This is the second time I have stayed at the Asgard Hotel (my partner has stayed there a lot more often) and yet again we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff are very friendly and their English is very good. The rooms are comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast. Location is very good being on the outskirts of Worms. This year we had a room with a much smaller bathroom and the shower was a bit cramped.
The staff were helpful. The rooms were spacious and had nice views. The breakfast was good and started early. All in all, we had a really good stay. There was no kettle in the room.
24 hour reception staff, excellent breakfast.
The breakfast is very good, and the pillow and quilt are better than many 3-star hotels. This is a cooking corner inside thesecond wardrobe. some room on the street side are noisy.
The private underground parking was excellent and the breakfast was lovely with many different choices on offer.
Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Would have liked tea/coffee making facility in room.
close to the autobahn
Size and comfort of room Loctaion
We booked the "double room" on booking.com and got a very large room, more like a small appartment, with couches, table etc. Room was spotlessly clean. Location was fine, about 10 minutes walking to Worms center. Goog parking underneath the hotel. The description mentioned a sauna, which was closed due to reconstruction. Bathroom was quite basic and for example had no one person packages of shampoo, soap, etc.
We (me and my wife) appreciated very much the breakfast and the cleansiness and large side of the bedroom (provided also with a little kitchen) there is no free parking owned by the hotel
I normally stay in Wiesbaden when I come to town here but all of the hotels were booked. So this was all I could find. The next time I return to Wiesbaden I will intentionally book at this hotel. It is worth the drive at the end of the day. The personnel were friendly and the laid back atmosphere was wonderful. If you can't relax and get rest here you can't relax anywhere. The gardens were excellent but I didn't have time to enjoy them. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was great. It felt like home instead of a chain hotel. Much more personal. I would say that there is no bar or restaurant in the hotel. But then I discovered that just down the street was one of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever been to. And I have been to Italy numerous times.
I most like the buffet breakfast and the decoration of the restaurant. I don't like too much stairs to my room. (specially in winter time)
The care and friendliness of the staff was really good. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We also liked the quiet location very much. No - everything was great.
Friendly and very helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet, quiet athmosphere, large comfortable rooms, pretty garden
Friendly and helpful staff
Friendly hotel in a quiet environment. Spacious room. Bed and furniture reasonable-good. Nice (small) garden. Small indoor pool and sauna. Certainly not a 4 star hotel. Room and bathroom finishing are clearly do-it yourself and 2-3 star at the most. Curtains on a cable (emergency solution?) . Wall / ceiling decoration unfinished. Shower curtain came down and will come down again, unless better fixed. No elevator, only outside (!!) staircase to all 4 levels, absence of restaurant, dated breakfast room.
Very helpful people is in charge. Enter to the hotel is through the restaurant which was surprising, but there was quite a good ambience and we dined there quite well at a reasonable price and nice quality for comfort food. There is no elevator to go to the rooms which was not a problem for us but might be for other people. Bed was not very large.
The location is super, you overlook the Dom of St. Peter. They could use some black out curtains on the window. Breakfast was not available until 8 AM. Hot water for showers and sink was inconsistent.
Location, value for the money, staff, able to listen to the local church bells. Room faced the courtyard and the restaurant personnel sometimes made noise until around 10PM. The local church bells starting ringing at 7AM which may be a concern to some people.
Central location right beside the Dom and with a pleasant terrace where food and drink can be served. Friendly and helpful staff who tried hard to overcome the language barrier. Would happily return.
it was in the city lovely shopping center hope to come again
staff, location no elevator
The hotel staff was wonderful and I felt very welcome there. Two things. One, it was hard getting the suitcases up the stairs. Got through it so not that big of a deal. Two, I did not want to leave I liked it so much.
The position was outstanding. Right across the street from the tourist office and write next to the pedestrian mall. We found the lighting very depressing. Please use stronger bulbs.
The hotel is in the very center of the city just two hundred meters from the cathedral.
I especially like the location. You can walk anywhere in Worms from this hotel. It is not luxury, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is included in the fee and is a great way to start the day. I never had to eat lunch, which saved me money. This is the second time I have stayed at Kriemhilde and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. My room was on the inner courtyard side and a bit noisy from the kitchen in the mornings and evenings. That didn't bother me but it might bother someone who was a light sleeper.
