Friendliness of all employees. Food was good.
I did not like the cleaniness as our room had empty potato chips bags under the table in addition to dust. Also, we booked a triple room and the hotel wanted to give us a double room with three beds along with no space to move around. They wanted to charge us more for the triple room which in fact was a double room. After some long discussions they finally honored our request and gave us a triple room. They also do not provide any channels in English.
Lunch was nice. Hotel receptionist when I arrived was helpful and rang the police re the taxi. Price was disgraceful for a 3 star situated miled from the city. And breakfast not included. I had to stay there as there was no other hotel available for the dates.
Restaurant in the hotel was very good too far from the city
good value for money
Friendly staff and good facilities. although a short bus ride to the city centre, the location isnt the best.
We stayed on night in transit. Restaurant staff served us at 10.30pm with a smile.
It was an excellent choice for a visit to Seville, the bus service into the city was very close & convenient. Free parking outside the hotel, our room was quiet because of double glazing. Could not find fault in this hotel & good value for money.
Staff were friendly and spoke good English.Room was clean and comfortable. Courtyard swimming pool was nice.Bus stop outside hotel for the centre.Seville is well worth the visit. Nothing much in the surrounding area.
Comfortable beds. Nothing.
good location good room service friendly staff very little english spoken by staff very poor wine choice
Location, near of a plaza de armas shopping center, good service, near the river,,, i recommend this hotel everything was gr8 but the parking was expinsive
the comfort and air conditioning the wireless was expensive
Please write at least 15 words
The bed was pretty comfortable, the shower was nice and the room was clean. Didn't feel the price was justified. Especially with breakfast not included, which was the norm every where else we've stayed in Europe. Thought the front desk staff could be friendlier. Main think preventing us from recommending is the cost.
Size of the room. Initial english welcome/help. Service when a problem (stolen camera) arose. Couldn't point us to a open police office (just a closed one, which they said was impossible :S). Wouldn't help call a (spanish speaking) policenumber (091/092, which we couldn't reach on our own). Just left us 'hanging'...
Good location, pool on the roof is excellent, very clean & comfortable Keys for the door frequently didn't work, brand new hotel so there was quite a bit of construction going on but nothing too severe
Good hotel in a good location. We were closer to the center than we thought, only a few blocks away from the start of shopping center.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Central to Sevilla; walking distance to most major tourist attractions.
the breakfast was great. this is not a 4star hotel.but for a 3 star hotel was very good.
Fantastic hotel, comfortable, efficient staff, lovely buffet breakfast. Our junior suite was amazing. One of the best hotels,... would stay at this hotel again.
Whilst not as central as we would have liked, the hotels staff and facilities were excellent. The only draw back is the location. As we were only there for 2 days it would have been better to have stayed in a hotel closer to the City centre. However a hotel of this quality would have been much more expensive in the City Centre, so maybe the balance was right?
Not much Nearly everything. First and foremost, it is a convention and meetings hotel, and as such, caters to large groups. As a result, the single guest gets relegated to the back of the line in terms of service. Our problems included: Our safe was not working when we checked in. The air conditioner kept the temperature at a humid 78 degrees. The internet connection did not work. The only concierge worked limited hours. The breakfast that we were promised on our reservation was not provided. The floor of the rooms was filthy. We left one day early because our experience was so poor. We negotiated our way out of the hotel at a reduced price due to all our problems. Also, as an aside, it is a 40 minute walk to the downtown area and any sites.
The room service and facilities were excellent. Lacked the evening dining facilities for the rest of the hotel quality.
the relaxing atmosphere the food menu
we found the hotel to be very clean and the furnishings exquisite , the grounds were well maintained .Thankyou for a nice stay. We found the international restaurant not very good value for money.
Very good value for money. Very comfortable hotel and very helpful staff Like many hotels in Spain, there are no tea/coffee making faclities
Friendliness and comform
Location and value of the hotel
Very good location, just a few minutes walk to the gates of old Cadiz. which is a lovely city to visit. A nice well run, very clean hotel. Helpful staff.
nothing - It was very noisy, we could hear a lot the street and the cleaners. The employees were not kind at all and the garage is very small and expensive.
