Pros: Everything! The place was beautiful and well equipped and comfortable. Beautifully restored home by a master craftsman.
Pros: Fully equipped kitchen with basic supplies and washing machine, which was very helpful. In a beautiful national park and a convenient location on our way north to Leon. BBQ available as well on the porch.
Pros: Friendly and helpful owners. They even lit the wood fire for our arrival. Very well equipped kitchen. Firm bed. Spotlessly clean. Quaint village with chiming church bells.
Pros: Amazing host, in a beautiful traditional house, all renovated with comfortable room, clean bathroom, kitchen, parking and wifi (important in this area with little phone service)! Best quality for money
Pros: Comfortable, clean and beautiful house with a shared, well-equipped kitchen and lounge area. Wi-fi was slow but to be expected in this remote area. Luís was an excellent host - friendly and always ready to help. He shared with us his knowledge of apiculture and brought us to see his bees. A car is needed to explore the surrounding area. There is no grocery shop in the village so you need to bring your own food supply. The village is very peaceful and quiet at night. We did a day trip to Lake Sanabria in Spain (the largest glacier lake in Europe) and visited quaint little villages like Rio de Onor and the pretty Spanish town of Puebla de Sanabria on the way. If you like hiking, there is a trail that starts and ends in the village. It is about 8 km long and there is a write-up of this trail just in front of the house. Follow the red-and-yellow line as this is the trail - the ‘Percurso Pedestre de Ornal’ - which leads you back to the village. It was a lovely getaway for us and the accommodation was great value for money. Highly recommended! Obrigada Luís :)
Pros: Kitchen facilities, laundry facilities. Private room. Good value.
Pros: The location is within a National Park in a small village. It is in a house with a fireplace and a kitchen. The owner was very nice and tried very hard to make our short stay pleasant. It is a very quiet, remote area.
Cons: There are few to no services in the small village, which should be expected given how small the village is. It would be better as a base for exploring the park with friends and planning on using the kitchen to cook meals.
