10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel! Welcoming staff, good facilities, tasty breakfast. Exceptional stay!
Cons: Everything was perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, well equipped and immaculate. The bed was large and the bedding was crisp and cost. The bathroom / shower was spotless and well designed with a bright and airy colour scheme. The room check in process was absolutely brilliant and very professional with a tour of the hotel main communal areas. The spa / pool area was brand new and so relaxing with everything you could wish for. Parking was easy and luggage was take from the car to reception The bar and the atmosphere was great. We loved it The hotel overall was one I would recommend
Cons: The brassiere was a disappointing meal and the service in the restaurant wasn’t brilliant on the evening we were there. The bread was dry, no butter offered and the menu was fairly limited. The lady servicing us had broken false nails. The atmosphere was much more like a large chain hotel restaurant not the standard the hotel upheld in all other areas. The breakfast was disappointing with hot foods looking dry and unappealing, bread left out and dry and pastries left to go dry. Again service was just okay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an exceptional hotel and the staff were all so helpful and friendly. It is an easy walk into Cognac from the hotel. There is lots of convent parking at the hotel. The food in the restaurant was excellent although a little bit expensive.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: everything
Cons: i cannot think about anything I didn’t like.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location. People at reception desk were very helpful. Arriving late in the evening was not an issue, even for the restaurant.
Cons: Our waiter at the restaurant/brasserie was not at the top of his game. Neglecting our table more often than not.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a very nice design and special atmosphere since it had been rebuilt at the place of the former cognac distillery. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The staff is amazing and very welcoming. The nice touch of care has been seen even in tiny details. For instance, the room service prepared a bed before sleeping, they placed a little comfy bedding on the floor that allowed to place your feet on something warm after waking up and leaving your bed, they also put a bottle of water on bed table for each person. On top of that, the spa is just amazing. The swimming pool is quite big, there is also a jacuzzi, a sauna and a hammam. It is very relaxing to spend your time at the spa when it is rainy outside. The hotel also proposed some beverages (water, tea) and fruits for free at the spa area.
Cons: n/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Contemporary, luxurious common rooms & super comfortable, well equipped bedrooms. Great pool! Loved dinner in “Foudres”. Staff all helpful. English spoken.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located...clean and comfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was extremely helpful and given the normally average performance of other more aged IBIS, this place is extraordinarily well managed. The breakfast exceeded the usual IBIS chain standard with some French touch to it, fresh egg boiling facilities etc. Parking is for free on the other side of the road.
Cons: Well, if you wished to have a panoramic view over the hills and winyards of Cognac, this would be the wrong hotel. But this is not what you can expect when you go to an IBIS in the City centre anyway.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Price, cleanliness, fairly good location, free public parking oppsite, pleasant staff.
Cons: Aircon dod not seem to be operating correctly. Was pumping heat when set to cool. Turned it off & opened window.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable. Great breakfast. Fantastic staff
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is maintained in the standard of chain hotels in a good sense. Comfortable beds. Good, though not very varied breakfast (I recommend really fluffy scrambled eggs). Free and spacious enough parking in front of the hotel. A good "stop" for traveling families (including four-legged family members :) ). For travellers with a little bit more time I recommend a charming neighborhood, a "house" of cognac.
Cons: The bathroom in our room would require a bit "refresh", especially in the shower area (clear signs of moisture on the entrance door and surrounding were observed).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful and friendly staff throughout. Great breakfast included in the rate. Free Tea/ coffee with pastries available in the reception.
Cons: Rooms are very basic, but that is Ibis!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge parking
Cons: No kettle with tea or coffee Half bottle of water was to pay!
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: For 80 euro a night this place is a rip off. There is nothing around except awful fast food. The breakfast is disgusting. The towels in the rooms are thin and frayed. The pillows are tiny. It would be fine at 40 euro. I would compare it to a formula one hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Had to go around roundabouts a couple of times to work out how to get into place

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. The Chateau was full of character. Accommodation was very good and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
4.6 Okay
Pros: A lovely chateau set in lovely grounds just a few miles from Cognac. Room clean and well equipped although rustic.
Cons: We love rustic, however the general impression was one of lack of attention. We think we were the only guests staying the night but there was a full ashtray on the garden table and the pool needed a good clean. We were a little confused about the catering arrangements as the website shows restaurant facilities, except for breakfast we saw no evidence. The biggest issue though were the cats.....on arrival we were met by one who led us inside, no problem. I went to the room and opened the windows leaving the shutters slightly open. On my return to the room two cats were sat on the bed! We stayed in the garden for about an hour, during that time we saw 9 cats. We like cats, we have one, but this was a little over the top. During the night we had to keep the windows shut (on a very hot night) to stop the cats entering. Breakfast was a good spread however we just could not get over the thought that the cats might have sampled it before us!
7.5 Good
Pros: The ambience
Cons: The catering but we presented a challenge