We were only in the hotel for an overnight stay so we did not use any of the facilities. The room was clean but not a lot of space to move around in. It was a 15 minute walk to the center of the city which was okay early in the evening but it was a cab ride back to the hotel late at night. For our short stay in this hotel, the price was right.
in general good hotel. a little bit old bathroom of room 504 was old and presented stains on many tiles
The distance to the Railway station was vere important for us. we were surpriced about the working place outside the hotel
friendly staff, clean room, good price to service ratio, next to very good local restaurants for breakfast and tapas location (30 min out of city centre), lacking english of hotel staff, extremely expensive internet access (2€/10 min)
Friendly and helpful staff. Very good and complete breakfast included. Despite the warm weather, the room was always pleasantly cool. Rooms were a bit small, but this is no real complaint. In Seville, one is not likely to confine himself to a hotel room.
The hotel is really central in the city and walking distance from the train station.
Nice, clean room, real nice courtyard area
Nice room, good breakfast and lovely courtyard. Unusual yet typique.
the garden is very lovely, my room at ground floor, facing the garden the location is very difficult to find
The room Impossible to find or get to by car
Reception staff extremely helpful and friendly. Clean comfortable bed. Hot water at all times. Our room near a metal stair case which was noisy. Needed to have curtains shut as all windows/doors facing out to walkways. Hotel a little way out. Walking about 30 minutes - do not walk back late at night.
The staff was very helpful, the room was big with a nice bathroom. Very confortable beds, safe available in the room for free. Even if not in the very center of Seville, neighbourhood is very nice, near the Alameda de Hercules.
helpful staff, lovely surroundings, amenities the food in the restauruant was terrible. the charge of 60 euros for New Years' dinner was outrageous given the poor quality of the food
Very friendly/helpful staff. The wonderful courtyard to the hotel. The location within the historic quarter.
The friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Helpful staff. We did not use the pool but just dipping a hand in showed it was very greasy and also left the hand sticky.
lovely breakfast! patio!! feeling that you were in the country with birds singing in the morning!! so, one was in the city but not totally exposed to noise of the city!! oranges on the trees in patio!! there was too much noise in the foyer at night and early in the morning!! area for entertaining should be away from main reception/foyer area!!
the hotel was perfect except for the noice made when doors are closed, even when we re careful.... we came for a half marathon race and the geographical position was perfect for our race and for getting everywhere around town by foot the reception was perfect, especially with the very helpful and friendly lauren...and the nice guy at breakfast but i failed to get his name nothing in particular. just the noisy doors.
Very nice hotel Poor breakfast
The location was fantastic and the staff were really accommodating and the (common) bathrooms were cleaned many times per day. It was too far to walk to the (common) toilet in the middle of the night and there were too few functioning toilets and a shortage of showers in the morning. Very noisy esp at night. I did not sleep well at all.
The entrance hall and the patio are nice and comfortable. Around the hotel there are numerous cafes. Contrary to what was written in Booking.com when I made my booking, this is not a 4-star but a 3-star hotel: 3 stars appear in two places on the forefront and on the letterhead of the hotel. The corridors and rooms would not get more than 2 stars in Central Europe – but criteria/standards may vary from country to country. A double room without even a little table? When you use a glass from the minibar, it is left on the fridge? I took it to the reception the 1st time believing it was a little oversight, but the following day it was just the same: dirty glass left on top of the fridge… And what about a TV screen hanged in a position from where you cannot watch the TV unless you stand at the entrance of the bathroom?
It's location was great for the city and the Cathedral. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a choice of cereals, cooked food including sausages and bacon, cold foods of ham and cheese etc and good coffee The air con was set to automatically come on when one entered the room and only blew cold air so we had to remember to switch it off straight away. It was November!
