Pros: Comfortable room. Proprietor friendly.
Cons: We arrived around 7pm. There is nowhere to get any food as the place is in the middle of nowhere. We had to manage with snack food we had with us. Breakfast was very basic. Basically bread and jam !
Recently constructed in the heart of the city of Clisson, this boutique hotel offers breathtaking views of its medieval castle and the edges of Sevres. At the junction of the Loire-Atlantique, Vendee and Anjou, discover the jewels of the Nantes vineyards in a romantic setting! Housed in the old mill Delaroche, who made the heyday of the local economy in the last century, this new 4-Star hotel, the Best Western Plus Villa Saint Antoine Hotel & Spa, the only establishment of its kind in the country of the Nantes vineyards, creates a chic and elegant air to the Dolce Vita. Certainly romantic with the historic Chateau de Clisson city which stands in the face and edges of the Sevre Nantes that can be enjoyed from the magnificent terrace bar-restaurant. This charming hotel has preserved the architectural design of this Italian city. Enjoy your stay.
Pros: The hotel is in a great location next to the river with a fantastic view of the Castle. Terrace area and pool is perfect for relaxing. Rooms were spacious, modern and stylishly decorated.
Cons: We were unlucky that the air conditioning in our room didn’t function on this particularly hot day. We contacted reception 3 times. It was only when a new staff member arrived after 4 hours and actually came into our room that the problem was resolved, by moving us to another room with functioning air conditioning. We are very grateful. Despite that issue we would definitely recommend the Best Western.
Pros: Beautiful town, great view out over river and castle
Cons: The room was very hot and the air conditioning did not work effectively. The room was spacious but needed a little more decoration or character features
Pros: very helpful reception staff.
Cons: Room 9 far too hot air conditioning not apparently working. Staff not interested when advised in the morning
Pros: Great location, very good breakfast and friendly staff
Cons: Maybe more tea and coffee in the room would be nice
Pros: location and terrace by river
Cons: room was disappointing and so was breakfast.
Pros: Great location, and super nice view of the terrasse. Confort ok and bed nice.
Cons: Bkfast was nice, even the lady a bite rude. Strange to see her taking the croissant directly with her hand while removing the buffet...
Pros: The rooms are spacious. There is a nice pool and the restaurant has a good menu with a lovely atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: The hotel is near the castle, supermarket and the city centre. The room was very clean, spacious and comfy. The staff was amazing and the parking place was very helpful. Great stay overall!
Pros: Lovely spacious room with balcony. Excellent restaurant dinner. Stunning views from the terrace. A great property in this delightful location
Located in Gétigné, Chambres d'hotes - B&B is on a river, within a 10-minute drive of Fulling Mill of Cugand and Clisson Castle. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Home made breakfast adds a personal touch to the hospitality!!
Cons: The location is hard to find during late night time
Pros: Silence and surroundings, very friendly host
Cons: no cleaning during the stay, no TV
Pros: The house is situated down an unmade road, but it is worth every bump in that road. It is simple, charming, and set in the most stunning of surrounding, and added to that the hosts are delightful!
Pros: Lovely location and very nice hosts. Lovely breakfast.
Pros: A lovely place with a relaxed sense about it , . Dan , Annie and family were very welcoming and helpful . Loved every moment.
Cons: Location and road to it very bad. No lighting from car park into door. A long walk on uneven ground. Room was ok but some rubbish left in bin in bathroom from previous guest. Had to ask for soap for hand basin. Towels were clean but were coloured old looking and worn and weren't nice and fresh and clean looking. Room and bed was not made up between the 2 nights we stayed. Breakfast was poor. Breads and jam with tea and coffee. Very basic. Tablecloth looked like an old worn sheet on table and was not clean and fresh looking. Very disappointed as only booked because it had got good reviews.
Located in Gorges, Château de l'Oiselinière is within a 10-minute drive of Museum of the Nantes vineyard and Clisson Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Nothing it was lovely
Pros: Nice simple breakfast, nice hosts, lovely place, cute huge dog! :D
Pros: The architecture was cool and good breakfast
Cons: The owners are RACIST. I was shouted at, was not allowed to lock my room, but other French customers were able to lock theirs. no help when needed. French customers were treated as royalty. This is a disgrace to be treated like I was. Do not go if you are English as you will be treated very badly. I loved my holiday in France, being treated very courteously by everyone except here.
Pros: Beautiful building and location. Fabulous breakfast and very nice owners.
Pros: The Château is located in a beautiful area.
