this hotel.
Cons: The only possible complaint is the number of stairs just to get to the elevator... But not bad.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff was very helpful in explaining all the ways to see things. There is free parking, too!
Cons: There is a train that runs outside but this is unavoidable in the Rhine Valley. There is a railway that runs the length of the Rhine. But this hotel gives you ear plugs which is very helpful :D
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and very friendly family/owner.
Cons: No elevator. We had heavy luggage to carry up to second floor. Location pretty poor. We had no complaints about noise which we have read on TripAdvisor as long as windows were closed. Perfect airconditioning.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: As we have a car while we’re travelling we always look for parking which was supplied free of charge here, but also means we don’t need to be central, which this isn’t. Hotel room was large, clean and very comfortable. I do need to add though that it is next to the railway line and if you’re a light sleeper might be something to think about. However they have taken good steps to alleviate the sound. Its certainly value for money and the owner was very informative. Breakfast was plentiful and nicely presented
Cons: If anything the train noise could be a problem
7.0 Good
Pros: staff are very knowledgeable about the local area and go that little extra to make the stay a good one
Cons: a little close to the train line
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful reception from host and very convenient and comfortable
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very friendly clean comfortable place
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Freindly helpfull Staff, room cleaned everyday. Room was as advertised.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms just renewed, big and comfortable. No noise although the railroad just across. No lift. Location not so near the town, you need a car. Staff very kind. Excellent wifi.
Cons: Front door always closed, you need to have your key always with you. Location is not very good, you can see the river but just a little from your room. Plugs were everywhere but where you need them, that is near the table. Hard to charge laptops and phones,