Location, breakfast in a little garden Hard to find if driving
The price. The tranquilidad. It is a large hotel , therefore quite impersonal. But all ok. My room was very dark, but I was there in late autumn. Dark in hot summer temperatures is good, not so good in the cold weather. The location among grey and dirty streets. I know a better hotel quite closeby.
The room was fantastic - clean, comfortable bed and great staff. The location was not ideal.
Good value for money, very good breakfast. We had read the rooms were small but were given a room for 3 people and there were 2 of us staying, so the space was good. Bed was a bit hard
We were in the old part of the city next to Hercules square with lots of shops and retaurants surrounding us. The staff was very helpful, quick to provide keen advice on what to do and where to go. The pillows were rock hard, very uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny. We were there visiting the city with another couple, the city is so vibrant and fun that we stayed up until 3 am people watching, eating tapas, drinking sangrias and watching the young folks partying it up. By the time we made it back to the room we were so tired that we didn't let the hard pillow bother us. Extended stayers may need to figure something out.
Location in center of city I would have preferred two beds
The staff was not very friendly or helpful. The walls were very thin and at night it was hard to sleep because of the noise coming from other rooms. The lighting in the rooms was poor. The restaurant had no menu in English. The English of the staff was generally poor.
We were in the old part of the city with lots of shops and restaurants surrounding us. The staff was very helpful, quick to provide keen advice on what to do and where to go. very good breakfast, Clean room. Thank you!!
cleanliness of my room, brand new hotel n/a
Good location but access difficult with car. but this is an overall problem with Seville. A constant bad smell permanently in the room. The hotel staff said all the rooms suffered from this because there had not been rain. As hotel was full they couldnt move us.
Good Location. Spotless room and bathroom. Room was rather small for size of bed.
Helpful reception staff No
Good location and friendly staff
clean, excellent a/c, great breakfast. worth the money.
Our daily walking trip to the historic part of the old city (only 15 to 25 minutes) through the old city, visiting coffee bars, a choice of (small) restaurants and many stores. The room was quite small (but comfortable and very clean).
Clean & big enough room, good free wi-fi connection, well equipped bathroom (spacious shower cabin, hair-dryer, set of new towels), underground parking lot (good price), no surcharge for extra 4 hours of parking after check-out so we could leave the car at hotel with our belongings and do more city exploring, no business center but staff was helpful and kind to do some printing for us w/o extra charge. Noisy hotel especially from 7:30am when breaksfast is starting. I suggest wearing ear-plugs during night - otherwise you will hear your neighbours snoring or taking shower, etc. However, we learnt to travel with sound-stoppers and we avoid such troubles in any similar places :) Little chance to park in the street, narrow entrance to underground garage, if we came with Nissan X-trail we could have difficulty to enter.
very help full staff, comfortable room, clean and well equipped, a little too far from the city, when you have a walking problem.
On day 2 many of the hot breakfast meals were not replaced at 10am when we and many after us came for breakfast.
friendly staff, excellent suggestions finding the place, sorting out the parking
The welcome at the hotel was exceptional and the staff couldn't have dome more to welcome us and provide information on the city, special areas to visit plus restaurants. Superb location!
Perfect position in a very nice and quiet street (no car allowed) at 1 minute from Cathedral and pedestrian zone. The staff is perfect, in particular I want to thank Paco for his tips about shopping and dinner. Great bathroom and shower, very clean room and very comfortable.
Very helpful staff. Street noise.
The Hotel Alminar is perfectly located within walking distance of the cathedral, alcazar, etc. Maria in reception was absolutely phenomenal--recommending tapas standouts, locating markets and generally making logistics a breeze. This is a great place to stay!
The helpfulness of the owner and his staff was great (nothing was ever too much trouble) and the central location made it easy to visit the sights of old town in Seville.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. All of their recommendation about dining and sights were wonderful. The room was always clean and comfortable. The location was perfect.
