Comfortable beds, should have had tea, coffee and ironing facilities in room. Evening food a little pricey. Ok for a business trip stay..not for holiday stop. No facility for heavy luggage, we had a our 1 year old with us and lots to take to the room with no help from annyone..had to borrow a food trolly and make 2 trips. Coming from the UK expected a large double bed, but had two singles..
The staff and accommodation was just very very good, we were very well looked after, even though we missed breakfast they just charged slightly more for all us to have brunch. Which was first class. Will stay there again for sure. Just one point the charge on the room was taken from the credit card, even though the booking was based on paying on departure.
I enjoyed my stay in the Hotel Asteria and wouldn't hesitate to return there. The staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful and spoke excellent English. The location was excellent and the hotel itself was nice and modern and set in beautiful grounds with plenty parking space. The restuarant was very good but expensive for us Brits at the moment with the week pound. Although not many hot items to choose from in the breakfast buffet i.e. boiled eggs, scrambled egg and streaky bacon(where is the lovely Dutch back bacon!) there was fresh rolls, toast, cold meats, cheese, cereals, etc. everything you would find in a "Continental" breakfast. Two small things (1) the towels were too small and (2) No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.
Nice location Too noisy - loud music, party somewhere
Easy to book, nice hotel, fantastic staff (Eric Gorman really mad us enjoy ourself) Our room looked a little tired and shabby (but was very clean), water poured out of shower
Good hotel at low price
Quiet, convenient location, excellent breakfast, good decor, comfortable room. staff helpful. smoking in public areas unpleasant.
They gave me a bottle of water when I went away, very nice touch! the rooms were a little bit noisy, I heard everything my neighbours were doing
Clean and comfortable and close to ammanities
The staff was friendly, room nice, location good. The breakfast was poor and coffe terrible.
Reception accommodated our late arrival, after their 11 pm closing. There is a church clock tower that chimes every half hour and then rings 100 plus times early in the morning. Very disruptive when we are not use to such a noise. Did not sleep well at this hotel. Would recommend the hotel for excellent location to the shopping and restaurants and friendly reception service, but not if you want a restful, quiet sleep (due to the church clock).
Thank`s for staf very frendly
Friendlyness of the staff The church tower next to the hotel was loud
The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very freindly and helpful staff. Nice location in the square with tables in the square. Just need a handle on the shower doo in room 1
The rooms were very spacious, with separate toilet and bathroom. Staff was friendly. Diner was great.
Very friendly and helpfull staff
I found that the Staff was very helpful in assisting with every thing that I needed. I was traveling for business and have a poor understanding of the language, so I relied heavily on the staff for assistance. They were exceptional!
Very helpful staff - especially as I arrived quite late and I appreciated their help ordering in some food as the restaurant was closed
friendly staff, good breakfast with lots of choice.
The staff were excellent The noisy air conditioning, even if turned off the motor starts every two minutes and then turns off, other rooms were the same as could here them.
The personal attention and care are exemplary. The setting is scenic. Though some amenities are quite basic, this farmers B&B is very complete. A bit remote (if you were looking fotr city life:-)
Walking distance to village centre, spacious layout, easy parking, clean. Breakfast on Sunday mediocre with fried eggs not freshly prepared (overcooked).
quiet, clean, bar access, breakfast service wireless is a bit slow
Great, relaxing place to stay.
Nice, Quite, Friendly.
The hotel location on the river is very special. The setting of the hotels, the rooms and the food are all outstanding. Indeed a very special place. Highly recommended. None
A very clean, freindly hotel in the country.
A very nice hotel in a quiet location on the banks of the Maas River..Our room was large (a Junior Suite) and the bed very comfortable. We spent only one night but would definitely return for a longer stay. The managers were very friendly..
The beauty of the environment, the excellent food, the warm welcome, the competent service and the size and equipment of the room.
The extreme kindness aénd service!
Supper, as usual
It was extremely comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were helpful and couteous and the food was excellent.
Quaint and eclectic decor and excellent service. Lovely breakfast in a formal yet peaceful atmosphere. We did not know the hotel and restaurant catered to an upscale clientele. We walked into the hotel lobby/restuarant entrance/lounge with our casual travelling clothes and received a few chilly glances from the Sunday evening diners. It would not stop me from returning or recommending this hotel.