Cons: All the photos that appear on the booking of the main house are a decoy. Guests do not have access to the main house, all rooms are in a side annex. The rudeness and dislike of the person who is managing this space, the worst experience of my life! Cleaning the bathroom too bad, hair on other people's floors when I entered for the first time. Breakfast time despite being published in the room isn't fulfilled, and is only served when they desire and the schedule changes from day to day. Wifi is free! yes but it doesn't work.
Pros: We had a wonderful, friendly welcome from Isabelle. The rooms were beautifully appointed & comfortable although they are in a side wing not actually in the Chateau. The breakfast in the Orangerie was outstanding.
Cons: We weren’t informed through Booking.com that you can reserve at the Chateau for dinner. However Clisson, a charming medieval town, situated on pretty river 5 mins away with many restaurants.
Pros: Wonderful escape to a bye-gone world. Lovely family, whose advice on vineyards to visit, restaurants, routes - and their own wine, of course - was generously given and of immense value. We have travelled much of the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels: this Chateau would justify a dedicated visit.
Pros: A wonderful peaceful setting where one can hear the birds uninterrupted by the background drone of life which is of architectural and historic interest. I can truly say that the whole of our stay was most enjoyable: breakfast was a delight with a wide and daily varied choice and our most charming and informative hosts. The rooms were large comfortable and well appointed. Not run of the mill, a little quirky but as far as we were concerned all part of the pleasure.
Cons: Nothing - but beware it is a long and bumpy avenue to reach the entrance and no internet.
Pros: Location and accommodation was peaceful.
Cons: We booked and paid for a superior room that was confirmed as having a bath as we do not like showers. There was no bath! The soap in the bathroom was second hand and we felt that the hosts were not bothered as to whether we were comfortable or not. Given the lack of attention to details, although the accommodation was in an historic chateau, the overall impression was of poor value and thus less than we had expected resulting in our disappointment.
Pros: We've a got few kinds of very fresh bread with home made jams. The home-made yogurt and fruit salad were accompanied with nice coffee and tasty tea. Bad and lining as well as toilet accessories were at very high standard. The room was very clean ans warmed specially for us.
Cons: In the morning we've told the owner that hot water was not hot enough. And she apologized and called plumber.

Pros: Extremely simple check in process (keys left on the door for us), so no waiting time.
Pros: the beds were comfortable and good linen
Cons: I picked an older French hotel rather than a chain because I hoped to find a more personal service and better French cuisine, it was none of these things. The shower room was very poor, the wash basin leaked so the floor was very wet,. and the shower not attached to the wall so not easy to operate and as we were 4 in the family totally impractical wit young children. The food very disappointing.
Pros: I was allowed to check in early and check out late at no extra charge. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. The food was the best I've ever eaten! Will stay again there next time.
Pros: Friendly staff; good location for our travel. Nice coffee/good breakfast
Cons: room a bit spartan; does a little bar of soap = toiletries provided ?
Located in Clisson, HOTEL DE LA GARE is a 2-minute drive from Clisson Castle and 6 minutes from Fulling Mill of Cugand. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Basic breakfast but plenty of it Evening meal reasonably priced
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: My room was very badly maintained with flaking paint and no shower.
Pros: It's close to train station, the market and city center. It's small city so very easy to walk. Good bedroom/bathroom. The breakfast it's simple but good.
Cons: You have to face the stairs, so prepare to take the bags.
Pros: reasonable evening meal
Cons: the staircase and no car park. Attempted to charge for breakfast which we did not have. Major problem getting to hotel because of ROUTE-BARREE. Eventually we went down a No entry street and cut through a pedestrian pathway . French Tourist Board please take note The thing what infuriates tourist most ;be they British, Dutch,Germans,Swiss or East Europeans is those Damn blasted Route Barees. Our trip
Pros: The hôtel is well located in the center of Clisson.
Cons: The hotel is old and need a full revamping. There was a smell from the shower and bathroom due to old pipe and summer time. No a/c. So not fun in summer. Lukely it was not a warm, very hot night this summer. Price is just ok for what you get. It is a basic place, with basic services.
Pros: Location, big room, fair price.
Cons: Staff barely speak english. No AC, no fan.
Pros: For an average price the facilities were very basic and a bit tired. The bed was fine and the sheets were clean and comfortable. The location is good and parking easy.
Cons: Disinterested staff small room and very basic room facilities. Towels were good but one plastic bottle of shower gel and two plastic cups. Breakfast included bread fruit honey and jam. The room was very hot and no fan available.
Pros: Nice breakfast, Good location. Good value for money.
Cons: Some areas looking shabby.
Pros: Always the same