Very convenient location. Staff were outstnandingly helpful and friendly. Modern decor tastefully done
location; helpfulness of staff
staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. Lobby smelled kind of funny.
The location of the hotel is close to perfect and staff is very helpful and tries to ensure in every way guests have everything they need the breakfast could use some more variation
The breakfast buffet is the best we've seen -- and we've seen quite of few. Some of the male personnel were less than couteous -- and this isn't male chauvinis -- that's my wife's comment.
the hotel was located in a good area, not far from the metro and in front of shopping/commercial centers. the room (13th floor) was modern, comfortable and nicely furnished. the air conditioning wasn't working well.
I liked the location of the hotel, the swimming pool and the value for price. The front desk staff could be more friendly and a bot quicker. They seemed rather annoyed and uninterested.
closeness to rail station The staff were not helpful in spite of our fluent Spanish. They were too old and abrubt
Close to trainstation, the guy who checked us out made up for the lack of warmth the other staff showed us Disinterest of the check-in staff,no smiling or even a sign of life
(ex) luxury hotel with a nice swimming pool and bar. Large clean rooms which might need a shake up. To far from the old city center to walk, but good metro connection
Good location Most of the staff are rude including the hotel's manager.
this hotel was modern and stylish, rooms were not huge but that was probably due to the massive king-size bed which was very comfy, service provided was quick and friendly. v.good value for money. learn spanish before you go here as nobody will understand you which can be very frustrating although same can be said for the rest of seville tbh, spare bed for my four year old was not the best but it was free, location to city centre also not the best will cost you 6/7 euro to the catherdral.
excellent staff assistance - both room and front desk and breakfast spread. Close to Rail Station
The convenience of the site and the hotel facilities. The hotel breakfast was superb. The automatic central heating temperature could not be reduced in our bedroom.
Located within 10-mins walk of the Historic Centre, the Real Alcazar and the Cathedral. Rooms comfortable. On a main road but the traffic noise did not really permeate. Parking the car! The garage is in an adjoining building, costs €15 per night and entering & exiting is a nightmare.....unless you have a short wheelbase Smartcar!
It's in a good positions for visiting the town.. the staff very nice and friendly
Everything. Most enjoyable stay. Hotel difficult to find from the instructions. No
Staff was very courteous and prompt with requests. They were very responible and friendly. Too much noise from surrounding rooms. We could hear everything.
Good location and nice staff
perfect located in near the town centre old fashoned rooms, parkintg is 2 streets away from hotel
Lovely friendly helpful staff - especially the maid None at all
Good location - near Alcazar. Good breakfast. Hotel parking expensive and difficult. Fittings, furniture a bit worn.
Good value for money, good location and friendly professional staff
The staff were very helpful and the hotel's location is excellent. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and only a short walk to the historic centre of Sevilla. Room quite small, but good bathroom.
Nice design Non personalised services, bad location (by a busy corridor) of room 031
The hotel was beautiful, from the lobby to the outdoor courtyard, to the restaurant, to our actual room. The hotel blended history with moderninty well. The restaurant was delicious - we ate dinner one evening there, and although there was only one other couple, our food and wine were great. The location was great, walking distance to the Barrio de Santa Cruz.
I liked the attitude of the staff and their willingness to help in whatever capactity they are able to. Moroever, i liked the interior decoration of the hotel. We are vegetarians and found the restaurant menu limited for our tastes.
The AlmaSeville is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are incredible and the staff are delightful.
Beautifully restored hotel with modern, comfortable rooms. Definitely something special as it does feel quite luxurious. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Would certainly stay there again.
I had the first day (a 8 nights stay) a room without window. Then I ask another room ,there was no tub in the bathroom and no direct light from outside. This is a dark room hotel.Five stars??? Yes,a five star jail in the dark
Hotel is new and very nice. Staff was very helpful. Should have coffee maker in the room.
Beautiful hotel in a great location with lovely staff. Breakfast servings were a bit on the small side, but they were delicious.