Very friendly, helpful staff; lovely room; great breakfast; gorgeous location; very relaxing break. Thankyou
Pleasant staff, very clean and the wine selection, which was very good came predominantly from thier own winery. We were surprised that they produced red wine, and it was very good. The food was very salty
The hotel is in a quiet location. The standard of the meals and variance were very good. A very pleasant hotel to stay in.
frendly staff, wine shop in hotel - wine is the best need staff on reseption on sunday
Very clean, very peaceful after a long drive, very helpful staff despite language barrier
The large room and the service when selecting and tasting wines. I had hoped the hotel would have been cozier.
I like all place of the hotel. No, There was not any.
they treat you like family
Excellent Service and very accomodating staff.
Central location, good breakfast, though restaurant closed on Sat evening
An excellent location in the center of Worms. Although the front entry is on a pedestrian street, the rear entrance is accessible by car and is close to the convenient (free) underground garage of the hotel. Don't be mislead by the appearance of the building on the outside, as on the inside the room (and the rest of the hotel) were very nice, new and pleasant.
No A/C room was very hot even with windows open, no screens on windows to keep bugs out.
Sight seeing in both Worms and Heidleberg
The location and friendliness of the staff
Friendliness of staff and their recommendation of a restaurant
As I was in a wheelchair it was helpful to have a lift and an entrance with no steps. This was a major reason for choosing this hotel.
Size of room was way above expectations. Good buffet breakfast. Location was central to sites. No driving was necessary.
Free, convenient and easy car parking
The restaurant and bar staff were effecient and the quality of food was excellent. Over a pleasant experience. The breakfast could have some additional food items.
Spacious room. Good parking. On the second day a visiting conference descended like locusts on the breakfast buffet so that by the time we arrived there was little choice & the dishes were not replenished.
The staff was helpful and able to answer my questions. I was disappointed that the hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday.
Breakfast was great. The fact that internet was free only in the lobby. Should be free in the room.
the hotel no
Service was good Room was hot
Cleanliness, arrangements, Buffet, etc. A hotel in this category should offer a business center with intenet access for clients or at least a w-lan connection at the lobby. Thefefore "poor" in services / facilities
It was an old hotel that had been renovated some time ago and good value for money. The food servcie staff for dinner were great and gave good advice on food and wine. Only free internet in the foyer and bar - not in the rooms.
This is a business hotel with its own, free, carpark and was very quiet the weekend we stayed there. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Our room was on the top floor and was enormous, I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel room which has its own lobby! No air-con, but a fan was provided. There was a pretty little terrace. The hotel was about 10 mins walk from the centre of Worms. No air-con.
Great room, everything very clean, birds singing, no moskitoes, very friendly staff well it was a bit of a problem that the staff didn't speak english
breakfast ok no reception, no staff, internet codes were not working, ice chilly room, 14'' tv (!!), windows/door in common balcony/staircase - obliged to have windows shut, a very bad experience...
Nice clean rooms in a quite environment. Breakfast was good and enough choice. There is also a good, seperate, restaurant. Free internet. The hotel is part of a wine farm, surrounded by winefields
Excellent room, spacious, luxury bathroom, and very elegantly presented breakfast nothing
It was ideal as a stopover location. We booked an apartment which had cooking facilities which were useful. It was very clean and comfortable.
The room was nice, everthing was new and situated in the middle of a vineyard We were asked to pay for the double room more than what was agreed upon beforehand by mail
Apartment was very comfortable and the staff pleasant I was disappointed to find, on my arrival early evening that the adjoining restaurant was closed. Apparently it does not open on a Wednesday.
Well furnished and clean rooms. Room was classified as an apparement. However, no tea and coffee facility (tea pot/ coffee pot) was available.
Our room did not smell clean - especially the bed. We were traveling with another couple who experienced the same problems. The window coverings had obviously not been cleaned in a very long time. An old sock was found behind something which should have been moved while vacuuming.
Helpfulness of staff in providing local information.
convenient for motorway.large room with good shower en suite facilities. We were made very welcome and good breakfast was provided.Good value. this is a large very old medieval building, musty smelling and arriving in a thunderstorm, was very spooky. It is also difficult to see from the road. we passed it twice before stopping to ask for its wherabouts. There's no facilities for eating but several eating places nearby.I wouldn't recommend it to most people but some would love it.
It was near the motorway. Extremely good value for money and clean. Interesting building. Proprietor could speak English and was very helpful and obliging.
Interesting House, Big comfortable bed, Good Breakfast served in room. Very quiet area. We visited in February for an overnight en-route to Bavaria. Could be very nice in Summer as an inexpensive local base for exploring the Rhine Bathroom dowdy, dirty skirting boards. House was very cold, but bedroom was adequately heated.