Cons: -

Cons: Nothing.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was good, with overlooking of the surrounding fields from the room, Owners were excellent, great conversation, good continental breakfast for which the owners were also very informative of destinations locally and with the Cognac region, would stay again in one of the Gites or larger rooms and will be recommending family to visit and stay in one of the aforementioned accommodations. Many thanks to the owners.
Cons: We did take all of our swimming gear, towels etc, to find that the pool was out of action, not a major problem, but we were expecting the facility and may have appreciated the heads up prior to packing the gear, but overall the room was comfortable, if a bit on the small size for a larger person but the Owners were excellent, possible suggest one of the Gites or larger rooms and check that the pool is available if you are expecting a swim.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very clean and in good order. Good shower and comfortable bed. There was a pleasant outdoor seating area and plenty of parking space and secure cycle parking. The grounds were nicely manicured and the abundant lavender buzzed with bees and smelt lovely
Cons: Hosts did not introduce themselves though they were welcoming enough. There are printed signs all over the place with instructions on what and what not to do to a degree which is over the top. We deliberately left the windows open (first floor) to dry some washing we’d done and came back from town to find them closed. There was a very slim chance of shower but no real reason to be concerned over the weather. Odd and a tad intrusive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly reception from Grant and Janet. We arrived with a broken bicycle gear cable which could of delayed us for several days. Grant very kindly gave us a cable of his from an old bike of his which we managed to fit. Nice spacious clean rooms overlooking the vineyards, and short ride into attractive Jarnac for food.

Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The pool in the backyard was very welcome on an exceptionally hot day.
Cons: On a busy main road on the very edge of Cognac - not a very attractive area. Room was rather small. The meal in the restaurant did not quite meet our expectations.

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, room was comfortable and sufficiently sized for my needs. The swimming pool looked good but I didn't use it. Very conveniently situated for the nearby sports centre.
Cons: There wasn't anything that I would have expected at the price that wasn't available. The only small issue was that the restaurant was closed, but central Cognac is only a short walk away with plenty of places to eat.

Pros: Close to the sport venue, and extremely friendly staff!
Cons: Location on the main road with traffic, lucky to have a room looking to the back of the building. A small refrigerator could have been nice.

Cons: Nothing but remember to plan evening meals as restaurants recquire a car journey

Pros: Breakfast was great with range of different home cooked and prepared treats each day. Location was fine if you had a car but in an ideal world would be nearer to Cognac. Jarnac was nearest railway station. Hosts were extremely kind and very willing to help in any way they could. Very relaxed calm atmosphere at the Logis. Only slight downside was old building floorboards and doors creaked and made lot of noise as guests retired at night and adjacent rooms plumbing sounds were very apparent.
Cons: More sound insulation from nose of other guests passing in corridors or using bath room facilities would have been nice.

Pros: Warm and personal
Cons: We visited during a heatwave and would love to have had a swim in a swimming pool.

Pros: Every detail thought out, perfect. The place was immaculate with beautiful grounds and personal service.

Pros: Beautiful stay in beautiful landscape. The breakfast was so delicious and all homemade. We enjoyed time very much.
6.3 Good
Pros: Logis de Guitres is a beautifully appointed and thoughtfully furnished French manor house situated behind high walls in the village of Chassors between Jarnac and Cognac. Chassors itself is an unattractive village with no shops, restaurants or any redeeming features but it is within a short drive of both Jarnac and Cognac. The lovely themed rooms and very comfortable bed with good quality linen were pristinely clean as was the en-suite bathroom. Each room has coffee/tea making facilities which was a bonus for that early morning cup of coffee. The rooms are in the main house which is used exclusively for guests who also have the use of a sunny sitting room. The continental breakfast served in the beautifully furnished dining room around a communal table was delicious there was home grown fresh produce from the garden, homemade jams and special homemade pastries which were different every morning a veritable feast to start the day. Corrine the hostess was very welcoming and happy to impart her extensive knowledge of the area as well as restaurant recommendations for evening meals. Whilst I cannot put my finger on the reason for it we did feel very uncomfortable and almost as if we were an imposition during our stay at Logis de Guitres maybe because we were the only guests. If you are travelling in the height of the season or in a group I would say that this property would have a very different ambiance. The owners have put a great deal of love and attention into making this property a beautiful oasis but would we stay at here again I somehow doubt it but for no other reason than its location we would prefer somewhere closer to Cognac or Saintes.
Cons: Whilst free WIFI was advertised and available it only worked intermittently and in the end we gave up because it was just so bad that we could not even access emails. I also tried to access the internet via my SFR sim card but this also proved unsuccessful.

7.9 Good
Pros: clean room, good bed, good water pressure on the shower. All in all good and clean small hotel, short walk to the river which was lovely
Cons: breakfast was quite simple, no fresh fruit (only watermelon in one morning), or vegetable, ham etc. Just one cheese and boiled eggs (cold in one morning). Very french, just sweet things. Noise from the corridor was annoying, door doesn't keep the noise out.