Good location, attentive staff, luxury interior
the hospatality, the service, the service in the restaraunt
Friendly staff, very clean, lovely rooms, excellent location. Loved the rooftop pool and the pool staff!
the rooms and bathroom don't have enough storage space,no hooks in the bathroom,it is OK for 1-2 nights, but not practical for a longer stay
the roof top pool was vvvvery nice and a great hiatus from the hot bussel of the sevilla streets. i wish that there was a bar there though. the staff was sort of gruffily helpful and not all that friendly.
trhe pool terrace, the location, the friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and the late checkout as requested
It was so close to city centre. So there was no problem for us to reach where we wanted soon. Hotel staff was good enough. Although it was difficult to find people who know English even in hotels in Spain, we faced no problem about communication.
The hotel was central to all the places of interest. We did not need to use the car during our visit. The hotel staff were very helpful with the garage parking. Even though the breakfast was very substantial the price would be prohibitive to those with families
The location was great and the staff was very friendly. We also really liked all the hotel facilities, especially the swimming pool.
The location is very good
The hotel is an excellent mixture of old European elegance and very modern updates. The bed was luxurious, the bath was gorgeous marble, the room spacious and the balcony overlooked the cobblestone street. The WIfi worked well. It is centrally located with easy walking access to upscale shopping, Flamenco, the Cathedral, etc. Breakfast was too pricey at 18 Euro when there is an abundance of cafes in the adjacent plaza.
10 minute walk to city center To get into the city center you have to cross a narrow busy road
breakfast was very nice finding your way around in the hotel
Beautiful building, very close to the main sights in Sevilla. Our room was a bit too warm.
very convenient for shopping sightseeing and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful, valet parking a bonus. Room only adequate
Location, helpful and friendly staff Si..no hay bar! But, in summer I expect that the open bar on the roof is beautiful (wonderful view)
Location of the hotel
Really good, clean hotel with helpful staff
Good central location, good facilities.
The hotel is in a good location. The cost of breakfast is too expensive. Also, they shouldn't charge for the use of the internet.
Very nice hotel, central location, our room was located on the top floor with a spectacular view on the cathedral.
There was not one thing that was better than the whole stay. They did give us a room with a large terrace for the dog which was just great, overlooking the city of Seville.
Hotel was comfortable and within 10 min walk to most areas you'd want to visit. Staff were very helpful. The bedroom lighting was ridiculously dim and the breakfast, although good, was expensive. Didn't find many eating places close to the hotel. Not the hotel's fault but taxi to and from airport very expensive.
Nice hotel very clean rooms No wireless lan in the rooms
Pretty hotel, very clean and quiet. Customer service was fair. This could be a great hotel if the front desk staff was trained better in customer care.and under good management.
Close to center of city and proximity to Metro station Room was to dark at night, need more light.
High quality hotel. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. All facilities available. 13 euro breakfast was excellent. Very good room rates. Easy 15 min stroll downtown. 5 min to airport bus stop. Some may find absence of local facilities a problem. We didn't.
All facilities, room, pool area very good
The confort of the Hotel Need to pay the parking
The room and amenities are fantastic for the price I paid. Staff also allowed us to check in early at around 9am. Free Internet is wired. Would prefer wifi as there were 2 laptops in use.
Quiet, spacious and comfy. The lack of local spirit could disappoint those who come for touristic rather than business purposes.
Very comfortable, friendly staff, great value for money. 10- 15 min walk to centre and excellent a/c, essential when it was 39c in mid-september.
The hotel was clean, neat and tidy (no 'roaches climbing the ceilings). The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the chap with the moustache who helped us out by pointing out the interesting places to see on a map. The hotel was conveniently located for most of the attractions (not just the cathedral and Alcazar but also the marmalade-selling nuns of Santa Paula and the excellent Museum of Flamenco which puts on a quite exhilarating show at 7/7:30pm most evenings). No breakfasts. There was no large double beds, just two single (or maybe small double) beds that we had to push together.
