The terrace was lovely for eating dinner and the food was excellant with courteous staff.
The service was very slow at dinner we waited approx 20 mins before being offered the menus.

We enjoyed the setting. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. It was readily accessible from the motorway.
It needed redecoration and traded too much on its fading splendour. The garden needed much attention and the cheap garden ornaments were not impressive. While the restaurant is undoubtedly very good, the staff should be able to offer alternative places to eat especially for families with younger children - even if not in the hotel restaurant.

Very friendly staff and fabulous food. Beautifuuly appointed rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect after a long drive I wish we could have stayed longer and wil defintely go back