Very convenient location, nice small hotel which is above the more famous restaurant with the same name which is an excellent place to eat. Aslo recommended a visit to the shop where you will find mots of Sevillian and Spanish typical products. What did not work for me was the mattress in the bed, which was quite uncomfortable. The rooms either face the main busy road or some inner courts which are very small and not well aventilated, so you feel a bit claustrofobic, especially during the warm and long summer.
Refrigerator filled with cold drinks was priceless during hot days. Niecely chilled rooms equipped with quiet AC, bath and decent shower without these terrible plastic courtains. Perfect location - 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral through old city beatiful narrow steets. Good (and cheap) places to eat / tapas bars in the area. Overall a good place to stay (although not overly modern or luxurious) despite of some minor disadvantages described below. They made one serious blunder - gave the key (card) to our room to a wrong person so we ended up face to face with an equally surprised guest returning from his evening out to a wrong room. To be honest it was mainly the guest's fault as he had tried to use his card, and after it had not worked (which is not surprising having in mind he was trying to enter the wrong room!) he went down to the reception desk and asked the card to be replaced, giving his room number (again - wrong room number...). Still - not a nice experience to see a stranger entering your room... Also, our remote for tv was missing - not much of a problem as tv channels are in Spanish only :)
Very clean and comfortable and fairly spacious. Nice bathroom including hairdryer. Very good location. Good location with 10 - 15 walk to the cathedral. Sevilla's oldest tapas bar, the Rinconcillo lies on the other side of the square. Very good value. Our window had no view - but those at the front of the hotel overlooked the square and had wrought iron balconies.
Excellent staff and good apartments. Totally recommended!
the reception staff, we meet two, one in the morning and evening the broken toilet which was dangerous, and was an accident waiting to happen because it was cracked at the base meeting with the tiled floor around the bolt fixing. It was reported to reception on the morning we left 8th oct. We would return to the hotel and would reccomend it.
Good location, about 15 minutes walk to the center of Seville, cheap price
We thought the staff was very nice and the hotel clean and comfortable. The location was fairly convenient for walking to everything we wanted to see in the historic city. The elevator was unreliable, there was no window in the room other than to an inner courtyard, there was unexplained noise throughout the night, there was no real lobby to sit in and no restaurant or breakfast service.
The staff was very helpful and nice, the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the hotel was close to the centre and El Corte Inglés.
good location facility is not so good, but clean..
New budget hotel near the major shopping area. Since you are 2 blocks from the local department store there are alot of restaurants and other activities happening in that area. There is no sign for the hotel. Have a map and make sure you know the address.
Clean. Good maintanence. Excellent localization. Not expensive. Noise at nights (out of the hotel)
Up to standard hotel and cleaninesss The breakfast could be much much better. all other services excellent. other clients there complainted also about breakfast
It is a simple hotel however with all required facilities needed for a city trip. The breakfast is poor however in relation to the price.
The location of the hotel was perfect - just 5 minutes walking distance away from the cathedral, the main shopping road and a lot of other interesting sights. The room decoration was really nice and it was very quiet. I never got in contact with such an unfriendly staff. We had to check in at a different hotel about 100 meters away, but that was not a problem at all. The man at the reception only spoke spanish and was more interested in writing messages with his cellphone than helping us. Therefore I have to say that the service level was very low. Also the breakfast only consisted of a toast (jam, butter), orange juice and a coffee machine - all self service. But there is a grocery store just next to the hotel so we bought cornflakes and cheese there.
Very clean room, which was cleaned every day. The room we has was very close to the street and the noises kept us awake. We were then transfered to another room, which was very nice!
We booked 3 rooms at this hotel and was more than satisfied with both the excellent service we received and the cleanliness of the rooms. Our only complaint if we had to make 1 would be the lack of a hotel bar ... very small complaint.
The location and the friendly reception people. Breakfast could be improved. The rooms on the ground floor are too noisy and the glass above the door should be covered so that the light from the reception don't get in. We changed to a upper level and they are ok.
